Soft Light
This misty morning brightens with light
as the clouds move away,
my eyes are clear but my thoughts persuade,
no ending for this day.
I see her faintly among the flowers
dressed in purest white,
the suns it threatens to remove this dream
and take her from my sight.
The softest light embraces her face
but only from within the rain,
her faded image wavers in the sunlight
as I dare to call her name.
She smiles at me and feels the love
and places a hand on her heart,
she waves goodbye and fades from my sight
and I pray for the rain to start.
A barrier of rainbow colors guards her gate
from where her vision grew,
how do I tell her from across this time
that which must be said.....I love you.
