(6) Long thoughts

Michael laughs and leans down and traces the edge of Nick’s ear with his tongue.

“You’ll have to work harder to get that information.”

Michael kisses down his neck, over the spot where he had marked him. The dark purple and black mark disappears when Michael touches it with his lips. The mark isn’t for human’s to see. Michael hadn’t marked Norris or Jason, they are destined for something else.

Michael moves lower, to his chest, but before he can go very far Nick places a hand on his chest, pausing him.

“Please, let me rest a little longer.”

“I can make it where it’s not necessary.”

Nick shakes his head, “Please?”

“I thought you weren’t going to beg, meili?

“I’m not, I’m asking you to let me rest. I’m still trying to adjust to all this and if you don’t give me some more time to rest I’m going to lose my mind.”

“Very well, then. I’ll give you a few more minutes to rest.”

Michael lays down and pulls Nick close. Nick had wanted more time to rest but he hadn’t said anything about space. Nick sighs and lets Michael pull him close. This whole thing had been almost too much for him, he hasn’t had a chance to think about it. He still isn’t certain if Michael will give him enough time to think about it now, but at least he will have a little time.

Michael isn’t as cruel as Nick had originally though, he is allowing him some time. And he had made it so that Nick would enjoy it, even though he didn’t have a choice on not having sex with Michael.

Nick had never liked guys, he has had a crush on a girl at school for years. But as he lays there with Michael at his bad he feels oddly aroused. What is wrong with him? His grandparents would kill him if they knew what he is doing now. That’s just it, though, he hates his grandparents and could care less what they think. So this is all up to Nick.

Michael, unable to give Nick any more time, kisses the back of his neck, his hands slowly moving down Nick’s chest. Nick leans back, giving into Michael. For tonight he would go with the flow of things. But when he gets home, and during his free time, he plans on going over everything with a fine toothed comb.

**************

Michael had kept Nick in his room until nearly five in the morning until he finally allowed him to go back. Nick was observant as Michael slipped through the shadows, the world within the shadows was amazing. It was cool, but the colors that the darkness showed. By the time Nick was back in his own room, Michael gone, and warming back up from the trip he is certain that even the darkest shadow has a heart.

Nick lays down in his bed to sleep, Michael hadn’t allowed him much resting time, and finds that he can’t sleep. His mind goes over the whole incident, from the moment he turned around and saw them in the shower, to just now. Michael had been gentle with him all night, so unlike in the shower. Even now, thinking about it, Nick felt desire course through him.

His grandmother comes in to wake him up at seven. They had church to attend at nine and so he dragged himself out of bed and dressed. It felt odd for him, after what had happened, to go to church. He felt as if he should be struck by a bolt of lightening. By something. But nothing happened.

At the end of the service he follows his grandparents down the isle, even shaking hands with the pastor as they walked out of the church.

“Hey, Nick, how are you doing?”

Nick turns and sees Heather, a girl he’s known for a long time, a close friend, and the girl he’s had a crush on for years. Usually he feels woozy to his stomach when he’s around her, even a little light headed. Today nothing happens when he sees her, and he’s paying attention.

“I’m great. How about you?”

She smiles and punches his arm, though she’s small enough that it doesn’t bother him. She’s only five foot three inches, her strawberry blond hair sets in waves on her shoulder and her green eyes sparkle. Heather has always seen Nick as a sort of older brother. She has an older sister and a younger sister, no brothers.

“Wonderful! I’m going to go to a mission camp this summer. It’s going to be so cool!”

And maybe that’s why he’s never tried to be anything more than a friend to her. She’s as dedicated as his grandparents are and he can’t stand that. Heather continues to talk and his mind wanders. He finds himself thinking about Michael again and the night they’d spent together.

Michael had told him he would come for him again tonight. Nick hadn’t really thought about it before but the thought of seeing Michael again excited him, in more ways than one.

“Nikolas, it’s time to go.”

His grandfather calls from the car, his face not looking pleased.

“Sorry, I’ve got to go now. I’ll catch you at school tomorrow.”

“All right. Bye!”

“Bye!”

Nick quickly walks to the car and climbs in, not wanting to irritate his grandfather too much. It’s not so much what he does but the looks and the speech that follow any bad behavior. He can’t understand how his mother had survived growing up with them.

** I\'m sorry, I like to be a little cruel on some things. I\'m not going to say what Michael is for a few more chapters. And as for his language, I haven\'t really given it a name. I am going to go through this week and actually write it down, the alphabet, the sounds, etc. I shouldn\'t be too difficult to create my own language, I\'ve learned enough different ones to help.
I decided on a slight compromise for the new title. Everyone had such good names and thank you *so* much for your suggestions. *gives everyone a free T-shirt with Michael and Nick on the front*
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this chapter.
