Dragon Healer

we arrived later at the cave, and core set me down while bane put away the clothes and the leftover food. I wrote a note to Jess, explaining everything, but I hid it in the jerky jar and left to get more things together. (Ruby was immune to my jerky) I set out some healing supplies, and started packing the tree's tome into a bag when bane came up to me, looking displeased. "Where are the tents?" I stopped in mid-motion and looked up at him, suprized. "what tents? if you haven't noticed, I live in a cave. I don't need no stinkin' tents. I can sleep in the trees." he hunched his back in displeasure, squinting his eyes. Core walked in, shirt slung over his shoulder. I blushed a bit but recovered quickly as he shook his head at bane. "you panzy. I bet you've never slept in a cave before staying here." a wicked grin spread cross his face as bane's face turned colors. he opened his mouth and shut it, then turned around back to pack more of his things. I scratched my head. "huh." core looked pleasantly over at me. "who would have thought?" he walked close by me and looped his arms around my waist as I placed my hands on his back. I gave him a hug and stayed close to his chest. I guess it felt strange because he was cold, but it wasn't that bad. he smiled, i didn't even have to look up to tell, I just knew he was smileing. he kissed me gently on the neck and whispered in my ear. "shall we put the children to sleep? or shall we simply go elsewhere?" "uhhhh..." I pulled away and looked at him, puzzled."shh!" he said slowly, pulling me closer. "wait.. we need to leave soon don't we? I mean if we are going, it'll take us a few nights of travel and we'll need our energy."
