Chapter 6
“I want to tell her,” Jacob says, Sandra sneaks up to the door, and peeks through the open crack, she sees Jacob standing in front of Karen his arms across his chest,
“Are you insane or stupid?” Karen replies, crossing her own arms.
“I\'m sick of lying to her,” he looks to the floor.
“Trust me; she’s better off not knowing you should have just stayed away from her like I told you to.”
“Put yourself in my position for one fucking second,” Sandra knew he was really pissed he rarely ever swore.
“I have, many times over, I told you to just stick to our kind, leave the humans out of your personal life.” Karen says putting her hand on her brow as if she were frustrated. Sandra is confused now and what did she mean by ‘our kind’?
“I did when I met her it just clicked, I\'ve never felt this way about anyone, ever,”
“Then just leave her, it will hurt but trust me it would be better than the alternative,” Karen rubs her arms,
“And that being?” Jacob says barely having moved since Sandra started watching, Karen looks hurt,
“You know damn well what that is,” Karen has tears in her eyes,
“I want you to tell me,” Jacob drops his arms at his side, tears roll down Karen’s cheeks leaving long black mascara trails,
“It’s what I did to you,” she covers her eyes with her hands and sobs, he instantly wraps his arms around her pulling her close her hands still over her eyes loud sobs come from her. “I\'m sorry, I\'m so sorry,” she says between sobs, he rubs her back,
“Its all right, I\'ve forgiven you long ago, it wasn\'t your fault you didn’t know any better,” he kisses the top of her head.
“I nearly killed you then, how can it be all right?” she sobs even louder and wraps her arms around his waist crying into his chest.
“I didn’t die so there\'s nothing for me to be especially angry at,” she tries to push away from him but he is holding her too tight, he lets one arm go and uses it to turn her face up to his, he kisses her lightly on the lips, just a quick peck,
“Bastard,” Karen pushes him away he stumbles back, “You know I still love you, how dare you use that against me,” she runs to her room and slams the door behind her. Jacob takes a step toward her room and turns back to his room, Sandra quickly and quietly slips back into bed, the door slowly opens,
As he walks back in he says, “Sandra you wake?” she rolls over to face him,
“Yeah what’s going on?” she pretends to rub the sleep from her eyes,
“Nothing really just me and Karen had a fight, now try to go back to sleep,”
Sandra has a hard time trying to sleep now with all that has happened tonight her mind is swarmed with too many thoughts mostly if he is going to break up with her like Karen told him to, after an hour and a half she manages to go back to sleep,
