++++++++++++++++

"You were all killed the same way, as it was foretold." Thomas had stopped in front of a large double doorway that was the same size as the entrance door at the end of one of the hallways. "A death spell to the back of the head. You didn't know what was coming. You were all caught by surprise when you were alone." Thomas knocked on the double doorway after he finished telling us how we died. Once the echo of the knocked died down from the hallway, the doors swung open and we could see a very large bedroom.

The bed was against the left wall; it was much larger than a king sized bed and had a black silk canopy that reached the ceiling. At the end of it there was a pad-locked chest and on each side there were tables with lamps sitting on them. On the opposite wall there was a wardrobe the same length as the bed. The floor was carpeted a dark blue (not quite midnight blue) and went to the back wall where a large table was in the left corner and in the right corner there was a large desk and chair in which Darren was sitting in.

When the doors crashed into the walls, Darren turned to look to the intruders and jumped up with surprise when he saw us. He looked exhausted, like he hadn't slept or eaten anything in days. His short black wavy hair was a mess and he had bags under his eyes. "Thomas, why didn't you tell me that they were here?" Darren stared at me as he said this to Thomas, "I could have freshened up." he walked across the room and stopped a few feet away from us. "Is Brian with you?" he said when Thomas exited the room and closed the doors behind him.

"No, he doesn't know anything about us coming here." I said as the memories of us together came back again. My eyes started to tear up as I felt the guilt of thinking that Darren had killed me swelled in my heart.

"What's wrong Jennifer? What happened?" Darren put his hand on his heart and wrinkled his eyebrows in worry.

I ran the few feet to Darren and flung my arms around him. "I'm sorry, Darren, I'm sorry. I know you didn't do it. I thought you did, but I was wrong. I remember now." I sobbed as the tears found their way down my cheeks.

"It's ok Jennifer; I forgave you a long time ago." Darren said as he locked his arms around my waist and embraced me. "I'm just happy you believe me. I'm so glad you believe me." Darren pulled me away from him and wiped my tears from my face. "It killed me to know you didn't trust me those long years ago, and it killed me to see you still did not trust me those few days ago. I have not eaten or slept in days for fear that I would never be able to prove myself to you again."

Darren walked to his doors and swung them open again. Thomas stood waiting in front of them. "Prepare rooms for them. I'm sure Renea and Jordan will want a room together, give them the room they used to stay in. Jennifer will have the room next to mine. That one, there." He said to Thomas and pointed to the room I was to sleep in. "And while you're at it, get some clothes for them, too. That way they don't stand out too much here."

"Yes, my Lord." Thomas said and bowed.

"If you want, I will take you to your castle tomorrow." Darren said as he turned back around to face me again. "I can show you to it, but I can't go inside. Your banishment still holds you know."

"Why is it that you still can't go into the castle, but you can be around me? Didn’t I banish you from both?" I asked as I remembered the banishment.

"Banishment only holds to physical things. When you banished me from yourself, it only meant that I was banished from your body, not your soul. Since you were reincarnated, you have a different body, though you have the same soul." Darren explained.
