The centaur sighed softly, his arms enclosing the small little body clinging to him. It felt right having her there, as if he had been waiting for this to happen for some time, and just not realizing it. Ziggory was slowly wedging himself out of the mess, examining the ceiling with a bit of apprehension. The dragon stretched his wings out, flinging bits of debris off. He pulled the traumatized nymph out of the wreckage and set her down on her feet, where she hugged herself, eyes still wide and unblinking. He sniffed, looking around with curiosity. "Oh dear...it seems we interrupted a dinner of some sort". Saturn closed her eyes, then opened them and looked up at the male holding her close. It was a lot different then hugging her doll. While the doll Braxton brought her small comforts, something about being touched by the real one made the doll versions seem trivial. She stepped back, noting his look of reluctance as she moved out of arms reach, and looked around herself.
Indeed, they had clearly crashed in on some sort of banquet. Elves, Centaurs, and many others were still staring at them, many gazing up in wonder at Ziggory, who was checking to make sure nothing in his large frame had been broken. She stared down at her shoes for a moment, then shifted uncomfortably. After a few more intense seconds of silence, a voice suddenly roared out", WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!" Saturn peered around Braxton and those in front of her at the speaker. A man sat at the head of a long table, one of which many had taken refuge under. Saturn didn't quiet recognize him as someone she had seen before, but by the looks of it...this was the ruler of Tu'Burg castle. King Simmonel, and next to him, his wife and queen, Marisol. The kings face was a blotchy red after his outburst. She opened her mouth to reply, but Ziggory suddenly wrapped his tail around her middle, pulling her back against him. He bowed his head, soft plumes of smoke now emitting from his nostrils and drifting lazily up through the hole in the roof. "Forgive us your Highness...our fall was a mere miscalculation on my part." The king eyed him. "Dragon...what is the meaning of this?" Ziggory glanced down at Saturn, then turned his attention back to the man. "Again, forgiveness is requested your majesty...we had just escaped from an imprisonment camp"...a collective gasp went around the room at this remark. Braxton and Akil stiffened, as did many of the other seated or standing warriors. They had been certain most of the imprisonment camps had been taken care of. Ziggory took note of the reaction and continued. "I have been kept in containment for much longer then either of my companions here...when we escaped I did not gauge my flying abilities as well as I should have. I just happened to be flying over your home on my way to the mountains when I lost altitude and, unfortunately, crashed into your...ah...banquet hall." The king eyed them, clearly thinking over what the red dragon had said.
Ziggory traced a claw down Saturn's spine, silently telling her to remain quiet and not say anything as of yet. Finally, the man seemed to accept their explanation. "An imprisonment camp you say then?"he asked after a moment. Ziggory nodded. "Yes your Highness...in the former Ruslic Castle ruins...a band of trolls have been collecting and trading mythical creatures to the other side.I believe the leader is called.." "Hoggard",Saturn croaked, her throat feeling dry. Ziggory glanced at her again, then nodded slowly. "Yes...Hoggard..." King Simmonel nodded, then looked around. "Marcus, Barred..." Two centaurs came forward and bowed as low as their horse parts would allow. "Yes my lord?" "Your Highness has requested us?" The rolled his eyes and nodded. "Of course...take two or three patrols out to the Ruslic ruins and flush out these trolls. Inform them of their charges, release any they may have captured, try to track down any in transport, and bring them justice." The centaurs bowed again and walked out. The king then turned his attention back to the three in front of him. Ziggory was still smoking faintly from the nose, exchanging silently heated words with Saturn, while Esephle had sat and begin to rock back and forth. Simmonel cleared his throat loudly, and both Dragon and girl looked at him. "I suppose, Dragon, that you would wish to continue on to the mountains?" Ziggory nodded. "Yes Highness, I would indeed like to return to my home...at least to make sure all is in order. My companions here, may do as they please, but with permission, I would like to return to check in on them when I have settled my home once more". The king considered this request, and leaned over to listen to something his wife told him. Saturn was a little disturbed by how the Queen's icy blue gaze had yet to leave her face. The king nodded once then looked back at the Dragon. "I will grant your request, on the concept that you refrain from flying over our home in the future...as for your companions, the Nymph is free to return to her daily life, while the other..." His look fell on Saturn and she froze. 'Damn...' "We have never seen her kind before....tell me young woman...what are you exactly, and from hence do you hail?"
Saturn stared, unsure of how to respond. Luckily for her, Braxton suddenly stood in front of her, bowing low. "Forgive me sire, but this is Saturn, and she hails from a place called L.A. She is here visiting me...for study." She stared up at the large gelding, who smiled faintly down at her. In the corner, Harlow huffed angrily, watching the little Nymph in annoyance. "She is a Nymph of great desirability in the ways of scholaring, amongst other things...she merely slipped my watch and was obviously captured then. I would like to request she receive rooms next to mine..if possible". The male couldn't help but grin to himself, on the inside anyway. The king thought this over, then sighed softly, rubbing his temples. "If you feel such a thing is necessary to keep her from the hands of our enemies, then so be it...but I do not wish to have any more Dragons falling in upon my head." He looked around. "Well...since our Banquet hall will now be needing repairs, I suppose we may just continue this dinner on another night." He looked at his wife, who was still staring intently at Saturn. After a moment, she gave a little nod, then stood. Everyone waited until the royal couple had disappeared before setting about finishing their daily tasks, filing out of the room, talking loudly amongst themselves. Saturn let out a soft sigh, and rubbed her face. She suddenly realized just how tired she was. Braxton rested a hand on her shoulder and she peered up at him. "When you are done saying your goodbyes to your friends, I will show you to your new rooms." He gave her shoulder a squeeze then walked over to join Akil, who was waiting patiently by the door. The blonde centaur gave Saturn a long look before following his larger companion out through the doors. SHe stared after them for a second, then turned her attention to the Dragon and Nymph.
Ziggory bent his head down, rubbing it against her chest affectionately. "My...this was quiet a day". He looked down at her and smiled. She returned his smile with one of her own. "Your going to come back right?" She didn't really know why, but she felt safe with the dragon. He nodded. "Yes..I will return once I have made my home presentable, and have discussed with the other dragons ways to keep trolls from taking anymore of us. In the meantime, here.." He held something out to her. SHe stared down at the scale, awed by how vibrant it seemed, even covered in dust. "Oh...Ziggory..." He shrugged. "I lost a few when we landed...their small ones so it is not that big of an issue...but I want you to keep it. Much like the Griffins whistle allows you to summon him, you can talk to me with that, Like a crystal ball". He touched her hair with a claw gently. "I will return to see how you are fairing my dear Saturn...our adventures together are not yet over...I can tell". He gave her head one last pat, before reaching up, and pulling himself through the hole he had created when he fell in. They heard his claws skittering on the rooftop shingles, then his wings snapping open. Saturn watched as he hovered over the hole, nodded to her, and then begin to climb the air, climbing higher and higher, until soon, she could barely see him.
A soft cough turned her attention to Esephle, who was staring at her feet. SHe couldn't help herself, and went and hugged the nymph, who blinked, startled, then timidly hugged her back. "Well...I guess..I wont ever see you again?" Saturn smiled faintly. "No..you'll see me again Esephle...I promise...I'll come see you everyday" The nymph seemed cheered by this then looked at the girl enviously. "Gosh, your so lucky...getting a room right next to Sir Braxtons..." Saturn felt herself turn pink. "Im sure it wont be all that great", she mumbled. "His friend mentioned he's never even in his room, and when he is its mostly just to change clothing." "Yea..but still...". The nymph sighed, then hugged Saturn again tightly. "Oh, Im going to miss you..even if we have only known each other for a day or so" She pulled back and smiled. "Tomorrow I will expect full details". She gave her one last hug, and walked out, passing Braxton and Akil on the way. The centaurs looked annoyed, but Braxton approached her with as much flourish as he had before. "Are you ready to be shown your living quarters then my lady?" Saturn glanced around, then sighed inwardly and nodded. "Yes...yes I suppose I am..." Braxton bowed, and led her out, leaving Akil to bring up the rear, something the Blonde seemed a bit reluctant to do. Saturn momentarily wondered if this was perhaps the smartest thing she had ever done..then decided, that it was as smart as smart could get in a magical world where everyone thought you were something else.
