Case two: Shadow of fear, part three.
****
Oh, he wasn’t a happy little water demon when he finally arrived in the room where his idiot of a boss was stationed in. The female doctor who had called for help earlier today was checking Sasha’s vital signs as the vampire looked at him as he walked into the room.

“Can I see the children?” Sang Ki asked while trying to hard his displeasure from his voice, purposely ignoring the grey-haired man on the white hospital bed and his cherry-haired watchdog for the time being.

“This way, Mr. Sang Ki.” Selena led the way to the children’s room; both were leaving the watching duty to a quiet Cole.

Golden amber eyes looked from the retreating backs of the blue-haired demon and the human doctor and back onto the still figure on the hospital bed. More along the lines of the bandaged arm that almost blended in with the white coarse sheets.

Almost immediately after the fast little bugger burrowed halfway up the detective’s arm, Cole had dug right after him, almost ripping the poor arm apart trying to catch him before he made it up to the man’s head. By then, it was too late to remove it right causing damage to Sasha.

None of them had a fucking clue what was that thing that was killing off children by sucking them dry, so they held off operating on Rochelle’s head just in case that wasn’t the smart idea to do. Dr. Weiser called the Rochelle office and asked Sang Ki to come on over and find out what the hell was going on.

The vampire stood up from his sentry chair and stood at the still man’s side. Doing that to his arm caused guilt, for the first time in a long time, to flow into his mind. Not his heart, but his mind.

His heart had stopped beating and feeling a long time ago.

Despite the fact it was a necessary call and a nurse that knew what she was doing was able to saw the arm back up tight, it just felt wrong to draw that man’s blood and rip his flesh apart. Even if it’s every demon, vampire, pretty much creatures that hated the Great Rochelles’ guts, wet dream to spill that kind of human’s blood.

What the fuck has this man done to him in a very short amount of time to feel this way about an enemy. An enemy that had tricked him with a sensual mouth and body, one that used electric shock to get him to squeal on a fellow bloodsucker.

But yet, he couldn’t really see himself later on killing this man, turning him into dinner or just because it was the natural order of things.

If there was a even a later on, Cole defiantly saw himself feasting on Mister Sasha Rochelle in a very different way.

Golden amber eyes caught the slight twitching of the pale fingers as a smile was formed on his corpse-like face.

“Come on, Rochelle. You can’t die yet. Not when you owe me a nice long romp in bed.”

He gave a long drawn out sigh while folding his arms against his chest. Sang Ki had come up with the same diagnostic as his idiot of a master after examining only three children. But the real problem wasn’t the parasites but where have they come from.

“The parasites came from the same demon and the demon must be in this hospital, somewhere close by.”

Selena raised a pencil-thin eyebrow at the blue-haired demon. “You mean these things that are in the children and in Sasha are just parts of the boogie-man?” That made no sense than again, she wasn’t the demon expert.

He nodded. “Yes, this type of ‘boogie-man’ only eats about every nine years or so but when he does, he sends out little of these ‘worms’ to infest many at one time and when the worms had taken enough from the child that they had infested, they return to back to the demon and then he feeds them.”

“I don’t want to know how.” She waves her hands as if to remove the images from her mind. Thank god she wasn’t a demon expert.

“Tell me.” Sang Ki rubbed a finger under his bottom lip while keeping both opal eyes on the children that lay before him. “How many of these children flat-line since the first one?”

“Only three so far. The two last night and the one just one hour before you came here.” Before she could ask ’why?’ The water spite turned detective spoke.

“Then we are due for another quite soon and this time, no-one picks it up without gloves and tweezers…In other words, I alone could pick it up.” He dug around in the nylon navy blue duffle bag that he had bought in with him.

“Wait, so we’re letting another child why?” Selena forced her hands on the already annoyed demon to get his attention. “ Can’t we just exact one from Sasha or a child?”

“Because...” He sighed, yanking rather roughly his hands away from hers and given her his infamous death glares that recently only a certain Rochelle was on the unlucky end of one. She immediately back down and step back. “The parasite has infused itself to the part of the brain that deals with dreams and the subconscious much like a tick does to a patch of skin on a dog or cat. You cannot remove it without causing brain damage. And the children and Sasha are now consider DEAD until we have kill the main demon and we need a fat and full parasite to lead us to him.”

She pursed her lips and lowered her eyes but nodded in agreement and let everything up to the water sprite despite the fact; he just announced that his own boss was dead.

A machine at one of the beds went crazy with warning beeps, much like last time. Selena rushed into action, calling for help but Sang Ki had beaten her to the punch and picked up a small little brown-puke colored worm-centipede with a pair of medical tweezers, keeping it far from as possible and was indeed a lot more smarter then his master for his was wearing a leather gardening gloves that kept it’s stinger from stinging him.

“Now, if you so mind Dr. Weiser.” He took the squirming worm to a bedside tray and with another pair of tweezers that had a teeny-tiny chip with a green beeping light in the center of it and carefully placed it in a fold of the parasite’s squishy protective shell.

“Tell the vampire that he has a chance at that late night snag with his dear Sasha, if he gets in this room as soon as possible.” He stepped back as soon he had let the terrified worm go and quickly picked up a small gadget that shows the location of the beeping green light as the same said worm scurried off in a direction.

Selena didn’t have to be told twice.

This was a dream.

It had to be. Because the woman that held his hand as they walked on dewy crisp green grass on a cool breezy spring day had died by his own hands just a year before. And his eyesight was 20/20 when he was wearing those ugly black thick flamed glasses just this morning.

It was a dream, a very cruel one.

They walked upon his now very dead family, perfectly alive and healthy and ALIVE as they were having a nice picnic/barbeque by the lake.

Some of the older children and his brothers were busy playing a game of soccer as his father and know-it-all brother-in-law were arguing over the best way of cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. Sang Ki was doing his duty as a baby-sitter with the much younger children on a soft blanket under the shade of a tree as the women talked among themselves.

Why does this seem so familiar? So heart-breaking familiar?

“Sa-sa!” His mother had spotted him and waved at him, causing the whole family atmosphere to darken a little as every steel-blue, hazel brown and opal eyes turned to look upon him and the unwanted presences of Roselyn Devalance.

It was almost alike it was just two years ago. No, it was exactly like that day two years ago.

“Mom?” Yeah, he‘ll be the first to admit to the fact that he cried at the sight of his dark-haired, blue eyed mother smiling at him with a pleasant smile on her beautiful freckled face.

The woman has been dead for over two years. Leave him alone!

“Sweetie?” Roselyn turned her sea-green eyes on him and everything went dark.

Now his entire family were slashed and torn apart like they were two years ago when the ambush of greedy spider-heads attacked them on this day. Sang Ki was now lying unconscious against the tree, while his young charges were in parts all over the grass and the blanket that they were sitting on.

“Roselyn?” He turned away from the massacre in front of him to the angelic face of his soon-to-be wife. Who had a clawed spider leg aimed from him and gave a yell as she made the attack.

Only to sliced his left eye when he ducked but managed to stab him in the belly when he tried to regain his balance.

Then it all went blank and now he was standing on water like he was Jesus Christ with his face half covered in blood and blood leaking out of his stomach.

“The hero is being hunted by the death of his family. It’s has to be a cliché.” Sasha looked up to see his father walking around with his hands behind his back and a head of sandy blond hair raised high.

“And the villain using the body of the hero’s dead father against him isn’t?” The pale man straighten his body, no longer trying to keep blood from escaping from the old wound.

Faked Andrew shrugged his shoulders with a ’eh’

“It either was this or your lovely girlfriend and personally...” He leaned forward with a creepy smile on his face; since it was his father, it was extra creepy. “I’m so tired of being in a woman’s body.”

“ Well, are you going to scare me to death or just bored me to death.” The grey-haired man wiped the blood away from his face, using a corner of his shirt.

“Does it matter?” Steel-blue eyes rolled to stared at the only matching eye that he had left at this point. “You are already dead. No-one survives from one of my parasites.”

The real Rochelle closed his eyes with a sigh, “What makes you think that I didn’t want to die after that lovely reminder?” He opened his eyes to stare at his ’father’s’ face.

Andrew huffed at the response. It was such a cliché one. Couldn’t this man be any more un-original?

“Then allow me to end your suffering, Rochelle.” A hand was raised turning into a sharp-pointed spider leg.

And Sasha didn’t do anything but gave that claw a better target. But it never came.

He opened his steel blue eyes, blinked a few times before closing one eye to make sure that everything was very dimmed and hazy. Then closing that eye as well and laid a hand over them before or tried to.

It was then he noticed that his arm was bandaged from wrist to shoulder.

What the hell had happen to him while he was out?

Next case is the case of the Slasher Movie.
