~Chapter Seven- The start of a Friendship~
Erick Walters sighed. It was free hour and he had come up to the school Library to study up on his Math. The day hadn\'t been so awful, he had most certainly been through worse days then this. However, no matter how hard he tried to concentrate, his mind kept wandering off. He had been trying to study for about twenty minutes until he finally just gave up; It was not going to happen. His mind kept wandering off to the events that had happened two weeks ago. And he couldn\'t help but replay the scene over and over and over again in his head.
He had angered the GGFF leader to no end. He had pushed the older boy without reason. Yet despite the action that he had been sure would cause him ALOT of trouble-- the older boy had acted like the incident had never happened. After Jacob had left him in the restroom alone-- bleeding. Erick had gone home, not caring whether his father would beat him up even more. He had been relieved when he found that his father was once again gone. But to his complete and utter dismay, he had had another emotional break down, in which he had confused himself to no end. It seemed that lately he was having nothing BUT emotional break downs. He had been acting like a total pussy lately-- he had been acting like a girl.
But when he realized this, when he realized how pathetic he was acting, he had forced himself to gain control once again. He would not let those morons break him. He would not let ANYONE break him; he would be strong for himself.
But even he knew that being strong would only serve to not break his pride-- He was not ignorant. He had come to the conclusion that he was now in deeper shit than he had been before. He had offended one of the GGFF members and that act alone had caused him alot of problems. But surely pushing their leader and provoking him to no end was even worse. For a while he had even thought he was as good as dead. Yeah, he would fight, and he would not break down like a girl in front of them; but still, he knew that in the end he would loose. It was not possible for him to win against the GGFF. Especially all of them against only him. But they would not break him. No, they would beat and torture him, but they would not break him. He WOULD be strong.
Though he had thought he was a dead man, he was wrong. Here he was, two weeks later, very much alive! At first he had thought that the GGFF wasn\'t doing anything to him in school because they were planing something outside of it. So he had stayed home quite often. However, he soon realized that nothing had changed in the treatment he received at school. Aside from the normal glares that he was already used to-- nothing seemed any more hostile than it had always been. What was going on? Had Jacob not said anything? Was Jacob going to pretend like nothing happened? Or was the GGFF leader planning something worse? No matter how much he had tried to figure it out, he had ended up getting himself more confused each time he thought about it. All these questions had been working migraines into his head!! He knew that he wouldn\'t know exactly what was going on until the GGFF decided to make a move. And even though Erick would never admit this to anyone, he did hope that Jacob hadn\'t said a word. Because if Jacob didn\'t say anything, it would save him alot of hurt.
But he wasn\'t going to believe anything yet. He was still not sure if the older boy had kept his mouth shut. And no matter how much he wanted to believe that the older boy hadn\'t said anything, he would NOT be soo naive.
If he allowed himself to believe that Jacob hadn\'t said one word, and then he found out otherwise-- he knew that it would hurt. It would hurt to know that Jacob HAD been planning something against him the whole time. It would hurt to know that the older boy didn\'t care at all-- it would hurt to know that the older boy wasn\'t human. However since he DID want to believe that Jacob hadn\'t said anything. He himself had not said one word about the incident in the restroom to Carlos or Bobby. And with a little bit of luck, everything would turn out OK.
-------------FLASHBACK---TWO WEEKS AGO IN THE RESTROOM--------------
\"What the hell is your problem flea bag?\"
Erick looked up and his eyes met a shade of dark green.
\"Jacob...\" He whispered.
Humiliation swept through Erick faster than any other emotion. Realizing just how he must look at the moment: Pathetic and useless. He disgusted even himself. How had things gotten so bad? How had he stooped so low? When had he become so weak? He had never had so many problems controlling his emotions. What the hell was happening to him?
He looked into Jacobs eyes once again, able to read nothing. The boy held a cold glare that betrayed no emotions. Very much unlike himself; for he was sure that Jacob could read him like a book, he could sense it.
But that wasn\'t important. He didn\'t care if Jacob could read him like a book, not at the moment. What was Jacob doing here anyways? What did he want? Did he come here to find him? Was it time for his beating? If it was, where was Greg?
\"Are you just going to stare at me all afternoon? Answer the dam question flea bag\". There was hint of irritation in Jacobs voice along with a small warning.
All the humiliation that Erick had been feeling, fled. It was replaced by a sudden anger. Anger that he had never felt towards the older boy before, not even the first time that they had fought. What the fuck did he care? Why did he even ask such a stupid question, when he himself had told Erick straight up that he DIDN\'T care? Why bother with being polite? What the hell kind of a game was the jerk trying to play? Did the jackass actually think that he was a complete idiot? Well if that was it, the stupid moron would be proved wrong!
Erick met the older boys eyes once again. Trying his best to form one of his own blank masks; hoping that it worked. He had made his decision already; he would not acknowledge the question that the older boy had asked him, he would not play along to such a stupid game. It was useless, and frankly, it was a waste of time. And he wasn\'t going to make himself look anymore stupid than he already felt. No way! He would not answer the question, and for all he cared, Jacob could kiss his ass. Instead he would get out of there before he did something stupid, something that he couldn\'t take back. Like he usually always did in situations like these.
So he strapped his backpack on, and made his way for the exit. He felt a hand grab his shoulder and pull him back. He felt his anger stirring in his stomach again. All control was gone. He pushed Jacob as hard as he could away from him; making the boy crash into the bathroom wall.
Jacob had quickly recovered and grabbed Erick\'s neck, choking the boy in his grip as hard as he could.
For long moments Jacob simply held Erick in his grip tightly; studying him. Erick was fighting frantically, trying to gain control of the situation so that he could once again breathe. He knew it was a little too late for regret, but he regretted his actions. He hadn\'t thought about how the older boy would react, he had forgotten the small, but important fact, that Jacob was stronger than him. And now, he wished he had remembered. It looked like Jacob would choke him to death....
Then, when Erick thought he was about ready to pass out, Jacob loosened his grip. It wasn\'t enough for him to escape but it was enough for him to breathe. He took in several desperate breaths, as if though at any moment the air would once again be out of his reach.
\"Did you really think you would get away with that?\" Jacob hissed.
\"Did you really think I wouldn\'t make you pay for your insolence? You idiot\".
Erick whimpered as the hand on his neck squeezed harder. Once again making it almost impossible for him to breathe.
\"Let go of me....jerk\". He managed to get out...
\"Do you have ANY idea what I can do to you?\" Jacob asked sternly.
/oh god\\ How was he going to get out of this alive? What was going to happen to him? His anger was all but gone, only fear resided within him at the moment. Along with the desire to calm the enraged demented person that was threatening to hurt him..... Was his life really going to end in the schools restroom? Why did things like this always happen to him? And why was he always attracting trouble to come his way?
\"Please....let me go... \"
The older boy squeezed harder for a few moments, not allowing Erick to breathe any longer. Once Erick was turning pale, the older boy let go of him and stepped back. He looked at Erick for a few moments, studying the younger boy once again. His eye brows were narrowed in anger. And the older boy looked like he was trying to hold some of it back. Which Erick was thankful for, he was rather sure he wouldn\'t be able to take (and live afterwards) Jacobs full wrath...
Then, out of nowhere, Jacob punched Erick straight in the face; sending the boy down to the floor. For a moment Erick could see nothing but stars. It was weird though, because he was sure that the punch was supposed to be painful, but he couldn\'t feel anything on his face any longer. Instead he felt numb, embarrassed, angry, and frightened. He was so powerless in front of Jacob, he had nothing on this guy; Jacob could take him anytime. And that thought only served to bring back the depression. He brought his hand up to carrass his injury, and felt the hot tears stain his cheeks at the sight of blood. But to his surprise, what hurt him the most was not the small sting of pain he was starting to feel on his face, it was not the fact that his pride had all but been crushed in front of his enemy, or worse, by his enemy. No, what hurt the worst was the look of disgust that Jacob was holding towards him. The look of disgust that had rested itself upon Jacobs featers; that is what hurt him the most.
\"Don\'t you ever touch me again. You filthy piece of shit\".
And with those last painful words-- Jacob left.
------------------------------END FLASHBACK---------------------------
\"Hey hot stuff\".
Erick was brought back from his thoughts when he heard the familiar and annoying voice speak. Over the last week Lissa had managed to give him over twenty different nick names. The girl had a very extensive imagination; though why she would choose to name him such things, was beyond him. The names only served to get Erick irritated and embarrassed.
He nodded his head towards the girl as a greeting. He found himself thankful for her presence; he had been trying to avoid Carlos and his gang for almost the entire week. But right now, he just needed some company, and he was quite fond of Lissa-- however annoying she might be.
\"What ya working on?\"
Erick looked at the girl, taken aback once again by her beauty. And for a brief second he wondered what it would be like to be in a sexual relationship with her-- or anyone for that matter. He had never been in a relationship with a girl where they weren\'t just \'friends\'. He had never had time to think about such relationships; much less be in them. The only relationship in his life that had actually meant something for him was his relationship with Jessica. Jessica was beautiful, but he couldn\'t imagine himself being with her in THAT way. She was more like a sister to him; and any thoughts about Jessica as anything more than that, made him sick. However, Lissa was just as beautiful. But for some strange reason-- the thought of being anything else other than friends disturbed him. Hell the thought of having any sort of a relationship with women disturbed him. Sure, he would admit that they were beautiful. They appealed to him, they attracted him. But that was about it-- they were good to look at. He hadn\'t met any girl to attract him much more than that. And though he was curious as to what it might be like to be in a sexual relationship with her, he was sure he didn\'t want to find out. Not yet anyways...
He realized that Lissa was waiting for his response and he mentally shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts to focus on the talking girl in front of him....
\"Nothing much. I was just trying to work on some math. It\'s impossible though\". Erick responded.
\"You know that Carlos is worried about you...\" The girl said as she took a seat in front of Erick.
\"Why is that?\"
\"Because you\'ve been avoiding us\". Lissa looked him straight in the eyes.
Erick flinched at the accusation; what was he supposed to say to that? He couldn\'t deny it-- apparently it was obvious. But he couldn\'t just admit to it either....
\"What makes you think that?\"
\"Don\'t ask such stupid questions Erick. I might have only met you about three weeks ago, but you sure as hell weren\'t this distant when we met. You don\'t go to lunch. And when we try to talk to you....you find any excuse to leave. I\'ve called you like three times this week and you haven\'t answered. You know, Carlos really is worried about you...we all are...Bobby too\".
\"I\'m sorry...Its just that I\'ve been going through alot lately. I\'ve just needed time to think and kinda figure things out. Things have been shitty lately. And I just didn\'t want to cause you guys anymore trouble---\" He was cut off.
\"Oh...No NO NO NO...NONE of THAT! We\'re you\'re friends now Erick boy, you can count on us to try and help. We might not be the best friends in the world...but we care. And with the GGFF out there after us...we need to stick together\".
Erick smiled. She sounded sincere and honest. Her smile was inviting and warm, and in a way, he felt like he could believe her; but he knew better.
\"Are you OK?\" Lissa\'s eyes questioned him.
\" Yeah...its just...hard. I don\'t know, I guess I\'m being a bitch or something...But I just wish that things were different. I guess I miss my friends from back home\". He admitted honestly.....
\"Well stud, we\'re you\'re friends now\". Lissa insisted with a big bright smile.
Erick felt a sting of happiness at how sincere Lissa sounded. He knew that her statement was way over rated and it wasn\'t true. After all, being friends with someone was so much more than just simply saying it. But he wouldn\'t argue with the girl, even if she obviously didn\'t understand the meaning of the word \'friends\', he wouldn\'t take her joy away. He knew that in a way, she meant it. So for the girls sake (and for his own) he would not argue with her. He would push all thoughts of Jacob and the GGFF to the back of his mind. And he would enjoy the girls company; for he was quite fond of her. Even though he knew that the relationship with this girl was not as strong as the one he had with Jessica. He knew that this was the start of a new friendship.

A/N: Hey people I know this chapter took longer than all the rest, its because like I said in the last chapter, I had to write this one FROM SCRATCH. I only had an idea of what occured in the original chapter seven, Im lucky i read the story over again before my friend gave it to me! But I dont think its quite the same...Actually I only made sure that the fight occured to get both Jacob and ERick stirred up. In the original chapter, the one my friend wrote. When erick had been cought crying and feeling sorry for himself in the restroom, Jacob had walked up to him and hugged him trying to confort him. Thats all I remembered, frankly I thought that was way too mushy for Jacob, way too soon. Dont get me wrong...eventually things well get better for him (I hope). But Jacob is not the kind of guy that will just all of a sudden become mushy because he\'s attracted to you...or because you rise interest in him. So far Jacob doesnt even want to realize that he felt anything towards ERick. SO yeah, dont expect him mushy way tooo soon....
Anyways, please drop a comment, after all it really doesnt take too long to let me know what you think. You\'d do me a big favor...hehehe. I\'m rather nervous about this chapter cause its my first one on this story and all... I hope you guys liked it. I re-wrote it like a zillion times. I had posted one of my previous versions of this chapter on, but it was only on for a piriod of fifteen minutes and no more. I wasn\'t happy with it..so I worked with it some more..and walla..there you have it. Please let me know what you think!!! Anyways, next chapter will be faster (hopefully) Since its already written. I just have to work on it a bit and chage the details to my liking. Well, please review people and let me know whats going on in your head! Thanks!!! See ya next chapter!
