Love Begets Love

Adrian William was everybody’s dream. Having taken his looks from his mother, there could be no other young man or woman who could outshine his beauty. Rufus William loved both his sons deeply, but his youngest son reminded him greatly of his wife. Rebecca, whom he deeply loved. Rebecca died of sickness when Gregory and Adrian were still very young. Rufus promised his wife that he will take good care of their two sons, especially Adrian, who was more fragile and was younger than Gregory for two years. Adrian was their baby. Even Gregory vowed to protect his younger brother.

Rufus was proud of his sons, and he always brought them to parties. Even at a very early age of thirteen, many had sought Adrian’s hand in marriage. But Rufus wanted only the best for Adrian. Someone who is wealthy, but at the same time, one who would cherish and love his youngest son like they do. It was then that Vladimir Garcia came into the picture. A very wealthy man who was already thirty years old. Adrian was only fourteen, when Vladimir started courting him. Gregory at first, disliked Vladimir greatly. He does not want him for his baby brother. And tried to prevent Vladimir from seeing his brother. But Vladimir’s father was Hugo Garcia, their father’s, and their late mother’s best friend. Their parents and Hugo almost grew up together. And since Rufus trusted Hugo with all his heart, he allowed Vladimir to court Adrian. He only wanted to give away his son to somebody whom he really know and trusts.

Because of his father, Gregory was not able to prevent Vladimir from seeing his baby brother. In no time, Vladimir was able to have Adrian’s trust and love. His baby brother was so naïve and innocent, and Gregory thought that Vladimir took advantage of it. He made Adrian pregnant when his baby brother was only fourteen. Vladimir really made it sure that nobody can take Adrian from him. And making him pregnant would be the only way to get Rufus’ approval. Gregory hated Vladimir for that. Rufus had no other choice but to arrange the marriage immediately.


The two were married immediately, and Vladimir took his bride home with him immediately thereafter, despite Rufus’ pleas to let Adrian stay with them for a while. He was already Vladimir’s, and Vladimir has every right to his husband.

Gregory witnessed how his father cried for his baby brother. Their house seemed empty without Adrian. He was their baby. Even Gregory felt so sad. He was luckier because he met Gabriela soon after.

Rufus and Gregory would always visit Adrian. And Adrian would always end up crying if his father and brother leaves. He was so young and he misses them greatly. Vladimir loved and adored him but he is very possessive. He would not even let Adrian go out without him. And he would not let Adrian stay in his father’s house for long.

After a few months, Adrian gave birth to Gael. Vladimir was overjoyed, and he wanted another baby immediately. It was then that Adrian started to be rebellious. He does not want to be pregnant soon, after what he went through during his first pregnancy, and the long hours of labor before he gave birth to their son. He don’t want another baby soon because the pain was unbearable when he gave birth. He wanted to enjoy his youth.

Vladimir was not happy, but because of his deep love for his husband, he gave him some space. His father told him to let Adrian have his freedom. And Vladimir did just that. He allowed Adrian to attend to parties, with the hope of gaining his husband’s love again.

It was in one of the parties when Adrian met Eric Montgomery. Eric knew the young beauty was taken, but he just could not help but fall for the young beauty. Eric was only eighteen, only a few years older than Adrian. The moment they met, there was instant attraction. That first meeting was followed by a series of meetings. Vladimir was busy with his business and Adrian also did all he could to keep his little secret from his husband and Rufus. It was then that Adrian realized that what he felt with Eric was really love, unlike that of Vladimir, which was more of respect and fear.

Nobody knew of their relationship. Or at least, that was what they thought. They never knew that someone was watching their every move.

Adrian never allowed Vladimir to have sex with him. He always reasoned out to him that he does not want to be pregnant again. What Vladimir didn’t know was that Adrian was having sex with Eric.

Rufus and Gregory thought that everything is okay with Vladimir and Adrian. They had the biggest shock of their life when one day, they learned that Eric Montgomery kidnapped Adrian.

Rufus and Gregory did all they could to find Adrian. They could not eat nor sleep. They never stopped looking.

After a week, they learned the most painful news. Eric Montgomery did not only kill his Adrian, but raped him as well. They found Adrian’s body in a secluded room, tied in bed, naked and bleeding. Eric was found lying on the floor, unconscious, with the gun in his hands.

The trial was agonizing. Rufus wanted to kill Eric but the authorities were there. Eric was sentenced to be in prison for twenty years. He told the authorities that he did not kill Adrian, nor did he rape him. But nobody, not even his own family believed him.

What happened was very painful for Vladimir as well, so after the trial, he decided to leave to forget. He left Gael to live with Rufus and Gregory.

Since then, Rufus and Gregory swore that they will make the Montgomerys their enemy. If not for Eric Montgomery, Adrian would still be alive.
