Chapter Eight
After Jon had brought me back to my room, Dr. Weis showed up. I wished he hadn\'t, but he did. It didn\'t go so well though. I refused to talk, and he continued to pressure.
He finally became frustrated enough to leave. But before he went, I was able to get some paper and a pen from him. But only with a promise that I would give the pen to Jon when he came in tonight. I would\'nt tell Dr. Weis why I wanted the pen and paper. I have my reasons.
I have no idea what time it is. I wish I knew. I had lunch about three or four hours ago. I still have to eat alone. They\'re afraid I might hurt the other crazies, or make them lapse.
I\'m gonna see if Jon will get me a notebook of paper. I wanna write a few letters to my girls. The ones that got away. I also would like to try and keep a journal of sorts. Hmm... I wonder what time it is?
I wrote a letter to Lynnette, and had just started one to Laurynn when Jon showed up. I had to give him the pen first thing, and then we talked. I began telling him about Laurynn.
\"She\'s a very pretty girl. She\'s got long red hair, bright blue eyes, and beautiful fair skin.\" I told him.
\"And this is who?\" he asked
\"Laurynn Carter.\" I answered.
\"Wait, I thought it was Lynnette Carter, and she was a brunette, with brown eyes?\" Jon said.
\"Laurynn is Lynette\'s sister-inlaw. She\'s married to Lane, who is Lynne\'s older brother.\" I explained.
\"Oh, okay. I got it now.\" he says.
I nod, and remain silent for a moment, thinking my words over carefully. Jon is quietly waiting for me to continue, while gingerly touching the bruise around his eye.
\"Was your woman mad about your eye?\" I ask.
He shook his head, and pulled his hand away. \"Don\'t have one. If I did I would hope that she\'s understand about these kinds of things.\" he answered.
I nodded. \"Yeah, it\'s nice when women can be understanding.\" I say.
\"Yes it is. But when you do find one that is that way, they are very few, and far between.\" He says.
I chuckle. \"Yes they are. But I knew some women like that. All beautiful, and wonderful. I really miss them.\" I say.
\"I think I would miss women like that, seeing as how I\'ve never know a woman like that.\" Jon answers.
\"I knew four like that.\"
I snapped from my thoughts and looked at Jon, who was toying with his eye again.
\"Well, are you ready to hear about Laurynn?\" I ask.
He looks curiously at me, and nods. I must have said something that intrigued him.
\"Sure.\" Jon says.
I smile. \"Okay. Like I said earlier, red hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. But she is VERY naive, and gullible. Not REALLY gullible, but just enough to make you smile, and get a bit of a chuckle. Miranda definately enjoyed Laurynn\'s stupidity at somethings. Lynnette enjoyed it, said it was good entertainment. But it was no matter to Laurynn. Those three girls were inseperable...\" I say, my eyes gaining a far off look.
My mind flashes to when I first met Laurynn and Miranda. I was at Sporty\'s when they\'d shown up. Unfortunately not alone. Boyfriends, and a husband came trailing behind.

\'Hey Tom! How ya doin\' today?\' Lynne asked coming to speak with me.
\'I am doing wonderful now, Mi\'lady.\' I answer, standing as she approches.
She giggles, and chills run up my spine.
\'You\'re such a gentleman!\' she said, with her ever present smile, motioning for me to sit back down.
Two other girls, and three guys walk up. Looking me over, then looking to Lynne.
\'Hi.\' I say politely, rising to my feet once again.
They each nod, and say hi or hello in return.
\'These are my friends, Miranda, and Nick. My sister- inlaw Laurynn, my brother Lane. And, my boyfriend, Randy.\' she said, introducing them all.
I smile yet again, \'Nice to meet all of you. My name is Tomas Grant.\' I say.
\'Babe, we\'re gonna go get some drinks. Want anything?\' Randy asks.
\'Um... just water. PLease don\'t drink too much. Same for you Nickolas, and please don\'t try to push your bad influences onto my brother.\' Lynne says.
\'Don\'t worry, I won\'t. And there will be no influencing of any kind.\' Randy replies.
They share a quick kiss, and the guys disappear to get drinks.
\'I really wish he\'d stop drinking.\' Lynne mumbled softly as she watched him walk away.
\'That\'s what my wife used to say. And when I finally did, she died.\' I say.
The girls look at me, not sure how to respond to that.
\'It\'s all right ladies, she\'s been gone almost ten years now. Please sit...\'

\"Tom, you all right man?\" Jon asks, pulling me from my memory.
\"Yeah, just tired.\" I answer looking at him.
He nods, \"How about you get some rest, and we\'ll talk more later.\" He suggests.
I merely nod, staring off into space. Jon exits the room, the lock clicking loudly as the door shuts heavily.
\"My girls... I\'ll get them... My girls.\"
