Sixth Chapter- Stake Out
Ugh..if it weren\'t for Fire, Angel would be somewhere exotic right now sipping back on piña coladas. Oh well, it was still money and that was all that mattered. The only problem would be the fact that she was doing business with her greatest enemy. There was no way to prevent it, though; because she didn\'t know how to kill her and she paid pretty good money.
Plus, Angel couldn\'t find ANYONE that Fire loved. She didn\'t even think she loved her best friend, Raven. She just froze herself off from everyone else and was a complete bitch. Angel may never get her revenge at the rate that Fire was going.
Okay, she was supposed to be looking for a brown house. The house was supposedly under the name Alex Langlan so hopefully it was the right one. When she found it she dialed the number for one of her men.
\"Mark, I need you to obtain surveillance of Alex Langlan. Call me when the satellite picture is in.\" With that Angel hung up the phone and walked past the house so she wouldn\'t seem strange.
She might as well tour around this pathetic little town because she was going to be here for a while. Walking up and down the streets of the desolate little place, Angel decided it wasn\'t worth her time to even look at the shops. She wasn\'t looking for knick knacks or ten-dollar-off shoes, so she decided to go back to the cabin she had reserved.
The minute she reached the cabin her cell phone rang. She picked it up and said, \"Send the transmission to my receiver, Mark.\" A minute later there were several views of a tall man with brown hair and Angel said, \"Perfect.\"
He\'d waited outside of her house all night and no one came. He\'d thought Rider was kidding about her staying out late, but apparently he wasn\'t. Admitting defeat, Freeze had decided to return to the apartment/studio he was renting.
When he\'d gotten home he was surprised to see her standing outside his apartment building by a motorcycle. Fire was leaning against it casually showing no emo on on her face.
\"What were you doing at my house?\" Well, that was a great opener for a conversation.
\"I don\'t know,\" Freeze answered truthfully to her.
\"Bull shit you don\'t know! I come home to see a black Viper outside my house, so I begin to wonder, who could be waiting for me? Then I find the license number and where the person\'s living. Guess what? I found you.\" She didn\'t seem too amused with this fact though.
\"Look, I\'m tired, and I need sleep, so I\'m going up to bed now.\" There was no way he was going to let her win this one. He was walking up to the door when al the the sudden she was in front of him.
\"I don\'t need a stalker, got it? Just stay out of my business and I\'ll stay out of yours.\" Then she was hopping on her Harley and racing off before he could reply to that.
He didn\'t want her to stay out of his life. He very much wanted her all over his life, but apparently it didn\'t matter what he wanted. Great, another night alone, Freeze thought.
He meets one girl and in less than 24 hours his whole life is thrown off balance. He needed to find something better to do and fast before he was dragged way way way down. Freeze was not letting Fire take over his mind! Yeah right, he thought, that definitely wasn\'t going to happen.
Was he fucking crazy?!?! What was the deal? Why did he want to follow her? Fire had tried her damndest to keep him away so far, and nothing was going to change that, even him watching her house. She didn\'t care if he attracted every girl in sight; he just wasn\'t going to attract her.
Freeze was an idiot and there were so many ways to prove it. Fire walked into her room that was mostly dark red, black, and white and flopped down on her bed. Why did life have to be so god-damned complicated?
She\'d had her share of people wanting her, and for the life of her she couldn\'t figure out why. She was a bitch, and she knew it, in fact Fire even liked being a bitch. Who gave a fuck what people thought about her anyways? She wasn\'t about to become sweet and caring because someone thought she was evil and bitchy.
It was time to stop thinking about the trivial things, she thought. So she went into her huge bathroom and started the shower. She was going to have a steaming hot shower and then get her usual sleep of about 3-4 hours. It had been a great night.
Fire had ended up at an after hours club called Blood Lust and partying for hours. There had been no one annoying there so she had just let go. Granted, she didn\'t like many other clubs than Ice Fire, but when she needed to just let it all out she would find one. Blood Lust had been great because it was dark and she wouldn\'t have to look at anyone.
Once the shower heat had been to her liking Fire stripped and stepped into the hot stream of water. It stung a few of her cuts from the fights she\'d been in recently, but she didn\'t really care much. After this she was going to sleep and then she was going to get up and find out if Angel had made any moves yet.
Fire was going to be ready for anything Alex had to offer because if she wasn\'t she\'d most likely die. It\'s time to find out who your allies are, Fire, she thought stepping out of the shower and drying herself off.
She turned her fan on hi and crawled under her black and red sheets in nothing at all. It was time to go back to the thoughts she didn\'t want to think. It was time to sleep.
