The Chronicles of Andrainea: Darkness Falls

I watched as the other doctors scramble around me while I continued to watch X and made sure she was soundly asleep upon her tiny haven. Grinning wickedly I slowly turned around to face all the doctors in the room.

“Get Gregs, Lewis, and Mannings. I want them to help in the retrieval of X.”

“Yes, sir!” I heard one doctor exclaim as he quickly went to the com to call the men I wanted.

I slowly made my way out of the observation area and into the hallway. Where many nurses and guards were standing around with frightened looks upon their faces. I sighed softly to myself and put my hands behind my back.

“Project X has been subdued. You may relax now.”

I saw many people relax and almost faint from relief. I almost laughed out loud at their fear and they should fear X. She was my most beloved pet and the best example of genetic alteration in the world. She was, after all, the product of a genius, a mastermind! I looked at my watch and knew the guards would arrive shortly.

I could now see the guards I asked for come running down the hallway. Such swift service! I liked it when my men came to me at such a quick pace. I nodded my approval when they got in front me.

“Good. Now let us go and retrieve X. She will most likely regain consciousness soon and I want her in binders before that happens.” I said gravely as I watched each man salute me and began following me to the environment that housed X.

I began quickening my pace as we went down several hallways and through several security doors. I approximated we had less than five minutes to put binders on X. Which, I didn’t tell Gregs that and done decided he would go into the environment to personal bind and retrieve X. She was not going to come easily and I knew blood was going to be spilled. I could almost smell the delicious metallic tang of it and felt a tingle run up my spine at the thought. Yes, I loved blood and many around me knew that.

Soon we arrived in front of the door that held X and motioned for Gregs to get the platform ready and to open the door. I could hear the clicking and grinding of gears as a platform began pushing outwards in the environment. Said platform would give his guard the ability of getting close to X without having to get in the water or get a small craft to paddle out to her.

Finally, the door opened and I watched on pleasantly as Gregs headed cautiously into the environment. It pissed me off that he did not move faster. Now there was less than a minute to go and if he did not hurry… well, X would have fun strewing his innards all over the place.

“Hurry the fuck up Gregs! Project X will awaken soon. You idiot!” I barked as I watched him stumble slightly, but quickly regain his footing and began walking much more quickly over to X.

The lumbering idiot finally got close to X, when she all of a sudden she began screaming and awoke with a jolt. I silently cursed and watched on passively at what she would do.

She looked over at me with dark, raging eyes and grinned in maniacal way. I could see instantly things were going from bad to worse and I felt no pity for the man who was about to lose his life. However, what I was not prepared for was the words she uttered out loud.

“My name is… Andrainea.” she said.

I was shocked and quickly hid that emotion from her. However, it was done to late and I saw that gleeful gleam in her eyes. She saw that emotion before I could hide it.

Shit.

Now it was going to take an army to subdue her and that was something I could not afford to do. I also could not afford to lose X and that made my options extremely limited. I had no choice. I had to activate the chip in her brain. Temporary paralysis of the body’s entire muscle structure would give me the edge I needed.

I rammed my hand into my pants pocket, looking for the activator and realized I had left in my office.

Fuck me!

Today was just not my day. I quickly reached over and hit the button to close the door to the environment. I saw X, An-drain-ee-uh as she called herself, cock her head to the side and then quickly turned her attention the guard who was now running towards the ever closing door. I knew he would not make it out of the environment and I also knew that X was going to enjoy his torture. He was one of the many guards who loved rape, cut, and beat her to the point where her body didn’t start healing until after the damage was done.

It was brutal and I enjoyed watching them do it to her over and over again. I also knew that she was going to give it back to him in kind. However, I doubt he would last two seconds before succumbing to death. I grinned as I watched the door finally shut them both inside.

I slowly turned around and saw the shocked faces of the other guards. I said nothing as I headed to my office. I had to retrieve the activator and get X under control. Gregs will entertain her long enough for me to do so. At least… that is my hope.

Shrugging slightly I continued on my way as I heard the screams of Gregs begging the others to unlock the door and let him out.

“Do not open that door. The first person who does or even tries… will be X’s next toy.” I said glaring over my shoulder as I saw one of the guards head to the door.

They all stopped in their tracks and shook in fear. Ah. Sweet, yummy fear. How I loved the scent and taste of that emotion. It was a high almost as good as loving on my little pet. I turned my head back around and starting walking once more.

It took me around five or six minutes to reach the door of my office and noticed the door was slightly ajar. I knew I did not leave that door open for any reason and felt a prickling sensation at the nape of my neck. Something told me that I would find something very unpleasant in there, but I had to get that activator. X was to precious to lose and I would be damned if I lost her!
