yesterday
was so long
ago
my soul
was corrupt
my heart crushed
by hate
but then I
dreamed
of you
and it was alright
so right
by dawn
a new soul
was born
from pain
salvation was gained
I dreamed
of you
your eyes
so bright
your lips
so warm like
a soft, kind
candlelight
tho separated
by miles
and miles
and passing years
and names
taken away
on the wind
and that
grave
dug deep beneath
cool shade trees
but now all
is set right
my course
corrected
I dreamed of
you
last night
it was so right
and at the end
of the day
perhaps we'll find
a truth
that life
is only a long dream
that leaves
at each
new dawn
with the coming
of the light
bright
like your eyes
and warm
like the kisses
we shared last night
there among
the fields
and flowers
with no thoughts
of tomorrow
or yesterday's
sorrows
