A dark form was pacing back and forth in front of a fire place, plotting his doom no doubt;
All I had to do was find a 17 year old boy with unimaginable power how hard was that, right. Wrong, I had been looking for the 17 year old in question ever since he was born! By right I should have found the baby that night, but not every one was surrounded by idiots that got wrong directions! Hell on fire, what if they got that wrong too? What if I was supposed to be looking for a girl? People would fry, if, for 17 years I had been wasting my time looking for a boy that didn’t exist, but then again I guess I could go easy on the messengers if it turned out to be a girl I’m looking for, NO, a HOT girl then all could be forgiven, but if not they would fry.
“My Lord?”
“What is it, Lazarus?”
I didn’t appreciate people interrupting my thoughts or in this case demons interrupting my thoughts.
“Jarvis is dead.”
Who…
“Who…”
Lazarus gave me a blank look before answering me.
“Jarvis… Short bulgy, messy blonde curls.”
Now it was my turn to give the blank expression. I have no clue as to who this Jarvis is.
“Looks like a squirrel.”
Oh Jarvis, the fat squirrel or maybe he looked like a chipmunk? No he definitely looked like a squirrel without the bushy tail.
“How did he die?”
“On the job, Matthias was tracking him from the cemetery waiting for Jarvis’ call if he needed back up then he heard his scream.”
I gave him another blank expression what the hell was he talking about? The tall, bald, red, demonic elf with black tribal tattoos which seemed to go all over his body and his face, he let out a sigh before answering me.
“Jarvis was a lower level demon; Matthias being an average one was training him so Jarvis could get ‘promoted’. Matthias had set up a telepathic link with him while he was sent on his first mission and heard him die.”
I wonder how far down on his body they go? That stupid black suit his wearing is in the way.
What… oh I knew that. Lower level demons always are the first to die.
“Did Matthias hear anything else?”
“No... His not a walkee-talkee, he could only hear something if Jarvis called for him or thought something he wanted Matthias to hear.”
“Ok, get out we are threw here, send out Matthias to continue Jarvis’s work. And get me some updates on the 17 year old we are looking for.”
“Yes, my liege.”
And with that he bowed and left. I sat down in my very large cushioned chair that is in front of the fire place. And now I play the waiting game.
