Dragon X - Chapter 6
We couldn't stay in the Aro Village any longer. The news of four protector dragons being killed had traveled throughout the area. Many dragons knew what happened. They knew what those dragon did to me was against their code. They also knew that I didn't have a choice, as they were attacking Kasaran. However, those four dragons were protector dragons after all. Such status held a pretty high place in other common dragons' hearts. So with the guilt and the uncomfortable mood that had developed as Kasaran and I limped around the village looking for Talone, we had decided to leave as soon as our injuries had healed enough.
Talone wasn't happy to hear that we were being driven away by other dragons (although we had told him that it was our decision to leave in the first place). He went off in anger to approach the elders of Aro and demanded that they should send out an announcement to clear our images and names. Even though the elders were very sympathetic toward my abuse, they were in a very bad dilemma. If they chose to support what I did, and me then that meant protector dragons was nothing more than just common dragons (they were the proud ones of their uniqueness). If they chose to support the protector dragons, then that meant what those four bastards did to me was acceptable (which it clearly wasn't). Either way, one side would be left unsatisfied and frustrated.
I knew that the bond within the village would be destroyed if I were to linger around in an absolute shameless gesture. So after Kasaran got better (which was a week after the incident), I persuaded him to leave with me. I knew it was selfish of me to force him to leave his homeland, but I loved him. He also knew the situation and he stood by me regardless of all the other protesting voices echoing everywhere, as everyone realized that he was leaving with a stranger that had caused such mayhem. So as I was standing before the elders with my head low, Kasaran gripped my hand tightly in his. It was an affectionate support and I was grateful for it.
Before we departed for our aimless journey, one of the elders for the Aro Village pulled me aside to a secluded place. Behind us was a large, barren cliff wall of gray. Layers of fractured rocks piled up in a towering stance, as fresh plantations sprouted here and there among the cracks that were filled with mountain dew moistures. I was puzzled for a while the aged golden dragon gazed at me from top to bottom. To be honest, I was a bit nervous with him observing me like this. It was similar to how those four rapists looked at me before they violated me.
With a sigh, the elder said in a deep voice: "You are truly unique...."
I was confused completely. Staring at him in utter silence, all I could do is wait for his next sentence.
"Ararez. Do you know why protector dragons can spit out fireballs or long streaks of flames?"
I shrugged as my tail slapped against my wings in absolute boredom. "I don't know. Maybe because they are born this way?"
Shaking his head and chuckling slightly, the elder said: "No. It's because of the Nemca aura that is within them. Dragon weren't born just so that they can spit fire naturally. The world is a magical place, Ararez. Perhaps you haven't met up with a human that can channel his or her Nemca aura easily, but all living beings have Nemca aura within them."
"What are you talking about?" I was at a lost. Tilting my head and gazing at him with my blue eyes, I asked: "Nemca? Aura? What?"
Holding up a hand, the elder gestured me to stay silent (which I immediately did when I saw the impatience surging within his eyes). "In human world, they call us golden dragons the magical dragons. We can channel our Nemca aura to a point where we can accomplish almost anything. The Dragon Spirit Himself passed down the knowledge for such ability, such skill eons ago. But that's not all. Human realm's spiritual guide is the offspring of the Dragon Spirit. The counter-part of our holy divinity was weaker than His father. Ararez. Do you think that we have named different dragon groups like so just because those titles sound better?"
I nodded my head. After all, calling all dragons under the same status title was rather... confusing, for each separate group of dragons (regardless of which village they lived in) had different abilities.
"No, Ararez. We called common dragons like so because they couldn't channel their Nemca. We called protector dragons like so because they could channel a portion of their Nemca. We call ourselves the elders or the golden dragons because we can use our Nemca with our will, freely."
"What can one that channels this... aura... do exactly?" I pondered out loud. Oops. I just remembered that the elder had told me to stay quiet.
Turning around and gazing at the other dragons working and chatting among themselves in the distance, the golden dragon thought for a brief moment (good thing that he didn't punish me or anything for speaking without asking first). His lush golden scales had this mix of yellow and light orange, which were just beautiful under the glimmering sunlight. His massive tail whipped back and forth leisurely. Its sheer size had created a series of short gusts that stirred up the warm sand on the ground. His wings had cast a large shadow upon me. The dark entity crawled from my legs to my face, as I gazed into the muscular back of the giant dragon.
Finally, he answered: "When one uses Nemca, that individual can do anything, basically. Everything from creating water to growing plants. If used in the right state of mind, one can bring life to this land. However...." His voice trailed off a bit before turned back and faced me. "If one is to use this energy on mindless ambitions and selfish goals, then death can come forth. Throughout the centuries, I've seen dragons gone rogue. They've used their Nemca on malicious purposes. Their powers were immense. I cannot remember how many brave protector dragons had died while fighting those rogue dragons. I was a young dragon back then and being a golden dragon with our ancestors' reputation on the line, it took everything that I got to pacify the chaos."
"Were those dragons golden dragons as well?"
The elder's eyes were suddenly wide with slight annoyance displayed, but he quickly returned to normal and nodded with shame. "Not all golden dragons are good, Ararez, just as the same as all other dragons. The four protector dragons that had mistreated you badly were one of those examples of rogue dragons and their evil state of minds. You were lucky to be alive. They could have used their fireballs to kill you and Kasaran."
"But they didn't," I whispered.
Smiling to me, he said: "Indeed, they didn't. But even if they did, they couldn't harm you, they could harm Kasaran."
Now I was really mystified. "What do you mean?"
"You are not an ordinary dragon. I am sure that others have told you many times already-"
"They sure have," I interrupted with displeasure. "I don't know how many times I have been called a freak, mutant, beast, or whatever."
Holding up his hand once again, the elder said softly: "But what I'm saying right now is completely different than what those foolish beings have said to you." Putting a finger with the claw retracted in the middle of my heaving chest, he continued: "Inside of you is a sea of Nemca that is different than any other dragons'. You are not a pure bred dragon, Ararez, I know that already. What really fascinates me is how you are able to obtain both the Dragon Spirit and His son's auras at the same time. You see, us dragons have Arcine, the Dragon Spirit. Humans have Erdine, the Dragon Spirit's offspring. The two are technically different from one another in terms of aura resemblance. And up till today, no dragon can combine both unique Nemca aura to form a whole new line of energy."
"So...?"
"So that means you have the strength that surpasses any of us to date," the elder grinned. He was excited at meeting me, I guess. "I've investigated the cave that you have obliterated. There's no doubt about it. The attack you have unleashed equaled to fifty protector dragons' strengths combined. The pillar of light I saw from the disaster zone was the full strength of your Nemca at work. It had literally opened up a hole in the mortal realm into the spiritual realm, believe it or not."
I started laughing suddenly. "Come on, elder. This is too farfetched. Mortal realm? Spiritual realm? You are now talking fantasy." It really was absurd. What kind of insanity would one dwell in to believe this kind of childish talk? But the golden dragon wasn't laughing. In fact, he was so serious looking that I shut up immediately.
"Ararez, you may not believe in magic, but it's all around us. Its very nature is the essence of life. Whenever one channels this energy, he or she uses the power of life force to accomplish the tasks that he or she needs to do. Your parents are a mix of protector dragon and human that can use this aura as well. So naturally, you have the gift from both sides. If you train further, your ability can advance to a level that can change the balance in this world."
I was going to dismiss such remark until I began to think hard about it. Gazing at my light blue arms, I contemplated: "Is it true? Are you serious?" My light scales shined brightly as I turned my arms left and right.
"I'm dead serious," the elder confirmed with a stern tone. He then handed me a scroll that was made up of deerskin. It was large and ancient looking. Some dark brown stains could be seen on the outer edges of the object. "Perhaps you don't believe me now, but when you have the time and the opportunity, why don't you open up this scroll and practice whatever content that is in it? Maybe then you'll be convinced."
Looking up, I asked: "But why telling me all this?"
"Because I don't want you to turn evil due to all the hatred that has been bottling up inside of you. I can feel it, Ararez. The wrath that is struggling to break free from within your innocent mind has just found a crack. That massive attack you have unleashed a week ago demolished half of the mountain. I knew then, that I must have a word with you on this subject." He then turned his back on me and looked over his shoulder with eyes glowing deep red instead of light yellow. With a terrifying voice filled with rage, he concluded our little talk: "Because if you turned rogue, I'll have to hunt you down and kill you."
Our little chat ended not so well. The main reason was because I was horrified at the implication that the elder would tear me into pieces if I were to release my anger on other innocent beings. Yet, was it possible? I would never do such a thing, no matter how much I hated when someone eyed me as if I was a freak. When Kasaran asked me what was wrong, I stayed silent while holding onto the large backpack composed of reeds, leaves, and other ropes. Inside laid the scroll. Suddenly, I felt tired and worn out.
When we finally left Aro Village with Talone waving goodbye, I looked up into the empty blue sky. It was such a magnificent day. Not a single cloud was in sight. With a nod, both of us opened up our wings and soared into the air. The rush of wind was refreshing, as I was trying to understand what the elder had said. My backpack slung across my back was heavy, not because of the scroll, but because of the intense atmosphere enveloping it completely. Like a shadow serpent preying under the freezing moonlight, the feeling was extending its arms around my mind and gradually tightened the hold. Soon, I was trembling while trying to stay afloat.
"Are you okay?" Kasaran yelled over the roaring gust. He flew close to me and touched my shoulder gently. "Hey! Ararez! How you hold up there, buddy?"
Snapping out of the spiraling trance, I smiled weakly and replied: "Fine. Just fine. Don't worry about me!" But I knew that he was worried and concerned, for I didn't say much afterward.
We stopped for a quick lunch after a few hours of flight. Beside our campground, a large lake could be seen. Its surface rippled with sparkling water droplets whenever a fish had jumped up from beneath the lake. While Kasaran left to hunt for food, I sat at the bank of the waterbed and opened up my backpack. The scroll was huge in my hands. After unraveling it, I had to spread it across the damp grassy floor. It smelled like someone had smoked it centuries ago, with a hint of mold's wetness.
"Water barrier enchantment?" I read out the poorly written words that were in black. "A type of aura manipulation that only golden dragon groups can use. One must submerge into the essence of the water, feeling its presence, understanding its nature, absorbing its power...." After reading through all the instructions, I scoffed and lay on my back, just observing the heaven while considering everything that had happened ever since I had left my homeland.
Finally, I made up my mind. Whether if it were a lie or a trick or whatever, it wouldn't hurt just trying it out. I gathered a deep breath as I closed my eyes. I seek for the center point of my aura (whatever it was) and tried to channel it toward all four limbs on my body. I could feel a swirling sensation inside of me. Before me, everything was pitch black. It was a vacant region where nothing existed. For a while, it remained like so as I stood like an idiot beside the lake, trying to use my Nemca aura. But after several minutes, nothing happened. I was going to give up with a feeling of being tricked, until I abruptly saw a searing flash in front of my closed eyelids. Quickly, I imagined that I was using some sort of force to pull that flash of white across the darkness. The more I stretched it to the sides, the more energy I felt building up inside of me. I was tired before, but now all the exhaustions had been driven away, replaced by a strength that I had never experienced before.
I was too early to celebrate. I tried hard to push out the power within me, but something was blocking it. No matter how I tugged at the whiteness (which had now stretched all the way across my vision behind my eyelids like clay), it just wasn't happening. My breath became fast and shallow while I strained hard.
I then remembered what it said on the scroll. Feeling the presence of the water. Understanding its nature. Absorbing its power. Easier said than done. The more I tried to imagine a bed of water in front of me, the more energy was starting to seep away from me. All those accumulations of aura were starting to drain out of me in a useless way. In fact, with my Nemca shifting wildly away, I began to feel more tired than ever. I didn't want to give up though, even though I was losing the battle. It was like a tug-a-war. Only my opponent was this ocean of strength that defied against my will. Deep inside, I was angry. Angry that I was a failure at everything. Angry that everyone was ignoring me. Angry that my life was nothing but misery. I wanted to show them that I was not just a nobody. I wanted to show them that I was also a dragon that had feelings, emotions, and sentient thoughts. I was not just a tool, just a punching bag, or just somebody that could be ridiculed over and over again without any consequences.
The more I had these thoughts swelling in the back of my mind, the more fury was building up. Now I had a chance to prove to others that I was better than them and I couldn't even accomplish one measly little enchantment! Fuck this!
With a scream, I opened up my eyes. They were dark orange as I continued to roar into the sky. All the hatred within me were spilt out and I couldn't even notice Kasaran gaping at me from afar, as he just came back happily with a large wild boar in his arms. A torrential wave of energy exploded outward as I continued to bellow as loud as I could. The ground beneath me sank downward and pieces of soil shot upward. I could feel my Nemca slithering around my body in a blanket of light silver. At last, I focused everything into one single focal point in the middle of my palms while I stretched out my arms with my veins bulging out of my flesh. A clear image of a cool water droplet engraved solidly into my mind.
Without warning, a massive detonation occurred as several tones of water blew into the air and merged into a mega sphere. Nearly all of the water in the giant lake was hovering above the ground. A heavy shower of water rained from the sky from the initial explosion. Translucent bubbles as big as a deer twirled within the ball of navy-colored liquid. Around the outer edge of the sphere, several streams of water shot out and curved around the entity. I glared at the scene in front of me, while I continued to focus my mind and my aura. The area was filled with a power that could not be described with words. Trees and grass seemed to be light up brightly in a shower of golden beams. They were fluttering under the intense pressure generated by me. My wings were extending widely and my tail was straight behind me. I gritted my teeth. The rage seemed to be pouring forth on and on, like an endless wave of ocean water.
Finally, I couldn't hold it much longer and fall onto the ground with sweat drenching my body. The massive sphere of water suddenly broke apart and came crashing down onto the lakebed with a deafening roar. The ground trembled for a while before everything settled within a thick mist of vapor. I was on all fours while panting heavily and squinting my eyes. The rage was still there. I grasped a handful of grass with tears flowing out of my eyes. I started pounding the soggy ground and every time my fist came into contact with the disturbed soil, it was smeared with a coat of cold and slippery mud.
When I felt a hand touching my back, I whirled around and swung my left fist at the assailant. But I stopped immediately when I saw it was Kasaran. He was looking at me with eyes filled with fear as he fell onto his butt and shivered.
"It's... it's me! Ararez! It's me!" He shouted as he tried to talk some sense into me.
I was still heaving my chest while trying to gulp down enough air to calm myself down. With orange eyes still fixing dangerously onto Kasaran's face, the only thought that went through my mind was to kill. Yet, I couldn't. I couldn't. I just couldn't. He was my love. He was everything. If I killed him, then I would have to kill myself. I just couldn't. I.... Suddenly, I broke down and started weeping. Kneeling in front of him, I buried my head into my arms as my body shuddered. Kasaran saw how confused and dazed I was.
Tenderly, he cuddled me against his chest. "It's okay, Ararez.... It's okay. I was not hurt. It's okay...."
"It's not okay!" I screamed. My voice cracked and muffled as I cried against his warm body. "It's not okay! I don't even know what's going on anymore! Why must it be like this? Tell me!"
He offered no answer as he continued to hug me tightly. I could hear him crying with me too and that had made me felt worse. Before I could say anything more, he lifted my head and kissed me gently on the lips.
"Ararez. You are who you are. There's nothing to deny about it. And no matter what you do, I'll always be with you because I love you. So it's all right, really."
I just gazed at him with tears flooding my eyes. Kasaran wiped away his own tears as he laughed.
"It feels good just letting it out, doesn't it?" He knew how I was feeling. He knew.
The anger slowly melted away into blankness as I continued to look at him. Finally, I gave him a kiss on the lips and pushed him onto the ground. As oddly as it seemed, with how Kasaran understood what I was going through, it only made me loved him more. And at the time, I just wanted him to myself. He was everything to me. Within minutes, both of our cocks were covered with saliva and pre cum, as we took turn fucking each other's ass with great passion. It was a mood that no one would comprehend, for the relationship between me and Kasaran was sacred and unique only to us. And I was even more turned on when I saw Kasaran on all fours in front of me with his back arcing beneath me, while my dick was pumping in and out of his anus with wet slurping sounds. Every time I pushed in, I could feel his muscles contracting and sliding around my rock hard member. It was hot inside and my dick was enveloped in a sea of pure pleasure. I held onto his tail as my hip moved with a good rhythm. Before I could ejaculate into him, he stopped me and we exchanged places. Then it was me that felt a hot, throbbing dragon cock inserting into my ass at a snail's pace. I begged for more, but Kasaran wanted to tease me further. Although it wasn't long before he couldn't hold back and started fucking me harder and faster with more tiring breaths.
It was an hour later when I was kneeling on the muddy ground with Kasaran standing in front of me. His right hand was jerking his long and red cock as I opened up my mouth greedily. Soon, he groaned and shot load after load of steamy cum onto my face, mouth, tongue, neck, and chest. Several shots slowly trickled down my flesh as I opened and closed my mouth, tasting the salty flavor of the semen from my lover. Thin strands of cum draped across my fangs and tongue while I opened up my mouth again and began to lick his beautiful cock. After a brief moment of licking and sucking, Kasaran bent over before me and started sucking my member. I was already in such a heat that it didn't take me long to blow my load. He moaned as he sucked hard and deep while gulping down my seeds. I could feel his wet tongue tickling and caressing the head of my penis. I slid my hands all over his body, feeling the sweat that covered my palms. He then released my member and started kissing from my belly and up to my neck. We then embraced each other and kissed more. I could feel my still throbbing dick brushing against his, as our bodily fluid was spread all over ourselves.
"Feeling better?" Kasaran said between lickings of our tongues.
I had to stop for a bit to say: "Yes."
He continued to lick my neck as I groaned. Then he said: "I guess we don't need to eat lunch?"
I grasped his cock and he gasped in delight. Feeling the pulsing shaft, I smirked and said: "How about we leave it to supper time?"
And with that, he laughed and started stroke my own dick. I knew that it wasn't over yet for our love making session. Although during this pleasurable moment, deep inside of me, I still felt a sinister creature waiting for the perfect moment to appear. I didn't know what to do about that.
To be continued....
Talone wasn't happy to hear that we were being driven away by other dragons (although we had told him that it was our decision to leave in the first place). He went off in anger to approach the elders of Aro and demanded that they should send out an announcement to clear our images and names.
