\"Kira...\"
\"Kira!\"
Jumping at the sharp exclamation of his name, Kira\'s elbow slipped off the end of his desk, causing him to fall forward and hit his chin hard on the thick Math book resting on his desk. Predictably, a few laughs were quick to follow, which he ignored as he rubbed his stinging chin and returned the glare being shot at him by the teacher. /Maybe if you weren\'t so damn boring, I wouldn\'t sink into a stupor every class.../
A few moments later the lunch bell rang, and the redhead thankfully grabbed his books and hightailed it out of there. He hadn\'t been fortunate enough to run into Toya yet that day, and though he hoped that he would be sitting with him and his friends again that day, he didn\'t want to make assumptions.
After picking up his lunch, he glanced over the cafeteria, looking for a familiar glint of blue. He spotted Toya a moment later, standing in front of a table where Bakari, Hijiri, and Kuchi were sitting, surrounded by people that Kyra didn\'t recognize. Toya had a confused look on his face as well.
Making his way over to the table, he stood there for a moment, noting Bakari\'s glare at a blonde seated next to her. Hijiri and Kuchi were oblivious as usual, munching on their lunch and playing chess.
He stood there for another short while before Toya turned his head slightly and noticed him.
\"Oh, Kira...\" He said, looking surprised but happy to see him. \"Our table seems to have been invaded...\" He winced a bit, looking around the room. \"And there doesn\'t seem to be anywhere else to sit.\"
\"Come and sit outside with me,\" Kira offered. \"That is, if you want to...\"
The other boy smiled and nodded. \"Lead the way.\"

Ten minutes later the two boys were settled comfortably in the large garden surrounding the school, their backs against a large maple tree.
Kira leaned back, surveying the landscape with deep green eyes. \"I love fall...\" He said, taking in the deep reds and bright golds of the leaves. \"Everything is so bright and colorful and crisp feeling. It\'s just the right temperature too, not too hot and not too cold.\" He looked over at Toya, laughing sheepishly. \"I\'m sorry, I\'m rambling.\"
\"I don\'t mind,\" Toya replied with a smile. \"Fall is nice, but I prefer spring... All of the flowers and such... And my birthday is in the spring. May 7th.\"
/I\'ll have to remember that one.../ \"Spring is ok. Too soggy for my liking. My birthday is in the summer. July 31st.\"
Toya nodded, taking a bite of his lettuce, cheese, and mayonnaise sandwich, while Kira practically inhaled at the fries he\'d bought at the cafeteria. The boys sat in silence for a moment, until the redhead glanced over to see a large red leaf that had fluttered down from above to land unnoticed in his friend\'s blue-ish hair. Laughing softly, he brushed it off. Toya looked slightly embarrassed at not even having noticed that there was a leaf on his head.
As if to make up for his lack of observance, he tilted his head and regarded the bruise Kira had received in Math class. \"How did you get this?\" He asked, gently tilting Kira\'s head up so he could better see the mark.
\"Oh, um... Had a run-in with a Math book...\" He replied, his mind not quite focusing right as gentle fingers explored the underside of his jaw. A blush quickly crept across his cheeks at the soft caresses.
Toya nodded slowly and finally pulled his hand back in what seemed like an almost reluctant way.
\"Oh, Kira... I meant to ask, would you like to... Sleep over at my house this weekend?\" Toya asked, lowering those expressive blue eyes of his that captivated the other so, toying with the hem of his sleeve as if he were nervous to hear the answer.
Kira blinked. Sleep with Toya? /Not with him, just at his house,/ he quickly corrected himself. Still, though... The implications were more than a little interesting. He opened his mouth to answer when the bell rang, cutting him off and causing both boys to jump up.
\"Crap! I have Biology next. If I\'m late the teacher\'s going to kill me!\" Were the words that left his mouth, rather than the answer he had meant to supply.
Toya was equally panicked, as the teacher he had next class was not exactly lenient either.
Grabbing what remained of their lunches, they ran off in opposite directions.
Before they got out of earshot, Kira suddenly remembered what he had been asked and stopped, turning and calling out the blue-haired boy\'s name. \"Toya!\" When the one he had called to turned, he continued, \"sure I\'ll sleep over this weekend!\"
Toya smiled and nodded, then raced off in the direction of the school entrance that was closest to his next class, Kira doing the same.

That afternoon it rained again, and Kira, having taken a different, more scenic route home, didn\'t run into Toya and his limo this time. He didn\'t mind though. The rain wasn\'t too cold, and he loved to walk in the rain. There was something intoxicating about wandering through the cold falling water, droplets running down your face and drenching your clothes, the pounding tempo of drops hitting the ground all around you, the smell clogging your nostrils, clean and heavy and overpowering all at once. There was something sensual about the rain... Truth be told, heavy rainstorms tended to make him kind of horny.
Arriving home in what seemed like much less time than it actually had been, he slipped in through the doorway, shaking his reddish-orange hair like a dog and splattering the walls with rain, shrugging as if to say \"eh, no one will notice\". He slipped off his coat and sneakers and headed upstairs to change into something dry.
Once clothed in a comfortable pair of pajama pants and a t-shirt, his usual after school attire, the redhead collapsed on his bed, not wanting to face the homework he had for that night. /Oh well... At least I\'ve got the weekend to look forward to./ Sighing softly, he headed downstairs to retrieve his books.

Later that night, Kira was startled out of a complicated algebra equation by heavy rapping on the door. Not wanting his parents, who had wandered home around 11:00 and gone straight to bed, to be awakened, he rushed downstairs and threw open the door. His face went slightly paler when his dark green gaze rested upon the overly muscled 17-year-old standing in his doorway wearing an intent look and an outfit typical of someone who drove a motorcycle. His black hair hung slightly past his shoulders, and his almost equally black eyes glared out from below large, bushy eyebrows. In short, not exactly Kira\'s idea of attractive.
\"Long time, no see, my sexy one,\" the older boy said with a leer.
\"Go fuck yourself, Kaden,\" Kira replied coldly. \"It hasn\'t been nearly long enough for me.\" He attempted to close the door, but Kaden took a step forward at the same time, grabbing Kira\'s wrist with thick fingers and trying to pull him outside.
\"Oh, but I\'d much rather fuck you.\"
Without thinking, Kira leaned down and bit his hand hard, causing him to curse loudly and pull his hand away, allowing Kira a second\'s reprieve and enough space to slam shut and lock the door.
He leaned back against the door, panting slightly and rubbing his wrist, the rest of the color having long since drained from his face. /I can\'t believe he came back... The fucking nerve of that guy... I\'m not taking it from him this time. I can\'t.../
