Lia's Card
Six weeks later I awoke on a sunny Sunday morning to find a card had been slipped under my front door. I recognized the handwriting. It was hers. I opened the card.
*To my (I hope) Godfather on Father's Day* the card read. The (I hope) was a handwritten addition. Inside was a handwritten note. *Mommy thought this would be a cute way to let you know that she and Daddy are expecting my arrival in about eight months (Only I know the exact date!) and to ask you to please be my Godfather. Please. Please. Please. Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting you in a few months. Love, Your (I hope) Godchild*
"'Hmmm," I thought, "It's Father's Day. I need to call my step-Dad." My mind still hadn't processed the note inside the card and it's import. When it did, I suddenly found myself sitting on my ass in the middle of the floor with tears in my eyes.

This is it, the last chapter of DL's Tale. It's been a challenge being a female and writing from a male point of view. Hope I've done okay.
Stardreamer is still plodding away, very slowly, on Mate's POV. And "Lia Speaks" is progressing nicely.
I'm also finished with my comedic romance, "Storm Within." Hope to be posting it in the next few weeks---as my job as TaxiMom permits.
