~Three weeks later~

Sheryl Tix was in the kitchen, her cat ears and tail showed as she prepared for tonight’s dinner- meatloaf with Mac and Cheese. Her doughter, Karlie has helping her mother set the table for her family plus two more. Sheryl checked the clock-7:15 P.M- her husband David would be home shortly and she started to set the food on the table.

“Honey, can you see who’s at the door,” She asked Karlie, as she place the meatloaf on the table and went to get the green beans.

“Sure and Karlie jogged over towards the front door to see who it was. She smiled as she saw Daniel though the glass and opened it for him, throwing her arms around him and planting a big wet kiss on him. “I am so happy you’re here,” she said, giving her boyfriend another hug after they parted lips.

Karlie snickered and hid her smile as she looked him over, seeing that he also gelled his hair back. “It took me a while to convince him to come, but I did it.”

“Don’t say it, Karlie. I already heard it from Daniel” Leon interrupted her, he felt stupid enough as it was. Daniel said to dressed nice, but when his Dingo friend came to get him, he just laughed and told him that it wasn’t a fancy dinner party.

“Oh, come on Leo. I think you look rather nice. Aaron won’t even recognize you all dolled up though.” she said, ushering the two boys in and into the dinning room where Sheryl was just putting the pasta on the table.

“Daniel hi, how have you been” she gasp, seeing Daniel and giving him a big hug. “And how’s this?” she then asked, seeing Leon standing back a ways from the group with his hands in his pockets.

“Oh, intro.” Karlie said, walking over to Leo and pulling him towards her mother. “Mom, this is Leon Stone, the extra guest that you agreed that could come.”

“Please to meet you, Mrs. Tix” Leon said, out stretching his hand and Sheryl shook it willingly.

“Nice to meet you, Leo. Say, are you related to Matthew and Vera Stone?” she asked.

“They were my parents.” Leon said, staring down at the carpet floor and exposing his ears and tail. Sheryl gasped and told him how sorry she was for his lost, he didn’t really care about that any more, it was in the past but he smiled and said thank you for her regards. As they waited for Sheryl’s husband to arrive, all three skin walkers went into the family room where they talked for a while.

“I don’t want to see any fur on the sofa,” Sheryl told Daniel who just turned into her form and laid on the couch, “I just cleaned the house and I don’t want to clean it again.” Daniel nodded and rested his head in Karlie’s lap who began to scratch behind his ears.

Leon stayed silent for the most part of their conversation, he just looked around the room and around the corner and wondered where Aaron was. He finally asked his mom where he was and she told him that he was taking a nap in his room and he asked if he could see him. Sheryl didn’t really want anyone to see her son; he hadn’t been feeling so well for the past week and didn’t look like he was getting any better. But she told him that he could check up on him and Leon smiled as he got up to see his love. It had been so long since he had seen him and frankly he had really missed him. Leon had kept his promise about writing to him daily, but once Aaron found out that he had a Myspace, he stopped writing and just e-mailed him daily, signing his e-mails with hearts and kisses. Leon slowly made his way up the stairs and over towards the last door on the left, he slowly opened the door to find the bed empty and a cartoon playing on the T.V. he walked in and stared at the television and found it very strange, he hadn’t been outside of his yurt for years and didn’t even knew what movies were out. What he found was quit funny as he saw a talking Meerkat dressed as a hula girl and a Warthog on a plate tried to distract a large group of Hyenas as two lions sneaked passed them. The yells of the two creators as they ran away were interrupted by the sound of the toilet flushing and Leon turned just in time to see Aaron stepping out of the bathroom, wiping something off his lower lip.

“Leon!” Aaron gasped, seeing the Skinwalker in his room. “What are you doing here?” he was embarrassed that he was in his boxers and his room was a pigsty.

“Your mom somewhat invited me for dinner.” the lion replied. “Are you ok?” he walked over to him and placed a hand over his forehead, “you don’t have a favor.”

“No, but I have a terrible headache and been nauseated for the past two weeks.” Aaron turned off the T.V. as he climbed back into bed, turning away from his guest to go back to sleep. Leon sighed and sat on the edge of Aaron’s bed, leaning down and nuzzling his cheek against Aaron’s, making him turn and smile. “How have you been?” he asked, pulling the bed sheets and allowing Leo to slip in with him.

“Fine. I was just thinking that you might have caught something while recovering. Down in the dinning room, the two boys saw that everyone was waiting for them and they quickly found their seats and David said the prayer before they could dig in. there were many good reviews from the family and the two guests about the food, Leon did most of the review since he hadn’t had a real home cook meal for a long time.

“Why, thank you Daniel.” Sheryl said, “Oh and me and my husband are really grateful for taking care of Aaron when he got hurt.”

“You are quit welcome, though I must thank you and Aaron for helping me get back to licking humans. I somewhat hated them after they took my family from me.

“Let me help you,” Leo said, taking his plate and Sheryl’s plate from her and helped started to clean off the table as did Aaron. After the table was cleared, Karlie brought in the cake she made and handed out slices, they continued on with their conversation about school and such but they stopped when the clock struck 10:30 and signaled for Daniel and Leon to get on the road again.

Just then Daniel opened the front doors to the office and called for them, Aaron gave Leo a peck on the cheek and smiled at him before running off into the building and leaving Leo outside for a moment, kicking the side of the building in frustration. He walked in the waiting room just as Aaron was going back in. He motion for Leo to come with him and Leo slowly walked back into the examining room where Aaron was given a dressing gown to put on. Once Aaron had the gown on, he hopped up onto the examining table while Leo took one of the two armchairs that lined the wall and rested his head on the heel of his hand and they began to wait for the Doctor. Leon looked Aaron who seemed to have not a care in the world, but Leo really needed to tell Aaron what he failed to tell him in the parking lot. “Aaron…” Leo began to say, and Aaron turned to him with a smile on his face. Before he could say another word, a woman wearing a light pink blouse and black slacks came in with a doctor’s coat on, ruining Leo’s chance to talk to his love. She held in her boney fingers Aaron’s file and pulled out thin black glasses and placed them on her big narrow nose.

“Hello there, I‘m Dr. Dolton” she said smiling at Aaron who said hello back, and she began examining him from head to foot. As the female physician looked over Aaron, Aaron looked over her and tried to figure out what animal she was. “It’s good to see you again, Aaron,” she said while listening to his heart.

“We’ve met before?” Aaron asked, trying to remember where they met.

She nodded, “yes, but you don’t remember. You were only a few seconds old when we met.”
“You delivered me?” he asked and she nodded once more. “So all the things that my mom said about me being delivered by the stork…”

“All true.” she finished Aaron’s sentenced and check his file one more time to see if he had any more tests. As she check, Aaron stared in disbelief that he was delivered by the stork but he shook the thought out of his head and was told that he had to pee in the cup and went into the bathroom across the hall. When he came back he handed the pee filled cup and sat back up on the table. Next he was told she needed to draw blood and that would be all.

Aaron groaned at the sound of that, he always hated getting his blood needed to be drawn. Leon sat silent for most of the exam, but he smiled and stood up and walked over towards the exam table. “Why don’t you lie down.” he told Aaron and he did, taking a deep breath as he prepared himself. Dr. Dolton left the room and a nurse came in with the equipment for taking blood. Aaron winced at just the sight of the needles and tubes. He clenched his eyes closed and tensed up as he held out his arm for the nurse to clan his arm and got ready to draw blood. Leon held Aaron’s hand to comfort him but he saw that it wasn’t doing any good when he saw a small tear escape his eye. He smiled at him and gently placed a kiss on his love’s forehead, making Aaron relax a bit more and stared up at him. Leon smiled back and planted another kiss on his lips and Aaron-on contact- opened for him. “I’m sorry Aaron, I really wanted to but I couldn’t. I couldn’t risk the fact that you might leave me when you find out and get an abortion.”

“Maybe I will.” Aaron spat, “maybe if I am knocked up, then maybe I will get an abortion-I don’t want to be pregnant!”

“Please don’t,” Leo begged, grabbing Aaron’s hands, “you now hold my entire future in your hands-well, stomach actually. But if you have forgotten, I am the last of my kind, the last of the lion Skinwalkers, if you get an abortion then when I die then my kind will be extinct. So please…don’t do anything drastic.” he then leaned into Aaron to give him a kiss, but Aaron turned away from him and stared down at the floor. Leo got the idea and went back to his seat, they didn’t speak to each other throughout the rest of the time they where at the office.

After a while, Aaron thought that it was just one big joke and forgot all about what Leon said till the doctor came in. Aaron looked up at the doctor and saw that it wasn’t Dr. Dolton that walked in but another one in a black tee and jeans, with a doctor’s coat on with her long blond hair up in a messy bun. “Hello there Aaron,” she said, it was Daniel’s mom, he had only met her once but he would recognizer her from her smile and deep sea green eyes.

Aaron waved hi and wondered why she was here; he saw a file in her hands so he thought that she was here to tell him about the samples he had to take. “I have here the tests results, and we ran them a few times just to make sure and do you know what we found out?”

“That I am just fine and I can go home and would be expecting a big bill?” Aaron asked, forgetting everything that Leon just said to him.

“No,” she replied, “we found out that you are pregnant, did you recently ate a Phuu fruit?”

“Yes he did,” Leo said behind her, “both me and Daniel gave it to him.”

“He did?” Leo nodded, and they both turned and saw that Aaron was laughing hysterical. “Aaron, are you okay?”

“Yeah… sure, I am.” Aaron said, “it’s just I found out that I am pregnant, my love has used me for his own selfish reasons and I have turned into a talk show Oprah, Dr. Phil, Murray Jerry Springer freak. I mean, my life couldn’t get any worse.” His laughter started to get louder and Leo tried to stop him, but Aaron just pushed him away. Leo saw that he was going though a rough time right now, and that he started to cry, though you couldn’t see it cause of his Tim Burton Joker expression, but you could see the tears streaming down his face. Aaron’s laughter soon died down but he still had on a big grin on his face, but that didn’t last long either.

“AARON!” Leon gasp as he watch his love’s eyes roll back into his head and fainted, hitting his head hard on the tile floor. Leo rushed over to his side and so did Daniel’s mom, checking to see if he was okay or if there was any damaged that was caused by the fall, Leo was happy that Aaron was alright and that he only fainted cause of the recent news of his pregnancy was real. He stared down at his unconscious love and lifted him up off the ground and placed him back on the examining table, kissing his forehead before leaving him to sleep if off in the small room. He returned back to the waiting room where he found Daniel looking at last month’s US Weekly. “He knows,” he told him, hooking his thumbs in his back pocket. “And he’s not happy about it.”

Daniel’s mom soon came into the waiting room and motion for the two boys to fallow her back into her office, she wasn’t happy with what they did and she was going to give them a piece of her mind.
