CHAPTER SIX

Kyle and Marcus moved after Linda moving further into the building. Kyle looked at Marcus who was clinging to him. Kyle loved his brother but this was getting on his nerves. \"Marcus quit cling to me!\" He snapped at the younger boy. It made Marcus look at him and pull away startled. Kyle looked at him and felt bad for how he snapped at him. \"Marcus I\'m really sorry but you\'ve been so clingy lately.\" He said. \"I just don\'t like it all the time.\" He said.

Marcus looked at him and nodded his head. \"It\'s all right Kyle I understand.\" He said softly. He looked at Linda who had stopped to look at them. Marcus watched her eyes change color and he paled slightly. He backed away from Linda then. \"Kyle that isn\'t Linda.\" He said suddenly. \"Please believe me Kyle it isn\'t her.\" He said.

Kyle looked at Marcus and then Linda. He shook his head at his kid brother. \"Marcus stop it you know that it is Linda just knock it off!\" He yelled and looked at Linda for a minute. \"Sorry his been acting so weird lately.\" He said. and looked at the Marcus for a second.

Linda looked at Marcus and smiled at him and her teeth became jagged. Her form shifted slightly and Marcus\' eyes widened in terror. Linda smiled even more at that before shifting back into the form of Linda. \"Come on guys the other\'s are this way too.\" She said. \"It\'s really cool. She said. She began to move again and Kyle went up to join her.

Marcus looked at them and then followed. \"Kyle please get away from her.\" He said. He was scared of what he had seen. It was then he heard someone screaming downstairs. He looked at Kyle. \"Please let\'s go check the other\'s!\" He was desperate to get Kyle away from the creature who looked like Linda. He began to move back down the stairs and stopped to look at Kyle. His brother was standing there and watching him like he was crazy. Linda was close to his side speaking softly into his ear while she looked at Marcus. She smiled revealing her sharp teeth again.

Kyle looked at Marcus he was feeling funny now that Linda was this close to him. It was like she had some kind of control over him. \"Come on Marcus let\'s go with Linda she knows where the other\'s are.\" he said and held out his hand to his brother willing him to take it. \"I won\'t let anything happen to you.\" he reassured him.

Marcus looked at Linda and then looked at his brother. \"Their screaming Kyle can\'t you hear them. They need help.\" he said. He then looked into his brother\'s eyes and then watched Linda start to talk to him again. He steeled himself and looked at Kyle. \"Please forgive me Kyle.\" he said just before he broke a vase and suddenly rushed forward cutting his brother\'s arm. It seemed to snap him out of it and he blinked his eyes. It was then that Linda\'s form shifted and Marcus stumbled back. \"Kyle get away from her!\" He screamed at him.

Kyle turned and saw Linda\'s transformed shape. He slammed the demon like creature away from him and ran to his brother. He grabbed his hand and started to bolt down the stairs. He was looked at Marcus who tried his best to keep up with his long legged stride. He then looked up the stairs and saw the demon like creature coming after them. He looked at Marcus. \"Come on we have to get further away you can make it.\" he panted. His brother nodded his head and continued to run with him.

Marcus was on the verge of collapsing along with Kyle as they ran. They had to stop and now they did. Kyle held Marcus as they rested keeping his eyes open for the creature so they could bolt again if the need arose soon. Marcus finally was able to breath regularly and suddenly Kyle gave no warning at all just tugged him into a run again. The stairs and hall ways seemed to have gotten longer as they ran. Marcus looked at Kyle to see if he had noticed the same thing. By the way his brother was looking he had.

Marcus looked back seeing the creature gaining on them and looked at Kyle. They continued to run finally coming to the party room and looked around in horror. The remaining people were trying to get away from creatures that looked like large mosquito\'s though the mouth parts were different more like set\'s of jaws made to tear into the flesh. Kyle looked around to see what he could find to help them. Marcus watched as one went at Kyle and grabbed a poker from the fire place slamming it into the creature. It fell to the floor and struggled to get up again. Marcus put the poker down through it and it screamed in agony as it died.

Kyle looked at Marcus and then around again. \"Their bugs right so maybe they just need a gaint bug zapper.\" he said. He knew it was lame but it was the only thing he could think of. \"Any idea\'s?\" he asked. The people saw them and rushed to them they all looked to Kyle for answer\'s. \"Let\'s go into another room and fast.\" he said. \"We can shut them out for a while as we think.\" He said and pointed to a door they made a run for it with the insects close at their heels. Marcus was just infront of his brother who took up the rear. They made it to the room and slammed the door shut but not before two of the insects made it in with them. The other\'s quickly took care of them. Kyle looked at them. \"Okay that will hold them only for a little while any idea\'s on how to mass destroy them?\" He asked. They began to talk about it and Marcus looked around the room spotting somethings.

Marcus looked at them. \"Why not burn them?\" he asked. \"We got stuff here if it\'s still any good to set them a blaze.\" he said. \"Just need to work out a flame thrower type thing.\" he said. He would leave that part to the older men who smiled and began to make plan\'s to make it.
