chapter eight
Hello people! Here it is chapter eight! Okay I know a lot of you are very angry with me for what happened in the last chapter. (You know the whole killing Khristian jazz) But…hey it had to happen. Right? You know what they say, shit happens… (Okay maybe that doesn’t work in this situation) I’m sorry people, but Khris had to go, he’s dead now… so…. Yeah. I know some of u don’t want to accept that Khristian is dead, which is fine, hey more power to you! But so yeah, here’s chapter eight.
Note: A lot of secrets are revealed in this chapter, some of you might saw ‘em coming others might be surprised… so we’ll see where it goes.

Chapter eight
“Then what I ask going to do? Someone’s bound to find out Khris is dead!” The younger vampire screamed, tears trailing down his pale cheeks. “Oh god… I killed him- this is all my fault and there’s nothing I can do about it.”
Mirage rolled his eyes and slapped the blond hard across the face.
“W-what in hell’s name was that for?” Louis asked placing his hand over the spot the older vampire had hit him.
“You’re acting like a child.” Mirage said as he walked over to the fireplace. “I told you I’d protect you, damn it Louie will you stop doubting me!?”
“I don’t doubt you I just-”
“What? Not believe me? Do you think I’m incapable of protecting the ones I love?” He asked, his brown eyes burning into his. “You know how much you mean to me, I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
“That still doesn’t give you any reason to hit me.” Louis said whipping his eyes.
“You’re being ridiculous Louis, you say you want to be with me and yet- you don’t trust me. How can you love someone but not trust them?”
“I never said that I didn’t trust you.”
Mirage looked down into the flames. “You never said you did either. Louie, I want you to be honest with me. That’s not asking much is it? Just be honest with me.”
“I’m leaving.” Louis said as he turned towards the door.
“Where are you going?”
“Well you’re making it obvious that I’m ruining your life.”
“You are not.” Mirage said as he grabbed the blonde’s arm.
“Stop!”
“No you stop.” The red haired vampire said holding Louis up against the door. “I’m sorry if I male you feel that way love, I want you and only you. If I didn’t, would I have hid you from Khristian? Would I be trying to keep you safe now?”
“Just let me go.” Louis said calmly as he broke from Mirage’s grip.
“Do you understand that if you go out there you will die? They will find you and they will kill you Louie, why? Because you have committed a serious crime.”
“Why?” Louis said softly as he looked into the older vampire’s eyes. “Why are you risking everything for me?”
“Because I love you and I can get away with killing a vampire. It is my job to eliminate those who are a danger to us.”
“So you’re going to take he blame for Khristian’s death?”
“It was my dagger that killed him.” Mirage answered as he wrapped his arms around the younger vampire’s waist. “Don’t worry, everything will be alright… I promise.”
The blond rested his head on the older vampire’s shoulder. “What are we going to do now?” He asked softly.
“We’re going to have to disappear for awhile, just until things settle down.”
“Okay…”

A few days had past, Louis was standing by the front door when Aribella came out of her room and grabbed Louis by the sleeve. “We need to talk… now!” She said as she pulled him into her room and shut the door. “What the hell’s wrong with you? Why are you making Mirage do all this crap to save you?
“I’m not making him do anything.”
“Oh sure, he’s doing all this by choice?”
“As a matter of fact he is.” Louis said looking at the blond haired woman.
“If something happens to my brother I swear Louis, damn it I swear, I will never forgive you.” Aribella said her eyes dark and full of hate.
“I-”
“You have caused Mirage so much pain because of the stupid things he’s been trying to do to keep you safe. Honestly I don’t care how much he claims to love you, in my opinion you’re not worth it.” She said angrily. “You’re just like Khristian; all you want to do is hurt him.”
“I’m nothing like him!” Louis screamed as he fell on his knees, his hands covering his ears. “I’m not I’m not I’m not!!” Tear sprang to his eyes instantly.
“Aribella what the fuck are you doing?!” Mirage asked as he walked into the room and placed a comforting hand on the young vampire’s shoulder.
“I was warning him.” She said crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at Louie who was shaking.
“Well don’t.” Mirage said as he knelt down and wrapped his arms around Louis’ shoulders.
“But mirage, this- fledgling is ruining your life and you know it.”
“Don’t you dare say such things in my presence, do you understand me?” Mirage asked standing up. “I’m protecting him because I want to and because I love him, don’t ever tell me again that he’s ruining my life.”
“But-”
“Don’t” The red haired vampire said helping Louis to his feet. “You have no idea what he’s be through.”
“He’s going to end up hurting you… just like Khristian did.” Aribella said as she shot Louis a dirty look.
The younger vampire looked into Mirage’s eyes, and then ran off crying.
“Sheesh, what’s his problem?” the woman asked looking at her brother.
“Damn it Aribella, you don’t know when to shut up do you?”
What? What did I do?”
“I didn’t tell him Khristian and I were a thing for a reason.”
“Oh, well there’s a lie.” She said with a smile. Mirage shot a glare at her before running after Louis.
The blond was sitting up in a tree, his knees up to his chest as he cried in his arms. “You lied to me…God damn it how could you lie to me?!” The blond whispered as he heard the dark haired vampire approach him.
“I’m sorry Louie; I just didn’t want you up set with me.” He said as he looked up at the blond.
“Get upset? I’m not upset… I’m furious, you swore to me Mirage. You swore to me nothing happened between you and Khristian.”
“Will you please come down from there?”
“No.”
“Please?” The red haired vampire asked again.
“I don’t understand, why did you lie to me? You tell me you want me to be honest with you. Why should I if you’re not honest with me?” Louis asked whipping his eyes,
“It was a mistake and I’m sorry. Please Louie, please forgive me.”
The blond looked down at Mirage and slowly came down from the tree. “I love you Mirage, I really do. Stop keeping things from me.” He said as he wrapped his arms around the older vampire’s neck and kissed him hard on the lips.
“I promise, no more secrets.” Mirage said as he kissed away the young vampire’s tears. “Now, let’s get out of here.”
“Where exactly are we going?”
“I’m taking you back home.”
“Really?”
“Yeah… Really.”
