The sickness has been welling up inside
I just sat and hoped it would subside
Now there\'s nothing the doctor can prescribe
I fear that soon, I will die.
All because of the troubles they put me through!
Since my adulthood, since my youth!
Feast your eyes, hypnotize,
Ignore the painful cries...

But I don\'t really care much!
I never liked you anyway!
It\'s simple when you think about it!
Since when has being different been a sin?
It\'s like if you don\'t like it,
Stomp on it!
And don\'t forget to rub it in.

There was no one else
To wipe my tears, no one to rid me
Of my most terrible fears.
I\'ve been cheated through all these years.
And now the sickness is here,
And there\'s nothing we can do about it now.
Different faces, different lies,
What do you do if your hated one dies?
It\'s too late to clean up your mess!

O-oh, who-oo-oo else was there
To help me stand on my two feet?
Still sinking, and I\'m already knee-deep.
Knee-deep.
Hush and do not make a peep,
It\'ll all be over soon...
Who was the one who always
looked me in the eye?
Who was the one would wipe my tears
Every time I would cry?
It was you!

But I don\'t really care much!
I never liked you anyway!
It\'s simple when you think about it!
Since when has being different been a sin?
It\'s like if you don\'t like it,
Stomp on it!
And don\'t forget to rub it in.

And don\'t forget to rub it in.
And don\'t forget to rub it in.

We all stopped at once. \"That was awesome!\" I said triumphantly, \"And I\'m glad I didn\'t have to do the screaming parts...\"

\"Well, it is a unique piece,\" Rion said, \"But what\'s it about? I get the feeling it gives off...and it\'s powerful! But what are we trying to express here?\"

\"It\'s about someone who\'s been rejected and bullied her entire life,\" I said thoughtfully, \"And has no one left, except for her loved one...well, that\'s what it seems like to me, anyway. It\'s just random words I jotted down.\"

\"Ah. Adrianah, can I talk to you for a second? In private?\"

I nodded awkwardly, and we walked into the next room - which was the kitchen - and I noticed that Rion looked concerned. \"Are you feeling okay?\" he asked.

\"Wha...?\" I said, \"Oh! I get it. No, I wasn\'t trying to express any of my own feelings in the song...like I said, it was just random. Honest.\'

Rion sighed. \"Okay...\" he said, still looking somewhat concerned. We were much closer now, almost nose to nose...

Both of us changed the position of our faces a bit, and kissed. At first, it was gentle, but it escalated, and soon Rion\'s arms were around my waist, and mine around his neck...

\"Excuse me...what the hell?\"

I nearly jumped a foot in the air. \"Ian!\" Rion cried angrily, \"What are you doing here?\"

\"It\'s been nearly five minutes,\" Ian explained, \"We\'re waiting! But, sheesh, that was unexpected...\"

And then we had to explain. I\'ll spare you the gory details.

\"Okay,\" Ian said, suddenly friendly, \"I\'ll keep your secret. But, R, remember not to have your hands down her pants too much. Adrianah, try to do the same.\"

And he walked out, smirking, with us following closely behind. Now that the group was gathered back together, we rehearsed the new song several more times, quickly and skillfully mastering it. Rachel did have a bit of trouble with the guitar - after all, she wasn\'t quite used to it - but in the end, she got better with it.

\"Well, it\'s excellent that we know it all now,\" Markus explained, \"Because our next show is on Saturday. There was a commercial and everything a while back...this song can be the last.\"

\"Just one song and it\'ll be everywhere,\" I muttered, \"This is the kind of stuff E! Entertainment throws in a feedbag and chews up, then spits out all twisted and mutated...\"

~~

The end of the show on Saturday finally arrived, and Rachel and I, the temporary new additions, came out on stage prepared to play Sickness Inside. We\'d been rehearsing really often, and we now knew the song like the back of our hands.

The whole time we were playing, I tried to block out the sights and noises of the crowd, which was acting surprisingly sane for a heavy metal concert. And when we finished, even though I\'m under the drinking age, I managed to persuade the bartender to sell me alchoholic beverages...

Maybe that\'s why I had too many beers, and ended up triggering the event that really filled up the media feedbag.
