Chapter Six:
Dara stared at the table which was slowly being filled with many varieties of food. “What do you think?” he heard Vasile ask him.
“I don't think it would matter very much what I think,” replied Dara.
The servant boy was about to fill Dara’s plate when Vasile waved him away and ordered all the other servants out of the room. He then filled Dara’s plate himself. It was a quiet meal once they started eating. If Dara didn't know any better, he would have thought that the dragon lord was trying to fatten him up. Whenever he finished the food on his plate, the damn man filled it up again with another kind of food. Not one to waste food, Dara had no choice but to eat it.
When the desserts were brought in next, Vasile again filled his plate up for him, putting one of each delicious looking pastry on the plate. Dara once more ate everything on his plate. When all the food was eaten, the servants took the empty plates and the tray back. They were now alone in Vasile’s chamber.
Dara stood up from his seat and walked over to the window. He opened it to allow the breeze in. He breathed in the fresh air as he gazed outside at the red and orange sky. He wondered how long it would take for him to reach his town on foot.
“It would take you five to ten years to reach your town on foot,” Vasile said when he read the boy’s thoughts. “You should just give up on trying to escape from me boy, it is useless,” he added as he came up behind Dara.
“Give up? Not bloody likely!” Dara snorted. Vasile’s right hand reached towards him immediately. Dara’s first instinct was to slap the man’s hand away, but he didn't. He watched Vasile caress his long hair between his fingers. He was mesmerized for a moment. “Your hair is softer than silk. Is your skin the same as well?” he heard Vasile ask softly.
“You will never know dragon man!” Dara slapped the man’s hand away.
“You know Dara, you are like the stars in the sky. So beautiful and hard to reach,” remarked Vasile.
“And you are the rabbit that is trying desperately to reach for the stars in the sky,” Dara commented.
Vasile chuckled softly, “True, I am the rabbit trying desperately to catch you Dara, and you are the stars shining brightly in the sky.”
“Do you have any idea how lame you sound?” Dara commented. Then he walked over to the big door. He gave it a knock, and Sasha opened it for him. “If you want to seduce me into your bed, you are going to have to do a better job than that Vasile,” he said with a mocking smirk on his lips. He stepped out of the room and followed Sasha back to the chamber in the silver wing.
Vasile crossed his arms in front of him and leaned sideways against the door. He watched Dara walk from the door to his chamber, his eyes lingering on Dara’s bottom. Damn, he needed to try harder if he wanted what was underneath those clothes, he thought as he watched Dara.
“You are drooling Vasile,” he heard his father say as he came toward him. “If you want him that much, why don't you just take him already and get it over with Vasile?” his father added.
“I want him to want me Father. I want his first experience to be something that he will remember for life. Forcing myself on him is not going to accomplish that,” Vasile replied to his father.
“Nonsense,” said his father. “If you want him just take him. He is just a weak human.”
“Then why didn't you just take Christian and get it over with Father?” Vasile remarked with a smirk.
“Mind your own business Vasile,” his father told him off in an angry tone.
“I will if you will,” said Vasile to his father. Then he walked into his room and closed the door on his father.

Dara was wakened from his sleep early the next morning by none other than Sasha. He forced his eyes open to find Sasha staring down at him with a frown like usual. “Get up boy. Master wants you to join him for the morning meal,” Sasha said.
“I'm not going,” said Dara.
“What I'm I supposed to tell him then?” Sasha sighed.
“Tell him that I fell into the river and drowned for all I care,” replied Dara.
“Don't be stupid boy, you know very well that you have--” Sasha didn't get to finish.
“No choice,” Dara finished for him. “He will have to carry me this time, and if he dares to lay his hands on me, I will make sure to give him a black eye and a good kick to the crotch too!” he added. Then he went back to sleep. Who in their right mind would wake up at five in the morning, he thought right before he fell back to sleep.
Sasha had no choice but to get his master and tell him everything. Vasile was amused and not at all surprised to hear that the boy refused to join him for the morning meal. He entered the chamber in the silver wing and headed straight to Dara’s bed. He ignored all the boys who were trying to get his attention. Dara was sound asleep in his bed, without a care in the world. Vasile stood by the bed watching the boy sleep for a moment before he carefully scooped him up into his arms and carried him to his bed chamber.
Dara woke up two hours later. His eyes fluttered open. He reacted right away when he realized that he was no longer in his bed in the silver wing. Instead he was lying in Vasile’s bed. He sat up right away. How the hell did he get here, he thought.
“I carried you here like you asked me to,” Vasile answered his question.
Only after he heard the man’s voice did he realize that Vasile was in the room, sitting in the same spot as last night when they had dinner together. The man was watching him with a smug smile on his face.
“It’s about time you woke up boy,” Vasile said right before Dara leapt off the bed and came charging at him. Giving him little time to react, Dara true to his word, gave Vasile a black eye and a good kick to the crotch. His kick was so strong that Vasile completely turned white just from the pain he received from the kick.
“I warned you didn't I that I would give you a black eye and a good kick to the crotch if you dared lay your hands on me,” snapped Dara.
“Damn boy, you really don't show any mercy do you?” Vasile murmured in pain.
“Huh? Why should I show you any mercy? You asked for it. You knew the consequences already but you still chose to lay your hands on me. If you want my opinion, I would say that you deserve every bit of pain right now,” Dara sneered at Vasile.
“They both turned toward the door when they heard it being opened. Sasha stepped inside with the morning meal. He dropped everything when he saw his master on the floor, and rushed over to his side. “Boy what did you do this time?” he shouted at Dara.
“Just what I said I would do if he put his hands on me,” Dara replied with a shrug of his shoulder.
“Master, do you want him punished?” Sasha asked his master.
Vasile shook his head. Sasha sighed. He helped his master up and carried him to the bed. “I will return with your morning meal,” he told Vasile before he left the chamber to do just that.
Dara remained standing where he was. “Does it really hurt that much?” he asked with a bit of curiosity.
“You have to experience it yourself boy to know how painful it is to get kicked right in the crotch,” replied Vasile as he lay down on his big bed with his arms spread wide open on each side of him.
Dara sat down on the chair in front of him, and they both waited for Sasha to return. Sasha was on his way to his master’s chamber with a new tray filled with food for his master and the boy, when he was stopped by Christian.
“Sasha, do you have a minute? I would like to ask you a few questions,” Christian said.
“What do you want to ask?” Sasha asked Christian.
“That boy with you, what is his name?” asked Christian.
“The boy with me yesterday? His name is Dara. he is the newest addition to the master’s harem.” replied Sasha.
“Do you know who his parents are?” asked Christian.
“As far as I know, his mother has already passed away. He was living with his uncle when master and I found him,” replied Sasha. “Anything else?” Sasha asked Christian.
“Yes. Do you happened to know his mother and uncle’s names?” Christian asked.
“I don't know his mother’s name, but I seem to recall the town chief calling his uncle by the name Keelan,” replied Sasha. “Is there anything else you want to know sir? If not, I need to get going,” he said.
Christian shook his head and Sasha continued on to his master’s chamber with the tray filled with food. He wondered why Christian asked him all those question about the boy. He was surprised to find his master still on the bed and the boy quietly sitting on the chair at the table eating a juicy red plum from the fruit bowl. Sasha entered the chamber and placed the tray of food on the table where Dara sat.
Vasile got up from the bed and made his way over to the table. He sat down and began eating his morning meal. Dara did the same after he finished the plum. Sasha stood to the side and watched the two. He was going to miss this atmosphere, he thought as he watched the two before him.
“Why aren't you sitting down?” Dara asked when he noticed Sasha still standing.
“I'm a servant,” replied Sasha.
Dara glared up at Vasile. “You know servants are people too. It is bad manners too let him stand there and watch us eat,” he remarked.
“You didn't say anything last night, why now?” Vasile asked with a challenging smile on his lips.
“Maybe because they didn't stick around long enough for me to say anything,” Dara retorted. He remembered the servants having to leave because the damn man wanted to fatten him up.
“Sasha, sit down and join us,” Vasile ordered. Sasha complied right away.
“So what took you so long?” Vasile asked Sasha right before he took a long sip of his water.
“Sorry master, I was stopped by Christian. He wanted to ask me a few questions,” replied Sasha.
“What did he want to know?” asked Vasile as he put the half empty glass of water back down on the table.
Sasha looked over at Dara before answering. “He wanted to know how I was doing,” he lied to his master. He liked Christian very much, and he did not want Christian to get in trouble with the master’s father if the master decided to tell on Christian.
“I see, he has always liked you Sasha. I remember him always saying how he thought of you like a son,” said Vasile.
“Yes Master, and I also think of him like a father.”
“I know. That is why I am not surprised that you would lie to save him.” Vasile made it known that he already knew that Sasha had just lied to him. He stood up from the chair and left the room, leaving Sasha alone with Dara.
“I don't know how you put up with him,” Dara commented.
“You just get used to it,” said Sasha, and to his surprise, Dara burst out in laughter.
