Chapter 5

The next morning I wake to find Artemis watching me sleep. I bury my head into her chest, blushing at the thought of her watching me sleep. “Morning Faith. Are you not wanting me to give you that surprise I promised you last night before you passed out on me.” I bury my head further into her as she mentioned the after effects of last night. “Come on, it’s a good surprise. I promise. It’s my way of making up for missing your birthday this year.” I finally glance back up into her eyes.
“Being back with you is present enough. I don’t want or need anything else.” She smiled at my comment, caressing my face with her hand.
“Get up and put some clothes on,” she says with a wink. We both climb out of the bed and put on clothes. I slip on a white skirt that has slits that run up both sides of my legs that go up to the very top of the skirt. My top that is white with silver stitching cuts off below my breasts and the white sandal tie up my legs to my knees. Artemis is dressed in a sky blue outfit similar to mine except with a miniskirt.
She walks over to me and teleports us to a beach on what looks to be an island. We walk along a path for a few minutes until we come to a large house sitting at the beginning of a large, rolling field. That is when a giant stepped through the door of the house. “Who has approached me? Who has dared step foot on my land?” He yells towards us.
“Diomedes, it’s nice to see you haven’t changed any. It is Artemis, and I have come to talk to you about the foals your mares had a few weeks ago.”
“Oh, it is you great goddess. Forgive my rudeness. Follow me and I will take you to a corral where I am keeping the young foals.” Artemis and I followed Diomedes to a large fenced in areas where three foals roamed and played.
“Faith, I want you to go pick which foal you would like. He will be yours and I will show you how to train it.“ I gave Artemis a wide eyed look, as she waved me along my way with her hand.
“What do you think you are doing giving a mortal a man-eating horse? It will eat her alive.” Diomedes asked as he watched me walk out into the middle of the three horses.
“She will be fine and is not quite as mortal as you would make her out to be. By the way Diomedes, what would you like as payment for one of your foals?”
“Goddess, take a foal as a gift. I expect no payment from you because I know that you will make sure whichever foal you take is treated well.”
I made my way past two of the foals and made my way to the third one. It was a solid black colt. I stood a few feet away and let him slowly make his way over to me. I held out my hand as he sniffed it, and then he moved closer to me and nuzzled his nose into my stomach. That is when I noticed the fangs on the horse. I slowly walked back over to where Artemis was standing, and the colt followed only a few steps behind me. I have to say that I was a tad antsy by that point. A horse with fangs was nowhere near anything normal, but who was I to even think about normal. I have wings and live with a goddess. Artemis looked up from her conversation with Diomedes as I approached. “It seems to me like you two have already bonded.” Artemis said as she glanced at me and the colt following me.
“Artemis, why do these horses have fangs?” I asked looking back and eyeing the black colt.
“Oh, they’re man-eating horses. Don’t worry, I’ll teach you everything you need to know.” I gave Artemis one last glance and just nodded my head. The colt came back up to me and rubbed his nose against my hand. I began to pet him, looking over the colt’s unique features. He had a gleaming black coat, white fangs, and red eyes. Artemis came over to me and asked if I was sure that this was the horse I wanted. I answered with a nod of my head. She finished talking things out with Diomedes and came up to me transporting us back to a horse barn on Olympus. We placed the colt into one of the stalls, and I got the longest lecture I believe I have ever gotten. Everything to do and not to do and how I should train him. After Artemis finished explaining, we walked down a path back to Artemis’ home.
Artemis went to talk with Athena while I fixed and ate some food. When she came back she sat down at the table in the chair across from me. “I talked to my sister about her starting to teach you. She believes we should start in the next few days.”
“If that’s what you believe should be done, then that is what I’ll do. It will be interesting to meet Athena.” I smile at Artemis as we make our way back to her bedroom. I guess at this point I should be calling it our bedroom. It doesn’t seem like she plans on letting me sleep anywhere besides her.

Artemis’ view

We make our way back into my bedroom. I can hardly believe how much I care about this girl. She is so much more than Callisto ever was. I wrap my arms around her and hold her close. She tilts her head up and kisses my lips. Slowly, she strips me of the clothes that I had put on. I go to start to take her clothes off and she moves my hands away. I give her an imploring look that asks why she denies me the feel of her skin.
“You had your turn last night, I believe it’s my turn this time.” She gets a glint in her ice blue eyes and a smirk on her face as she says this to me. I could have my way if I really wanted to, but sometimes it is just better to let someone else be in control. All my clothes have came off and I am pushed so that the back of my knees hit the bed. She pushes me down onto the bed and climbs on top of me. She looks over my body and runs her hands over it. Then before I know it, her lips and hands are everywhere at once. She has been the only person to ever elicit this reaction with me. The only person who can make me moan, gasp, and scream. I feel her fingers exploring my folds. She kisses me hard, her tongue delving into my depths and tasting every inch that it can. I moan into the kiss. My hands run down her back and my fingernails leave scratch marks from the force of my grip. Her fingers quicken their pace, and keep hitting my g-spot over and over. Then I feel her thumb push my clit. It is like the button that sends me over the edge. I scream the girls name and pull her down onto me. As my breathing begins to slow, I see her glance over my body. “I love you Artemis.” She lays her head on my shoulder and closes her eyes. The girl was so beautiful.
As she slips off into sleep, I whisper, “ I love you too Faith.”
Over the course of the next four months, Faith went out and trained the colt that she had come to name, Kira. Athena also started teaching Faith about politics and other knowledgeable things that she would need to know. Soon, the trial that all the gods had put together would be coming up. Faith would have to use everything she had learned to get through that. The Powerbands would be a big help for the future that was soon to come. There was no denying it at this point. The gates were becoming weaker…
