It had been almost three years since Raquella had started her schooling, and with some help... okay, a lot, from home.
At one time, Lucilla had asked her wife, “Are you sure you’re the one that is going to school, or is it me?” then, she laughed.
Raquella finished her schooling and had gotten her residency at a hospital close to the house.
“Doctor Mommy! Doctor Mommy!” Summer had smiled happily, she was close to her fifth birthday.

“You have got to be kidding...” Raquella sighed as the alarm went off at two in the morning.
“Have a good first day at your residency.” Lucilla laughed.
“Hush you.” Raq laughed, “Tell the kids I am off this weekend, I am going to take them out.”
“Hmm hmm...” Lucilla rolled back over and snuggled into the covers.

“What kind of surprise Mommy?” Kessie said, she was doing her homework.
“Do you know what Mama wants with all of her heart?” Lucilla said, as Summer sat down, coloring with crayons.
“A baby!” Connor said, “She wants another baby!”
“Right! So... I have an idea...” Lucilla smiled, “I am going to go receive some of the eggs we had made a few years ago.”
“Mommy? Are YOU going to have a baby?” Connor asked.
“Baby?” Summer smiled, “Baby!”
“Yes, Summer...” Lucilla smiled, “Uncle Charlie will babysit you guys next Tuesday, I am going to the clinic in Quebec...”
“Uncle Charlie?” Connor smiled, he was doing his homework.
“Yes... but don’t tell Mama...” Lucilla shushed.
“Tell Mama what?” Kessie smiled.
“That’s my girl,” Lucilla smiled, “You may get a new ‘toy’ for your birthday!”
“I want a new pedestal! I want my own!” Kessie smiled.
“I want a scrying mirror!” Connor said.
“I want cauldron!” Summer said, she was drawing a unicorn.
“Now, now, I know what you guys want, trust me... you may get them for your birthdays, but keep your lips zipped!” Lucilla smiled, standing up to go make dinner.
“Hey Mommy?” Kessie said.
“Yes Kessie?”
“Is that baby going to a girl or a boy?” Kessie said.
“A girl...” Lucilla said, getting ready to saute some greens.
“Then I’ll STILL be the only boy?” Connor said.
“Yeah, but that means you will be spoilt!” Kessie said.
“Shush!” Connor glared at his sister.
“Both of you, quiet...” Lucilla said, “Do you guys want fish or chicken tonight?”
“Chicken.” Kessie said.
“Fish” Connor said.
“Chickie?” Summer looked up from her ‘homework.’
“Okay, chicken it is...” Lucilla smiled.
“Chickie! Chickie!” Summer jumped happily in her seat.

“We need a milliliter of trochilidae with saline stat.” Raquella was pushing her fortieth hour without sleep, she was wanted to rest. (Sounded cool)
“Raq? You alright?” A young nurse asked.
“Yeah... just tired...” Raq sighed.

Summer was laying down in her big girl bed for the night, “I love you Mommy. Tell Mama I love her too.”
“I love you Mommy!” Kessie said, her and Summer had shared a room.
Lucilla walked to Connor’s room and tucked him in, “Good night baby...”
“Night Mommy.”

Raquella sat in the cafeteria, eating a donut and drinking coffee. She just wanted to go home, tuck her babies in, and sleep next to her wife. She glanced up at the clock, it read eight fourteen. Her babies would already be tucked in for the night, their bedtime was eight on school nights.

Lucilla drove to Quebec for her insemination on the following Tuesday.
“Hello Doctor.” Lucilla said, shaking the man’s hand.
“Hello... where is Raquella?” The doctor remembered the women.
“She’s studying to become a doctor, she’s in her Residency at Peaceful Faith Hospital, close to our house.” Lucilla smiled, “This is sort of a surprise for her...”
“Oh... well, let me get you settled, and we will begin the insemination process.” The doctor smiled.
“Yes, and thank you Doctor.”
