Raina ate, and was able to get up to get dressed and use the bathroom. In the bathroom she found a comb and began combing through the tangled mass that was her hair. Though it was much shorter than it had been, it was still thick. She didn't know where she was, but it seemed that she was in no immediate danger. When Raina was finished she decided to explore, since she seemed to be walking fine now. She made her way down the hall and peered through an open door into what appeared to be an office. An expensive looking computer sat on a large desk and the walls were lined with bookshelves that were full of books of all subjects. Raina ran a finger across the books as she glanced at the titles. She stopped at 'the memoirs of Elizabeth Frankenstein'. Frankenstein had always been her favorite "monster", if you could call him that. She tucked the book under her arm before leaving the room to continue exploring. She walked down a set or stairs that came out into a living room with a comfortable couch and a decent sized TV. Off to the corner there was a table littered with books and a phone. 'he must really love to read' she thought before walking through a nearby doorway into a dining room with a table that had one side pushed to the wall, there was only one chair at the table and all the others sat against the wall. Raina walked through a doorway directly across from the one she had just came in and came into a very sterile looking completely white kitchen. She walked across the white tiles to a door to her right and opened it, outside, it was a beautiful spring day. Raina took her first breaths of fresh air that she had had in months and sat down on the steps leading from the door into what she guessed was the back yard. The landscaping was perfect and the yard was a decent size. Raina took a deep breath before opening her book and just as she got to the first page she heard a loud bark. She looked up in time to see King bounding towards her and shut the book as he reached her. She petted the happy dog as he licked her face and she hugged him close as she whispered 'we're saved' to him. After the dog calmed down he laid on the ground next to the stairs and she began to read again. Raina read for about an hour, enjoying the sun on her skin and the chirping of the birds the whole time. The sun was starting to set and she admitted to herself, she both loved and hated to see it. She stood to go into the house and King followed her in, running ahead of her into the living room. She entered in time to see him jump up on the couch and make himself comfortable. Raina decided to do the same, grabbing the remote from the cushion before plopping down next to the dog. She flipped through the channels a while before deciding she was better off reading. She curled up before picking up where she had left off in the book and dozed off a while later.

Adam entered the house, hanging his light sweatshirt in the small entryway before going into the living room. He had fully intended to just peak in on the woman his father had held captive for who knew how long. He was pleasantly surprised to find her curled up on the couch, asleep with King and a book on the floor beside her. He scooped her up in his arms, being careful not to wake her as he brought her back upstairs to his bedroom. King followed the whole way, jumping onto the bed while he tucked her in. Adam gave the dog a look before petting him on the head and going back downstairs to pull the couch out to sleep.
