Thank you very much for the reviews and I realize now that not everyone is familiar with the term yakuza. The yakuza are similar in nature to the Italian mafia in that they are an organized crime group that is prevalent in Japan. I am sorry for not making this more clear and will attempt to address this when I do my final rewrites. Any and all reviews are appreciated. If you would like e-mail updates please let me know.
Ruka was bored of waiting. What was taking Daisuike so long? Did he leave? The slight fear crept up inside him and he immediately wanted to find him. Getting up he headed towards the back door Daisuike had left through, nauseated. He wasn't sure what he would do if Daisuike wasn't there.
Opening the door he blurted, "Suke? Are you-"
His eyes widened his voice trailing off seeing Daisuike kneeling apparently in pain as two men stood over him. Big men.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?!" He wasn't about to let Daisuike get hurt, not while he promised to be there for him.
“Ruka don’t-“ Daisuike winced as Chad grabbed his hair yanking his head back. Chad smirked looking from Ruka down at Daisuike. Still holding his hair he hauled him up pressing him back against the wall.
"Looks like your friend from the other night is back, Kobayashi. How convenient." Chad gestured to the other man as he quietly spoke into the mic hidden in his collar. Two more men appeared at the end of the alley moving toward them. Chad's partner moved to intercept Ruka a sneer on his face.
Daisuike glared at the man holding him not daring to look at Ruka. He didn't want him out here, not now. It would ruin everything. He lashed out hoping to catch him off guard only to have his punch blocked by a forearm. Chad slammed Daisuike against the wall again his icy blue eyes boring into him.
"Don't make me have to get rough with you. Just tell me what I need to know."
"Go fuck yourself, or better yet let one of your guys do it." There was no way Daisuike was going to tell them anything. Not without a warrant of some kind. He didn’t even know why they wanted to know. There wasn’t anything at the warehouses.
Chad shook his head looking away for a moment before turning back and punching him, letting him fall to the ground. "Wrong answer Daisuike."
Ruka glared at the men trying to not look intimidated by their size. He wasn't about to let them hurt Daisuike, not if he could help it.
"Just fucking back off. I don't care who you think you are, but I'm not going to let you hurt him."
Ruka didn't give them a chance to answer, lashing out hitting the nearest guy in the face as hard as he could. Jumping back he shook his hand. That hurt! Sparing a glance at his hand he saw blood on his rings and sighed. He hated to fight but he'd do it to protect Daisuike.
"You've messed with the wrong guy!"
Daisuike pushed himself up his head ringing, the bitter metallic taste of blood filling his mouth. Chad definitely wasn’t pulling his punches and probably had a good fifty pounds on him. Hearing a scuffle he looked up his eyes widening as he realized Ruka was trying to fight the guys. He scrambled to his feet. The last thing he wanted was for Ruka to get arrested because of him. He got between Ruka and the other two men.
"Don't . . . please. I don't want you getting hurt."
Ruka stared at Daisuike, blood was trickling down his chin, his eyes nearly hidden behind his hair. There was a strange gleam to them that sent a shiver through Ruka. He looked passed Daisuike hearing a low chuckle. Chad was shaking his head looking at them.
"You know Sakata-kun, you should really be more careful who you decide to associate with." Chad raised his voice over Daisuike's protests, brandishing the tazer when he got close. "You should know that your-what ever he is-is a rather infamous yakuza enforcer. Hell, just the name Kobayashi Daisuike is enough to make some men shit their pants. Isn't that right Kobayashi-kun? So why hang out with this okama, ne Suke? He doesn't seem like your type."
Daisuike glared at Chad, shaking with fury, "You don't know shit."
"Oh really? Well how about I beat your boyfriend here and see if that helps you remember where those warehouses are."
"Like to see you fucking try it asshole!" Ruka turned his head towards Daisuike a playful smile on his lips. He turned back to face the other men. "You're worth getting hurt over. And didn't I say I didn't care who you were? You being yakuza means little to me so just get ready to fight and we'll go back to our booth and enjoy our time together." Ruka smirked as one of the men approached him.
Trying to remember everything he had learned from Aikido, Ruka grabbed the man as he came closer flipping him then sending a punch to his face. Quickly moving away he kept himself ready watching everyone.
Daisuike watched Ruka shocked to say the least. He really didn't care that he was yakuza and he was willing to get himself hurt helping him. That thought was almost too much for Daisuike. Other than his brothers, he'd never had anyone stand up for him and it was a very odd feeling. No matter what Ruka said though, he did not want him getting hurt. Ruka probably came from a respectable family and Daisuike didn't want to cause him any problems.
Fujimaru stood back in the shadows, the only indication he was there the occasional red flare as he took a drag on his cigarette. He watched as Daisuike squared off against the men. With an amused grunt he saw them pause a knife suddenly appearing in Daisuike’s hand. The boy was dangerous, out right deadly really. He’d seen him nail a guy in the forehead from twenty feet with one of his knives. No one had even seen him draw it.
He had to wonder how his former student was going to handle this situation though. Four on two with the odds very much in the favor of the other men. The flash of steel caught Chad's attention, making him pause and Fujimaru narrowed his eyes. The man better not flake out on him now. This all had to go according to plan or the Fudoka would be on his ass.
"You really want to see how I work Chad? You should have known better than to have hired Fudoka thugs to help you. I might have cooperated otherwise, but this just shows me how stupid you really are.”
Fujimaru raised an eyebrow as he tossed his cigarette down crushing the butt under his heel. So the brat had been paying attention. That might make things a bit harder.
Ruka saw Daisuike pull the knife and wondered just how dangerous he really was. Yakuza or not he honestly didn't care. He had found someone he felt connected with and he wasn't letting him go that easily.
Moving to the side he watched one of them approach him and he circled keeping out of his reach. If he was grabbed he was done for. Watching the man's movements he then blocked a punch directed at his face throwing the guy away from him. He was starting to breathe a little hard, having not done this in a few years. Fighting wasn't his thing but these guys were stupid. Real stupid.
"Stop right there." Chad leveled the gun at Daisuike.
Daisuike paused his eyes narrowing. Trust some foreigner to have gun. "What? Can't fight me man to man Chad?"
"I don't have too. You are going to drop your knife and your buddy is going to go back inside. I really dislike having to fill out all the paperwork involved with firing my weapon but I will gladly make an exception in your case."
Daisuike thought for a moment. It wasn't worth the risk, to him or to Ruka. Straightening he tossed the knife away, his eyes not leaving Chad. "Go on inside Ruka, I'll be back in just a few minutes."
Ruka stopped feeling the blood drain from his face. This was dangerous. Really really dangerous. Clenching his fist he was torn. He couldn't just leave Daisuike there by himself, but he didn't have any choice. That's when he got the idea.
Slowly nodding he stepped back. "Okay. . . Just don't shoot." He looked one last time at Daisuike before moving towards the door. As soon as he was through the door he rushed to find the bouncers his heart feeling like it was trying to leap out of his throat.
Chad gestured to the two Fudoka thugs who immediately followed Ruka inisde.
"Wait, what are they doing." Daisuike felt panic rise in him.
"They are just going to keep an eye on Sakata. If you cooperate I'll make sure they don't hurt him . . . too much. Though if there is as much animosity between your clans as there seems to be I wouldn't bet on them keeping their hands to themselves for long."
"You can't-" Daisiuke gasped going to one knee as Chad tazered him again.
"I can do whatever I want. You are a worthless piece of shit and no one is going to care what I do to you. I'll make sure that all the blame for Sakata's beating lands squarely on you. Now, where is the warehouse." When Daisuike didn't answer fast enough Chad grabbed his hair yanking his head back. "Do you really want me to have Sakata arrested as your accomplice?"
"No! Don't!" Daisuike felt sick. How could he choose between his clan and Ruka? Even if he'd just met him he couldn't put him thought that. It wasn't fair. He closed his eyes for a moment, his whole body hurting. "Fine. I'll tell you. Just leave Ruka alone."
Ruka felt sick as he spoke to the bouncer and as he moved away from him he spotted two of the guys from outside. He immediately tried to find another bouncer but was instantly surrounded and backed towards a wall by them.
"You know, you're pretty cute for a boy."
"Wonder what Kobayashi saw in him."
"Hmm, maybe he's good for a decent blowjob."
Ruka's eyes narrowed listening to these guys. He wasn't about to let them touch him or hurt him.
"You better keep your hands to yourselves. Just back off."
They both laughed. Seeing an opening Ruka rushing the closer one punching him. He fell almost taking the other guy with him. Bouncers were already heading over and that's when he knew things would be decently okay.
"There that wasn't so hard was it?" Chad smirked at him.
Daisuike was silent as he got to his feet watching the tazer warily. He was starting to hurt all over and he felt sick. He really just wanted to go inside find Ruka and make sure he was alright. He backed up as Chad came toward him, flinching as Chad let the tazer crackle without actually touching him. He grabbed for the door only to have Chad slam it back shut leaning close.
"If I find out you lied to me, I'll make sure that you never see the light of day again."
Daisuike watched them leave for a moment before rushing inside. He had to find Ruka and they had to leave. Chad was going to be livid when he realized the warehouses were empty and had been for months.
Ruka was softly speaking to the bouncers when he saw Daisuike trying to make his way through the crowds.
"Daisuike!" He pushed past the bouncers running toward him. Ruka grabbed him checking him over, making sure he was okay. He was bruised, his lip and a cut over his eye bleeding but overall looked okay, though there was panic in his eyes.
"Come on. We're leaving." He had to get them out of there. He’d realized something once he’d got back in the club. The big foreigner had used his full name. He hadn’t even told Daisuike his full name yet. If they knew who he was that meant his apartment was probably being watched. Biting his lip he waved to the bouncers and headed out to his car.
"That was Yakuza business wasn't it."
"Ano . . . kind of. The big guy is Interpol. For some reason they think my family is involved in smuggling of some kind. I kind of lied to get away from him." Daisuike was needing a drink. Badly. He was shaking and felt sick. He was aching all over from the tazer and was beginning to get a headache. He finally looked up at Ruka, scared to meet his eyes. He was surprised the other man was still waiting for him. "I'm so, so sorry Ruka. I had no idea they were coming after me."
"Don't worry about it Ouji-sama." Ruka smiled at Daisuike as they got into his car. He peeled out of the parking lot enjoying the rush of driving. He wasn't sure where they were going to go, but he wanted to drink and just relax and maybe indulge in Daisuike.
"We're going to a Love Hotel. I'm not sure if they're watching me or not. And what do you mean you lied? Do you need to call anyone?"
Daisuike laid his head back on the headrest, his eyes closed. Ruka's driving was going to make him sick. "I had to tell him something or he was going to hurt you. I wasn't going to let that happen and I wasn't going to tell them where Jiro is. He's somewhere safe. I'll call Hayate when we . . . wait did you say Love Hotel?"
"Yeah? It's cheap and they don't ask for names or anything. It's very discreet and they don't really let cops around. Too many high politicians go to them."
He laughed a bit, "So what kind of room do you want?" He smirked glancing at Daisuike noticing the slight green tint to his face and decided to slow down a bit. Maybe pushing 80 was a bad idea on these city streets.
Daisuike glanced over at him. "What do you mean? Aren't all the rooms the same?"
Right now he would settle for something with just a bed. Although he was wanting to drink a bit to help take the edge off the pain. Stupid cops and their tazers.
Ruka blinked, then blinked again and then busted out laughing. It was a horrible thing to be doing but it was entirely too cute. Daisuike was far too innocent about some things and it made him a bit anxious to be doing things with him since he was so new to- well everything.
"No, absolutely not. They have themed rooms equipped with everything anyone could ever need. They also have video game systems as well as karaoke. Is there anything special you'd like? I mean it has everything from BDSM to hospital rooms." Though a normal bed would suit Ruka at this point. The idea that he was taking Daisuike to a hotel and might not do anything with him bothered him because he desperately wanted to touch that beautiful body.
Daisuike knew Ruka was laughing at him but it didn't really bother him. It was a nice laugh. He just wasn't sure he wanted to try out any of the rooms Ruka mentioned. He’d have to find out what a BDSM room was, it didn’t sound very pleasant. Just the fact that they were going to a Love Hotel gave him a funny feeling in the pit of his stomach.
"Ano . . . I-I don't care. I just really want something hard to drink and maybe a tub to soak in. Those tazers suck."
Ruka's laughter died quickly a sick feeling settling in his stomach. He hadn’t known that Daisuike had been tazered. It bothered him to no end and he wasn't sure what to do about it.
"Not a problem. I'll get a nice room and you can soak all you want." He smiled at him trying to get control of the jitters that were setting in now that the adrenaline high had worn off. Though he was starting to get jitters of an entirely different kind. "I'll even get food for us if you want. I don't think they'll have anything there but we can stop somewhere and find something to eat if you want."
"Just some alcohol will be fine right now. It helps. Ano . . . I don't usually eat out, but if there is something you want go ahead and get it." Daisuike smiled at him. It made him happy to know that he had someone backing him up. He just couldn't forget to call Hayate in a bit and let him know what had happened. He would probably need to lay low for several days actually. Hopefully Ruka didn't mind.
Ruka nodded, "Not really hungry. Not after all that." The smile was still on his lips and he pulled his car to a parking place getting out. Opening Daisuike's door for him, he bowed as he helped him out smiling at him. As he shut and locked the door he kissed him softly before leading him into the hole in the wall place. He’d been here a couple of time before and knew the rooms would be clean. It wouldn’t be the first time he’d met someone and ended up here before the night was over either. Things felt different with Daisuike though and he was determined to keep his urges under control. From what he’d seen Daisuike could probably beat him senseless before he even had a chance to do anything stupid anyway.
