Reviews, reviews reviews! Let's take a moment to answer reviews before starting the chapter. I was super happy as I read the reviews this week. It always warm my heart to receive a comment. Especially to see that my characters got you guys thinking.

First off was Lisa's comment. Oh my God! I laughed my head off as I read that comment. You really hate Yuuri with a passion. I can totally see a girl just running up to him every time he does something stupid and slap him upside the head. "You moron!" You'd propably shout at him. Moron, to be nice, cause you could probably find something else to come him. I really love Yuuri's character because even though he;s harsh, sometimes he's also comically angry. I aslo glad to see that some people have mixed feelings about him since it's the same for some of the characters in the story. For exemple, Abe Hibari really hates Yuuri for how mean he his to Kuro. I hope I can make Yuuri grow enough for you to warm up to him.

Which also brings me to MiriuOniaya, she already reviwed twice, I'm very grateful, I love your comments. I also love the way you went and said 'that's just Yuuri'when you talked about him. That's how when tend to refer to him among friend. 'Is it normal for him to get so fired up?' and I'd answer 'Yeah well, that's just Yuuri.' Like you said, he doesn't mean to hurt Kuro or anything. He's very confused when it comes to him because Kuro always seems to be on top of the situation, he can read Yuuri like an open book, while Yuuri as no clue what Kuro thinks. He actually think Kuro looks down on him since Yuuri is a dilenquent and all.

I also want to thank Kylee for her comment. I also love how Yuuri reacts so strongly for Kuro. He doesn't know how to deal with this suddent attraction. It's also a shock to him because as violent or angry as Yuuri gets, Kuro doesn't seemed to be fazed one bit. I'd even say that Kuro taunts Yuuri sometimes because when he gets angry he sometimes admit things he wouldn't otherwise. Furthermore, for the cocking his head to the side thing I needed a away to show how Kuro is happy because he's a person that enjoys life. He's just not really good at showing his emotions.

Anyways, time to go to the story. I'm sorry I didn't answer to the comments sooner. You guys deserve a lot of thanks because these comments make me happy after a long day of work.

_______________

As I shove a spoonful of cold oatmeal down my throat, my painful reality seems to hit me like a ton of bricks. This is far from the warm meal I had last night at Kowai Kao Kuro’s house. I should have refused his proposal; it’s so much harder to get back to cold instant meals when you’ve just had a taste of heaven.

I groaned in annoyance and finished my pathetic breakfast. I peeked outside as I washed my empty bowl. I groaned again. Oh joy! More rain! It’s still as grey and pouring as yesterday. This kind of weather mercilessly shoots down my mood. I’m just thankful I have a spare uniform; I won’t have to go to the trouble of going to the café to get the one I left there as I stormed out.

I slip on my shoes my suede jacket and grab my bag. As I am about to walk out of my apartment I glare offensively at the flowery umbrella the creepy boy lent me. I grab the umbrella and head out with it. I have to return this girly article as fast as I can. I don’t want people to see me walking around with something so queer.

By the time I arrived at school I was becoming fond of the said queer article. Unlike the previous day I managed to arrive at school completely dry. I won’t have to sit through my first two classes while being completely drenched.
Once I’m at school I search the hallways in hope of finding a familiar redhead. I think he gets to school at least twenty minutes before class. However, I can’t seem to find the kid. The one time I do look for him he doesn’t suddenly pops up like he usually does. Is he consciously doing it to annoy me? He probably knows I looking for him and he’s avoiding me to force me to walk around with the God damned flower patterned umbrella. Instead of finding the redhead, I do find his bouncy blond baby brother.

“Nomi chan!” I called out to him.

“Ah! Yuurinii!” He exclaims cheerfully as he noticed me. “Good morning!” he said giving me one of his fox grin.

“Where’s your brother?” I asked not even bothering to say ‘hi’ first.

“Kuronii, he…”

“Nomi chan!” Another person called out to him cutting him off. We both turned our attention toward the student heading our way. Nomi’s face lightened up as he saw the senior and waved at him cheerfully.

“You’re back Seshiru senpai!” He exclaims happily hugging the elder. Wait a second! I’ve seen this guy before! He’s the one for the picture. His short snow-white hair spiked backward, and sharp stormy blue eyes and the confidant smile are the exact same as on the picture. However, he changed a great deal from the picture, his face is more triangular and less childish, his body seems much more lean and he’s about my height.

“You’re that sexy bastard that was with Kowai Kao Kuro!” I shouted pointing at him rudely. He turned to me and gave me a questioning look.

“And you are,” a pause, “the guy that was playing guitar on the side of the road, a few weeks ago. I didn’t know that you came to our school.” He said smiling after he got over the shock from my outburst. There was a number four sewed on his uniform collar. That meant he was my senior.

“I just transferred.” I said not returning the smile. I’m cautious of this new acquaintance, I don’t know was his relation to the redhead is yet… Did I just think that? What the hell is wrong with me? I am worried about his relationship with Kowai Kao Kuro! Since when did that become of importance to me?
“That’s nice, you’re in the same year as Kuro chan!” He said looking at my collar. “You look very Asian. Are you Japanese?” He asked. I kept on frowning at him even though he was being overly friendly

“Yeah, I come from Japan. The name’s Inoue Yuuri.” I said cautiously.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Kishimoto Seshiru, Kurorimi chan’s boyfriend!” He said smiling brightly holding his hand out for me to shake. ‘Kurorimi chan’s boyfriend.’ My brain takes a moment to process the information… ‘Kurorimi chan’s boyfriend.”…

“What!” I exclaimed in disbelief. “There is no f**king way a hottie like you is Kowai Kao Kuro’s boyfriend!” I shouted pointing at him just like the first time; by then everybody as stopped to look our way.

“I’m flattered by the ‘hottie’ compliment but I am truly Kuro chan’s boyfriend.” He said grinning even more.

“Why didn’t he ever tell me about this guy?” I asked. Great! It was barely eight in the morning and I’m already having an anger fit.

“Why would he tell you about Seshiru? You can’t spend even a minute without yelling at the poor boy.” Ren said as he arrived in his usual girl uniform. Nomi and Ren exchanged a glance. The boy frowned at him for a moment but quickly retuned one of his foxy smiles. The Okama instantly returned his attention toward me.

“I do not!” I shouted in protest trembling in anger.

“By the way, where is Kuro chan?” asked Kishimoto, coming back to my original intention. Where is the brat?

“Kuronii was sleeping when I left.” Nomi said. Kishimoto’s expression suddenly turned serious and concerned.

“Is he alright?” asked the white haired guy.

“Well since our room are right next to each other he kept me up most of the night by coughing. He probably didn’t sleep too well.” The blond haired boy explained, my chest tighten in guilt. “When I went to check on him this morning he was a little feverish but at least he was sleeping.” He added. I looked down at the floor. If he hadn’t come after me yesterday he wouldn’t be sick right now.

“Really?” asked Kishimoto. “At least if he sleeps he might recover faster.” He said smiling sadly. I frowned, I felt that I didn’t really fit in the conversation. I sounded as if they all knew something I didn’t. I didn’t take the chance to ask, they probably wouldn’t tell me since I’m not really the brat’s friend.
“I’ll call home at noon to check up on him.” Nomi said. Maybe I should go see him after school, I feel sort of guilty about this. I really hate this feeling. I don’t have anybody to worry over me so why should I wreck my brain over the redhead? He’s got plenty of friend to do that.

“Well I have my car, I can always go check on him too.” Kishimoto said flashing the boy a toothy smile, the blond was reassured and smiled back at him. That Kishimoto guy is such a big shot. I really don’t like him.

“You guys are all worrying over something so small.” I said crossing my arms over my chest. Honestly, I didn’t truly mean that, I was just insulted that they rudely excluded me from the conversation. However, that seemed to have caught the sexy bastard’s attention.

“You don’t know that much about Kuro chan, do you?” Kishimoto asked almost accusingly.

“It’s not as if we’re good friends or anything.” I said in defence. I glared intensely at my elder, the more time I spend around him the more I was starting to hate him.

“Then you don’t really need to concern yourself with that matter. It’s not as if you guys are good friends or anything.” He said smirking at me. I growled at him, he’s truly asking to be buried alive!

“Wow, sparks fly between these two.” Ren stated.

“And they’ve barely even known each other for ten minutes.” Nomi completed. Both of them were completely dumbfound at our mutual hatred for each other. It’s only when the bell rang that we finally broke eye contact.

“See you around Inoue.” Kishimoto said waving at me slyly. “By the way, you got some nice eyes yourself. Same colour as Kuro chan.” He said referring to when I complimented the brat back in the street. Before I even knew he was a guy. I growled and raised my middle finger at him behind his back. Ren chuckled.

“Are you laughing at me?” I snapped.

“Not at all Yuuri kun.” He said raising his hands in defence. “You know, not everyone is trying to pick a fight with you.” He added before he picked up his bag to head for his sewing class. But before I could leave he turned around and glared at me.

“By the way Yuuri,” He started, the glare he gave me sent shivers up my spine. “Next time you leave during your shift I’ll fire you.” He said menacingly. I gulped as he started to walk toward me, he grabbed my hand and dropped a phone about the size of my palm in it. “The number is 514-555-0308, leave it on so I don’t have trouble contacting you next time.” He added.

“What? You’re giving me this phone?” I asked in utter disbelief. Their would be no way someone one freely give me something like a cell phone!

“My dads owns a phone company. Since you don’t have one I thought this could serve you. I got plenty more for myself.” He said smiling brightly before leaving. That’s right, Ren is the heir of a big company, he’s one of those rich kids. I tend to forget that sometime because he doesn’t really act like it.

I headed for gym class in a foul mood; I should have just skipped it. I got detention because I threw a volley ball at a guy’s face, intentionally, after he tripped me, unintentionally, and broke his nose. Plus, the teacher didn’t want to see me in his class for the rest of the week. What a drag.

Like usual I when outside on the front step to have a smoke; I sit under the porch to shelter myself from the pouring rain. Damn that rain that won’t stop falling. Damn that sexy bastard! Damn Kowai Kao Kuro for making me feel so guilty. Damn Kishimoto! That bastard thinks he’s so much better than me. He can have Kowai Kao Kuro all to himself if he wants, I don’t care! You have to be blind or have extremely bad taste to want to be this creepy kid’s lover!
“F**k you Kishimoto!” I shout in frustration. Thankfully, no one was around when I shouted, they would have thought I just lost it. To add to all my problems I was still stuck with the brat’s girly umbrella.

“Mind if I join you.” A feminine voice asked, I didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was. Only one real girl attends this school, the nosy reporter Yamato Chantal. The red haired woman sat beside me and lit up a smoke.
“I never gave you the okay to join.” I said glaring at her.

“I’ll get old before I get a permission from you.” She said swinging one of her leg over the other.

“Maybe that’s a hint that I don’t want anything to do with you.” I said rudely.

“You know, while you were in gym the other day I snached your driver's license out of your bag.. The funny thing is that according your records at this school you’re sixteen. However according to your licence you would have turned seventeen the year you left Japan, which was two years ago.” She said grinning life the Cheshire cat. I frowned seriously.

“You’re one sneaky whore.” I said, her grin widen.

“So how old are you now? Sixteen? Nineteen? Or maybe those are two fake ages?” She asked.

“This doesn’t concern you.” I growled.

“I’m also curious to know your real name; the licence said your name was Hitsugi Yuuri and not Inoue.” She inquired.

“This is none of your business!” I shout standing up.

“I’d say you’re sixteen rather than nineteen, you looked like a mire child on that picture. I’m surprised you got away with such a lie.” She said.

“Shut up! Don’t go looking through my stuff.” I said clenching my fist.
“But you’re such an interesting person Hitsugi kun.” She said taking a long drag from her cigarette. She gasped in surprise was I grab her arm and roughly hoist her up to her feet. Hitsugi, that's the last name writen on my license.

“You’re putting yourself into something very dangerous by digging into my past. I suggest you turn back now before it’s too late.” I hissed into her ear before letting her arm go and returning into the school. I can’t believe the spunk of that woman! What does she wish to get by sneaking into my life? I can’t let her discover anything more. I thought as walk down the hallway fuming.

I also skipped my English class since my encounter with Chantal only aggravated my mood. I only came back at noon for lunch. I sat at the usual table to eat a mock chicken and tomato sandwich I made this morning. Nomi, the Okama, my pink haired friend, the student council dog as well as a cheerful Kishimoto, soon joined me.

He eats nonchalantly chatting and laughing with the others. Everyone at the table seemed to like him a lot, except for me sending him glares with enough force it could kill. If looks could kill I would be burning a hole in-between his blue eyes right now.

“Oniichan!” exclaimed Nomi. My eyes as well as Kishimoto’s shot to the redhead who was standing by the table with his school bag in hands.

“Kuro chan.” Kishimoto said as he stood up to go greet the boy. “Nomi told me you were sick, why did you come all the way here?” He asked putting a hand on the boy’s cheek.

“I’m fine Senpai. Don’t worry, I felt better when I woke up so I decided to come. I remembered you were coming back today.” The redhead said bowing his head politely. A bit too politely to someone that should be his lover.
“I missed you, basketball tournaments are fun but two weeks without seeing you was way too long.” Kishimoto said smiling down gently at the boy. Those smiles were very different from the ones he gave me or anyone else for that matter.

“Kowai Kao Kuro.” I growled breaking the cute reunion scene. The brat turns my way. “I still have your umbrella.” I said. He shook his head causing his red hair to whip gently around his face.

“You misunderstood me Yuuri. You can keep it, it’s a gift.” He said.
“I don’t want it! It’s girly!” I shouted.

“But you don’t have one. Yesterday you came to school soaked to the bones.” He argued, I was surprised anyone even noticed that.

“What’s wrong Inoue, are you ashamed of walking around with a flowery umbrella?” Kishimoto asked smirking cockily at me.

“I’m not a f**king girl!” I shouted glaring daggers at the white haired man.

“Don’t shout you’re disturbing everyone.” Abe said giving me a glare of his own.

“This argument is none of your business Abe!” I snapped.

“Come on Inoue, respect your seniors a little more. Isn’t that one of the golden rules in Japan?” Kishimoto asked.

“F**k off Kishimoto! You don’t have a f**king thing to teach me!” I shouted. I was up and ready to jump across the table to go punch the cocky smile off his face when the brat hand stopped me by grabbing my arm. However, he didn’t grab my arm in a way to stop me but rather to catch my attention.

“It’s alright. If someone laughs at you for having a girly umbrella you can say it’s a gift from your cute girlfriend.” The brat said tugging gently on the sleeve of my uniform.

“That’s not the issue here!” I shouted in defence blushing at the ‘cute girlfriend’ comment.

“What’s the issue then?” he asked, I blushed even further.

“It’s fine! Thank you, I’ll keep your umbrella!” I said sitting back down rather than trying to explain myself. Form the corner of my eye I can see him cock his head to the side before sitting down beside me.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I asked putting my spoon in my empty soup bowl.
“What is it that I forgot to tell you?” he asked nonchalantly.

“This sexy bastard is your gay lover.” I said pointing at the white haired man who was currently leaning against his palm as he watched the redhead.

“Seshiru senpai? He’s not my lover. Who told you that?” he asked looking up at me curiously. However, I never answered his question and I shot to my feet once again.

“You liar!” I shouted at him.

“I’m sorry Inoue, I tend to get jealous when good looking guys roam around Kuro chan. To be honest I’m still in the process of seducing him. But now that you found out my secret I’ll just have to try harder. I definitely won’t lose to you.” Kishimoto said grinning.

“What do you mean ‘won’t lose to me’?” I asked as the heat rushed to my face. “I don’t want to have Kowai Kao Kuro as a lover!”

“Later guys, my French teacher wants to see me before class so I’ve got to run, sorry!” He said standing up and grabbing his bags.

“Wait!” I called.

“Love you Kuro chan.” He said waving to the brat.

“Wait, don’t run away you coward!” I yelled. I was about to get up and go after him but Hibari grabs my arm and forces me to sit down. I crossed my arms and growled at my senior.

“Damn that Kishimoto bastard.” I mumbled angrily.

I hate him! Kishimoto Seshiru the tall confident guy with sharp stormy blue eyes. Just like Abe Hibari and Tooru Santa, he seems to have a strong admiration for the strange boy. Furthermore, he’s willing to openly admit his love to the redhead! And I don’t hate him because I want Kuro. It’s his own fault. Since the moment we glanced at each other he’s been trying to get under my skin. He’s one cocky f**ker and the next the brat won’t be able to stop me from smashing his pretty face in!

By now you must all be acquainted with the poor luck I have so when did you think I got to see the sexy bastard again. Obviously, he works at the café too. Bet you didn’t see that one coming! So why was I surprised to see him standing before me in the café uniform at three? Moreover, how did Ren convinced me not to walk out the door at that moment? It still beats me. However, I suspect that it was because something much more distracting was on my mind.

As I change in the employee’s room I hear the door open, I don’t turn since I assume it must only be Kuro. He always comes in at about the same time I do. I takes me a moment to register that the redhead doesn’t actually work today so who…

“We seem to meet everywhere Inoue, Ren never told me you worked here.” I froze as I heard Kishimoto’s cocky voice. I could almost feel his smirk as he talked. I turn on my heels only to come face to face with the white haired senior. My only response is a dangerous growl.

“What are you doing here Kishimoto?” My lips slowly curled up into a demonic smirk. “Are you here to finish the fight that you ran out of earlier?” I asked.

“Nope, I came here to change into uniform. I work here too.” My smile dropped as I heard him say that.

“What!” I exclaimed.

“You didn’t seriously think I let Kuro chan work here with so many possible threats around?” He asked cheerfully.

“No way!” I exclaimed.

“What’s wrong Inoue?” He asked.

“There is absolutely no way I’m working with you!” I shouted storming out of the room. “Ren!” I hollered. The few clients that were already in the café jumped at my outburst. “Ren.” I shouted again.

“What? Don’t shout like that you’re scaring the clients.” Ren said, standing up from the laps of the boy he was sitting on. It’s not a rare thing to find him somewhere like that, Ren like to flirt with our male cliental. That’s what make the café’s strength among the boys.

“I’m definitely not working in the same place as that sexy bastard Kishimoto!” I said crossing my arms.

“Sadly, you two are the ones that attract all the girls here so I’m not ready to compromise.” The okama replied coldly.

“Weren’t you the one that wanted to fire me earlier?” I asked.

“Not really, those were only threats.” He said, I sweat dropped.

“Seshiru senpai is not so bad, why don’t you try to get along instead of fighting?” Nomi asked as he passed by.

“I can’t possible get along with this cocky bastard!” I shouted.

“Oh god no.” Ren said shaking his head in desperation.

“What’s wrong Inoue, you’re afraid I’ll be too good a waiter for you to keep up with?” He asked with a cocky smirk.

“Is that a challenge Kishimoto?” I snapped.

“I’ll be glad to patronize you if you call me senpai.” He said never dropping his smile.

“Patronize my ass.” I said raising my middle finger.

“Yuuri, please, don’t start a fight here.” Ren pleaded but I ignored him.

“I don’t know why you’re keeping that delinquent here.” Abe’s voice came to my ear. I turned around to give him a death glare. He was sitting at a table along with Santa and Kuro. I’m not so sure why the redhead is still here, he doesn’t have a shift tonight.

“What are you doing here Kowai Kao Kuro?” I asked, since he had caught my attention I totally forgot about Abe’s comment.

“Inoue.” He growled, I know he hates it when I call Kuro like that.

“Sweets! We came here to get sweets.” Santa said cheerfully. I walked up to Kuro and slapped him on the forehead, not hard enough to hurt him but enough to get his attention.

“You dumb brat, you won’t get better if you don’t go back home to rest. Your voice still sounds awful you know.” I said angrily.

“Sorry your right.” He said rubbing his forehead lightly than looked up at me and cocked his head to the side. “I promise I’ll go back home right after the snack.” He said. Santa grabbed the boy in a hug.

“Don’t you worry Yuukun, me and Hiba kun will make sure Kuro chan gets home safe and sound.” Santa promised.

“However we could leave faster if you took us our orders.” Abe said, his voice was calm and collected like usual but he was clearly trying to spite me. I clenched my fist but I refrained from lashing out at him.

“It’s coming.” I said taking a deep breath to repress my anger than turned on my heels to go to the kitchen.

“That was nice, you almost sounded concerned there.” Kishimoto commented.

“F**k you, Kishimoto. I just owe him.” I said grumpily. With both Kishimoto and Abe in the café it’s hard to work because they keep holding me back on every move I make. Abe is really trying to make me lose my temper and Kishimoto keeps firing me up with his comments. Kishimoto and I developed a strong rivalry relationship. He turns everything into a challenge. Who cleans the more table or who gives the best service. He keeps claiming it’s for Kuro’s love but I couldn’t care more about the redhead. I really don’t want that kind of relationship with him.

However, my relationship with Kuro is a little less rocky than it used to be. I don’t get angry at him as much as I used too. The little bastard keeps teasing me all the time. He sounds so serious with that face of his but he’s actually a funny guy and he’s easy to talk to. I wouldn’t get so angry as much if it weren’t for Kishimoto popping out all the time claiming I’m trying to steal his Kuro.

“Inoue!” Kishimoto called me as I walked out of history. The senior grabbed me around the neck.

“Don’t touch me.” I growled twisting out of his grasps. He raised his hands in defence. He was dressed in gym suit and he was all sweaty. He obviously just came from gym class.

“Don’t be a bad sport and come play basket ball with us, we’re short a few players.” He said with a grin. I froze in shock. “What wrong, you don’t know how to play?” He asked teasingly.

“I know how to play.” I said crossing my arms stubbornly. I just never really had anybody ask me to play along. I never really stay in school long enough for people to ask me to play so the question did come in as a shock.
“Than come on, we have to hurry if we what to play and still have time to eat lunch.” He said dragging me off to the gym. Of course with are usual rivalry we didn’t play on the same team. I played on Kuro’s team instead, he was there too. By the time we started playing I was really fired up since Abe was on Kishimoto’s team too.

The two seniors are really good, they are sportsmen by nature. Kuro’s not bad either. He’s not good at scoring cause he’s not too tall but as I noted before he’s very quick and he’s sharp. He’s fun to play with. Unlike Nagayama, who’s also on our team. That guy as such a big head, he’s more an inconvenience than an aid. He also keeps pushing the redhead around, he seems to have a bone to pick with him. It’s not that I’m protective of the redhead but I made sure to keep Nagayama as far away as possible from him. Especially after he pushed the boy around a few times. That last time I threw the ball at the bastard’s face and blamed it on my hand slipping. Kishimoto was holding back from smiling and Abe actually snickered.

When me and Kishimoto came out of the school that evening, still fighting it was snowing. When I got in the school this morning there wasn’t even an inch of snow. So imagine my surprise when I got out of the school and the snow went up a few inches over my ankles and the snow wasn’t showing any sign of letting up!

“That’s one hell of a storm out here!” Kishimoto said cheerfully. Before I even had the time to turn to him I was assaulted by an armful of snow to my head. I shivered violently as the cold, wet substance melted in my hair and got in my coat.

“You bastard!” I shouted shaking my fist at him. Since he was not intimidated one bit he picked up another armful of the sticky snow and threw it my way, hitting me in the face. This time I bent down and grab some snow of my own and threw it him.

“You missed me Inoue. Where did you learn to throw like that?” He asked cockily, once again getting me in the middle of the face.

“You’re asking for it Kishimoto, you’ve just declared war!” I shouted in rage grabbing some more snow to shove it his way. Once again I missed the sportsman, however, I did hit a target. I looked up to see the redhead blinking in surprise. Is hair were now covered in melting snow. He stood there dumbfound, he was just walking out of the school’s door and he hadn’t been expecting a snow assault. Once again Kishimoto used this moment of inattention to toss another snowball my way.

“That’s low of you to throw snowballs at Kuro as he comes out.” Abe said as he walked out of the school followed by his pink haired companion.

“It’s his fault for stepping out on the war field.” I shouted pointing at the boy rudely.

“There’s so much snow!” Santa exclaimed throwing himself in a snow bank. Another snowball hit me face first.

“Argh! Kishimoto I’ll get you!” I shouted grabbing as much snow as I can.
“Don’t lose your focus Inoue!” My white haired rival said grinning. I launched myself at him with a war cry. This time I did managed to hit him with the snow but I decided throwing was not the most efficient strategy. I threw myself at him sending the both of us headfirst in the snow.

While we struggled on the ground I shoved the most snow I could in his coat and he didn’t let this pass either. The others didn’t bother stop us from fighting since for once this was nothing but a friendly battle. I was shouted insanities at him in false anger as he laugh and insulted me back. Santa soon decided to join us, he threw himself on top of our pile. Which forced Abe to join as well. I find it funny how he does anything as embarrassing as it gets to be with Santa.

Our little snow fight ended up in a full out war, thankfully Santa seemed to be on my side against the two seniors. He managed to slow Abe down since the elder couldn’t bring himself to throw snow at the bubbly pink head. We chased each other practically all over the school yard.

“You’re not playing Kowai Kao Kuro?” I asked grinning at the boy as I got close to the place he was standing. I was being chassed by Abe so I didn’t see the patch of ice under my feet and slipped ungracefully. The redhead was at proximity, as a reflex I grabbed on to him. The boy didn’t have a better foothold than me so the both of us fell on top of each other in a snow bank. The pile snow tumbled on us practically burying us from head to toes. The load of snow wasn’t too heavy so it was nothing life threatening.

“Inoue, are you guys alright?” Kishimoto asked. I shook the snow out of my hair. The redhead was laying under me, he seemed completely safe. I had used my own body to shield him from the snow. I frowned to myself, my body had moved on it own to protect the boy in his fall. Santa helped me get all the snow off me and pulled me back to my feet.

“Are you alright Namikaze kun?” Abe asked holding out his hand to the boy. He pulled him up effortlessly.

“I’m fine, the snow broke the fall.” Kuro said cocking his head to the side.
“You’re so clumsy Inoue.” Kishimoto laughed patting me on the back.
“I’d like to see you run on ice!” I flared up.

“You know I’m only kidding man” He said grinning brightly.

“Both of you are alright and that’s what counts.” Santa chimed in cheerfully.
“It’s that brat’s faults for not paying attention during a war.” I said glaring at the boy, ruffling his hair playfully shaking most of the snow out.

“Sorry about that.” He said bowing his head a little.

“It’s alright.” I said with a violent shiver. I realised I was completely drenched from the snow. My suede jacket becomes wet quickly, it’s not the best for Canadian winters.

“You’re completely soaked.” Kuro noticed. I send a glare toward the boy.
“Who’s fault do you think it is?” I growled, pushing him back in the snow bank.
“It’s your own fault idiot for tripping.” Abe said pushing me in the snow bank as well. I growled up at the senior. Kuro stood up and looked down on my.

“You must be proud of your body guard.” I spat. He bent down at my eye level looking at me in the eyes. A blush creped across my face. I wish I’d stop doing that every time our eyes meet.

“We should head inside, you’ll catch cold if you stay in these cloths.” He said unwrapping his thick woollen scarf from around his neck to wrap it around mine. I blushed even further at that act.

“Are you sure that’s alright, you’re just recovering from a cold.” I commented looking away.

“You need more than I do.” He said cocking his head to the side.
“You don’t have to pity me you know.” I glared.

“We’ve went through this once already, it’s not pity, it’s because I care.” He said only loud enough for me to understand.

“Come on Yuuri, let’s go in and have some coffee or something.” Kishimoto said handing his hand out for me. I grabbed it and smirked. I pulled Kishimoto along in the snow and hurried to get up before he could catch me.

“Seems like I win Kishimoto.” I said with a smirk heading toward the gate. “Lets got to my place it’s really close.” I said turning to the others. However before I got an answer another snowball was tossed to my face.

“No I win Inoue.” Kishimoto smirked shaking the snow out of his hair. Which bloomed into another full blown argument. The two of us fought every step of the way until we finally reached my place.

“Here’s where I live.” I said pointing the apartment building. My friends studied the building for a moment but didn’t say anything about it. I didn’t think that over before I invited them over. I’ve seen Kuro and Santa’s place and I can only imagine what the other two’s houses might be like, they all live in a nicer place then I do. My apartment is basically a room in a decaying building.

“It’s on the fourth floor.” I said before any of them had the chance to comment. They followed me outside. I cursed when I walked into my apartment. Damn it! It’s colder then outside in here! “Come in, it might take a while for the place to warm up, I think my heating is off.” I lied, in fact I knew it was because the landlord hadn’t bothered fixing it yet. The man hates me and makes me pay way too much for this shit hole.

“So this is where Yuukun lives.” Santa noted.

“Yeah, it’s not a big place but it’s better then sleeping out on the streets.” I said scratching the back of my head nervously. They were removing their boots and coats, none of them seemed to be able to find something to say about my place. I frowned to myself but didn’t say anything. They probably didn’t think a human being could live in such a place in real life. All these guys are at least a little wealthy so they probably thought these kind of places only existed in television shows.

“That’s right, Inoue, you play the guitar!” Kishimoto said as he saw my guitar sitting on the couch. “You were playing the first time I saw you.” He commented sitting down on the couch beside my instrument. He was trying to lighten the mood, he even omitted that the time he saw me play the guitar it was on the side of the street for spare change.

“Mind if I play?” He asked.

“Sure, go ahead.” I said. Kuro sat beside him and Abe and Santa sat on the floor with their backs against the couch. “I’ll make us some coffee.” I stated.

“That would feel good since it’s so cold in here.” Abe said, I clenched my fist and glared at him. Damn that rich bastard! I boiled some water in a pot to make some instant coffee. While the water was in the stove I went to the closet to fetch a electric radiator. It’s Nestley that lent it to me, she uses it when she goes out camping so it’s useless in the winter. I took it to my kitchen/living room and plugged in beside the couch where my friends were sitting.

“This will get warmer sooner.” I said.

“Thanks.” Kuro said. Kishimoto started strumming my old guitar, he’s clumsy but he’s still not a bad player. I recognized the song he wanted to play after a few moments, I heard it on one of Santa’s CD.

“I still can’t get it I have to practice more.” He said.

“It’s still good considering this song is pretty complex.” Santa said.
“It’s ‘Un musician parmi tant d’autre’ right?” I inquired.

“Yeah, it’s pretty tough.” Kishimoto said trying the first few cords again.
“You mean you know about French music.” Abe said raising an eyebrow in disbelief.

“Yes I do.” I said smirking cockily. The vice president was trying to pick a fight with me in any way possible. Compared to the sexy bastard who’s somewhat playful, Abe is arrogant and cold. He clearly hates my guts.

“You heard it on the CD I lent you right?” Santa asked, his eyes sparkling up.
“Yes, I listened to all of them, they’re awesome. It’s a style I never heard before. Most of the songs are just perfect for the guitar!” I told the pink head.

“If you like them I can make a copy for you!” He said cheerfully, I nodded. Kishimoto gave a try at the song again only to get stuck at the same spot.
“Here, I’ll show it to you.” I said, my senior looked up at me in disbelief but nodded and gave me the guitar, he scooted over to give me some place to sit. I grabbed the pick and played the first few notes. “Here, that’s where you always get stuck, you should try it this way instead.” I said playing it to show him.

“You’re pretty talented, how did you learn to play like that?” Kishimoto asked.
“It’s nothing really, I just play by ear.” I said shrugging it off.

“That’s awesome Yuukun. Only a few people manage to do that!” Santa exclaimed. I blushed at the compliment, no one ever really complimented me on it before. I started to play the song again.

“I can’t sing it though, my French is awful.” I said. ‘Une main sur une epaule, chacun a bien joue son role le Rideau monte et desand…’ I sing the first few words then hum it since my accent is horrible and I can’t remember the words.

‘Le musician se sert les dents, il est si bien pour une fois.’ Kishimoto pick up where I left off, I smiled down at my guitar. He had a nice voice and his accent was flawless, I’d even say French is his first language. I ended up playing the whole song, Kishimoto and Santa knew the lyrics by heart.

“ Où est allé tout ce monde
Qui avait quelque chose à raconter?
On a mis quelqu'un au monde
On devrait peut-être l’écouter”

I picked up at that part. Since these lyrics marked me the most I memorised them. Like in the original I repeat it a few time until the three us are losing our voices from singing too loudly. By the time I was done with the song I was little flustered, it always made me happy when people sing along. I rarely get to have carefree fun with friends.

“You’re an awesome musician Inoue!” Kishimoto said laughing and throwing an arm around my shoulder.

“And you sing really well too.” Santa complimented giving me a thumbs up.
“Thanks.” I mumbled scratching the back of my head.

“I’ll go get the coffee.” I said as I heard my pot boiling. “I’ve got milk in the refrigerator.” I told my senior who was following me to help get the cups. I opened my cupboard and stared dumbfound at it’s content. How am I going to do that? I only got two cups and we’re five. I’ll have to use glasses, I got three of them. That should be fine.

“Did you find the milk?” I asked sending a glace toward my senior. I didn’t check this morning if I still had some. If I do I just hope it didn’t turn back either. He grabbed the milk to show it to me. He looked in my fridge then looked at each other. They frowned severely.

“What’s wrong?” I asked playing innocent. I knew my refrigerator was pathetically empty, I clenched my fist. I know they’re going to ask questions.
“Nothing, do you need help carrying those?” He asked grinning.

“Yeah, I only have two cups so we have to use glasses.” I said bowing my head a little in shame.

“Do you have sugar?” He asked grapping two glasses and a cup from the counter.

“Yup, I’m coming with that.” I said taking the sugar from the cupboard, when Nestley comes over she tales sugar in her coffee so I make sure to have some. “What are you doing?” I asked Kuro when I came back to the living room, the redhead was holding my suede jacket.

“It’s drenched, it won’t dry if you leave it in a lump on the floor.” said Kuro hanging the coat over the radiator. “It’s not a good coat for winter so you should keep it as dry as possible.” He added. I blushed a little, he’s always going out of his way to take care of me. I placed the cups on the coffee table. Santa put loads of sugar in his coffee while Abe would rather have a lot of milk, Kuro and Kishimoto drink them with both sugar and milk.

“What do you take in your coffee Yuukun?” Santa asked pulling my cup his way to prepare it.

“Don’t bother, I drink it black.” I answered.

“Black!” Santa exclaimed shivering. “How can you stand that?” he asked.
“I’m not to fond of sweets” I said sitting down cross legs beside the table. I wish I had snacks to offer them too but I don’t even have them for myself half of the time.

“Inoue, where are your parents?” Kishimoto asked seriously, I froze momentarily at the question.

“I don’t have any.” I said bluntly. It was now their time to freeze. “Don’t make that face. It’s not like I can't take care of myself anyways. I was four want I last saw my mother and god knows what my father looks likes.” I snapped slamming my fist on the table. They exchanged glances among themselves but no one dare say a word. "I've been taking care of myself for long enough."

“Inoue,” Kishimoto started.

“Don’t you dare pity me.” I said looking up at him. “I can take care of myself just fine as I am.” I shouted. “Don’t compare me to you guys.” I clenched my fist. I’ve always taken care of myself, these guys would never understand, this is like a second nature to me. I never knew anything better. I’m used to fighting for my life. “I shouldn’t have brought you guys over here.” I added.

“Yuuri.” Kuro finally murmured. I had to look up at me, his voice called me out. Kuro, he doesn’t judge me, at least that’s what he says. I could here his words ring in my head, ‘it’s not pity, it’s because I care.’ Kuro never judges me no matter what. His gaze on my makes my heart beat faster again.

“I’m fine really, I can handle myself you don’t have to worry!” I said grinning up at him as if the other had disappeared. So I was startle when Santa throw himself at my neck.

“Yuukun, you know you can call if you’re ever in trouble, it’s dangerous to live all alone out here.” The pink head pleaded playfully.

“Yeah, I don’t worry to much, I know I can count on you guys.” I said ruffling my friend’s pink hair.

“Yuukun!” He exclaimed bear hugging me.

“Don’t chock me to death.” I warned him but the boy wouldn’t let go, this kind of news was startling no matter how you look at you. Santa just tends to show his emotions more than the others. It felt kind of nice though, to know there’s somebody out there you can trust. Kishimoto decided to join us as well and tackled the both of us then Kuro jumped on top of our pile.

“You guys are heavy are you trying to kill me?” I asked trying to sound angry but the only thing I could do was laugh along with Santa and Kishimoto. Abe sat on the couch with his arms crossed, he looked a little jealous at the fun we were having but he would never in a thousand years bring himself to hug me.

I’m glad Kuro decided to intervene, this situation was getting really awkward. I never know how to react or what to say when this subject rises up. I always try to brush it off but the grudge I still have at my parents can’t seem to fade away. I try to make myself believe I don’t give a damn but there’s always this hint of melancholy at the back of my mind. How does Kuro do it. He only uttered my name, a simple word managed to fix me. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to understand this boy.

Around five thirty my friends decided it was about time for them to leave. Supper was waiting for them at home, furthermore, I worked at six thirty. When I picked up my jacket it was completely dry. Kuro had also place my boots by the radiator and well as the scarf he lend me. That brat, he must have left it here on purpose.

I smiled to myself at the thought, that boy is an idiot for caring some much after someone like me. Doesn’t he know I’ll never be able to return the favour. The confession I made at him the first day was nothing but an error, I thought he understood that, I’ll never see him as more than a friend. People like me don’t have the ability to love others.

When I came back from work I noticed something was different in my apartment. I don’t think I left my lights on before I left. I scratched my head in confusion. Did someone come here? That’s when something caught my attention. There was a foreign coat on my couch right beside my guitar. I picked it up to figure out from where it might have came. When I did a slip of paper fell form it.

“A note?” I question myself. I picked it up to read it.

‘This is my old coat but it should be warmer than the one you have. I think we’re about the same size so it should fit you. By the way, you should lock your doors, if you had anything valuable to steal I could have taken them. -Kishimoto Seshiru.’ I crushed the note in my hand. That cocky bastard Kishimoto. That guy never gets tiered of picking on me does he? It’s not like I want his old cloths anyways!

Even thought I glared at the offensive coat I still slipped it on just to try it. It’s comfortable and much warmer than the one I own. I smiled to myself. Kishimoto might be nothing but a sexy cocky bastard but he’s also a good friend. Not only Kuro cares about me, all these guys care. I’ve only been here for about three weeks and they already accepted me in their group.

I’m a little happy I guess. I never felt like I belong anywhere before but I feel different around them. Nomi, Ren, Abe, Kishimoto, Santa and Kuro, I care for them too. This time I what to try and give back a little. For once I want to work hard to keep my friends.

________________

That chapter is really longer than the last chapter. I like it though, Kishimoto is one of my favourite character. He does such a good job at making Yuuri angry too!

Hope you enjoyed this chapter, tell me what you think.
