A few more boys popped into, actually, the rest of the crew that walked in were guys. The last one that walked in was a familiar face. “Jeremy!” Randy shouted out at the brunette. He quickly looked up seeing the familiar faces that he had met a few days ago. Randy was frowning, “What the hell? We’re sitting with them? Mister Chauffeur, I think there’s a mistake!” Randy tried to shout out the chauffeur as he moved closer towards the teenagers.
“There is no mistake, young sir,” The man gave away the faintest smile, “This, young Master Jeremy, is the step-son of Master William. Young sir,” He placed a glove hand on Jeremy’s shoulders, “Young master Danny is the biological son of your step-father. Now, since all of you are acquainted, shall we get going?” The chauffeur stood up straight once more as he closed the door and made his way over towards the driver’s seat.
Rochelle shifted her way closer towards her boyfriend, wrapping an arm around his. She rested her head on his shoulders. Danny, for one, was stiff. He didn’t talk to his friends, but instead they used sign language to communicate. “I can’t believe it. I am related to that bastard over there. ” The group, other than Randy and Rochelle gave him an odd look, “He tried to hit on my girlfriend. ”
Rochelle shyly glanced over at Jeremy, seeing him stare directly at her. Her eyes widened quickly looking elsewhere. “Danny… he is scaring me.” She tugged at his shirt. The blonde glanced over towards his newly met step-brother and frowned. “Switch places with me. ” He leaned in, kissing her gently on the lips.
“We’re almost there, hang in there. ” He held her hand tightly, squeezing it gently. “I love you.”
She smiled, “I love you, too.”
“Hah!” The members of Celestial Haven turned towards the sudden outburst of laughter. “Love, is it? It’s not ‘love.’.” The girl folded her arms across her chest, crossing her leg over the other in a different position. “Look, you’re what, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen years old -some of us, like me, even older. You’d think it’s love? I say it’s infatuation.”
“You know,” Scott frowned, “It’s quite rude eavesdropping on others.”
“It’s not that hard to hear what they’re saying when there’s complete silence all around.” The girl retorted, shooting a glare at Scott. After that, it was complete and utter silence for the rest of the limo ride.
They drove through the nearby downtown city, getting glances from other passerby’s wondering if it was a celebrity behind the dark windows. It was about a thirty minutes drive to Danny’s father’s mansion – or rather Master William’s mansion. His house was bigger than Danny’s, bigger than Russell’s – or even the two of their houses combined together. Rochelle and the rest of the Spontaneous Combustion members stared out of the window. It was almost like the White House. Celestial Haven and Jeremy have been to William’s house, of course, being childhood friends and sons would be an exception.
“It’s a beautiful place.” Rochelle whispered, her mouth dropping open.
The limousine pulled to a stop once it had pulled into the drive way. The teenagers waited for the chauffeur to open the door. Instead, some of the maids walked up to the limo, opening both sides of it for the teenagers. The chauffeur made his way over towards the trunk to retrieve the luggage. Rochelle smiled, thanking the maids as she walked out, taking a good look around the mansion. Danny’s place was nothing compared to his father’s.
“Ah… There’s my two favorite sons.” An man dressed in blue robes walked out with his arms out and a smile across his face. He was the rich man. William. Rochelle and the rest of the group stayed back as Danny and Jeremy made their way over towards their father. “How are you, Danny?”
Danny glanced up at his father. “Fine.” Then he looked away. Danny resembled his father very much. They were both tall, though Danny towered his father by just a little, and the blonde hair and blue eyes.
“That’s very nice. And Jeremy! How is college life for you?”
“It’s going well, almost a sophomore.” He grinned, turning around to look at Rochelle for a moment.
She blinked a few times, raising an eyebrow. College? Rochelle nudged Randy, giving him an awkward look. He replied with a quick shrug. She folded her arms as both groups waited for the sons and the father to get acquainted.
“Well, let’s meet the friends.” Danny’s father wrapped his arms around both his sons as they walked over towards their friends. “Russell, Randy, Robert…” The man smiled, “Still can’t tell which one’s which, but it’s okay! When I call your name, one of your heads will turn.” He laughed, “Mike, Scott, Jonathan… and… who’s this girl?” He made his way over towards Rochelle, his blue eyes examining every inch of her. “You’re a new face, aren’t you? New singer in your group?”
“No.” Danny walked over towards Rochelle, wrapping his arms around her shoulders, “Dad, this is my girlfriend, Rochelle Lee. She and I have been going out for almost six months now. We’ve been friends since I moved to South Carolina.” The man nodded and smiled at his son.
“That’s very nice.” William held a hand out that Rochelle gratefully took, “It’s nice to meet you, Rochelle. I hope that you will enjoy your stay here for the next four days.” He smiled, shaking her hands as he made his way over towards his step-son. “Have you found a girl like your brother over there?” He placed a hand on Jeremy’s shoulder as Jeremy pretended to laugh and shot a glare over at Danny.
"I'm still looking, pops."
He then introduced his friends to his father. “Wonderful! Wonderful! It’s a pleasure to meet you guys. Now, I bet you kids are hungry, let’s go in and get some food to eat.” He walked off towards the mansion.
“Your father seems like a nice man, I don’t understand why you don’t like why you don’t like him.” Rochelle rubbed his arms gently, kissing his cheek.
Danny sighed a little, pursing his lips and shrugged, “I guess you’d have to get to know him on a more personal level. C’mon.” He leisurely made his way over towards the mansion, dreading each and every step. He held the door open for his friends and left it there without being anything polite to the crew of Spontaneous Combustion.
“How childish…” The drummer of Jeremy’s band, sneered, holding the door open. “Why is it that we have to live with high school students?”
Jeremy entered with a shrug, “But I like that Rochelle.”
“She’s got a hot bod.” He grinned, slapping his friend on the back once everyone entered. They took a few left turns and right turns before they finally reached the dining room. The group made their way over towards one side of the table as the other sat in their side. There was an awkward silence as everyone sat down.
“Well, why don’t you guys get more acquainted?” William sat down at the head of the table, smiling slightly. “I’m sure you guys are dying to get to know each other. Why don’t you go around, introducing each other? Jeremy, why don’t you start first?”
He glanced at his step-father, raising an eyebrow, “What? Oh… Hi,” His nostrils flared slightly, not sure what to say. “I … My name is Jeremy, I’m nineteen years old, and let’s see… I like girls.” He gave the group a crooked grin as his gray eyes stared at Rochelle. “I’m majoring in graphic designing, and I’ve been a Pryce for seven years now.” He winked at Rochelle, snapping his finger and his friend sitting next to him began his introduction.
“My name is Rochelle Lee. And I’m almost a sophomore in high school…” She smiled shyly, staring down at the china plate that was set out in front of her. “Um… I’m an honors student, and I’m hopefully, going to be majoring in art like… er, Jeremy.” Rochelle glanced over at Danny who was staring down as well, “Let’s see… Oh, I’m fifteen years old. I’ll be sixteen in a couple months.” Rochelle glanced over at Danny, when he didn’t respond. “Danny.” She placed a hand on his, raising an eyebrow.
“Oh!” His head shot up suddenly, “My name is Danny, I’m sixteen years old, I’m supposed to be a junior after summer's over, but I was held back. I used to live in California and I’ve been a Pryce all my life.” He lowered his head once more, muttering this time, “As if that’s really anything to be proud of.” He grasped Rochelle’s hand tightly, giving her a half-hearted smile.
“Wonderful!” Danny’s father smiled. He didn’t hear the comment Danny made after he had introduced himself. The introduction didn’t make the atmosphere clear up from all the tension; everyone still remained silent as they had their brunch. “Well, what time are you guys going to be leaving for Disney World? Danny, I heard from your mother that you have a concert there?” He leaned in towards the dining table, tilting his head towards the side. The man looked exactly like Danny, only older.
“Yeah.” He placed his utensils onto his empty plate and gave a faint smile. “We’re having it Saturday afternoon, will you be joining?”
His father shook his head, “Unfortunately, no. I have a meeting to attend Saturday morning. I’m not sure how long it’ll be though.”
“Figures, you know?” Danny’s smiled a little bit more, “Anyways, I think I’ll go hang out at the local coffee house.” He pushed the chair back, standing up suddenly. He turned away, walking out of the dining room.
Rochelle glanced over at the rest of the group, giving them a questioning look. “Excuse me.” She smiled at his father, standing up as well, and chased after her boyfriend. “Danny.” She gasped a little, taking in a deep breath, “What’s wrong with you?” He remained silent as they made their way up the stairs instead of going to that coffee bar. “Hey…” Danny continued walking, and then made his way over towards his room.
It wasn’t his room, technically, but it had his belongings in there, and the objects in the room seemed to fit his style enough to call his room. Danny sat down on the bed, and grabbed his girlfriend, letting her sit on his lap. Danny hugged her tightly, kissing her neck gently, “I hate him, but my mother insists on seeing him every summer.” He kissed her lips, “When I was younger, he used to beat me ‘cause he’s bipolar.” Danny held onto Rochelle tightly, “I’m afraid that I’d be like him too. Haha, you know like father like son?”
Rochelle frowned, “No. You are your own person, honey.” She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling his head to her chest. “Hey, I love you for who you are. No one else.” She laughed, kissing his cheek once she pulled him away from her chest. “Now, come on, don’t make me all sad on this vacation. It’s probably going to be my one and only time here with you since my mother made an exception.” Rochelle pinched his cheeks as he laughed quietly, “Now. I want you apologize to your father for being rude in front of people. Even though he hit you when you were little, he still loves you and he’s still your father. It’s… much better than not having one, right?”
“Yeah…” He shrugged, “You’re right. I’m sorry.”
She smiled, tilting her head towards the side while brushing the bangs out of his eyes, “So, be happy and be yourself.” Rochelle stood up, taking his hands and the two of them walked out of the room. “Mm…” She giggled, as Danny suddenly picked her up in a bridal style. “Say, I’m going to be sleeping with you in the same room right?”
He frowned, shaking his head, “My father would be crazy to do something like that. You’re going to be sharing a room, I don’t know why you’re sharing, but you’ll be sleeping with that other girl in the Jeremy’s band.” He knelt down slightly, setting Rochelle down as they made their way back towards the kitchen. Everyone seemed to be chattering and laughing, even the two groups that were quite awkward with each other earlier. Danny raised an eyebrow, seating himself once more.
The room quickly grew silent as they watched the two couple arrive. “Dad, I’m sorry. I was a bit distant and rude.” He bowed his head slightly. He glanced up for a moment, seeing his father with a soft look on his face.
“That’s fine, Son.” He stood up with a grunt, “Now, I’m going to go off and work now, you kids behave yourself and don’t wreak my house.” William smiled, patting his son on the back before walking out of the dining room.
Silence still lingered around for a little bit longer after Danny’s father left the room. Russell cleared his throat, leaning in towards the table and glanced over at Danny. “Oi. Your pops only has one band room that’s has the equipment that doesn’t let the music leak out to the other rooms, so, how are we going to arrange this?”
Danny shrugged, “Well, we could take part of today and tomorrow, ‘cause we have to do that concert on Saturday, and it doesn’t matter with me for the next three days since we don’t have to do much then. As long as it’s fine with my big brother, I’ll be cool with it.” He folded his arms, leaning into the seat, staring at the young adult across him. “Well, brother, what will it be?”
“That will be fine.” Jeremy sighed, pulling the seat away from the table, “I’m going to go read now.” He waved to his friends and walked off. The other six remained sitting, watching their lead singer walk off.
Rubbing her eyes, Rochelle yawned, walking out of the room where all the rest of the Celestial Haven band members were practicing. They had been at it since five in the morning when Mike woke everyone in the house with a startled scream. Nightmares. Rochelle laughed quietly as she closed the door and the music automatically stopped. She blinked a few times, opening the door once more. The music flooded through the house and she closed it quickly, and it stopped.
She laughed, shaking her head and made her way over towards the room that she was living in. She and Johanna stayed up talking for hours. She turned out to be a pretty nice person.
“So, how long have you and your boyfriend been going out?” Johanna sat up from the bed and made her way over towards Rochelle’s, sitting next to her with her legs crossed.
“We’ve had our six monthiversary the other day on the cruise ship.” She smiled faintly, “Look what he got me.” Rochelle grinned, taking out the necklace with the ring looped into the chain, “He told me a cute little story about how it all started with this, and I don’t know if it’s true, but it’s the thought that counts.”
The older girl leaned in, taking the ring gently into the palm of her hands and laughed, “It’s cute. Oh yeah, gotta apologize to you for being so rude to you and your boyfriend.”
It went on for a few more hours after that. The girls talked about from boys to their future to sex to their sexuality. And Johanna for one, was far from straight.
Rochelle shuddered slightly, rubbing her arms, trying to get rid of the goose bumps that were forming on her skin. It was weird, having to live with someone for a couple days that liked people of their same gender. She seated herself down onto one of the leather couches that William had, and closed her eyes, taking in deep breaths.
Talking with Johanna for hours and on top of having her own personal alarm clock at five, Rochelle only had about four hours of sleep. She should be used to it, being a ‘nerd’ and all, but then again, it’s been a while since she opened a textbook since she started to date Danny.
“Hey, where’s your boyfriend?” Rochelle opened her eyes, blinking a couple times, seeing Jeremy sitting on the coffee table in front of her. Rochelle’s brows furrowed, and stood up to get away from the nineteen year old.
“Wait. Wait. Wait.” He quickly grabbed her arms, “Before you do anything rash, I just want to apologize, for being a jerk.” Rochelle gave him a skeptical look and sat back down remaining silent. “I… didn’t know that Danny was my step-brother and I won’t do anything bad to my brother, well, at least after this.” Jeremy leaned in, cupping her chin lightly, tilting her head upwards. He closed his eyes slowly, pressing his lips gently against hers, his lips parting gently.
Rochelle held her breath, her hands grabbing onto the hem of her shirt. She whimpered quietly when she felt the cool air touch her moist lips. She exhaled suddenly, shuddering and fell back in her seat. She stared at him blankly, as the nineteen year old bit his lower lip in smiled, “You liked that didn’t you?” She blushed, turning away from him, remaining silent. “Yeah, well… I’m sorry, and from now on, friends ‘kay?” He held out his hand to her.
“Y…yeah,” Rochelle chuckled hesitantly, taking his hands shyly.
Jeremy smiled as he released her hand and walked off. “See you later.” He winked at her and walked off, his hands slipping into the pocket of his pants. “Hey, Johanna.” Jeremy wrapped his arms around her shoulders, “You know, trying to not think about Rochelle really makes it hard and all…” He sighed, resting his head on hers. “The paaaain…” He dragged out the worth; giving her an estimate on how much he was hurting. The nineteen year old groaned, “I think I’ll go entertain myself, if you will.” Jeremy gave Johanna a quick pat on the shoulders before walking off towards his room, his hands resting behind his head.
“Want some company?”
Jeremy laughed, “I thought a dick isn’t your hobby.”
“It’s not.” Johanna quickly walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around him, “But… I haven’t seen an ex-boyfriend’s dick for a while.” She grinned, pressing her body up against his. “We can make an exception for you…” She whispered to him, kissing his neck.
“You haven’t seen me like that in years, plus the only girl I’m craving for is…”
“Rochelle’s hot sexy bod,” Johanna laughed, pinching her ex-boyfriend’s ear. “Funny kid that you are. Look. I had a long talk with her last night, and there’s no way you’re going to be getting to her any time soon. I mean, dude, she and Danny are very close – I mean, they are really, really close. They haven’t had a single fight and their friends get along perfectly.”
“Don’t you think it’s a bit too perfect, then?” Jeremy placed his hands on his hips, leaning onto one of his feet. “Every couple’s got to have their own fights every now and then.”
“She says otherwise.”
“He must be keeping secrets.”
“Why pin it all on Danny? He is your brother, after all.” Johanna raised an eyebrow, giving him a smirk.
“Doesn’t mean that I gotta like him, yes?”
“True.”
“Now, excuse me. I’ll go…. Think of something.” Jeremy stuck his tongue out, giving her the peace sign before he turned away, making his way over towards his room.
“She’s fifteen!” Johanna called out loudly.
“She’ll grow up too!”
“That boy… he’ll never understand.” The blonde chuckled, turning in the opposite direction and made her way over towards the dazed Rochelle. “Hey, girly. What are you doing here all alone? Aren’t you supposed to be inside cheering on your boyfriend and the other members?”
The fifteen year old turned her head slowly over towards Johanna. “I… the music was kind of giving me a headache.” Rochelle chuckled, shifting herself into a more comfortable position. “You know, Jeremy kissed me earlier. And… and –” Her green eyes widened as she grabbed Johanna’s hands. “I like it. I liked it a lot. It felt good. Jeremy’s lips… oh, his lips are so… heck, it got me all…” Rochelle shuddered, gripping onto the older girl’s hand tighter. “Does this make me a horrible person? Is me wanting to kiss him again, make me a horrible person?” Before she ever gave Johanna a chance to answer, Rochelle moaned out loudly, “Oh my goodness! I… I cheated on Danny!” She hissed quietly towards Johanna’s direction.
The twenty-one year old – yes, twenty-one – blinked a few times as the younger girl spazzed out all on her own. Jeremy, you seem to never stop amazing me. She strained herself from laughing at Rochelle’s childish action. “Look, take a deep breath, and calm down, girl.”
Rochelle frowned at Johanna, but in the end, she sighed, doing as her elder told her to do.
“Now, you didn’t happen to kiss him back did you?” Johanna placed her hand on top of Rochelle’s head. “If you didn’t kiss back, you’re fine. He came onto you – not cheating, it’s okay.”
Rochelle was doubtful for a moment, “I didn’t… I almost, but I didn’t… That’s okay, right? I mean…” Rochelle began to panic once more as her breath quickened and her words stumbled along each other. “What if Danny finds out? No. No. I have to tell him. I have to tell Danny – I can’t keep a secret from him.” She stopped herself before she went on too far, it was already too late, she already kept one from him.
“Don’t be stupid, chickadee.” Johanna leaned against the back of the couch, closing her eyes. “Telling Danny is going to make it, well, you’re going to make your boyfriend so much more protective than he already is.”
“Danny’s not protective.”
“The way I see – he is. If he’s not around, it’s bound to be one of those triplets, aren’t I right? I’m sure Danny’s told one of them to watch over you and… yeah, you get my point?” The twenty-one year old tilted her head towards the side.
“You’d think so? Why though?”
“I know so. I’m almost twenty-two! I’ve had much more experience and many more boyfriends than you’ve had.” The blonde grinned, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose. “As for why, look at you! You’re beautiful and smart, and you have a nice body! I wouldn’t mind to tap that.” She winked at Rochelle as the younger one blushed a little.
Rochelle laughed, scratching the back of her head, “Boyfriends, though? I thought you were a les—”
“I am. I wasn’t always one.” She winked once more, “I’m going to be getting some food now and coffee. Didn’t get enough sleep…” Johanna stood up, and laughed, “You know, your Danny… he’s a cutie. Don’t make stupid mistakes and lose him. Even though he’s really protective, it’s with good intentions. Don’t lose him. That’s coming from the depth of my heart, or as deep as it’ll go since I’ve only met you yesterday.” The blonde giggled and walked away, “Later, chickadee.”
Rochelle laughed, “He is my boyfriend afterall.” She whispered to herself, fidgeting around with her shirt, pulling the stings out. She sat there for a few minutes, thinking about what was she planning to do.
I don’t know… I have to tell him, I can’t keep a secret from him, not another one at least. She laid herself down on the couch closing her eyes as she continued to ponder on the topic. I’ll think about it later…
“Mm…” She parted her lips, feeling someone else’s upon hers. Rochelle slowly opened her eyes, seeing Danny’s face. “Danny!” She gasped, sitting up quickly without thinking much. Their two heads went colliding with each others. “Ow!” She whined, holding onto her head.
“Oh crap. That’s a day’s headache and a week’s bruise.” Danny sat back on the ground “A…ow…” He laughed a little. “Are you okay?” Danny took her hand and lowered it slowly. There was a red mark on her forehead.
He leaned in, kissing the bruise that was yet to appear. She flinched slightly, “It hurts…”
“Yeah?” He whispered, “I’ll make you feel better.” Danny grinned, kissing her lips gently.
Rochelle sighed, giving into his kiss. For a while, that thought about Jeremy and his kiss slipped her mind as the couple embraced each other tightly. “Danny. I love you.” She wrapped her arms around his back, kissing his neck gently.
“How much do you love me?”
Not really sure how to answer the question, Rochelle paused, thinking up of an answer. “More than you can imagine…” She opened her eyes slowly, blinking once and smiled at her boyfriend. “More than you can ever imagine.” She whispered once more, taking his hands, “as long as the blood flows in my veins, I’ll always love you.”
Her boyfriend stared at her for a moment, the corner of his lips twitched slightly.
“Shut up!” She laughed, smacking his shoulders.
“Yeah, yeah,” Danny ended up, cracking up himself and kissed the tip of her nose. “I love you, too.” He caressed her cheek gently.
Panting under the covers of his blanket, Danny pushed himself slowly into her, pulling himself out. “Rochelle…” Danny groaned, thrusting himself faster in and out of her. “I… I love you…”
A moment earlier, she was moaning in ecstasy, but after those three words, she stopped herself, freezing completely under Danny. Say it. Rochelle opened her mouth a little, “I…” She stopped herself, feeling that there was something wrong going on. She knew the word ‘love’ wasn’t suppose to be thrown around easily, but she was with Danny, she’d been with him for six months, it didn’t seem like a long time to those who had gone out for years and years on end, but Danny and Rochelle were just that perfect couple. “I can’t do this.”
She sat up, pushing his away from her. “I’m sorry, Danny. I… I need to tell you something.” She pulled the blanket over her body, covering herself up.
“Oh shit. You’re not pregnant are you?” His blue eyes widened, “Crap. I knew it, we should have use—”
“No!” She rolled her eyes, “I’m on the pill!”
“Then what?”
“It’s not a big deal, but I was sitting outside earlier and I was you know, sitting by myself, trying to go to sleep and whatever, and Jeremy comes up to talk to me. And he’s apologizing and stuff, and he tells me that he was going to try and not like me anymore.” Rochelle stopped herself, giving Danny a chance to understand where she was heading. “Well, he kissed me.”
She shifted a couple times as Danny stared at her slightly confused. “Oh…” Was all he said, “What else happened?”
“I didn’t stop him.”
Her boyfriend nodded a couple times, “Okay.” He sighed, standing up from the bed and slipped on his clothes.
“Danny.”
“No. No.” He turned around, smiling at her, “That’s fine.” Danny went over towards the door, opening it and closing it behind him. He took several deep breaths before he made his way down the stairs, sitting himself down on the couch that he and Rochelle went head to head with each other.
Few minutes later, Rochelle appeared outside. “Danny…” She sat down next to him, “Danny… I’m sorry. I should have stopped him. I know, but I was scared. What was I supposed to do?”
“Stop him.” He turned his head over towards her, speaking up just as easily. “Stop him. Turn your head towards the side. Push him away from you…” He voice grew tense, “How the hell can you not think of anything while you’re some super smart chick at school – you can’t think of something so easy like that!” Danny’s voice slowly reached the top of his lungs though his face remained calm.
“I was scared!”
“Should have known.” Danny scoffed, rolling his eyes, “I should have known better. I told Randy to make sure nothing happens to you –”
“So it’s true!” Rochelle suddenly gained back her confidence, and stopped with her apologizing. “You… you… you used the triplets to be all bodyguard and whatever! You can’t trust me on my own! You have to have someone there to make sure that I’m not getting hit on or cheating on you!” She frowned, “You can’t stand it that other guys like me!” Danny stared at her with a frown upon his face, “You can’t trust me by myself without even thinking once that I’d go to some other guy! You’re scared!”
Danny stood up, towering her. “Oh really? Well, it looks like you did go to some other guy!”
“Don’t… Damn it, Danny! He came onto me. He came onto me!”
The rest of the band members appeared watching in silence as the two bickered back and forth at each other.
“And you know what? He was good.” Her eyes narrowed, “And… and… I didn’t go to him! He made the first move. I was scared, damn it, Danny! Get that into your head! I didn’t know what to do!” Frustrated, Rochelle turned away from Danny, “Oh! And you know what? I bet after we went out – you couldn’t stand it that even your friends and I have gotten closed! You’re jealous!” She glared at him, her eyes watering slightly.
Danny lifted his hand up, but quickly Scott made his way over there, and grabbed it, whispering cautiously. “Don’t.”
“You really are like your father…” Her voice trembled, “Hit me. Hit me. You really think it’s going to make it all better?”
“Rochelle!” Scott shot a glare over at his friend. “Don’t.” He gave her a pleading look, and glanced over at his other friends, not knowing what to do anymore.
She opened her mouth once more, but stopped herself for a moment. She went against her own goodwill though. “You really can’t get past it, huh? Were you scared that all your past girlfriends would cheat on you behind your back? Are you really that insecure?” Rochelle paused, “And… I bet you had one of your friends follow her around all the time too, huh? Were you really that apprehensive even when you were with Lauren?”
Danny’s eyes widened as he listened to Rochelle. “No. I didn’t do that—”
“Then why don’t you trust me?”
“’Cause you kissed Jeremy!”
“For the last time, damn it, Jeremy kissed me! I didn’t kiss him! I wouldn’t even cheat on you! God!” She walked off, stomping her feet loudly on the floor. Mike glanced over at the two boys and followed the angry Rochelle back to her room.
“How does she know about Lauren?” Danny sighed, sitting back down onto the couch. “You’d figure she’s right, though.” He laughed, “I am like my dad. That’s why my mom divorced him.” With a deep sigh, he stood up once more, “I’m going to go to my room.”
“Danny…” Scott folded his arm across his chest as he watched his friend walk off.
“I’ll be okay. This’ll be all over tomorrow. She’s gonna come back to me and say sorry.”
Scott glanced over towards the remaining members of the band.
“I told her not to tell him.” Johanna was leaning against the wall, her hands in her pockets. “I warned her not to say anything. It’d only be more trouble.” The twenty-one year old chuckled, shaking her head, “I said it was only infatuation… didn’t I?” Johanna raised an eyebrow and pushed herself off the wall. “Anyways, those two didn’t look like the best couple.” The blonde walked over towards the shaggy haired boy, resting an arm on his shoulders. “Don’t worry about it though. If the two of them really do care for each other, all will turn out well. Love… is something worth going through pain and obstacles for…”
“Thought you said it was infatuation.”
“Shut up…”
Later during the night, Johanna woke up to the sob of Rochelle’s. She didn’t leave her room ever since that fight she had with her boyfriend in front of everyone else. Rochelle was partially embarrassed that she had an argument with Danny in public and the other reason was that she didn’t want to face her boyfriend during dinner. “Rochelle, stop crying. I’m trying to sleep.” The older girl sat up, rubbing her eyes and reached over, sliding on her glasses.
“I’m sorry…”
“No, you’re not.” Johanna stood up and made her way over towards her. She grasped the crying girl’s face, “Stop it. It’s not going to make anything better. All you’re doing to yourself is making yourself more miserable. If Danny really does love you, then you have nothing to cry about. All relationships have their little fights here and there that can only make the relationship stronger. If you and Danny cannot get through this, then it’s not meant to be.”
Saturday
“Yeah? Come in.”
“Johanna? Have you seen Rochelle today?” Danny’s head poked into the room, “She’s not in here is she?”
“Are you here to apologize?”
“Look, where is she?”
“Not here, if that’s what you want to know. She went to Disney World at like, seven with my band.”
Danny came into the room a bit more, “With Jeremy?” Johanna nodded, “Why… why aren’t you there?” He folded his arms across his chest, trying to act like he didn’t care that she went off without telling him.
“If you wanted me to watch over her, it’s a bit too late to tell me that. But, other than that, I’m not into Walt Disney crap.” She laughed, shrugging. “Look, Rochelle told me that if you were to ask me, well, she’s not ready to talk to you yet. And, she said it still, she doesn’t like Jeremy. She likes you.” Johanna snickered, “Don’t worry. Don’t worry.”
Though he was relieved, Danny tired to conceal it from Johanna. He nodded, “Interesting… I’ll… I’ll see you later then.”
“Hey. You guys are playing today right?”
“Yeah-huh.” Danny blinked a couple times, “Why? You wanna tag along?”
“Just to hear you guys play.” She jumped out of the bed, already fully dressed and followed Danny over towards the driveway where the limousine waited. “Are you guys gonna play your own music? Or did they give you something to play?”
Danny laughed, “It’d be pretty weird hearing ‘it’s a small world’ in rock, huh? No, we’re playing our own songs, but it has to be suitable for younger kids as well. So, we’re throwing some pop stuff.”
“Sounds fun.”
“Nerve wrecking. That’s what it is.” He laughed, shaking his head, “We’re playing at the Cinderella castle. I got a song titled after it too. I think I might play it. Gotta talk to the crew first.”
Screamed and shouts were heard throughout Space Mountain. “Oh my gosh!” Rochelle held onto the handle bars tightly. Her hair which was combed out orderly, were all over the place.
Jeremy laughed, taking her hands and led her out of the area. “First time, right?” Rochelle nodded as her knees knocked together.
“Enjoyed it?”
“Yeah,” She laughed quietly, grabbing his arm tightly.
Rochelle and the band Spontaneous Combustion arrived at Disney World around eight in the morning. It was an hour’s drive from William’s house. Ever since then (well, since the band split up in their own directions.) Rochelle and Jeremy went on all the roller coaster they passed by. They’ve been to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.
“Oh man, this is great.” Jeremy laughed, tilting his head back. “I haven’t been here in years. It’s nice to enjoy it with the girl that I like.” The nineteen year old glanced over at Rochelle. She said nothing though, but only a small smile was on her face. “So…” He sighed, trying to get rid of the awkward silence. “What kind of ride would you like to get on next?”
“Actually, I’m a little bit hungry if you don’t mind.” Rochelle laughed, her hand patted her stomach as she looked around for a nearby food stand. “I didn’t get a big breakfast, ‘cause I didn’t really want to be throwing up all over the place.” The fifteen year old grinned, “Oh! Over there, they’re selling pizza.” She grabbed for Jeremy’s hands but stopped herself remembering that she wasn’t with her boyfriend. “Let’s go!”
“I’d like a pepperoni pizza and lemonade please.” She smiled once the both of them reach the front of the line. She took off her backpack, opening it and dug for her wallet.
“I got it, Rochelle.” Jeremy patted her head as he gave out his order and paid for the food. “Keep the money, maybe you can get yourself a souvenir for yourself or something for Danny-boy.” He smiled faintly.
“Oh, thanks, I guess.” Rochelle blinked a few times, finding the two of them a seat. “Danny and I had a fight yesterday.” She announced the situation to Jeremy after a few minutes of silence.
“I heard.”
“Really?”
“Nick told me.” The nineteen year old raised an eyebrow, tilting his head over towards the side, “I’m not sure whether I should say sorry or not.”
“Rochelle, honey!”
Rochelle turned her head towards the side seeing Scott’s face. He was walking with the twenty-one year old. He grinned making his way over towards the two of them. “How’s it going?”
“Fine.” Rochelle smiled.
“Bring up a chair.” Jeremy leaned behind him, grabbing a single chair for Johanna. Scott had to fetch his own. “When did you guys get here? And Johanna! You and Disney World? I forgot to bring a camera!” The nineteen year old laughed as his ex punched him in the arm.
“When are you performing, Scott?”
“At twelve-thirty. You won’t miss out right?” Scott glanced up seeing a young man bring out Rochelle’s and Jeremy’s order.
Rochelle rolled her eyes, “Of course I won’t!” She took a bite after giving half to Scott, “I wouldn’t miss it for the world...”
“C’mon, I’ll lead you.” He wrapped his arms around Rochelle’s shoulders. “Are you going to apologize to Danny?" Scott fumbled around with his lip ring, watching the tourists wander around, taking pictures of the building and family pictures with Mickey Mouse and the other characters of Walt Disney.
“I don’t know, I—”
“Oh. My. God! It’s Rochelle!” A girl who was walking around by herself, stood in front of Rochelle, her hands in a shocked motion. She screamed out loudly, which startled the two, hugging Rochelle loudly. “I hardly recognized you! You’ve grown up so much!” The girl laughed, “I was looking at you for a moment, but then like, I was like, dude, your eyes looked familiar, and your face looked familiar…”
Still not very sure what was happening, Rochelle laughed nervously, “And you are…”
“Don’t tell me you don’t remember me!” The girl grabbed Rochelle’s shoulders, blinking a few times, “Well, I guess it has been around…” The girl counted numbers on her hand. “Five years… Yvonne!”
Rochelle’s eyes widened, “No way!”
“Uh… yeah!”
Rochelle squealed, grabbing the girl and hugged her tightly. “Oh, goodness! I remembered you moved to Florida… Oh!” She turned towards Scott, wrapping her arms around his, “This is Yvonne. She and I have been childhood friends, like you and your band, until she had to move. Yvonne, this is Scott.”
“Oh, my gosh. Is he your boyfriend?” Yvonne flipped her black hair behind her shoulders, looking up and down at Scott. “Total hottie. Love the lip ring. Rochelle, I’d never imagine you with a guy like this!”
Scott hesitated for a moment, “Ah… thanks and no, Rochelle’s like my baby sister. It’d be like incest if I did anything with her.” He grinned, ruffling up her shaggy hair, “but Rochelle does have a—” Scott stopped himself as he glanced at his short friend.
She smiled wearily as Scott continued on with his sentence slowly. “She does have a boyfriend. He’s a total hunk too.” He tried to lighten up his little ‘sister’s’ mood, but did not prevail much.
Yvonne didn’t seem to catch on to any of the playing around and the secret looks. “Hm… too bad I’m taken.” She placed a hand on her hips, cocking her head towards the side as she continued to check Scott out, “Otherwise I’d totally take you up to my hotel room…” She took a few steps towards him, her fingers gently touching his arm. “Oh wait!” Her dark brown eyes widened, “I’m totally free. Rochelle! You don’t think that you would mind me borrowing this hot stuff, do you?” She wrapped her arm around his free one.
Rochelle chuckled and used sign language. “Yvonne is a very sociable person. She moves quickly and she is not afraid.”
Scott nodded, giving her a skeptical look. “I think you’re…quite…cute too, but I think I’m too old for you.”
“Oh, I doubt it. I’m seventeen years old.”
“Oh well, that’s not too old at all!” The shaggy black haired boy grinned, “I’d love to hang out with you and totally get acquainted but I‘ve got to get ready for a performance.”
“Care to join us, Yvonne?”
“Do I?” She giggled, “What kind of performance?”
“Music.”
“Ooh… that’s so hot.” She leaned in towards Scott, her hands slipping into his, grasping it tightly. The trio quickly or as quickly as possible while Yvonne hung all over Scott, over towards the Cinderella castle, where everyone, but Danny and Mike, was present. “More cute boys!” Yvonne clasped her hands together, grinning. “Oh. I envy you, Rochelle!”
She turned towards her younger friend, hugging her tightly. “Which one is your boyfriend?”
Rochelle, though she didn’t want to by herself, looked around the surroundings seeing many strange faces, but none she knew of.
“Yo! Over here!” Russell shouted loudly, scaring mostly everyone around him as he waved to the two teenaged boys. Danny and Mike made their way over towards the group, grinning. Mike had the Mickey Mouse headband on his head with two black shiny ears sticking out of his hazel brown hair. Danny had on a Minnie Mouse headband. “Where’d you guys go?”
Mike pointed to the headband, grinning. “Duh.” From the corner of his eyes, he saw Scott with a girl wrapped around his arm. “Yo, dude. Who’s the chick?” He grinned, folding his arms across his chest.
“She’s my childhood friend.” She smiled, “She moved to Florida five years ago, and we bumped into each other here. It is a small world after all.” Rochelle laughed, shrugging.
“Yvonne’s the name.” The black-haired girl piped up, winking at Mike.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Danny smiled faintly, raising an eyebrow and took off his Minnie Mouse headband. “Excuse me.” He went over towards Rochelle, taking her away from the rest of the group. “Hey…”
“Hi…” Rochelle looked away from him, her eyes staring down at the ground.
“So much for a conversation, huh?” Danny smiled faintly, “I… I want to apologize. I know that I’ve overreacted with being really protective about you, but it’s with good intentions! I didn’t know that I was making it that bad.”
“I’m sorry too. I was being way too melodramatic about everything. But – I don’t like Jeremy.”
“I know. I’m too hard headed to understand something like that; I’d have to think about it over and over again until I get it through. I was practically up all night thinking about our fight.”
“Did you get coffee or anything?” Rochelle smiled, reaching up and brushed a hair out of his face. “Don’t fall asleep during the concert, it’s a big one.” She smiled, leaning in towards Danny.
“I’m too freaked out to fall asleep.” The blonde smiled crookedly, bending his back slightly, pressing his lips gently upon hers. Before the two of them had the chance to get any further, the group that were watching Danny and Rochelle apologize to each other, awed all in union. Rochelle laughed, pulling away from her boyfriend. “Hey, you’ll be watching me right?” Danny placed the Minnie Mouse headband on her head, kissing her cheek.
“Of course.”
“Great,” He glanced down at his watch, and it read twelve-two. “We should get great for the concert. It won’t be long, it’ll probably be about thirty minutes, give or take, ya know?” Danny kissed Rochelle once more before he signaled his friends to get ready. He waved to her as they walked off.
“So, I’m guessing that’s your boyfriend right there?” Yvonne wrapped an arm around her shoulders, “He’s cute too. He totally looks like your type of a guy.” She grinned, “How far have the two of you gotten?”
Rochelle blushed furiously, looking away from him. “That’s certainly none of your business.”
“Uh-oh.” Yvonne smiled, raising an eyebrow; she leaned into Rochelle’s ears, whispering quietly, “Home base yet?” The younger girl pushed her friend away from her, “Oh my god! You did! Oh goodness, I am good.” She grinned widely, “My little Rochelle’s a big girl now.”
“Shut up.” She mumbled, taking her friend’s hand and led her over towards the forming crowd. There was a stage set out in front of the castle, and a man stood upon there with the characters of Walt Disney, acting out a skit. “Better get a good seat before the crowd grows larger.”
“Tell me about your boyfriend and his band.”
Rochelle smiled, and for the next ten minutes, she gave Yvonne the detail in the band from their name to the type of music that they do. “They’re really good at improvising, it’s like, they’ve got one big brain and without even having to tell each other, they just… play and it’s beautiful.” She praised, her hands hovering over her heart.
“Are they famous?”
“They’ve got a record label.”
“Be sure to be me a CD.”
“Of course. Oh! Oh, they’re on.”
“Today, we have a special guest, just for today. They’re from South Carolina, and here they are. Danny, Scott, Michael, Russell, and Jonathan together form a band called Celestial Haven!” The man that was on the stage made his way off the stage, letting the band take over.
“Uh… Hi there,” Danny smiled and laughed uneasily, “Wow, this is our first time playing in front of such a big crowd, how many is there? Over a hundred? I can just break down and cry right now.” He laughed as he began to warm up a little bit more, “Okay. So, we have about thirty minutes for you guys, and here’s a brief introduction. I’m Danny, lead singer, Scott and Mike are our guitarist, and Jonathan is our pianist, and our wonderful Russell is the drummer.” His blue eyes looked around, looking for the few familiar faces. “So, lets start this off with our opening act…” His held a hand up in the air, numbering off the three, two, one.

Author’s Note
Haha, have I got a surprise for you guys. Anyways, I’m going to give a bit of a description of what most of the guys look like. I was writing, and I’m trying to figure out how to mention them without saying their name or using ‘him’ or ‘he’ all the time. So, I went back and I looked through, and I was like, ‘whoa’ I don’t have any description for most of the guys. They’re easy description of what accessories they have on them and whatnot. So… here it is. Enjoy.
Danny
Standing around five-feet-eleven inches, he has the, of course, dirty blonde hair and the baby blue eyes. He has a slim frame that’s suitable for him to run in track. He has a two small loop earring at the top of his left ear.
Rochelle
Five-feet two, she was once a nerd, still is, but certainly doesn’t look like one. She has the light brown hair with dark strands running along a few places on her hair. Rochelle has the dark green eyes and the pouty lips. She has pale skin and naturally, she doesn’t burn or tan. She has her ears pierced on both sides of her ears.
Scott
He and his infamous shaggy black hair and dark eyes plays the bass guitar. Scott is somewhere around six feet five inches. He has a lip ring on his bottom lip, a tongue ring – his nose is pierced and his eyebrows and ears. A lot of piercing, but that’s the type that he is. He’s quite pale as well.
Mike
He has a strawberry blonde hair. He’s the shortest in the band, standing five feet six inches, though still relatively tall compared to Rochelle. Mike is the normal looking one in the band with no piercing.
Russell
He’s by far, the one that stands out most in the groups of guys and one girl – aside from Scott and his piercing. He has the blue hair and blue eyes that matches perfectly, he even has the eyebrows to match the color. Russell is around five feet ten inches, right in between Randy and Robert.
Jonathan
He’s fifteen years old, the youngest one in the group. He has the red hair. He’s fairly pale, but not as white as Rochelle or Scott. He has an earring on his right ear. He stands at six feet with a really slim frame.
Randy and Robert
The youngest and the oldest. Randy looked more like Russell than Robert looking more like his brother, but instead, Randy had the light brown hair and a darker shade of blue in his eyes. He’s slightly taller than Russell. Robert is the football player, so he has more of a muscular built in his body, but not overweight, but he wasn’t slim like the other guys in his group. He too has brown hair and blue eyes.
