EPISODE 6
NEW YEARS EVE

10:00 AM

“Please people calm down we will try to get to all of you.” The man screamed over the bullhorn. People tried to get into the store to get their New Years hats and noisemakers. The store had very little supply of items. The man was beginning to worry as the people were now pushing each other. One of the people there was Amanda. She had waited till the last minute to get the supplies since she was now working.
“Come on motherfucker and let me through.” Some man screamed.
“This is fucking crazy. This store needs more employees.” Some fat lady yelled to some cashier. Amanda regretted that she waited till the end.

10:25 AM

Liam awoke to the sound of people already making noise. Never have he thought that people in New York would be so excited like this. He got up from his bed and made his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He was going to call Brian and ask him if he wanted to come over tonight for New Years. Liam jumped in the shower and he was happy that the shower was drowning out the noise in his hallway.

10:30 AM

David kissed Theresa on the forehead as he woke up. Theresa had spent the night over at David’s house. They held each other and talked about their future together. David made his way to the kitchen to make breakfast. Theresa lay there sleeping. David scrambled some eggs in a bowl and threw some bread in the toaster.
“Good morning honey.” David turned around.
“Hey mom. How was your night?” She poured herself some orange juice.
“Well I’m worried about your father. I have no idea what is going on. I can’t take anymore heartache.” She sat down on the chair. David put the bowl down and sat next to her. He put his hand on her shoulder.
“I know what you mean mom. I have been going through some stuff as well.” She looked at him with worry in her face.
“What’s wrong honey?” David got up from the chair and made his way back to the stove to start cooking the eggs. “David what is going on with you?”
“Theresa was pregnant with our baby.” David stopped what he was doing. He was scared that his mom would start screaming.
“Wow. That is big news. So are you not ready to have a baby? Is that the problem?”
“No I was ready. The problem is that she lost the baby when she fell down the steps. It is killing me but I’m trying to be strong for me and her.” David pushed the button down on the toaster.
“I’m so sorry honey. It will be okay and you two will get another chance to have a baby. You both have your lives ahead of you.” She got up from the chair and made her way over to the stove. “Go to Theresa and I’ll bring the food to the room. Go now.” She pushed him away from the stove.
“Thanks mom. I know that daddy is okay. So don’t worry anymore.” He kissed her on the cheek and made his way to Theresa. There she was still sleeping. David watched her on his bed. She looked stunning there. He loved her and he knew that what his mother said was true. He never planned on leaving her. So when the time is right that baby will come. He walked over to her and kissed her.

11:20 AM

Kimberly made her way to her father’s room to wake him up. His door was closed which was unusual. She knocked on the door but there was no answer. She knocked again.
“Dad are you okay in there?” She turned the knob on the door and slowly opened it. The creaked as she pushed it open. There was her father sleeping. She walked over to him. When she reached him she noticed that his arm was around someone a woman. She slowly turned around and began to walk out the door when she heard the woman speak.
“Baby I’m hungry.” She noticed the voice right away. She stopped at the door and she turned around. The woman did not get up yet so she didn’t see her face. Kimberly walked back to them and she yanked the cover off of them. They were both dressed.
“What the hell?” Her father yelled. The woman looked at Kimberly and smiled.
“Hey honey. How have you been?” Kimberly was furious.
“Hello mother. What a pleasure to see you.” Kimberly picked the cover up off the floor and threw it back on the bed. “Dad I was wondering if I could have some cash for today. We are all going to David’s house for New Years.” He nodded his head and was about to get up. “I know where the money’s at I’ll get it myself.” Kimberly made her way to the dresser to get the cash.
“So I hear that you made friends and that you have a loving boyfriend.” Her mother told her.
“Thanks dad for the cash. I love you and I’ll call you later. I’m going to meet shop and meet Brian. So bye.” Her mother looked at her father.
“I see that she’s not harboring any bad feelings for me.”

12:45 PM

Brian and Carl made their way to the nursing home. Brian told Carl that he would keep him company. Carl didn’t hate the idea at all.
“So how is Liam man?” Brian looked at Carl with a suspicious face.
“He does not love me man.”
“Okay all I asked was how was he doing. We haven’t seen him in awhile.”
“He’s okay. The last time I saw him was at the last meeting we had. We are both progressing.”
“That’s good to hear. You gave all the scare of our lives that night. You do that shit again and I’ll kill you myself.” Brian laughed. They finally reached the nursing home. Brian looked around at all the elderly people in there.
“Damn who would be so grimy enough to put a parent in here?” Carl looked at Brian. “Sorry man.” Brian said. They walked through the hall and Brian felt so weird being there. Just the Elma rolled up to Carl and Brian. Carl looked at her.
“Great it’s you.” Elma smiled at him.
“Who is she?” Brian asked Carl as he leaned into him.
“This is Elma. She is some old lady that needs some serious help.” Carl smiled at her.
“Your mother knows the truth you know. Too bad that they moved me from my room before I had the chance to talk to her.” Carl leaned down to talk to her face to face.
“You better stop filling my mothers head with that bullshit you been seeing. You don’t know what you are talking and I am sick of you and your stupid visions.”
“Carl what is she talking about?” Carl got up.
“Nothing man she’s a little sick in the head trust me.” They began to walk away from her. Brian grazed Elma’s hand with his leg. She jumped up.
“Oh my God another one. You are pure evil.” Brian looked at her. “I see her. I can hear her screaming. It’s all your fault.” Brian wondered what she was talking about.
“See she’s crazy. Let’s go Brian.” They started to walk again.
“This world is just filled with evil. And they are all young.” Elma began to roll herself down the hall again.

2:35 PM

Amanda knocked on the door. She was hoping that nobody was home. She hated that she had to go see those people. Just then the door opened up and there was Melinda.
“Hello Amanda. Come in.” She opened the door wider and instructed for her to come in.
“I’m just here to see Thomas for a little while.” She sat on the couch.
“He’s not here right now. Mom took him for a stroll.” Amanda was disappointed.
“Well I guess I’ll go then.” She got up from the couch.
“No stay for a while and talk to me.” Melinda told her. Amanda looked at her. She did miss talking to her. So she sat back down on the couch.
“I’ll stay for a little while but once that woman comes back I’m leaving.” Melinda smiled.
“Sure. Would you like something to drink?”
“No I’m okay. So what do you want to talk about?” Melinda sat in the chair opposite of Amanda.
“There is something that has been haunting me since the last time you came over. It was something you said about a phone call.” Amanda knew what she was talking about.
“So what do you want to know?”
“I want to know what it was that you overheard. I have been noticing mom-acting weird when she gets phone calls now. It is killing me not knowing what is going on.”
“I can’t tell you anything for the simple fact that I don’t know much myself.” Melinda wondered if she was lying to her.
“So tell me what you know so far.” Amanda thought for a while. She didn’t want to tell Melinda anything cause as much as she was mad at her she didn’t want to worry her.
“All I know is that I heard her arguing with someone telling them that she wasn’t going back. So I did some snooping and I got the number out her phone and called. It was a woman that answered. Another time I found some items in her room.”
“What kind of items?”
“’I’m sorry but I cant tell you that. You have to pay more attention to her. I feel that she is hiding something that she didn’t want us to know. And that woman is part of the secret but I don’t know how. Maybe it’s the reason she left.” Amanda saw that she was worrying. “Don’t worry about mo…I mean Holly. She is strong. Just worry about yourself.” Melinda was mad cause she wanted to know the whole truth but she was also happy that Amanda cared about her.
“You know I will.” Amanda got up from the couch.
“I have to go. So you take care.” Amanda hugged Melinda and she made her way to the door. She turned around. “I love you Melinda.” Melinda turned to face her.
“I love you too.” Amanda opened the door and walked out. Melinda sat there and worried what her mother was hiding.

4:37 PM

David prepared for the crew to come over. Usually they would go to Amanda’s house but after what happened David suggested that they all come to his house. He went into the kitchen where his mother was preparing the dinner. She cut up the onions and she threw the noodles in the pot. David watched her. He knew that she was strong but he also knew that she couldn’t take anymore pain. If something happened to his dad it would kill her since that was her first true love and they were together for years. David felt that if his job weren’t so demanding of him they would have still been together. But she couldn’t take it anymore so she divorced him. David hated what happened cause then his mother felt that she needed someone there so she went to the first guy that shower her attention which was Derrick. She stirred the noodles. David left the kitchen and made his way back to his room to get dressed.

5:30 PM

“Finally I got in contact with you. I was wondering if you wanted to stop by later tonight.” Liam said to Brian.
“Sure I would love that. I’ll see you after midnight. I’ll stop by to spend the night with you.” Liam rubbed lotion on his arms.
“Good cause I was hoping for a round two from the other night.” Liam smiled as he listened to Brian’s voice.
“So I’ll call you when I’m on my way…Oh wait the phones won’t work so I’ll just stop by. Be ready for me.”
“You know I will sexy.” Liam said bye and he hung up.

5:45 PM

There was a knock at Brian’s door. He opened it and there stood Kimberly in the new dress that she brought.
“Damn girl you look in that dress.” She did a turn so that he could see the whole thing.
“Thank you baby. So are you ready to go?” She looked entered the house.
“Almost all I have to do is throw my shirt on. I’ll be right back.” Brian made his way to his room. Kimberly sat on the couch and she looked around. Just then she noticed a picture of him and Liam laughing and looking to cozy. Brian came out and he made his way to her.
“What is this?” She took the picture of the table that it lay on.
“Oh that was some pictures that Liam and I took yesterday at one of those little photo booths. He wanted to so I said sure.” She looked at it with suspicion.
“Why does he look so comfortable with you? He looks like he is love with you in this picture.” Brian swallowed hard.
“Kimberly please stop it. Not tonight. He sees me as a brother. I have been there for him to talk to. He has nobody not even family. So I’m his only friend. So stop it and let’s go.” Kimberly looked at the picture one more time and threw it back on the table.
“Sorry. Let’s go and have some fun tonight.” They exited the house holding hands.

8:30 PM

The girl sat in the park waiting for her Internet friend to show up. She wanted to find a boyfriend and she felt that this boy was the one. They had been talking online for a month and she felt a connection with him. Too bad that he isn’t the age he said he was. She stood there looking around. There was no one in the park. There was no one anywhere in plain view for that matter. Everyone was out at parties or watching the ball drop or just home relaxing. Just then she heard a branch break. She turned around and there was a man. A bald headed man. He stopped in front of her.
“May I help you sir?” She looked at him as fear rose up in her body.
“What is a beautiful girl like you doing out here at this time of night alone?” He smiled at her.
“I’m waiting for my father to show up.” She looked away from him.
“Why are you lying to me?” She turned to face him again.
“Listen if you don’t get away from me I will scream for help.”
“Who will hear you? There is no one out here. Why do you think I agreed to meet you on this night? Huh blinggirl06?”
“You’re Lyonger?” He smiled and then he punched her in the face knocking her out cold.
“This is going to be a great New Years.”

11:40 PM

“So what was the most memorable moment from this year that you will take with you in the next year?” David asked the crew.
“Well I know that I wasn’t part of the crew but I will have to say meeting Amanda and falling for her and meeting you guys.” Jordan said.
“Awww ain’t that sweet.” David said. Amanda punched him in the arm.
“Well mine would have to be meeting you Jordan. I am looking forward to see what the New Year will hold for us.” Amanda leaned over and kissed him.
“ I would have to say that mine would be Elma the crazy woman from the nursing home. No let me stop kidding. I would have to say that I grew and found out more about myself. The fact that I was strong enough to put my mother in there proves that I can do anything cause that was the hardest thing I ever did.”
“Well Carl that was something hard to do and I’m proud of you cause she needed help.” David said.
“Well David what is yours?” Brian asked.
“I would say the fact that this is the longest relationship I ever had and I still haven’t got sick and tired of it.” He laughed and Theresa hit him.
“You are such a comedian. Mines would be that we are all still here together after what we been through this year. I just hope that the New Year holds better days for us all.” They all nodded and agreed.
“Mines would be that my mother is here in New York.”
“What she is here? After leaving you and you father she comes here?”
“It’s okay guys she won’t be here for long.” Kimberly said.
“That’s crazy baby. Mines are you and that fact that I love you and I have never been in love like this before. Also the fact that I have some amazing friends that stood by me as I got help. This is all amazing. Thank you all so much. Also the fact that I have to piss.” Brian got up from the couch and made his way to the bathroom. He did what he had to do and he turned the water on to wash his hands. He saw something from the corner of his eye. There on the wall was a mirror and there inside of it was the woman.
“What do you want?”
“I see that you and your friends are having fun. I also notice that someone is missing.”
“Liam is home.”
“But you love him. Why are you hiding him away? Why don’t you tell your friends and your girlfriend?” Are you scared?”
“No I’m not. Liam and I are only close friends.”
“Good keep it that way cause he is a fucking little sneak. And that Kimberly girl ain’t any better either.”
“What? She is the best.” Brian was mad.
“That’s what you think. She is just as bad as Liam maybe even worst.”
“You have no idea what you are talking about.”
“Yes I do honey. Before I go let me warn you about two more things, be there for Amanda cause in the New Year she will need it and you will need to make a decision and what you choose will change your life.” The woman then disappeared. Brian stood there staring at himself in the mirror.
“Let’s go Brian the countdown is about to start.” Amanda screamed. Brian made his way back to them. They all stood there watching the television.
“Here we go guys.” David said.
“10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…”
