Chapter 6

Blaine, a little unnerved by his own thoughts, continued on his way out of the mansion. He looked to the eastern horizon and saw the lightening shades of the dawn that was soon to come. He sighed and said softly to himself "Better make this quick..." He continued on his path down to the town and saw the early starters heading out to their feilds. He spotted out two young people, a boy and a girl, a little older than Novus, and headed in their direction, already casting his charms in their direction. He planned on using so much of the influencial charms that he would break the male's mind, and force the girl to come willingly. He had no time to waste at this point. He would force the both of them under his complete control. He gaze never left the two as he approached them, close enough now to be able to speak normally and they would be able to hear and respond to him. "Why, hello there... Out for a morning stroll, or out to the feilds?" He could tell now, as since the two looked nothing alike, that they had to be a couple or really good friends, considering how the male's arm was slung around the girl's shoulders.

"Out to the fields.....there's still some planting to do," the male responded, but his voice sounded empty and submissive, a result of the vampire's charms. As for the girl, she regarded Blaine with a curious gaze, but kept close to the boy.

Blaine nodded and turned his gaze upon the girl to weaken, but not break, her mind. "And you? Going to help him? Or going against your father's orders?" Blaine knew that in this day and age, human girls did not go out with boys against their fathers' wills or without other supervision. They could easily run across the evil that was Blaine's kind.
More often than not, it was Blaine himself. He suspected she might be a little harder to bend, so Blaine used a sudden surge of his powers on the girl, hoping to bend her easily.

The young woman blinked, and even seemed to wobble a little. The young man didn't even notice anything was wrong with her...he just kept his glazed-over eyes on the vampire. "Oh....my father...please don't tell him you saw us together," the woman pleaded, but her voice was soft and tired sounding. She even took a step towards Blaine, head tilted slightly.

~Then come with me.... He'll never know....~ He put the message into both of their heads, certain that they would follow willingly at this point. The sun was beginning to rise a little faster now and Blaine was being pushed farther and farther to the edge than he would have liked. Blaine's concentration on the task at hand, however, and he shut out all other thoughts that might have swayed his opinon. His cold, yet warm, blue eyes remained locked on the young girl, trying to further bend her mind to him.

The girl blinked and smiled, apparently reasurred by this. She grabbed her boyfriend's hand and pulled him a long with her. "Where are you going?" she asked Blaine, smiling up at him as if he were the most gorgeous thing she had seen in her entire life. The young man just blinked, also watching Blaine, but not saying anything.

Blaine dropped behind the pair, resting a hand on their shoulders. "Why, to my home, dear. Surely, you've seen the mansion at the top of the hill just outside of town? Haven't you ever desired to see what was inside?" Blaine kept most of his thoughts turned to the boy. He still wasn't sure if he had the young boy completely under his control yet.

The girl nodded, eyes wide. "Oh, you live there?? I never knew! Everyone always used to say it was haunted..." she said, looking thoughtful. As for the young man, he hadn't said much, if anything at all the whole time. It was hard to tell if he was even intelligent or not, his gaze was so blank....or he kept it that way on purpose. His long, straight black hair was up in a messy ponytail, and his clothes and skin had dirt on them here or there. "Oh..." the girl said, still pulling her boyfriend along. "Akuji, come on. Keep up now..." she said, and the boy quickened his pace a little to keep up. Akuji was a strange name, something that sounded foreign to this part of the world. His eyes were an amber color, surrounded by long dark eyelashes.

Blaine scowled slightly and poured more of his magical abilities into the young man's mind, still not fully confident he had broken him yet. He led the two to the door and inside the large mansion. "Welcome to my humble home, young ones." He closed and locked the door behind them. He had completely forgotten about the pool of Novus's blood in the entrance hall, but didn't worry about the girl seeing it and screaming. His worry was the young man. What if Blaine had foolishly brought a Hunter into his own home? Granted, Blaine could fight him off, but if Blaine was slain, Novus would have no protection in the coming dawn. His worry caused his magic to surge even more into both of their minds, the boy catching a little more than half of the surge.

The young woman didn't notice the blood, her mind was so distracted by the overflow of power that threatened to fry her mind. She collapsed to the floor, sitting, but leaning forward on her hands. As for the young man, he wobbled slightly, but stood his ground. The whites of his amber eyes began to turn black as he stared at Blaine....a demon trait. He bared his teeth at Blaine, and his gums were black. He smelled human...but there was a faint hint of something else there, so faint though because this particular being hadn't fed properly in a very long time. He leaned down and embraced the girl, hissing at Blaine as his teeth turned quite sharp and pointed. His nails also grew long and black. This was definitely one pissed-off demon.
Meanwhile Novus, the curious boy he was, was halfway down the stairs. "Blaine...what is that?!" he shouted, eyes wide. This was the mortal Novus, the teasing, frightened one.

Blaine's attention turned to Novus for a split second. "Shit..." He turned back to the demon and flew at him, teeth bared, the whites of his eyes blood red. "Show me your true nature, demon, and begone from here!" He stopped, a split second from attacking the demon. Possibly a fatal maneuver that could cost him his life. He wanted to know the true nature of this demon before taking anymore action. Novus was in danger. ~Get away from here little one. I'll not risk you getting hurt. Remain inside the building. If our connection fails, flee to the Prince with all haste. Let him know that I fell here.~

Instead of running back upstairs, Novus ran the rest of the way downstairs, then fled down the long corridor to the door that he knew led to Blaine's resting place. Daylight was approaching. ~Blaine!~ Novus called out, standing at the top of the stairs that led down to the basement rooms. ~Just ignore them for now...the sun comes soon...!~ the immortal boy pointed out, fleeing downstairs.
The black-haired demon hissed and screetched at Blaine, but did not attack him. He kept his arms wrapped around the young woman protectively as two pairs of pitch-black wings burst from the skin and muscle on his back.

Blaine clutched his head in pain, both from the screeching and from the fastly approaching dawn. Blaine roared at the demon once for good measure. He quickly followed Novus down to his resting place, locking both doors behind him. He grabbed Novus a little rougher than he would have liked in his haste to get to his coffin.
The coffin was made completely of reinforced steel. It didn't sit directly on the ground, but it didn't sit on a table either. Rather, it could be compared to the tombs that held the long dead pharoahs of Egypt. The entire thing had the same dimensions all around and was, obviously, connected to the floor and stood at about waist height to Blaine. For most others, Novus included, it would rest right against the small of the back. Although it wasn't visible even with the lid open, inside the coffin was a button right under where Blaine's hand would rest. Even in his sleep, Blaine would still be able to sense danger. It would be at those times when he would need to press that button. Upon being pressed, the foot end of the bed of the coffin would drop down, propelling Blaine into a secret underground chamber. The bed would then replace itself and no one would be able to tell what had happened to the vampire. The coffin was also large enough for both Blaine and Novus to sleep in comfortably, that is, if one slept on top of the other.
The sun outside peaked over the horizon. Blaine, his senses linked with the night, tumbled over, falling on Novus, his momentum, carried by his weight, sending them straight for the edge of the coffin. Blaine had finally blacked out from lack of blood and the rest that he now deperately needed.

Novus squeaked at being suddenly pinned by the unconcious Blaine. He pushed at him, and, being desperate, found the strength to somehow manage to get Blaine inside the coffin. Novus's chest heaved as he struggled to catch his breath, tiring quickly. With one last effort he hoisted himself into the coffin and shut the lid. Now it was completely pitch-black darkness....Novus sighed, laying his head down on Blaine's shoulder and closed his eyes. They lay stomach to stomach, Novus with his legs draped on each side of Blaine. He quickly fell into a deep, unnatural slumber....his first as a new Diabolizer.

~Later that night~

Blaine awoke to find both Novus and himself in the underground chamber he had created under the bed of his coffin. Perhaps he still felt a lingering danger from the demon. He looked around, his eyes well adjusted to the pitch blackness of the plain room. He stood up and yanked a cord that attached to his bed. A ladder fell out, as did the bed and the lid popped open. Blaine, now having a little more light, took the chance to look Novus over, to insure that the little one had not been hurt in the fall or in the flight/fight.

Novus was fine, but he was sleeping so deeply that he wasn't even breathing. Blaine's movements didn't seem to disturb him.
Meanwhile, that demon was still somewhere in Blaine's house. It didn't emit so much angry energy now. It was calmer, as if it was in some room, reclining on a couch or something. As for why it hadn't left the mansion, that was a mystery.

Blaine panted a little and looked around the little enclosure. A sharp pain kicked him in the left side, just below his ribs. He was starving and needed to feed and desperately. He didn't have the strength to fight the demon off by himself but he didn't want to loose face in front of the Prince. Too much was risked if he called on the Prince to help him. Still, Novus was too young for this type of battle, and Blaine was much to weak. He had to risk it. He cursed his carelessness for bringing a demon into his own home in the first place as he called out to the Prince. ~My Prince... I am in need of assistance. I have unknowingly allowed a demon inside my home and I am too weak to fight it off. Neither the young Diabolizer or I have been hurt yet, but I can't chance anything right now. I beg of you, please, to help me...~ The message sounded weak, even to him, but it had to do until he could manage a more proper reply to the Prince's questionings later, when he and Novus went to see him.

The Prince sent an acknowledgement that he had heard Blaine's call, but did not actually speak.
A few minutes later, there was some scuffling upstairs. The demon shrieked and hissed quite a few times, but there were no sounds hinting as to who its attacker might be. Then there was a huge crash....this noise woke Novus. His eyes snapped open and he bolted upright, looking around and listening. "Blaine??" he asked, then spotted him. "What...?" he inquired, keeping close to his Master. The house above was now silent, except for a residual dark power that seemed to throb from some source above. It wasn't the demon's or the Prince's. But it waited for Blaine and Novus to come back upstairs.

Blaine sighed without turning back to Novus. "Just taking care of a problem, little one." He started the climb back up to his resting chambers. He turned to look at Novus when he reached the lid. "Stay here, little one. I'll call for you when I'm satisfied that it's safe." He didn't wait for conformation. He just jumped out and went into the entrance hall of his home and looked around.

Novus blinked, but did as he was told. He stayed in the underground chamber, sitting in one corner.
The being emitting the dark aura was standing up at the top of the stairs. He had the demon leashed and laying down at his feet. "Blaine," the dark individual called. He grinned....a smile that seemed to stretch almost to his ears, and was loaded with sharp pointed teeth. Dark, messy bead-head partly obscured his smokey, reddish-brown eyes. It was no other than Laepheus, the Prince's number one henchman.
"And why, Blaine," the man continued, pulling the leash tighter and stepping on the demon hard enough to make him squeak with pain, "Am I in your house, hunting a pest such as this?" he inquired. The Prince had only told him what to do, not why. "Do you even know what this is??" he asked of Blaine, the onyx piercings in his face not reflecting any light at all. There was a stud in his tongue, lower lip, a loop in his left eyebrow, and many earrings decorated his slightly pointed ears. Black as his hair. Black as his nails. Black as the leather leash he gripped.

Blaine let out a sigh of relief and visibly slumped a little. ~Come up little one. It's safe.~ Blaine looked up at Lapheus with a slight grin on his face. He vampire teeth still had yet to receed fully, but they weren't quite all the way out yet. "Lapheus, old friend... You know me well enough to be able to tell when I haven't eaten in a while. I've been rather busy lately. I was so hungry last night, and so was my new Diabolizer that I had to go and get us something to eat. I slipped up in my hunger. I couldn't even tell until the last minute that that thing," he points at the demon "was a demon. I practically fought the dawn just trying to feed, Lapheus. One could say I'm almost going insane living here..." He finally shut up, knowing Novus was due at any moment.
Blaine's mind drifted back to the girl and he looked around, sniffing, with a wild glint in his eye that made him seem almost feral.

Laepheus laughed, tilting his head slightly. "Yes yes, you do look quite hungry. Had a long night, hm..." he said, coming down the stairs and dragging the demon along with him. Novus poked his head into the room, looking around before scooting to Blaine's side, half hiding behind him.
"The girl's dead," Lae told Blaine, then shrugged his shoulders. "It seemed this thing took her out without meaning to." And now that Lae had mentioned it, black tears were streaming down the demon's face. He was bound painfully yes, but he did seem quite remorseful as well. Novus studied the demon from Blaine's side, hypnotic eyes wide. Meanwhile, Lae studied Novus with dark, narrowed eyes. "That's a pretty one you got there, Blaine," he commented, giving him a smirk.

Blaine's exhaustion, coupled with his extreme hunger, made him a little bit more overprotective over Novus than usual. His lips peeled away from his teeth to bare them in a low snarl. He eyebrows shot together and his fangs protruded over his lower lip. His arms shot behind him to keep Novus fully behind his body. The reaction was just pure instinct. In this state, he wouldn't hurt Novus, but, instead of using his charms to have a victim come willing to him, he'd just reach out and feed, not caring about the consequences that could come of his actions.

Novus kept behind Blaine, not even peeking around him to see what was going on.
"Well," Lae said, the grin still lingering on his face. "Do you want to feed of this demon? It's an elder incubus, but quite weak at the moment. Want him?" Lae offered, pulling the leash forward a little. The demon coughed as the leash choked him.
Novus began to tremble behind Blaine, his fingers gripped the back of Blaine's shirt.

Blaine's snarl quickly turned into a growl at being offered an incubus. Even in his wildest of states, Blaine knew the incubus kind was not one to feed from. Blaine had even been saved by an elder incubus once; he wasn't about to turn on them now, and especially not with Novus in his life.
Blaine's growl cut off short and he turned around on his heel and stormed out of the door, his hand banded a little too tightly around Novus's upper arm. Blaine needed to feed, and desperately. He had considered attacking Lae, a lifelong friend of his. He stopped, finally, when he reached the gate. He let go of Novus and turned to face him. His teeth were still out, preventing the closing of his mouth. "We both need to feed, little one. I can't think... clearly in this state.... Argh...." He shakes his head a little to try and clear it. "Go... Go feed little one.... Meet me back here... If I'm not back before you... Hide in the bushes or something.... And contact me if something happens... Immediately...." He gave Novus a sorrowful look for a few seconds. Suddenly, his movements blurred by speed, he sped off into the night in search of prey.

Lae smiled broadly. He knew Blaine wouldn't take the demon for himself. That's exactly what Lae didn't want to happen. Lae planned to take this one to the Prince. "Won't I get a hefty reward for you, eh..." Lae said, as he gripped the leash tight and teleported them both to the Prince's mansion.
"Ah...!" Novus complained as Blaine pulled him out of the mansion. When they were outside, Novus stood rubbing his upper arm and looking up at Blaine. "Alright..." he said, nodding, then watched Blaine go. Then he turned his new blue eyes towards the city, seeming to steady it before he headed out.
Novus had hunted on his own for about 2 years now. He kept to the shadows and alley ways, peeking in windows as he searched for a potential victim. He did not yet know how to shadow phase...which was a great disadvantage to him. Without that skill, he had to sneak in through windows or doors, just like any other tresspassing human would.

The night was dark enough that Blaine, in all of his black clothes, didn't feel like he had to stick to the shadows. He stalked around, and, after a short while, came upon an unsupecting victim, enjoying a cigarette before going home. Blaine came up behind him slowly and softly. Quickly he reached out and grabbed him by the mouth and the chest and crushed the man against his own body. Blaine let out a low growl before sinking his well matured fangs deep into the man's neck and drinking deeply.

For Novus, there were plenty of homes with girls his age just sleeping away in their beds. Quite a few were heavy sleepers, having been out with their fathers' earlier that day, helping raise the winter crops.
Novus slinked down an alley way, then came across a door that luckily, had a large enough dog-door cut out of it for him to squeeze through. Once inside, he snuck through the small apartment, his feet making no noise upon the floor. He found a the room of a cleaning woman who was in her mid-twenties, and decided she would do. He crouched beside her bed, carefully sending out distracting, lovely dreams to occupy her mind. This would hopefully keep her from waking and discovering what was really happening. Then he stood, pulled back her bedcovers and pushed up her nightgown. He studied her in the dark for a few seconds, then carefully climbed onto the bed, and over her. He hesitated, watching her face...but she still slept. Good. Novus undid his pants, then leaned down to sink his little fangs into the woman's neck. He only took a pint or so before licking the wound closed, and better positioning himself to the enter the woman and begin the work towards acquiring her soul for his own consumption.

Meanwhile, Blaine pulled back from the now dead man. His eyes, normally a blue color, were now blood red and shone like a cat's eyes in the moonlight. His chin covered in blood, Blaine looked around, searching out another victim. He growled shortly and took off. A few seconds later, the man's body hit the ground with no sign of Blaine anywhere. To any who might have seen it, it would have appeared that Blaine just disappeared.
A short while later, Blaine happened upon a young woman. This lady was an aristocrat, and barely 25. Blaine smiled, the act seeming malicious because of his fangs. He sent out the charming waves to bring her to him in the dark of the alley. To his great pleasure she came right over. Blaine sighed against the skin of her neck. Due to the blood from before, his organ had swelled. Now he needed to get off so he wouldn't do anything too irrational. In seconds Blaine had the girl stipped naked and had her on the ground, using his charms to keep her from screaming out. He was basically going to rape the girl who wasn't married and was probably still a virgin.

Only about ten minutes later, Novus had finished what he needed to do and had eaten the cleaning woman's soul. He bit her neck again and took what was left of her blood, then licked the wound closed. The scars were barely visible. He then pulled her nightgown back down, and replaced the bed covers over her body. Except for being quite pale, she appeared as if she was just sleeping. Novus left the house the way he had gotten in, only making a little noise as he squeezed out the dog-door. He stopped just outside in the alley way, pausing, listening for something. He located Blaine mostly on instinct, and wandered in that direction. He stopped and sat down on a crate just around the corner from where Blaine was, not wanting to disturb him.

It didn't take long for Blaine to rip through the woman's virginity and kill her, not from loss of blood, but from his forcefulness with her. He then drained her of her blood, feeling much better and left her there, not even bothering to fix her up so it'd just look like she had died from a vampire bite.
Blaine searched Novus out with his mind. He chuckled and walked around the corner and leaned over Novus. He still hadn't wiped the blood from his chin yet, and the more recent blood had begun to drip down his neck. "I thought I had told you to wait for me back at the mansion?..." He chuckles again. "Well, saves us both the effort..."

"I didn't want to walk all that way by myself," Novus told Blaine, looking up at him. He paused as the crimson blood dripped, then wrapped an arm around Blaine's neck to pull him close. Novus licked up most of the blood from Blaine's skin, purring slightly.

Blaine growled deeply and smiled to himself. Being totally immersed in his feeding and other needs, Blaine had totally forgotten that he could be a messy eater when it came right down to it. Blaine continued to lean against the wall and held the back of Novus's head as he bared his throat. He didn't feel the eyes that were upon him from some dark corner of the alleyway.
From that "some dark corner of the alleyway," a young girl, by all appearances watched the two. She sighed softly to herself and walked away, as silent as a shadow, headed in the direction of the Prince's lodging's.

Novus licked Blaine clean, working his way up Blaine's neck until he found his mouth. His petite pink tongue lapped at Blaine's chin and lips, but he did not try to kiss him. Instead he got distracted. He had cleaned Blaine's neck and face, but still smelt blood on him. He leaned down and adrubtly pulled the front hem of Blaine's pants down a little. The virgin blood of the woman Blaine had just had his way with was what Novus had smelled. Novus now licked at that, hunger driving him.

Blaine leaned heavily on the wall for support, his fangs (which had been receeding) now coming back out. He exhaled slowly and loudly. He moaned, "Oh god.... Novus..." His fingers tightened in Novus's hair and his organ sprang to life.

Novus continued to lick the blood away from Blaine's skin, his hands lightly gripping Blaine's hips for support. His tongue was warm, because his meal earlier had given him a more normal body temperature, at least for now. After a slight pause to swipe his lips clean with his tongue, Novus opened his mouth and took Blaine in. His tongue stroked the underside of Blaine's erection while his teeth scraped along the top, but not hard enough to break the skin.

Blaine's knees threated to give out on him. He leaned nearly his full weight upon the wall now. He moaned deeper, the sound coming out with a growl in it. Even though he had just gotten off, Novus still managed to keep Blaine at the height of his lust. There was no denying that Blaine lusted strongly after Novus. But with the lust, there also ran a deep love for the young Diabolizer. However, Blaine was not thinking at this point in time. Blaine glanced down, then closed his eyes and let his head fall back, where it stayed as he let out a long soft growl.

Novus pulled back some, swirling his tongue around Blaine's tip. Then after taking a breath, he took Blaine in again, but more slowly, angling his head and neck just right to open his throat. He took all of Blaine in and swallowed repeatedly to constrict his throat muscles against Blaine in a wave-like pattern. Novus was still a bit hungry, and semen, especially his Master's, was a food source for him. ~Warn me before you come...~ Novus requested, hands beginning to move against Blaine's thighs, massaging.

Blaine moaned a little louder at Novus's swallowing. His hands balled into fists in Novus's hair. He couldn't hold back anymore. ~I-I'm coming...Soon little one~ His body suddenly tensed and his testicles tightened.

Novus growled, causing his hot throat and mouth to vibrate a little. Then he pulled back until only the head was in his mouth. Novus sucked slow but firmly, while the fingertips of one of his hands lightly stroked the underside, barely touching.

Blaine growled loudly, the only sound before his warm cum shot into Novus's mouth. He panted a little and disentangled his hands from Novus's hair, letting one rest on his shoulders. The other propped him up against the wall.
Suddenly, a clapping noise could be heard, not far away. Blaine's head spun around in the direction and he quickly pulled himself away from Novus to zip his pants back up. "Who's there?" he asked to the darkness. A man, who was quite obviously a vampire stepped out from the shadows. This man looked like Blaine's copy. "Shame you don't recognize your own brother when you smell him."

The incubus demon, Akuji, and the other human girl belong to my co-writer. The new vampire, Blaine's twin, is mine.
