The next morning Sae woke up from his dreamless slumber, sitting up on the plush bed and stretching with a loud yawn. Scratching his belly and glancing around the ornate room, he wondered briefly what Park had in store for him. The word ‘concubine’ flashed across his mind briefly, but the teen quickly pushed it away with a snort and a shake of his head, blaming it on his overactive imagination and the fact that he watched too many horror movies. These guys were mafia, not pirates. Mafia didn’t keep concubines, pirates did. Er, pirates kept booty. Concubines. What did Mafioso keep?
Sae didn’t want to find out.
The silver silk pajamas he was wearing brushed against his skin smoothly, making him sigh in contentment as he moved towards the bathroom. Despite being kept captive, he was starting to get used to being pampered. First the cruise ship, now this… Sae’s spirits dampened a bit as he thought of the cruise ship.
Bam…
Had his cousin really turned him in to the other side for a suitcase full of money? After all they had went through? It just didn’t seem like the older man, to just do that sort of thing. He seemed so honest and trustworthy… the young Korean remembered the look of pure guilt and sadness that had been written all over Bam’s features, making the Japanese man seem like he was decades older. There had been dark shadows on his face and agelines and creases… Sae closed his eyes as he entered the bathroom and flipped on the lights, turning to glance in the large mirror at his own reflection.
A slightly saddened teenaged boy looked back at him, dark sapphire eyes complimented by burgundy wisps of hair mussed strategically from sleep. Pale skin was covered by the silken pajamas that were a bit too large for his slim frame, and his skin had a few freckles from sun exposure -the result of shirtless years in soccer practice.
Filling a glass with water from the tap and taking a few big gulps to get rid of the morning taste in his mouth, Sae placed the cup back on the fancy marble counter and turned around the shower. It looked average, not as fancy as the one on the cruise ship, and the teen deemed it usable (for now) and proceeded to undress.
Twenty minutes later the door to the bathroom opened and Sae emerged from the steam-filled room with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist, water dripping in rivulets down his slender torso as he moved to a dresser to start fishing around for clothes. Surely Park wouldn’t think to have a captive and not dress him, right?
“Aha,” Sae whispered to himself with a bit of glee as he found some jeans, checking the tags to see that they were almost the perfect size. He tossed them back onto the bed and set about his search for a top, trying to find a regular t-shirt. He just wanted something comfortable to put on – after wearing his school uniform for nearly three days straight, then a tux, and then silk, he was ready to just be casual. Finding a regular dark blue tee, he turned around and tossed it on the bed as well, glancing at the crystal earring that was lying innocently on the bedside table.
“… No way.” He said, picking it up and opening the drawer, hearing an echoey surprised squeak come out of the earring as he placed it inside. “You’ll come out when I’m done, you pervert.” He said with a knowing smile, shutting the drawer and turning around. He glanced over towards the window, seeing a bit of sunlight peeking through, and decided he wanted to go check on the weather before he decided to put on clothes; if it was a colder day, he may want to put on a longsleeved tee instead, or maybe a sweatshirt.
Pushing the fancy curtains aside, Sae squinted when the bright sunlight rested on his half-naked body. He took in a deep breath and lifted his hands to undo the metal latch, pushing the ornate windows out and open to let in the cool breeze, which instantly refreshed the teen as he took in another deep breath of clean, fresh air. It smelled lightly of orchids and lilacs, which were in bloom around the windows and the mansion and on the grounds, giving everything a beautiful smell as well as making it a sight to be seen. He rested his hands on the sill, the water on his body starting to dry up with the warm rays of sun hitting his skin, and shook his head with a small chuckle to send sparkling water everywhere.
It was the first moment of real peace he’d felt in about a week.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
… Of course it wasn’t going to last long.
“Park.” Sae said, letting out an obviously disappointed sigh and turning around, crossing his arms over his bare chest and glaring at the older man. “Can’t you knock?”
Park mocked hurt, “I did, but when no answer came I got worried and came in to investigate. It appears my lovely Sae was just enjoying the weather.”
Sea rolled his sapphire eyes and moved past the older man, irritated that his momentary peace had been so short-lived. Maybe if he used sickly sweet words and let the man have a kiss or two he could go out on the grounds for an hour or so? It looked like there were horses in the distance; he’d love to go for a ride.
As he grabbed his shirt to pull it over his head, he was abruptly stopped in the motion when strong arms encircled his waist from behind. His entire body stilled and goosebumps rose from head to toe, his breath getting caught in his throat as Park nuzzled his neck lovingly.
“I was wondering if we could play for a bit, dear Sae…~”
The teen’s heart rate sped up drastically, his chest expanding rapidly with the breaths that he was trying to control. Despite the fact that Park’s body was warm against his own, Sae shivered violently, and pulled away from Park, turning around and shrinking somewhat into himself.
“Park, I don’t…”
Emerald eyes looked a bit confused, and then narrowed slightly. “Do not doubt that while you are in my hands I am responsible for anything and everything that happens to you. Bam is not here to protect you – you are now mine. I will tolerate your inability to carry out my requests only for so long, but I warn you that my patience is thin.” Park’s voice was deep and commanding, making Sae flinch as the man pulled back and stalked towards the door, opening it and shutting it violently behind him.
Sae sat down on the bed and let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. A hand went to his heart, feeling the organ thumping wildly against his chest, and oceanic orbs closed as the teen tried to calm himself down. Is this what he was going to be submitted to? He hoped he could figure something out before Park’s patience completely wore out…

“Bam, we’ve got the money. You can’t seriously be thinking about-,”
“I can’t just leave him there!” Bam said angrily, grabbing a backpack and stuffing it full of clothes. Soo Mi stared at her cousin with desperation, grabbing his bag and holding it to her chest.
“We’ve finally gotten what we wanted all these years, and now you’re going to compromise it!?” She yelled, tears welling in her eyes. “We’ve finally got the break we needed! The Kim regime is off our asses and you’re going to go muck it up again!”
Bam opened up a drawer in the dresser and knocked around a few guns, looking for his favorites. Pulling out a glock and a revolver, he put the latter in the back of his jeans and then grabbed his bag from Soo Mi with a glare.
“I can’t just leave Sae with that asshole.” He shoved the revolver into the bag as well, and then dropped to the floor to reach under the bed to start rummaging around for the correct ammunition.
Soo Mi slumped her shoulders and dropped her mouth in shock. “You can’t be serious. You’re actually going to go back for… for that brat!?”
Bam’s gaze shot up, his cerulean eyes filled with malice. “That brat happens to be the most important thing to me right now, and if you think I’m going to just hand him over to that greedy, perverse bastard then you must not know me that well Soo Mi.”
The girl instantly silenced and bit her lip, the tears welling in her eyes . “Years, Bam, years. We’ve been planning this for years and this kid is changing everything?”
“Last time I checked our family believed in honor, justice, and love. Not money and extortion.” Bam said, grabbing the bullets and standing, stuffing the boxes into the bag, zipping it up and slinging it over his shoulder.
“So you’re telling me you love this kid?” Soo Mi asked with a bit of incredulity, crossing her arms over her chest, the attitude back.
Bam slowed his motions down, running it all over in his mind. Love…? The blue-haired man felt a lot of things for the young teen, and right now he just felt the insane urge to go rip the boy out of Park’s evil clutches. Regaining his composure as well, he straightened his back and puffed out his chest as he grabbed a few extra things and shoved them into the pockets of his jeans.
“Yeah, Soo Mi. The kid is my Prince and over the past week he became my first friend.” Behind his glare the softness in his heart could be seen. “I love him, and no amount of money that can be handed over to me is worth making him suffer being in Park’s hands.”
Bam made his grand exit, leaving an exasperated Soo Mi.
“But the money isn’t yours, it’s everyone’s!” She yelled furiously, stomping her foot and following after her cousin in a flurry of long raven hair.

A week had passed since Sae had first been subjected to being captive in Park’s mansion. Though Park hadn’t succumbed to any more violent outbursts, the teen had still been careful around the older man lest he decide to wear thin again. It was definitely something that the young Prince wasn’t looking forward to, possibly even avoiding, and for the first time in Sae’s life he found himself dancing on eggshells.
That could probably explain why Sae was currently sitting outside on a beautiful veranda in the company of said irritable Mafioso, sipping on pink lemonade and watching the nearby horses graze.
“This isn’t so bad, is it?” Park commented, setting down his whiskey on ice and smiling handsomely at Sae. The teen glanced over and offered a somewhat coy smile, opting to not voice his honest opinion, and Park seemed pleased with that response. Sunglasses covered both male’s eyes as the afternoon sun warmed them on the Spring day, Sae dressed casually in a pair of slightly worn jeans and a loose white button up shirt that was completely undone due to the celestial rays. Park was in a business suit per usual, which normally didn’t bother the teen, but on a day like today just looking at the older man made Sae squirm with sweat.
“Would you like some water, Your Highness?” A maid appeared on Sae’s right, and he shook his head and waved her away. Despite his arguing everyone, including Park, called him Prince, even though they had ripped him from his family. If Sae had been raised his whole life with the title he might be a little more appreciative being called as such still, but as it were it was even more of a reminder that his first real friend had betrayed him.
“My dear Sae,” Park started, shifting in his cushy seat to face the teen a bit better, donning a bit of a serious look on his face. Sae resisted the urge to roll his eyes, as he faced Park as well, preparing himself for ‘the talk’ that he got at least once a day. “My staff is here to cater to your every need. Anything you want, they will give you. Anything at all.”
Sae smiled sweetly and leaned forward, placing a hand on Park’s thigh and giving it a sensual squeeze. “I thought you could help me with all of that…?” Sunglasses slid down low on Sae’s pert nose, revealing dark sapphire eyes as Sae licked his lips lightly, the faint taste of pink lemonade still present on his flesh.
A brow on the older man’s features rose with curiosity, and Park placed a hand over Sae’s, making a chill run down the teen’s spine. Sae was starting to regret this plan of action, thinking maybe he should have taken another route to figure out just what Park’s ulterior motives were. Park used his other hand to let long, delicate fingers pull his sunglasses off of his face and fold them to place them on the table top, and then calmly took a drink of his whiskey before he licked his lips and then sat back again.
“I can give you whatever you want, my Prince.” Park finally said, opening his arms in a gesture. “You just don’t seem willing to accept my offers.”
“I just don’t understand your motives,” Sae said carefully, not wanting to make Park mad or spark some other unwanted reaction.
Park blinked, looking a bit confused. “My motives?” The man echoed, his eyes turning a bit inward as he seemed to think for a few moments. “Hmm…” he picked up his whiskey glass, not to take a drink but to swirl the ice in the glass around a bit, making the chunks clink and clatter around a bit. He set it down and looked at Sae contemplatively. “What do you think they are?”
The teen paused. Yeah, like he was really going to tell Park that he was afraid of being molested and possibly raped or even killed if he didn’t comply with one of the man’s weird whims. Or even that he thought Park just wanted a weird little playmate sorta thing. So Sae just swallowed the lump in his throat and shrugged, opting for a mumbled “I dunno”.
“It gets lonely, Sae, being on top of the world.” Park started, glancing off towards the horizon. “I think that someone like you would understand, someone of your importance.”
“That’s just it, Park.” Sae said, his own patience wearing thin. “I don’t understand. I never had a chance to be on top, to get to understand all the hardships. I didn’t get any of that.”
Park glanced at Sae and fell silent, licking his lips and tapping his foot idly, his knee bouncing. He was listening.
“I’m nothing like you. I knew my family for a few hours. I knew Bam for less than a week. And I didn’t even get a chance to help them before you stole me away for reasons that I don’t even comprehend.” He raised a hand to run fingers through his burgundy hair, the red highlights glistening in the sunlight. “I went from having nothing, to having something, and now I have a whole lot of nothing with a stranger governing my life.”
The older man remained silent for about fifteen minutes, and Sae was thankful for it. Not even a servant interrupted the blissful solitude, and Sae took advantage of it by actually taking in the landscape and finishing off his pink lemonade. Though he could go for that water right about now… the syrup from the lemonade was sitting low in his belly. Finally Park spoke up as he stood from the table, excusing himself. His entire demeanor had changed, like a huge weight was on his shoulders and he was finally taking in Sae’s opinion and thinking about it.
Funny what it took to make people to start thinking about someone else’s opinions. The maid came along eventually with a glass of ice water – were maids capable of reading minds? – and Sae sipped on it lightly as he stared at a white mare that was closest to the fence line.
If he was the Prince in distress right now in need of rescue… would his knight in shining armor come galloping along on a stallion, like in the movies and fairy tales? Hah, not likely. This is the real world, Sae, don’t get your hopes up too high.
He sighed and glanced up towards the mansion that Park had retreated in to. For some reason he felt like a parent that had just told a kid there was no Santa Claus; that was the look that had fallen across Park’s features. Was Park really so lonely that he thought he had to buy a friend? Sae had felt lonely before but not so much that he was desperate… then again he wasn’t in this world where you could lose your life at any minute, where even the servants carried concealed weapons. Suddenly Sae felt bad for how he had treated Park, when it seemed that Park had only wanted a friend.
Finishing off his water, Sae stood from the table and buttoned his shirt halfway before moving into the mansion, setting out to find the older man. He wanted to make amends; he didn’t want to come off as bratty towards the man that was trying to get on his good side.
It didn’t take him long; Park was in the middle of the library, on the floor surrounded by hundreds of books in quite a few different languages, pouring over the literature as if he were trying especially hard to distract himself. Sae bit his lip and hovered in the doorway for a bit, debating on whether or not he should enter or just leave the man alone.
“You’ve come this far, you might as well say what you’ve got on your mind.”
Sae sighed and stepped into the room, glancing around. He’d only walked by the room before, never taking the time to look around; it was ornately decorated in the Victorian style, looking like it had been taken out of an old European castle and filled with books from every corner of the world. His eyes came to rest on the man sitting on the opal rug on the floor amongst the ridiculous pile of scattered books, and for once Sae noticed that Park really didn’t look that much older than himself. Twenty-three – no older than twenty-five.
“I just wanted to apologize,” Sae said, sitting in one of the winged armchairs Indian style, tucking his bare feet beneath him and placing his hands on his knees, leaning forward. “I didn’t mean to come off as rude. I guess I just felt like my life was heading in the direction that was good…”
“And I messed it up for you.”
What was Park, a hormonal teenager? Sae frowned, wondering where the assertive and dominant Park went, and who this reserved and slightly withdrawn man was.
“Everything is just happening so fast,” Sae said, trying to get the negative and nasty thoughts out of Park’s head. Why was he suddenly caring about his captors feelings? How ridiculous. “Right now I’m supposed to be in a class room taking my final exams.” He glanced up at the ceiling, wondering how his so-called ‘friends’ were doing without his study notes. “If you would have told me a week ago that I would be in the Kim Mansion instead of in my classroom, I would have either punched you for being stupid, or just punched you for talking to me ‘cause you were annoying.”
Park snickered lightly, closing a book and tossing it aside, glancing up at Sae with a raised brow. “I never took you for the violent type,” he said, emerald eyes holding a teasing glint in them.
Sae shrugged. “I thought I knew who I was before Bam kidnapped me. Apparently I didn’t know anything about anything at all, myself included.” He picked up the book that Park had discarded; Human Geneology: Genetic Defects in Bloodlines and Breeds.
“If you came for chit-chat, this isn’t the time, Prince.” Park bit out, and despite the fact that he looked so young hunkered down on the floor among the mess of books, his voice reminded Sae that he was still the same Park that bought him in the first place.
Sae stood up and moved over to the dark-haired man, kneeling down and putting his fingers under the man’s chin to make him look up into sapphire eyes.
“I came to apologize. You’ll take it for what it is.”
Just as Sae moved to get up Park’s fingers encircled his wrist and kept him place, both of them frozen. Emerald and sapphire met in an intense gaze, one face flushed slightly in anger, the other fixed with slight amusement.
“The Prince is gracing me with his apology and I should be grateful, you mean?” Park asked, his breath hot on Sae’s cheek, smelling faintly of the whiskey he had consumed earlier.
This was unlike any other time the pair had been close. No, this time there was a heat unfurling in Sae’s belly, spreading up through his chest that felt like it was going to erupt through his fingertips if he didn’t do something. What that something was, he wasn’t sure. The smirk on Park’s features wasn’t doing anything to help the heat – it only seemed to spur it on. A growl emitted from someone’s throat, who’s, Sae didn’t know, but the next thing he knew their lips smashed together in a bruising, electric kiss. Teeth gnarled together and hands clutched desperately at bodies to bring the other impossibly close, which resulted in the younger one toppling backwards with Park straddling him, plundering his mouth with his hot tongue and pushing the material of his shirt aside to let his hot palms slide over his skin.
Sae arched into the touch with a whimper which made Park let out a growl in return, their lips still locked in an insufferable kiss, each fighting for dominance despite the fact that the older man was sitting atop the young Prince. Nimble fingers undid the buttons on white fabric, shoving the material aside violently as Park managed to pry his lips off of Sae’s and move them down to a dusky nipple, biting on the flesh none-too-gently, causing the younger male to cry out in a mixture of pain and pleasure as his back arched into the hot mouth.
An explosion in another part of the building made the pair jump apart from each other, their expressions shocked and visages rumpled as they both looked at the door, some plaster from the ceiling shaking loose and raining down atop them. Sae glanced up, eyes wide, as Park stood up immediately and whipped out his vibrating cell phone.
“What the hell is going on!?”
Sae stood up shakily, his body’s aroused state making it a bit hard to do anything other than be wobbly and rather useless. He stared at Park, who’s jaw was clenched and twitching in irritation as he listened to the frantic voice on the other line. The Prince opened up his mouth to ask what was going on when another bomb went off, closer this time, making quite a few books topple off the shelves and landing all around them. Sae jumped and clung to Park on instinct, who automatically put an arm around the Prince and started to head out of the library.
Park snapped his phone shut and shoved it back into his pocket, and Sae jumped violently and let out a yelp when another explosion went off, this one being in the room they had just exited.
“What the fuck!?” Sae screeched, and Park hurried them both down the stairs into the main lobby, which was in ruins. Servants were running around with guns and other weapons that Sae didn’t care to think about too much lest he have nightmares, and Park shielded Sae from view as best as possible as they headed towards the armored truck that was waiting for them outside.
“Get in!” Park yelled, and Sae turned around to see Park drawing his gun and shooting into the building, return shots being fired and clinking off of the truck.
“What!?” Sae demanded, nearly stopping if it weren’t for all of the explosions and gun shots.
“Get in the fucking truck!” The Mafioso yelled again, nearly picking Sae up and throwing him into the opening and getting ready to slam the door shut.
“Park! Park, wait!”
The door was slammed shut on the young Prince before he could say anything else, a huge explosion and a few gun shots lingering in the air before the rumbling of the truck was all Sae heard, the young teen’s ass lifting up off of the steel floor occasionally with the potholes and uneven terrain the truck was running over. Sapphire eyes were staring at the shut door where Park had been moments ago, shooting at the unknown enemy, and protecting him.
What had he started when he kissed Park? What had he gotten into when he apologized? Just what exactly was the Kim family – rich and successful or conniving and witty?
Sae let out a ragged breath and dropped his head against the steel wall; nothing was comfortable about this stupid truck. From what he could tell there was nothing else in it – empty crates, sheets, and some nails. Awesome company.
“It’s a lot more comfortable up here, Kicks.”
The voice made Sae’s head jerk up and look towards the cabin, where a pair of cerulean eyes were flashing at him accompanying a 100-watt smile.
“Bam…” Sae breathed, his eyes welling up with tears that he wasn’t really sure he wanted to shed.
“This isn’t exactly a white horse or nothin’, but it’s the best I could do for now.”
“Asshole!” Sae threw himself forward to the other side of the bench seat and was nearly on Bam’s lap, letting the tears fall as he curled into his cousin to seek out the familiar warmth that he had grown to miss.
Bam wrapped his arms around the smaller boy and kissed the top of the burgundy head and chanced a glance at Soo Mi, who looked mildly irritated but relieved as she navigated the roads, and then the turquoise-haired man thanked God that Sae was safe and that maybe, maybe now things could get on the right track.

A/N: Huurrrr. :B I probably lost all of my reviewers. But let’s see eh? Maybe I’ll get some new ones. I hope it still flows well. @_@;
Love much~
