Chapter 7

Kylee: I like mpreg story lines too, though i thought it was disgusting until i actually read one. Total accident too, cause i had no idea what the heck 'mpreg' meant. Of course, i do now though. Sorry if it takes a while for it to get to that in my story. Also, truthfully? You'll find out about Kaden's family, not in this chapter, but really soon.

Athenaartisan: Oh, wow, and here i was thinking i was taking it slow... And about Kaden, you'll learn more about him soon enough ;)

Thanks for the reviews!!!

I went back inside, my mind still mulling over what Adam had said, and what he had said he would do. He didn’t actually plan on coming with us, did he? Was he suicidal? The heads wouldn’t stand for two of us to leave, especially at the same time.

I was very worried about what they would do to Kaden if were caught. We needed to leave soon, but I had to make sure that Kaden knew that he was my mate, before I took him anywhere, though that was something he’d have to find out himself, I couldn’t tell him, he probably wouldn’t believe me. He didn’t know much about demons, I could tell, but he might not believe me either way. I still wasn’t sure if Adam believed me himself.

But he knew that I was meaning to be with Kaden, whatever it took.

“Dean?” Kaden said, when I walked back in, and I could still see his face was red, from the fuck buddy comment.

“Nothing to worry about,” I knew he was going to ask about it, but I wanted to make sure that he knew he didn't have to worry.

“It was about me, wasn’t it?” I heard him say dejectedly. Instead of saying anything, I walked over to him, and put a hand on his shoulder.

“Everything’s going to be alright, okay? Me and Adam just had a few things to work out,” It was true, but Kaden still looked sad.

“I got you in trouble.”

“It wasn’t you’re fault,” I tried to reassure him, but apparently he wasn’t having none of it.

“I’m really sorry.” I sighed. Apparently I wasn’t going to make him think that, whether it was his fault or not, he didn’t have anything to worry about. I’d take care of everything.

“You want to go out somewhere?” I asked, hoping that I’d be able to get his mind off this particular subject. “We can finish our talk from earlier.” I remembered that there was something that he was trying to tell me before Adam barged in.

“Where?” Kaden asked, and I thought.

“How about we go driving?” It would be quiet, and we wouldn’t be disturbed. Kaden hesitated a minute, before finally nodding.

I got him his jacket, and we walked out, passing the lady worker from earlier, looking at my angel like he was a piece of meat to be devoured. It took all I could not to wring her neck.

It seemed unneeded jealously was something I was going to have to work on. If Kaden was gay, then I wouldn’t have to worry about the women. It was the men who were fine for me to ‘take care of.’

Soon we were in the car, and I was driving down random streets. It was quiet, before I decided to ask a few questions that had been on my mind.

“Do you know what kind of demon I am?” There were actually a few without heartbeats.

“Not really.” Kaden answered, leaning his head against the window.

“Do you want to know?” My angel looked towards me, before nodding, “ A vampire.”

For a minute, my angel was quiet, before- “I never considered a vampire a demon before.”

“It’s true though,” I was happy now, Kaden wasn’t trying to get away from me, even after know what I truly was, though maybe he didn’t know what being a vampire entailed?

“So, are you going to try and drink my blood or something?” He asked with a smile, half serious.

“Maybe,” Half serious too.

“What’s it feel like?” Kaden lifted his head, when I began to slow down the car, and parked near a quiet park. I liked to come here to be alone, where Adam or any other's wouldn’t find me.

“It’s different for everyone. For most, it’s actually quite painful.” It was true. That’s why we waited till they were too tired, and fast asleep.

“Most?” He asked, and I thought about what I should tell him.

“Some people actually get off from it,” None of my victims ever had, but it happens.

I looked over at Kaden, wondering what was going through his head. He looked deep in thought, and his face was slowly becoming more and more red.

“What are you thinking about?” I finally asked, and Kaden instantly looked guilty.

“Nothing,” He said quickly, biting his lip.

“Something. You look kind of embarrassed. Is it about the biting?” Kaden looked away, out the window. I couldn’t help but smirk, and leaned over, putting a hand lightly on his thigh.

“You want to try it out?” I don’t know what brought me to say that, but now I was curious. I wasn’t sure what it would do to him, and I wanted to try it out, but I didn’t want to hurt him.

I could hear Kaden’s heartbeat speed up, faster than it ever had before.

“Well?” I said softly, leaning even closer, turning my head slightly, so I could nuzzle into his neck.

“I…” he was at a lose for words, and I was giddy at the thought that he could be thinking of what I was thinking. It was very likely it was only because of the way the bond made him feel, but I was happy to take just that.

My hand when up his thigh a little more, to where it rested lightly on his groin. I could hear Kaden’s breath get harsher, and felt something respond from underneath my hand.

I grinned against Kaden’s neck, and nipped lightly, before putting more pressure on his hardening member. The smell of the blood pumping through his jugular was made stronger, and I couldn’t help but listen.

So loud… calling to me, wanting me to sink my teeth into his neck, and feel the slick, wet warmness trickle down my throat…

Before I could do anything, Kaden spoke, reminding me of myself.

“Dean… don’t…” He groaned out, though not sounding as if he didn’t want it convincingly enough. But, if that’s what he said he wanted…

I removed my hand, and sat back in my seat.

“You want to drive around a little more?” Kaden looked at me, shocked, as if he couldn’t believe I actually stopped.

“Sure,” he said after a moment, looking disappointed now, and sat back in his seat. I really would have continued, but I wasn’t going to go too far with him in public. I had a feeling he really wouldn’t like it too much.

But I was happy. Very happy, because he felt the same. Well, not the exact same, since I doubted he wanted to lock me up for the rest of my life, but then again, how would I know?

The bad thing was, I think just leaving him like that might have pissed him off a little, though he probably wouldn’t say anything about it.

But still, once we got back to my home, if I had another chance, I would take it, even if we didn’t go all the way. Just because he felt the effects of the bond, didn’t mean he was ready or anything. He might want to get to know me more, or think it was far too fast. Either way, I’d wait for him, if that’s what he wanted.

Nothing wrong with getting each other off from now till then, right?

“There was something else you were wanting to tell me?” I asked, not being able to keep the happy tune from my voice.

“Not that I remember.” He told me said, shrugging. Yeah, probably pissed off.

“You want to go home?” I asked, I mean, now that I think about it, how much fun could a blind person have when they’re just sitting in a car, without being able to see what’s going on around them?

“Sure.” I had a feeling he’d go just about anywhere I told him.

When we got back, Kaden seemed to be in a hurry when we got back into my home, though I found that he just had to go to the bathroom.

When he came out, he walked into the living room, seeming to have already been able to find his way around. He sat down on the couch, and I sat on the other end.

“Is Adam a vampire too?” Kaden asked for a moment, and I felt another bout of jealousy. Why the hell was my angel thinking about him for?

“Yeah,” I answered, thinking of ways I could steer this conversation, and any after it, away from Adam, or anyone else for that matter.

“He said something about you being in trouble?” Kaden asked, a sad look on his face again. Well, if he was talking about someone else, just so it could lead to me, than I guess I was fine with that.

I took a moment to think. I wasn’t really sure how to answer this, without scaring him off. I mean, what if he wasn’t really looking to settle down, or afraid of making a commitment? Even I was unsure of how this mating business went, and I didn’t know how Kaden thought.

“The clan heads don’t like it if we associate with those outside our breed, especially for a long period of time,” I told him, as close to the subject of mating as I could. It was true, in either sense, because vampires were supposed to be solitary creatures. The heads wouldn’t even converse with another type of demon if they didn’t have to, being the stuck up asses they were.

“If you want me to leave, I will,” I felt like we were going to have a similar conversation as the one before, all over again.

“No, I don’t want you to leave. Besides, the heads won’t give us any trouble, I’ll make sure of it.” Kaden looked pitiful, did he really care that much for me if I got into trouble?

I moved over towards him on the couch, placing a hand on his knee, and leaning in.

“I mean it, nothing is going to happen,” I told him, hoping that that would reassure him.

Kaden still had a guilty look on his face, but nodded.

I didn’t move though, Kaden had turned his face up to mine, and I couldn’t help but stare into his grayish black eyes. They were even closer to black, then they were earlier. It was odd, but I could see this faint, shiny ring going around the iris. It didn’t look part of his eye at all.

Contacts.

I moved back quickly, though not enough to let my hand raise from Kaden’s knee. His head cocked to the side in curiosity.

“Are you…” I shook my head quickly. No, I wasn’t going to ask. If Kaden really wasn’t blind, then he was going to tell me on his own.

But it really pissed me off that he’d lie to me. I mean, why would a blind person need contacts. When I was close to him, I noticed they were in both eyes.

It was also probably the reason his iris’ were that odd grayish color, but why were they getting darker? Did he have them off earlier?

“What?” Kaden asked, when I didn’t go on. I had thought I wasn’t going to ask, but I wanted to know. I wanted to the truth.

“Are you wearing contacts?” I finally said, and watched Kaden, whose eyes began to get larger, surprised.

“They’re still in?” He suddenly asked, before looking up, and putting his finger in his eyes, which I couldn’t help but flinch at.

When he lifted his finger off, and looked to me, he still looked surprised. I was too, because now one eye was completely black and the other was still grey.

“Wow, I was wondering why…” It seemed he wasn’t even talking to me, and looking at the small, clear contact lens on his finger.

“What?” I asked, and he looked up at me again, before smiling.

“I can see,” He said happily.

“What…?” I asked stupidly, but my angel just kept smiling.

“What I was wanting to tell you earlier, is that I’m not always blind. The demon blood makes me blind for only about a week or so.” He explained, before fishing the other contact lens out of his eye.

“How… is that?” I asked. Yeah, I was thrilled that my angel wasn’t completely blind, but I had never heard of this before.

“Don’t know. It started happening a few years ago, I’d go blind for a little while, then my sight came back. Was wondering why it lasted longer this time.”

“Then why are you wearing contacts?” Kaden looked at me for a moment, looking a little mad, though I knew it wasn’t pointed at me.

“Jeremy wants to milk the whole blind teenager violinist for all he can, and the contacts don’t exactly make my sight better. It’s more of just a grey film, that I can’t see through, so I literally am blind while I have them in.”

“Oh…” I am going to hunt Jeremy down, and kill him. Using my angel for his own personal gains, despicable.

“Why didn’t you tell me this earlier?” I tried hiding the anger from my angel, though some of it got out.

“I was going to, but that Adam guy came in, and I was sort of mad in the car…” He turned his head away, but I could still see the flush on his cheeks.

“So you don’t know why this happens?” Kaden was already shaking his head.

“Not a clue. Doctors just put it down to an attribute of my demon heritage.”

There wasn’t a single type of demon that I could think of that had anything like chronic recurring blindness. It was very odd, but still, I was happy. My angel wasn’t blind, completely, which meant I really didn’t have anything to fix, just make sure to take extra care of him when it happened.

“How long do you have until it happens again?” I asked, and Kaden thought.

“About another month or so,” He guessed, shrugging, “Its kind of random.”

Not helping, really, but I could deal.
