chapter 6

~~~July 12, 1987~~~
I spit the pills out they gave me today. I\'m sure they didn’t notice. They are such idiots. Only after a few hours I’m remembering things more clearly. It’s like waking up from a dream. They had me in a room full of doctors, not all of them were from this hospital. It was the same room I had found the files about Ruby. This is not just a doctor losing his mind, this is a medical conspiracy.
I miss Ruby; she was my only friend in here. Can a dead person truly be a friend though? I don’t care; for once I have a friend who cares if she is not even real? And now she disappeared. Why is the universe out to get me? Nothing in this place is right. We are mentally ill, not test subjects. Who knows, maybe none of the people in here are really crazy.
I had decided the best thing to do was go back to the room where all the doctors had been. Going back to the room was harder this time. There was about 20 doctors and nurses working. And with that many people it is kind of hard to disappear. I waited until one of the nut jobs made a huge scene and made my way out of the commons area. I walked down the hall as quietly as I could. I almost ran into a nurse but I ducked into the bathroom before she saw me. I made it to the room without any other problems. I was more then shocked that the door was unlocked this time, since people were now using it again. I hadn’t stopped to think about it much, but the doctors must have had someone clean the room. It was that or the cleaning staff was in on this too. I was not too surprised that Ruby’s folder was not longer on the desk. I looked around the room and noticed there was now a filing cabinet stuff in the corner. Of course they wouldn’t want these reports mixed in with the rest. That also blows my theory that everyone here is on the meds.
The cabinet was unlocked. These dumb shits probably didn’t think anyone would come to this room.
There were many other files here, maybe 30 or so. The first thing I noticed when flipping through the files was that I now had a file. I pulled out the files on both me and Ruby.
I was not surprised that Ruby and I had both been taking the same meds.
