Fallen Hero

Both Raven  and  Raine  listened  intently  as  Martel  explained  what  was  expected  of  them . He was impressed  with what Gadjet  had done and wanted to see Kickback  in action . First he though  he was curious  about  the techno wiz  . So he gave him a test . He wanted  to see if Gadjet  could  figure  out  a algorithm  that plagued  his people . Ready for a challenge , Gadjet  was  slightly  surprised  when he had a little  trouble  solving  it . In the end he cracked the  code and reformatted Martel s' system . He smirked  at him.

"You should  have  no problem  now . "

" I'm very  impressed . You will work with my people  then. "

Giving Raine  a smug look as the other rolled his eyes they moved to  a  room that looked  like  it was used for  training . Raine  gave Martel   a glance . 

"I want  to see how you can hold yourself  in a fight ."

As if on cue five men came through  another  door . 

"So who do I fight ?"

"All of them ."

Raven  frowned . "  That's  not fair . "

Martel  grinned . "He doesn't  have  to  do  this . You can leave anytime  you want . "

Knowing  that they might not get another  chance , Raine  shrugged . 

"Why not  okay ."

He walked  over to the men and  glanced at  them .

" Ready when  you  are . "

The men smirked  at each other  before they changed  Raine  . He flipped  over the first guy  as he grabbed  another and then kicked  the third one . Holding  on to the second   guy's  hand Raine  swung  him into the  fourth . Seeing  his comrades  struggling  with the smallest male , the fifth  man  eyed Raine  carefully .

"What's wrong ?  Can't  handle  little  Ole me ?"

Growling  the manager ran towards  Raine  and tackled  him to the floor .Worried Raven  was about to help when  he saw the  smaller male  tuck his  legs under the other male and kicked him off . Standing up he was grabbed from behind . Raine  struggled  to free himself   ,his arms pinned to his  side . One guy walked  up in front  of him , and Raine  used this opportunity  to relax  his body and then plant his feet on the man in front of  him . He used  the element  of  surprise and pushed him away as the man holding him lost his hold . Raine  turned  just in times to block  a punch  with his arm arm and then whipped  around  to kick him .

He looked to see all five men on the floor grunting  in pain.

"Heh ,I guess I'm a little  rusty." 

He walked back to Martel and Raven   ,whose  mouth hung open .

"I most definitely  have to keep you ."

This time Raine  gave Raven  a smug  look.

"You might wanna close your  mouth , Gadjet . "

Now that they were in all Raven  had to do was wait for his virus  to do its  job . Once it gathered  the information  it was programed to do  , would  let him know . Meanwhile  both Raven  and Raine  would  have to be careful .

Days later Raven sat at a desk as he was  downloading  the information  his virus  had gathered . As he was reading  the screen one of Martels  men  appeared . 

"What  are  you  doing ? "

Hiding his surprise  Raven  tried  to  look nonchalant . 

"The boss wants  me  to do a system  check . Some of the pass codes aren't working  right."

Seemingly  convinced ,  the man went about  his way . A beeping  caught  his attention  and the blonde took out the flash drive . Putting  it  in his pocket  he let to find Raine . Said male was  in a room playing  a game on his  phone .

"I got it ."

Raine paused  the game to listen .

"Already ?  That was fast . "

"We have enough evidence .  Now we need to go . If Martel  finds out ...well we gotta go before  he does . "

Raine   grinned as he got up and they both walked down the hallway . 

******************************************************************************************** "So you two expect  me to believe  this ? No one has been able to get close enough  to  Kevin  Martel , but you have ?"

Agent Harris  sat back as he looked at  Raven  and Raine . These two young men said they  had something  to show him he let them talk because  he wanted  to see what  they had . 

" It's  true ! We have evidence . "

Raven  took out the flash drive  and handed it  over to the agent . 

"That haves all the evidence  you need to put Kevin  Martel  away for a long time . Just look at it ." 

Agent  Harris  frowned  as he took the flash drive .

"Okay ,I'll look  at it , but if this legit ,how did you get it ?"

"Gadjet  gave it to us . He wanted it to be handed over  to  the  right people . You see ,he went undercover  to get the information . "

Harris looked at the pair suspiciously . 

"You realize that  a lot  of  people  want Martel  in jail ."

They both nodded . 

Standing outside  of  the  building  both were silent  for a while  then Raven spoke . 

" We did it . "

"I can't believe  it. Are you sure Harris  was the right man to hand over  the flash drive  to?  What if he's crooked ? "

"I have a backup .  But he's good . Any ways uh now that this is over ,what are planning  on doing ? "

" I think I'll concentrate  on  my  studies . "

"Sounds like a good idea . So yeah , it's been fun ."

Feeling somehow  hurt bye his words Raine  merely  nodded  before  leaving. Raven watched  the smaller male go . This didn't feel right ,  he had grown  to really  like Raine .

Thanks to Raven  and Raine , Kevin  Martel  was given the maximum  sentence ., he didn't  know  what  hit him . Or  who had set him up . His entire  empire  had crumbled  before  his  eyes.

Raine  sighed as he stared  at the books he was trying  to read . He couldn't  concentrate  on the words. It had been several months since he'd seen Raven . He should be happy , but instead  he was miserable . He missed him , missed their  talks , the way he listened to him , his touch  ,everything  about him. Raine knew though that nothing could  come of their relationship . If anything Raine  would be hurt  , and he respected  himself  enough  to  realize  that. Still it hurt. A knock at the door started  him out his thoughts . He went to answer  the  door. 

"Raven ?"

"Hi . Can I come in  ?"

Raine  opened  the door  wider and let the blonde in .

" So what   brings  you here ?" 

" I wanted to talk to you ." 

"What's  wrong ?  "  

"I...we never got around to finishing  our agreement . Well that and I wanted to see you . How have you been doing ?" 

Raines   heart sank at hearing that . So he just wanted a body  to screw . That wasn't  going to be him .

"No we didn't  finish  it . I've been  okay . Keeping  busy  with  my studies . "

Moving closer  to  Raine , Raven  bent  to kiss him , but the other male turned  his head away .

"Raven , please  no. I won't be your  screw toy . So if that's all all you came here  for  then please  leave."

"But I seem to remember  that  you  liked being with me."

Raine  backed away  from  the  blonde  and looked at him .

" Is that all I am to you? Because  if  that's  all then you should go find you  another  play thing  . I have  too much self respect  to lower myself  like that ."

Shocked by his words Raven  stared at the smaller  male . 

"Little  one ,I ..."

"Please  go ,Raven . I don't want to hate myself . " 

Going to the door the blonde  paused . 

"No .I won't let you go . "

"Raven , I .."

"You're  not  a play thing .  I've missed you so much that it hurts! I want you ."

Raine  closed his eyes as those words threatened  to we

aken  his  resolve . He just couldn't  let himself  be swayed by Raven . Suddenly he gasped  as he felt strong   ,but gentle  arms wrap  around  him. He opened  his  eyes  to see the blonde looking at him with  torment .

"I want you  ,little   one.  And  not as someone  to  screw .  "

"Don't say anything  you don't  mean . I can't...I can't do this . "

Raine  felt a hand under his chin as he glanced  at the with tears  brimming  his eyes .

"Then don't . I'm not asking for you to be a piece  of ass . I want to give us a try. See were we go from here. If we don't work  out  then at least we tried. Please ."

His resolve  getting weaker  ,Raine   sighed . 

"I don't want to be hurt . "

"Neither  do I ."

Raven  bent his head and gave Raine  a long slow kiss before he placed his forehead  on the smaller male . 

"I've mixed you so much , the sound of your voice  , the feel of your  skin, but most of all I missed  you ,little one ."

Raines heart melted hearing that . He smiled as he  reached up and kissed the blonde . They  went to the bedroom  as clothes  began to litter  the floor . Raven  layer Raine   out and took a moment  to   look at the beautiful  body displayed  for him . The blonde  lifted  a creamy  leg and kissed a trail to a quivering  thigh .
