Brother mine
Chapter 6 – Brother mine
Tristan looked at Harm and frowned. ”Indeed, and I had intended to keep it that way, so answer me; what are you doing here,” he hissed.
Harm laughed and padded Tristan on the shoulder “I am helping my boss, don’t worry I am not here for you”
“Your boss,” Tristan asked and crossed his arms over his chest, “I was not aware you were able to keep a job at all”
“Always the little brat, weren’t you,” Harm said and rolled his eyes. “But if you really know – today I am DEATH,” he roared
Tristan shook his head, “And you were always a poor actor.”
Harm snorted offended and looked at Ol and George, “Pretty harem you managed to keep yourself these days.” He stepped closer to Ol and looked at him so that the elf felt himself tremble under the divine gaze, “This creature will never be a forewarning of good times in your life Tris, you know that.”
Tristan pulled Harm\'s arm and turned him to look at him. “Leave him alone, Harm,” he hissed
“If you wish,” Harm said and smiled. “Is he even aware of what you did for him,” the angel of death’s voice dropped to a dramatic whisper.
“Shut the fuck up Harm,” Tristan exclaimed.
Harm smiled slyly and nodded at his angry brother, “Then I will just pick up that little man next door and be on my way.”
“Oh no you wont,” Tristan said and pulled Harm next door to George\'s office and slammed the door
“Tristan, what is this about,” Harm asked and looked confused.
Tristan sighed. “You can’t take Ruben,” he stated.
“I have to Tris, it\'s my job and his turn to go,” Harm said and sat down on George\'s desk.
“Well, tell your boss that Ruben\'s mine, you cannot take him Harm – please,” Tristan said getting a desperate tone to his voice. Tristan suddenly got a devious look on his face, and when he opened his mouth once more he had switched to old latin. “We could make a deal,” he said
“A deal huh, and why do you speak this old language, its not even used amongst angels anymore,” Harm said in the same dialect.
“Because this is of no concern of others that might listen,” Tristan said and stepped closer to his brother. “So would you want to make a deal,” he smirked.
Harm smiled and wrapped a arm around Tristan’s waist, “Let me hear you plan then.”
Tristan smiled and leaned in to whisper Harm in his delicate pointed ear, “I will personally get some other soul for you.”
The black wings trembled ever so slightly, and he wrapped one around Tristan to hide his brother completely. “What soul might that be,” he whispered and ran his finger over Tristan’s cheek.
“Amdir,” Tristan whispered and in return wrapped his arms around Harm.
“The darkelf... what if I don’t want him,” Harm said and smiled mischievously.
“Please Harm,” Tristan smirked, “You would get yourself a soul, and I would get rid of my nemesis”
“Then there would be waiting involved, and I would have to explain to death,” Harm sighed but smiled. “You know how she gets when she has to wait,” the dark angel leaned down and ghosted his lips over Tristan’s. “What will be in it for me?”
Tristan closed his eyes, he remembered the times before Ol had entered his life, he had shared this with his older brother, but his love for the elf had changed that. This embrace felt odd but yet safe. “What do you want,” he whispered breathless.
“You,” Harm whispered back and rested his head against Tristan\'s.
Tristan took a deep breath and smiled. “Deal,” he whispered, “When you I have the soul for you we shall see each other once more, and then I will travel with you where you should want.”
“How long will you stay,” Harm breathed and kissed Tristan’s brow gently.
“For some time, harm – for some time,” he said secretly, “now please revive Ruben.”
“Consider it done little brother,” Harm said and smiled widely. “Now take care, till we meet once more.”
“I will, and Harm,” Tristan said and pulled from his brother, “Thank you.”
“Farewell Thanatairan,” Harm said as he started to fade.
“Farewell Horathio,” Tristan said softly and smiled when his brother was completely gone, and he was left alone in the office.

Days have passed and Ruben seemed to miraculously have been cured of his heart disease, Tristan sat in his office and stared at his phone, should he call? He had promised Harm, why had he promised Harm?
“You big soft idiot,” he chided himself as he picked up the phone and called Ol.
When he heard the phone picked up he sighed, “I will do it, I will help you save Amdir.”
Ol was silent and suddenly said; “We’re coming to your office now.”
“We,” Tristan said, but Ol had hung up already. We? Who were we? He decided to have himself some coffee, and he walked into George’s office, where he to his surprise found George crying.
“George, what’s wrong,” he said and squatted down next to Georges chair.
The heartbroken elf looked at Tristan. “I cannot see you anymore,” he blurted out.
“What,” Tristan gasped.
“It\'s all just somewhat complicated right now,” George sniffed, “Will I loose my job?”
Tristan resisted the urge to laugh. “No little one, you will not,” he said in a comforting tone, “Do you want the day off Georgie?”
George nodded and smiled. “For what its worth I am sorry,” he said and wiped off a fresh tear.
“Now run off,” Tristan said and tenderly caressed George’s cheek before he stood up and walked into his own office once more. Had the world gone mad today? He decided to go and fetch his coffee himself.

Later that afternoon he was looking over some old tomes gazing up to the drawing on his wall with the gargoyle. “If you could talk I’m sure you could explain this to me,” he said and sighed, “If only you could stay put for more than 5 minutes.” He shook his head and kept reading, until a slight knock was to his door.
He did not even have a chance to answer before it opened and Ol entered. “Look whom I met in a bar,” he beamed and gestured towards the being in the door. It was a boy, his short silver hair was hidden under a cloth, but his pointy ears and his whiskers was a dead give away.
“Godiva,” Tristan gasped – this most certainly was the strangest day he had had for a long, long time, “I didn’t know you were in town.”
“Hey dad,” Godiva said rather timidly and walked into the room.
Tristan looked suspicious, “Does Peaches know you are here?”
“No, mum don’t know where I am,” Godiva said and sighed, “And please don’t call her.”
Tristan frowned and looked at Ol.
“No, no I didn’t,” Ol said quickly and waved his hands in front of him.
“Alright, as I said I will help you Ol. I will try and save Amdir for you, and in the meantime, you will stay here and babysit – him,” Tristan pointed at Godiva.
“Daaaaaaad,” Godiva said in a annoyed tone, \"I don’t need a baysitter besides, I know where that darkelf is, you need me.”
“What? – Why would you know that,” Tristan said and raised a brow.
“I just do,” Godiva said and smiled mischievously.
“Ok, sit down Ol, and we will have to find a way to do this,” Tristan sighed, this was absolutely not as he had imagined, far from it actually.
