Chapter 8; Taking Advantage
Nico had been sitting on my porch in the rain for quite a while. Thorne had told me when he’d arrived two hours ago, but I wasn’t about to let him in until I was finished laying out my new plan.
Andi was already locked up in the tentacle chamber, sound asleep and completely unaware, and I was busily scribbling my plans in my Diary and setting up the playing field…basically, fastening some new restraints into my walls and examining the new toys I’d sent Thorne to buy for me. Thorne, after erasing everyone’s memories of Andi, had even helped me redecorate, turning my walls black and giving me lots of candles for some reason. He seemed to have a thing for candles.
“So you’re saying,” I said to Thorne, “That you’re spell didn’t work properly on Andi?”
“No, no.” Thorne shook his head as he turned off the lights and started lighting candles with the tips of his fingers, “I’m saying that the only way to overcome my spell is if there’s romantic emotion involved. Therefore…” he waggled his eyebrows at me.
“Therefore,” I finished for him as I understood, “Andi must have feelings for Nico after all.” I frowned, “He’s not very good at hiding things though. Why didn’t I notice?”
“He probably didn’t realize it himself,” Thorne offered, “That or he has a severe case of denial.”
I glanced at my watch. It was about time I let the redhead back in, I decided. It would be bothersome if he got sick.
Most of the lights in the house were off as I went downstairs and let my hand drift to the doorknob. I could hear Nico sniffling from there, and I could make out his huddled form through the door’s decorative glass window.
Finally I pulled open the door, looking down at the boy. He didn’t jump, but merely looked up at me slowly from the fetal position he’d been sitting in, shaking from the cold and soaking wet from head to barefooted toe as the rain continued to pour down on him. He looked pathetic and utterly miserable, his flushed face held as proof that he’d been crying.
My expression was cold and I heard him choke back a sob as he tried to hold my gaze with those watery eyes of his. It looked like he wanted to apologize, but he wasn’t sure what for. His lips trembled as he tried to think of something to say.
“Came crawling back, did you?” I sneered, unmoving.
“No one…” he whispered, gripping his knees closer to his chest as he fought to keep my gaze, “No one kn-knew me… no one…”
“I told you they wouldn’t.” I said flatly, “I told you to stay, and still you ran. I was hoping you wouldn’t disappoint me, Nico.”
He gazed out into the rain, blinking as drops of water fell on his eyelashes.
“You did it on purpose…didn’t you?” he said as he realized it, eyelids drooping in dismay as he sobbed again, “You knew I’d try to escape…”
“And now you have nowhere left to go.” I continued quietly. “I should just abandon you out here in the rain, maybe then you’d understand just how disappointed I am with you. Maybe I’ll abandon you and never let your family and friends remember that you exist.”
“N-No…don’t…” Nico sobbed.
“No?” I asked, crossing my arms, “Why not? I told you that if you were good I’d let you go in the end and everything would be just fine…I told you that if you behaved that Andi would be spared, but you’ve gone against me Nico.”
“Oh God, Andi…!”
“Or did you not think I’d actually do it?”
Nico wrapped his arms around himself and sobbed even more as I stood in the doorway and watched, glaring down at him with uncaring eyes.
“You brought this on yourself.” I said quietly, “Give me one good reason to let you back in.”
Nico dragged his hands through his hair and looked up at me frantically.
“I sw-swear, I’ll n-never run away, n-not ever again, I-I swear…”
“You also promised to obey me before, and look what you went and did.” I debated harshly, “How do I know you won’t betray me again?”
“I’ll d-do whatever you say…Please…Please take me back…?”
“Are you begging?” I asked, looking down on him.
“Yes!” he sobbed, “Yes I’m b-begging, so please…p-please…don’t l-leave m-me like this…?” Nico crawled out of the fetal position and gripped the hem of my jeans, back hunched and head bowed, “P-Please…”
I considered briefly. I could refuse and leave him out here for the night, but that might be boring. So instead and crouched down and looked him in the eye.
“Alright, I’ll forgive you and give you this last chance Nico.” I saw his eyes light up hopefully as I said this, “One chance,” I lifted my index finger, “Screw up again and you know your fate.”
He nodded fiercely, and I helped him up and let him come inside. I brought him up to my room, not caring that he was dripping water everywhere, and as we went through the door he looked around in amazement at the change of décor.
“Take off your clothes; I’ll go get you a towel.” I said plainly, leaving the room and bumping into Thorne on the way to the bathroom closet.
“So you finally let him back in, eh?” Thorne grinned as he followed me to the closet, “I take it we’re not playing with the new toy tonight?”
I looked up with an armful of towels to see that Thorne was decidedly put out.
“Nico doesn’t know we have Andi yet, which means there’s still fun to be had with the little guy before we move on to the next one.” I said plainly, making my way to my room, “I’ll call you when I need you, right now I’m trying something different.”
Thorne didn’t inquire further; he merely drifted down the stairs to explore the house as I went back into my room. Nico was standing stark naked in the center of the room, shivering, soaked clothes at his feet and hair dripping to the floor. I chuckled and shook my head as I closed the door behind me and went over to him.
“You could have sat on the bed, I wouldn’t have gotten mad.” I said simply, placing the towels on my bed and grabbing a large one, wrapping it around Nico’s shoulders and leading him back to the mattress, “Sit down, I’ll dry your hair.”
Nico obeyed and I took another towel and rubbed it through his orange locks from behind him. To my surprise he leaned back into me slightly, as if taking comfort from my actions. I smiled. This was a new development.
When his hair was no longer dripping I started wiping the wetness from his neck and collar, and again Nico didn’t protest.
“Are you tired?” I asked gently, rubbing his shoulders with the towel.
“A bit…” he muttered in a small voice, “My legs and feet are sore…”
I merely smiled and continued to dry him, confident that I was getting him very confused. The infamous hurt and comfort approach. Never fails on the weak-spirited. I’d been unbelievably cold towards him, and now I openly comforting him. Knowing Nico, he probably wasn’t sure what to make of me.
“Edric?” He asked suddenly, “You don’t hate me, right?”
The question caught me a little off guard. I’d thought we’d already discussed that matter.
“No, I don’t hate you.” I replied.
“Okay. I don’t hate you either.” He said simply.
I gave him a strange look from behind him, frowning, but I didn’t say anything. I tossed the now wet towel to the floor and started using the towel that was wrapped around him to dry him off. I pulled it off his shoulders and rubbed the sides against his arms. He shivered.
“Are you cold?” I asked, pressing a hand down over his chest.
“…yes.” He replied quietly.
“Turn around.”
He obeyed and turned to face me, letting the towel slip to his waist and anxiously meeting my eyes. I took his face in my hands and I saw him shiver again as he closed his eyes, leaning into my warm hands.
I took his shoulders gently and lay him down on the bed, leaning over him with a tender smile on my face. He peered up at me and blinked nervously.
“I’m going to warm you right up, Nico.” I promised as I stroked his face and leaned down to kiss him. He tensed only briefly, then surrendered with a whimper. He knew better than to resist.
I pulled away and smirked down at him, enjoying the uncertain look in his eye. I wasn’t going to use my toys on him tonight. I wasn’t even going to fuck him, as cute as he was. No, I was working on a different part of my plan right now, and this was the phase where I won Nico over with tenderness.
As I lay beside him I dipped my hand down, sliding my fingers down his soft throat, over his bare chest and lower…tracing circles just above Nico’s manhood that remained hidden by the towel. Nico’s breathing hitched and he propped himself up on his shoulders abruptly, looking from my face that was inches from his down to his crotch and my wandering hand. I smiled knowingly, sliding my hand over Nico’s slowly hardening cock. He jumped at the sudden contact, still not used to being touched in such personal places.
I tightened my grip between Nico’s legs and started pumping slowly, up and down, the towel separating my hand and his member as I moved. The friction must have felt nice, because Nico’s face was flushing and his thin eyebrows were strained together in confusion and embarrassment. With my free hand I brushed the redhead’s hair back, and he closed his eyes and leaned back with my touch, whimpering at the sensations rippling through his fragile body.
“Nico, you really are a pervert aren’t you?” I teased with a smile as I stroked his shaft a bit faster and he drew his knees up a bit, “Are you thinking of Andi while I do this?”
Nico squeezed his eyes shut and bit his bottom lip, a quiet muffled whine escaping from his lips. I took that as a “yes”. I debated whether or not to use some of my milder toys on him to prolong this, but I restrained myself. If I was going to do this, I had to do it right. I was testing a theory, after all.
I continued pumping him until he was teetering on the brink, lost in sensation, and I allowed him to climax. He cried out briefly, more of a loud whimper if anything, the slumped back onto the mattress. I wiped him clean with the towel as he lay there and panted, gazing up at me, delirious.
“You see?” I said sweetly, stroking his face with my fingers, “When you behave it feels nice, doesn’t it?”
He didn’t say anything, but I saw the uncertainty dancing in his eyes. I glanced over to the doorway and caught Thorne peeking in. I nodded to him and looked back down at my prey.
“Since you’ve been such a good boy Nico,” I told him pleasantly, “I’ll let you rest for now.”
I raised my hand and snapped my fingers, and Nico’s eyes instantly fell shut and his breathing slowed and steadied. I grinned and got off the bed, gesturing for Thorne to enter. He ambled in, giving me a rather disappointed look.
“That was very boring.” He stated honestly, crossing his arms, “No toys, no suffering…I mean he’s a cute specimen, but why stop at a hand job?” he gestured to me, “You didn’t even have him service you first!”
“Ah but see,” I told him as I took Nico in my arms and brought the sleeping boy to the closet door, “It’s all part of my experiment.”
“What’s your experiment then?” He asked, unable to hide his curiosity, “Are trying to make him fall for you?”
“Not exactly.” I replied, opening the door and allowing the shadowy tentacles to wrap themselves around my captive and pull him into the darkness.
“Then what?” Thorne insisted, but I merely closed the closet door and started heading out of the room.
“I want a drink.” I said distractedly, then I turned back to him with a smirk, “Come down to the kitchen with me and I’ll explain.”
