Chapter Four: The Captain Returns
--
An excruciating week at Pig’s Thigh Inn had nearly passed. As she continued fixing meals suited for Kings, Edie continuously did best to ignore Lavan and his prying interest in her. He had had an occasional few times where he had caught her alone, and during these few times, he repeatedly apologized for his behavior when they had first met. But she only ignored him, causing him disappointment. She knew he had not meant what he did. At least, she hoped he had not. She just prayed he’d understand that this was how she was, and that he may make the situation worse.
To make matters worse, the entire inn’s staff knew of Lavan and his sudden interest in Edie. Edie was embarrassed by their prying stares whenever she passed them. Perhaps they were jealous? No -- though whores, they loved their job. Perhaps they were only jealous of Edie’s food? It seemed nowadays that more men entered the inn for the food rather than for the sex. Some came for both.
Tonisha, on the other hand, found this situation hilarious. She had no doubt in her mind that Lavan would strive to do anything and everything for Edie, and she was certain that his three fellow hunters were just as thrilled, prepared to tease the man for gaining a mighty large crush on the lovely cook.
The one person out of all, however, seeming to be on Edie’s side was Amana. She and Edie had become close, over the past few days. Never in all her life had Amana claimed any person as a friend. She had Tonisha, but the woman was more of a mother at heart. Edie was only seven years older than Amana, and the closest person Amana had to share secrets with. Edie made Amana feel special and worthy. If not for Edie, Amana would had been nothing more but a table cleaner her whole life. Now, she could use a knife, stir soups, and bake rolls over a fire. And it was all thanks to Edie.
It was late afternoon. Amana was busying putting orders on a tray. She had lost sight of Edie some minutes ago. She grew worried, knowing Edie was probably hiding from Lavan again. The man would not leave her be.
Amana faced another cook. “Have you seen Miss Edie?”
The cook shrugged as she went back to cutting up doughy balls with a sharp knife. Frowning, Amana went to serve some of the folks upstairs. She’d search for Edie, afterwards. Amana had a pretty good idea where the sad cook was hiding.
Upstairs, Amana moved over to a table of three. She set down their full bowls of soup, and bowed, telling them she hoped they enjoyed. They thanked her as she rushed back into the staff quarters. Setting the tray on a counter, Amana headed towards the bedrooms. She walked up to Edie’s and gave a soft knock. A faint voice told her it was open. Smiling, Amana peeked in.
“Miss Edie?” she said with concern. “Can I come in?”
Edie was sitting on her bed. She looked up at Amana and smiled. “Of course, Amana. Come on in.”
Amana closed the door behind her and joined Edie on the bed. Edie respected the girl. She reminded Edie a bit of herself at that age -- before the nightmare that had happened to her. Amana was shy, quiet -- but if she wanted, she could be quite talkative.
“Is it getting crowded up there?” Edie asked.
Shaking her head, Amana said, “No. I was just wondering where you were, and -- Miss Edie, what’s wrong?”
Frowning, Edie turned her head away. She remained quiet, not wanting to answer Amana’s concerning question. This made Amana feel sad. She scooted a bit closer to Edie and hugged her like a sister. “Is it Lavan? Is that jerk still bothering you?”
Languished, Edie hugged Amana in return. “Amana, do not worry about me. Okay?”
“I can’t help it,” said Amana. She looked up at Edie, flushing. “You’re my friend.”
Edie stared down at Amana with understanding. “I am glad we met.”
“Me too,” Amana whispered.
Standing to her feet, Edie pulled Amana up with her. “We should get back to the kitchen. Come on.”
“Okay.”
--
Tonisha sat in the quietness of her room. She had a small desk piled with papers. A feather with ink sat on the left side. There was a candle used for waxing and closing letters. She had her own stamp, even, with an image of a pig in a wig. It indicated her inn, and she was ecstatic by how it had turned out. Opposite of her sat Lavan on a small stool. He tapped his left foot against the soft floor as he sat waiting for a response. He had just asked Tonisha for work. The news had not shocked Tonisha. Not in the least. Nonetheless, she knew he was only aiming at this to get within feet of Edie, and with how the circumstances seemed, Tonisha was unsure if he deserved work.
Placing her arms on the smooth oak desk, she sighed lowly as she gazed at him through her thick eyelashes. That day, she wore a pine green dress, but the lacy, flowery design on hers and Leigh’s sexy dresses never changed. Nothing changed besides the colors.
“So let me get this straight,” she began. “You are stooping down a level in order to work for me?”
“I wouldn’t really say I’m stooping,” said Lavan. “I merely want to try something new.”
“Lavan,” Tonisha sighed, shaking her head. “We both know why you’re here.”
Shrugging his shoulders, Lavan grinned. “And why not?”
“She is not interested in you,” Tonisha answered. She peered down at her desk. “She’s a mystery, even to me. She’s closest with Amana, and even Amana knows little about her. That girl -- will not given in to you so easily, Lavan.”
Leaning forward, Lavan stared Tonisha straight in the eye. He showed seriousness as his facial expression became stern. “I don’t care. Edie is special. She’s -- different, and even if it takes me --” he paused. Did he really care for her in such a way that he’d live out his life in order to learn more about her?
Tonisha remained still, feeling for Lavan. She pushed back and put some papers together, synching them and placing them to the right. This motion made her desk a bit cleaner. “Your companions have been hunting still?”
“Yes,” Lavan said. “Since we’ve been here, they were only able to hunt a single fox. At this rate, our village will suffer this winter, and we can’t allow that to happen. They’ve agreed that we can stay here a bit longer, but we don’t have much coins. I am begging you to allow me to work in order to keep the two rooms upstairs. Also, while I’m helping out around here, perhaps I could convince Edie to -- talk with me some.”
A defeated chuckle escaped Tonisha. She shook her head as she smiled up at Lavan, can’t helping but admiring his dedication towards Edie. He was full of spirit. And he was so handsome. It’s a shame he had no interest in her, instead.
“Very well,” she finally said. “I’ll hire you -- but only until you and your -- buddies leave. And I don’t think it’d do you any good working in the kitchen alongside Edie.”
“Oh, come on,” Lavan said as he raised his hands jokingly. “Why not? I rather not be a whore…”
“No?” Tonisha asked. She gave a short grin as Lavan shook his head rigorously. “I think you’d do fine at being -- a table clearer? And perhaps a bucket cleaner? Broom sweeper?”
“Fine, fine,” said Lavan with a wave of his hand. No matter. As long as he was able to be near Edie, he’d clean anything for free. Even the toilets.
Standing, he gave Tonisha a bow. “Thank you, Tonisha.”
“You just make sure you do your job,” Tonisha said. “If anyone found out you and your buddies are now staying for free, the man in charge of this town would have my head.”
Thinking this to be a joke, Lavan laughed. “I won’t let you down. I promise.”
“You better not.”
Moving out from behind her desk, Tonisha forced Lavan to follow her. She took him into the kitchen. Edie was currently cutting up a large piece of beef. Lavan smiled at her, but his feet gave way to Tonisha’s massive arm. The woman had muscle, though this didn’t show.
“Here,” she said as she placed a broom in his hand.
Edie slowly turned her head, watching as Lavan was handed the broom. She tilted her head in disconcertion, not liking what she saw.
“Sweep up down here, and then go upstairs,” Tonisha ordered. She gave Edie a guilty smile before exiting the kitchen.
Lavan did as told. He began sweeping, catching quick glimpses of Edie’s unhappy face. She had turned her back on him as she continued with the beef. Ignoring the other cooks, Lavan swept his way over to Edie, being sneaky as a snake.
“Guess what?” he asked as he whispered in her ear. “I am working here now.”
Setting down her knife, Edie quickly faced Lavan. He saw that she was trying hard not to cry. She looked as if she was about to scream her head off, but instead, she turned and went to wash her hands.
Continuing to sweep, Lavan followed after her. He acted like a pest, but if it caught her attention, he’d be pleased. He loved listening to her voice, knowing he could listen to it all day.
As she patted her hands in the lukewarm water, she watched as Lavan began sweeping around the bowl. She tried ignoring him best she could. She removed her hands from the water and wiped them on the rag, telling herself that Lavan was only trying to make her talk, whether she spoke calmly or shouted her lips off. Instead, she headed out of the kitchen, needing air.
Lavan only followed.
“Wait,” he said as he held the broom. He stepped up behind her. “Edie…”
Edie turned. She was crying, not being able to control it any longer. “What do you want from me!” she yelled. She crossed her arms, hugging herself as she tried hard not to lose control of her body. “Why do you keep -- stalking me and -- why won’t you just leave me alone?”
For once since his arrival at the Pig’s Thigh Inn, Lavan felt awful. Those tears were real, and he had caused them -- just like that first night. “Edie, I’m sorry. I just --” he sighed. “I’m not sure why I’m so attached to you.”
“Attached?” Edie asked. She took a step back.
“Please don’t run away,” Lavan said. He tightened his grip on the broom, keeping his distance. He did not want her to flee him again -- it hurt too much. “I want nothing more but to know you, Edie.”
“B -- but why?”
“I’m not sure,” Lavan said. He was honest with her, showing the sincerity in his eyes. He blinked twice, wanting her to see that he was not going to harm her. “There’s something about you that draws me to you, Edie.”
“Well, stop it,” she told him, which only made him laugh. “What’s so funny?”
“I’m sorry,” he chuckled. “You’re just -- adorable.”
This made Edie blush. Adorable? Her? Feeling small, she took another step back, trying to ignore strong waves of emotions building up inside her. Lavan had been at the inn for an entire week now, and he was still weird as ever. And he still scared Edie. Well, at least she assumed she was feeling scared. Every time she saw him, he made her quiver -- it was intense, and different from when she had looked into the eyes of -- of the man from her past.
Shaking her head, Edie wiped at her tears. She turned to her side, looking away from Lavan. “Why are you telling me this?”
“Because --” he whispered as he daringly stepped closer. “I -- well, I think you’re special.”
Her emotions rocketing, Edie cranked her head up, giving Lavan a bewildered face. “W -- what?”
“You’re special,” he repeated. He stepped closer. “I can feel that you are. Well, you’re probably thinking I’m a psycho now.”
Edie had before, but she kept this to herself. She wiped at her nose using the back of her hand. “Special?”
Chuckling, Lavan nodded at her. “Very.”
He walked up to her. He reached a hand out, ready to touch -- but just as he did, he saw her panicking. She backed up, and pushed at his chest.
“No!” she shouted. “Stop coming -- near me!”
“Edie, please,” Lavan said, begging her to stop this nonsense. “Why can’t you trust me?”
Trust? Trust! How could she trust him? He was a man! “I -- I can’t!” Turning, Edie bawled as she raced for her bedroom.
Putting his hand out, Lavan readied to chase after her, but he felt like he had failed. There was no getting through to her.
What could he do?
--
“Excuse me! Sorry -- I’m sorry, please move!”
Pushing through the crowded streets of Forter, Leigh ran with a gleeful smile. She hid her usual sensual appearance beneath a long brown robe as she hurried back to the Pig’s Thigh Inn with what she believed to be exceptional news.
Rounding the corner, she rushed over to the inn, and made her way inside after wiping her shoes on the rug now resting outside.
Closing the door, she turned and looked around the room. “He’s coming!”
Everyone lifted their heads. Lavan had been sweeping around some empty tables, and Tonisha looked up from behind the counter.
“Leigh?” she asked.
“He’s returned,” Leigh said sensually, breathing in and out. This man she spoke of -- she had longed to get into his pants, though he never seemed interested in her. “Captain Cain --”
At the very mention of such a name, the entire inn blustered to life as the chatty guests and staff became increasingly excited.
“Leigh, you are certain?” Tonisha asked.
The blond nodded her head, showing a wide grin as she removed her robe. She began pampering at her pink dress as she walked over to Tonisha with a skipping motion. “He’s coming this way -- he and his men are hungry…” she giggled. “They’re finally back.”
“Clear a table -- the largest,” Tonisha ordered. People began scattering. Some even left, not wanting to attempt angering the man nearing Pig’s Thigh Inn.
As Lavan set down the broom to help move tables, he began pondering this man’s name. What man was powerful enough to gain this much attention? It made Lavan quite interested.
“Hurry,” said Tonisha. “That’s good -- that’s good!”
The staff dropped the tables, and fixed them up. Amana wiped them clean before standing back, ready to take orders just as the door opened.
All eyes turned. Tonisha took a deep breath and stood with folded hands. Leigh fanned herself, trying hard not to orgasm. Lavan peeked around a group of heavy men, staring as many uniformed men in green entered the inn. Behind them followed a man in blue.
Cain.
“He’s returned,” Leigh breathed out. “Ooh…”
Tonisha stepped forward. She smiled, recognizing that handsome face. “Hello Cain.”
Cain stepped forward. “Tonisha… We’d like a table.”
“Of course,” she said, eying the men with luscious thoughts. “Please accept the very best here in the corner, just the way you like it.”
“We accept,” Cain said. He nodded at his men as they went to sit, ready to have some fun. “Provided you bring on the entertainment for my men…”
“Oh Cain,” Tonisha teased as she walked up to him. “You know the fun only begins at night.”
Grinning down at her, Cain opened a satchel tied to his waist. He pulled out his palm now filled with golden coins. “We’ve traveled a long way, Tonisha. We’re tired -- and we’d like our fun to start now. I‘ll be leaving later this evening, of course. I must return home. But do this favor for my men? Hmm?”
With a sly smile, Tonisha accepted the coins. “For you, Cain, anything…”
“Yes,” grinned Hyatt, him sitting next to a stunned Mark. “Bring on the tits.”
Giving a single nod by their manager, the ladies knew exactly what to do. As one rushed to close the restaurant for the night, indicating the place closed for special reasons, the other women began surrounding the men as they stripped off the top of their dresses, allowing breasts of every size imaginable to appear for the men’s pleasure.
Lavan’s eyes widened, watching as the women started dancing around the men. Some went right ahead and sat on their laps, allowing their breasts to be squeezed, licked, and suckled. Amana began taking orders, knowing they’d be hungry. The entire scene made Lavan nervous. He stood back, trying to get a good glimpse of the men… Where had he seen those clothes before? The uniform they wore seemed so similar…
It was then that he knew --
Cretchens!
He stepped forward, but soon found a hand on his arm. He turned, seeing Tonisha was the one that had grabbed him. “You need to go downstairs.. Now!”
“Those men,” Lavan argued as he was pulled from the main area of the inn. “They’re --”
“Hush!” Tonisha ordered, just about throwing him down the stairs. He stumbled as he jumped the last stair. He turned to glare at Tonisha.
“What are you doing?” he asked. “Those men are -- are Cre…!”
“I know what they are, and the things they do,” Tonisha said, interrupting him. She put her hands up, defending the men.
Lavan shook his head at her. “I don’t understand. Why are they…? I mean -- who was that man?”
“He’s their leader,” Tonisha said. “He is Captain Cain. He’s also the leader of this entire town. He owns Forter.”
“Owns?” Lavan asked, gaping.
“Yes,” Tonisha said. “And I suggest you stay out of his way. The man’s dangerous. More so than a pack of wolves. Stay out of his way, Lavan.”
Anger boiled inside Lavan, but he didn’t want to cause any trouble for Tonisha. He was amazed that the very kind of man that had caused his village harm owned this town. Without saying a word, Lavan turned and went to wait his anger out in Tonisha’s office.
Sighing, Tonisha rejoined the men upstairs, firstly taking a peek in the kitchen to see Edie hard at work. She smiled as she entered the main room and made her way up to Cain. He sat beside Mark, and Mark was not looking too interested in the topless prostitutes dancing around him. This made Tonisha smirk. She had a sudden interest in Mark.
“You two enjoying yourselves?” she asked.
Cain chuckled light-heartedly -- well, for him. “Tonisha, I am here on different business. I’ve heard you’ve gotten yourself a remarkable new chef while I’ve been away. Business has been good, I take it?”
“Extremely,” Tonisha said as she sat down.
At that moment, Amana arrived with food for the men. She carefully set down Cain’s order first. He stared down at the broth soup as his other men got their orders.
Hyatt shouted at Amana, “Hey girl, let me seem them tits.” He was obviously drunk, and Amana backed away.
“Settle down, Hyatt,” said Tonisha. “She’s one of my off limit ones.. Amana, you’re dismissed for the night. Go sleep.”
Nodding, Amana bowed and left.
“Too bad,” said Hyatt. “She’s cute.”
Rolling her eyes, Tonisha turned her attention on Cain. He had started sipping his meal. He nodded. “Not bad, Tonisha. My -- compliments to your chef. Actually -- I’d like to thank him, myself..”
“A woman, actually,” said Tonisha, gaining stares.
“You’ve hired a female cook?” Cain asked. “Now this I got to see. Go fetch her.”
Chuckling, Tonisha stood. “As you wish, Captain.”
As Tonisha stood, Leigh pulled Hyatt to his feet. She began to lead the large, ugly man upstairs as he touched at her jiggling breasts. She had lovely puffy nipples. Tonisha rolled her eyes again as she went to fetch the star cook for her inn.
--
Edie wiped her forehead. She was sweating from a long, hard day’s work, but it had been worth it when Amana told her a large order had come in from some very important men. She didn’t know who they were, but as long as she cooked and got paid, she didn’t care.
Turning, she watched Tonisha enter the kitchen. Tonisha was smiling. “Edie, you’re a master.”
Blushing, Edie shook her head. “It’s only a passion.”
“And you’re damn good at it,” Tonisha laughed. “Don’t deny it. Listen, a huge group of very important men just came in. They get an extra boost of service and -- a good time… Anyway, the leader of the group wants to personally thank the chef.”
Edie’s eyes widened. She looked down. “He does?”
“Yes,” Tonisha said, nodding. “Shall I tell him you’ll be up soon?”
“Of course,” Edie said excitedly. “Let me just finish cleaning up.”
“Sure thing. And to let you know, he’s the one wearing blue.”
“Blue,” nodded Edie. “Got it.”
She felt so excited and happy. A very important man was upstairs, and he wanted to thank her personally for her food? Smiling, Edie looked up at the ceiling and hopped up and down. This day was one of her best days yet.
--
After Tonisha told Cain that the cook would soon be up, she dragged Mark away from the crowd. Half the men had now gone upstairs with the ladies, ready to have the second fun of the night.
Tonisha turned to Mark, and she pouted up at him, frowning. “Not having a good time?”
Mark sighed. “I -- well, I’m not really into this --”
“Not into this?” she asked, giggling with a bit of flirt in her voice. “What’s that supposed to mean? Would you rather taste cock over pussy?”
“No!” Mark gaped.
“Then there shouldn’t be any problem,” Tonisha said. “I’ve had my eye on you since the moment you came through that door. I think you’re just being crabby, but I could change that.”
Gulping, Mark looked down at Tonisha’s large breasts, them anxious to be set free. Tonisha was the only woman in the room that wasn’t topless. “I --”
“Afraid to have a taste of my chocolate tits?” she asked, knowing sometimes men didn’t want her due to her foreign nature. Though she was lucky, for most men found her absolutely delicious.
“That’s not -- it,” Mark said, being truthful. “I’m -- just --”
Raising a brow, Tonisha finally figured it out. She gasped and put a hand over her mouth. “Oh God, are you -- a virgin?”
Mark quickly looked about. He covered her mouth, too. “Shush! Not so loud..”
“Oh God,” Tonisha repeated. She giggled again and took his hand. “Come with me…”
Hesitating, Mark slowly found his feet moving. For some reason, he was attracted to Tonisha -- he began following her up the stairs as Cain watched from his seat.
--
“This room,” Tonisha said as she opened the door. She gasped and took a step back when she realized it was occupied.
There was a gasping, naked Leigh. She laid flat on a stool with her legs on Hyatt’s fat shoulders. Her arms were beneath her, keeping her balanced on the stool as Hyatt pounded his large, thick penis in and out of her viciously as his hairy balls slapped against her skin… But she was enjoying it. Her smooth vagina, hairless and pink, was leaking juices with every possible thrust as her soft breasts jiggled back and forth.
Mark nearly fell over at the sight, impressed as he watched. Tonisha smiled at him.
“More,” Leigh panted, not noticing she had an audience. “More, Hyatt! Thrust your big, fat cock deep inside of me!”
As the two continued their fun, Tonisha slowly closed the door. She turned around, staring up at Mark as she cleared her throat. “Let’s try a different room, shall we?”
--
Edie patted her hands on her dress. She looked around, having everything cleaned up for the night. She was exhausted, but she had a person to impress. She still couldn’t believe that the man wanted to compliment her cooking! It was all so fantastical.
She headed upstairs. Opening the door, she stepped into the smoke-covered, ale-scented room. She noticed many naked women, but this was normal to her now.. She knew what this place was like at night. She lived downstairs, so it didn‘t bother her.
Using her eyes, she began scanning the room for a man in blue. As she soon met his eyes as his met hers, Edie froze over.
N -- no… It couldn’t be.
Not him.
She stood there, watching as he took her in. He remembered her. Slowly, he began standing, not taking his eyes off of her. And just as he took one step forward, making his way towards her, Edie panicked. No one noticed this, but she immediately began crying as she turned to race downstairs, desperate to escape him. She grabbed at the door and forced it open as the past caught up with her..
“No..” she cried as she stumbled down the stairs.
Cain had not believed his eyes, at first. But when he noticed exactly who the woman was, he could hardly believe it. He had started to rise, and he realized she remembered him.
Of course she did. He had ruined her those many years ago, and now that she was here, he wanted a word with her.. But he watched as she raced away. He determined if he should follow her or not, but deciding he’d give her time, he slowly lowered back into his seat.
He looked down at the broth. She had made this? Well, it would appear that she had taken well care of herself since he took away everything from her.
She was that strong?
Slowly, as he took another sip of his meal -- the final sip of the night, an eerie, unexpected grin graced his lips.
--
Edie ran for her room, wanting to find shelter. She wanted to get in her bed and hide. She was crying fountains from each eye as she rounded the corner, prepared to slide into her bedroom and stay there. But an unexpected warmth caused her to stop. Gasping, she stared up into Lavan’s worried eyes. She had bumped right into him.
“Edie?” he asked, seeing her crying and panting. She was shaking like a rag doll. “Edie, what’s wrong? Tell me…”
Unable to find words, Edie did the only thing she could think of. Without warning, she wrapped her arms around Lavan’s waist, hugging him close as she cried loudly. Lavan was too stunned for words, but he accepted the hug.
Gently, he wrapped his own arms around her, grateful that she didn’t pull away. He leaned back as the two slowly slid to the floor. He cradled her, and he started rocking her, not wanting to let go.
Lavan was now certain that he was even closer to learning the secrets about beautiful, fragile, gentle Edie.

Standing to her feet, Edie pulled Amana up with her. “We should get back to the kitchen. Come on.”
“Okay.”
