I am Me
You say you know who I am
And so I ask you
Tell me
Am I just a girl
With brown hair and eyes?
Tell me
Am I just another regular teen
That deals with stress every day?
Tell me
Am I one of those misguided kids
That does some kind of drug
Tell me
Am I some psychotic person
That should be locked up?
Tell me
Am I one of those geeks
Who is made fun of for being different
Tell me
Am I one of those jocks
Who everybody just seems to love
Tell me
Am I one of those prissy kids
Who thinks they know everything
Tell me
You can’t can you?
Cause You don’t really know
Who I am.
And as I sit here thinking
I smile softly to myself
Knowing exactly who I am
I am me
And no one else.
