Chapter 5

So- who wants to hear about my car crash that totaled the car? Or my crappy breakup? Or how life hates me? Better question! Who wants a new chapter! That's what I thought!

Itrasheditgood: It really is a shame I have yet to finish typing up this story! But I'm glad you still have interest in reading it :)

Sabaku lotus: I'm sorry AFF is being evil. It did the same to me and I had to get mod help before I could sign back in.  After mating season is going to be a very interesting plot point that I have planned out. ;)

And I want to take a second to say... THANK YOU to both of you. Reviews mean so much to me and I've been getting less and less with each chapter. You two are the reason this new chapter is here ^.^

Who Doesn’t Love A Good Fairytale?

Ch.5: A hoof to the head

“I’m home!” Trapper said as he threw open the double doors and almost pissed himself as he laughed at the sight! Even Snowflake looked almost amused. Trapper’s mate was upside down, half under a table, with two of her brown fur covered legs in the air and looking rather dazed as she clutched a squirming child with both arms. Three more sets of young eyes looked around the corner of a makeshift couch at the insanity.

Trapper walked up when the squirming child, who looked to be about five, yelled, “Papa!” and started struggling even harder for freedom. He scooped the tanned little girl up in his arms. The doting dad pushed her black hair out of his daughters face before he turned to his mate and asked, “Would you like a hoof up, lovely?” The woman on the ground smiled sweetly at him and said, “I would love that very much.”

Without putting the child in his left arm down he pushed the table back a bit with his right, then offered the same hand to the amazon of a woman still on the ground. Once righted with all four feet beneath her, the hybrid stood at the same height as Trapper and appeared to have almost as many mussels. Though they were not as big. And her chest was completely flat. Not even nipples were present to disturb the smooth tanned skin. “You have something in your tail Tizzy.”

The tanned woman called Tizzy turned startled green eyes around for a moment then smiled brightly, only to have it drop a second later. Tizzy moved a hand up to run threw her brown hair in a bit of a stressed habit. But with how short her hair was in the back it lasted for only a second. “My dear Lady, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Saddle was a… a great boy. My little Tarver misses him deeply. We all do. It is a shame that one so dear was lost so young.” Snowflake looked over to see the mated pairs oldest child still peaking around the sofa with bloodshot eyes and a nose so red it almost looked bloody. The two boys had been close friends since they had learned what a friend was. The way they got on reminded the snowy mother of her friendship with Trapper in so many ways. The healer nodded and whispered, “Please, you know I’m not found of that title… And… I am sure little Tarver misses him dearly.”

When her sentence felt finished but still hung oddly in the air, the oldest child ran out on all four of his strong legs and threw himself against the healer with such force that it jolted Lady Snowflake’s sore ankle and almost took them both to the ground. But, as always, there was Trapper, with a solid arm around her shoulders, holding both her and his offspring up. Snowflake looked down and wrapped her arms around the child that clung to her as if he was hugging his lost friend one last time. And she in turn grasped him as if were her lost offspring whom she was cherishing, one last time.

An awkward clearing of a throat drew the rabbit to attention. “I was just working on gathering up the young ones to take them down to the river for a good washing. And as this lug is useless when wrangling them,” Tizzy jerked her thumb in Trappers direction and he made a disgruntled sound before she continued, “would you like to come along? Help keep these terrors in line?”

The rabbit’s nose gave a twitch and she ran a hand threw Tarver’s inky black mane, that matched his tail. The touch caused his ears to twitch forward and back. Snowflake finally found the ability to answer. “I think that’s a lovely idea. I needed to go down to the river anyway.”

Tizzy smiled and reared up on her back legs, almost knocking her head on the ceiling as her long bangs flipped around the sides of her face, and then roared out, “All right! All of you come here, we need to get this taken care of!” Before her front hooves touched back down the two free children scampered off. One on four legs and the last on just two. Tizzy’s face drooped in annoyance and she reached up to grab the two necklace’s that sat against her bare chest and grumbled, “Give me strength.”

Still slowly petting Tarver’s head, Snowflake spoke, “You now, I think Teacher was right.” Tizzy looked over to Trapper who was trying not to laugh as he cuddled the little one in his arms. Tizzy looked none to happy as she responded, “And how was Teacher right this time?” Snowflake looked down causing her bangs to cover her eyes when she answered, “You really did end up with a gaggle of young ones that are all just as stubborn as you were… and hate bathing just as much as you did. They may not ALL be thundering horses, but they are still just what Teacher said you would end up with in life. Karma for how much trouble you were growing up.”

Tizzy rolled her eyes even as she smiled, “Oh lord, even from beyond the grave he must say ‘I told you so’ hmm? And threw my friend no less. Will he never rest in peace?” Trapper looked ready to add his two cent, but let it drop as Tizzy stomped off after their missing offspring.

It was a full knock down drag out to get all four of the young ones to the river and scrubbed down. The father was of no use as he sat on the river bank laughing at the attempts of the two greatest woman he knew. Apparently they really were undefeatable, but that didn’t mean they wouldn’t come out with battle scars. Tizzy had already taken a hoof to the head. Twice. Though Trapper did have to take note that while his children were still struggling, they did not appear to be putting the full force into it when The Healer was the one who had a grasp of them. Was it for the loss they knew of? The injury they saw? Trapper really had no clue but he was thankful all the same. Even as he laughed at the THIRD hoof to nail his spunky mate.

Snowflake sat on a rock by the shore helping Tarver wash his flanks, since he couldn’t reach. Tizzy was scrubbing down her youngest… for the second time, since as soon as she had been sat down tiny Tala had ran out of the river and into a mud puddle. And while Trapper had been no use in the washing, he did make sure to grab the kids and dry them off as soon as they were done after that. All and all- it had been a nightmare and a perfect distraction.

Trapper herded the children up and looked over to the ones standing soaked in the river. “So are we headed home now? Or do you two want to finish up?” Even without looking at him they both heard the grin in Trappers words.

Clopping out of the water Tizzy stomped down, splashing her mate, much to the delight of the younger ones. “Now we’re finished.” The family started to walk away but Trapper stopped when he failed to hear a set of uneven footsteps in the herd. Turning back he saw his friend still on the rock with her feet in the water.  “My Lady! Do you need help?” His words halted everyone in there steps as they looked to see what could have stalled The Healer.

Lady Snowflake gave him a sad smile and called back, “No. I’m fine Trapper. Just going to let this ankle soak a bit longer before I head home.” Trapper looked up at the sky and sighed. “Alright, but don’t stay out to long. I don’t want you stuck out here when night falls!” Snowflake replied with, “Don’t worry. I won’t.” And Trapper turned to continue with his family when the healer added, “Oh and Tizzy! Could you kick Trapper for referring to me as ‘My Lady’ yet again?” There was a huff, then a solid thwack. Followed by a groan and giggles of children. Slowly the sounds of hoof falls and laughter faded.

For a minute Snowflake thought she was alone. But then an all to familiar sound reached her ears. “If you keep neighing like that Tizzy your children will pick up the habit. And considering how much you dislike the noise from your own mouth, I can only imagine how much you would hate hearing it from four younglings.”

The horse hybrid pawed at the ground with a back hoof as she spoke. “I would throttle the lot of them if they started doing it… Are you alright, old friend? Truly? I know we have lost thing together over the years but somehow it always feels like the world likes to take things from you, more so then the rest of us.”

The little laugh like sound that Snowflake made was more of a worry to Tizzy then a comfort. “I know what you mean Tizzy. I was just harboring the same thoughts. The world loves to take things. I worry that you and Trapper will be the next ones I must let go of. And honestly after all of these years… I fear I would not be able to release the two of you and still be able to breath.”

Tizzy bent her four legs beneath her and curled around Snowflake on their rock perch, as she tried to give comfort with her words and actions. “As I recall, you said much the same thing when Teacher passed. But we both survived that. Just as you will survive this. Trapper may be big and powerful and I may be the fastest and most determined… but we all know that YOU are the strongest.”

The white female reached down and put her finger tips into the water as she said, “To be frank, we both know the only reason you survived Teachers passing was due to Trapper. No adult in the entire forest was willing to take in a horse like yourself, other then teacher. If trapper has not stepped up and worked so hard, despite his family’s wishes, you would have been driven out… and most likely parishes… I had no choice but to keep myself steady and going during that time.”

Tizzy rolled her eyes and snorted, “Lovely to know just how much you really thought of me Snow.” The use of the nickname brought a bit or warmth to the rabbit. “But really now… If that’s the case then… just have a bit of faith in Trapper. He’s not failed either of us yet. And who knows. Maybe this is just the start of something greater. I know a few good suitors who have had eyes for our great Healer for a while now.” And just like that the warmth was gone. The thought of starting over and making a new family, as if the old one had never been… It was crushing.

The horse made the same displeased sound that had started the talk. Tizzy stood back up and said, “I can see my words are not being as helpful as I had hoped. I suppose Trapper gets to say ‘I told you so’ when I get back home. Good eve, My Lady. May the winds carry better things for you tomorrow.”

The dull clumping Tizzy made as she walked off drew out memories of a dejected little horse walking into the forest and being scorned by all… All but the old goose who worked as head Healer for the area. And with that thought came numerous thoughts of meeting her then nameless friend Tizzy, and approaching her with support from Trapper. Of being given the news of apprentice, and meeting her then future mate at the announcement ceremony. Memories of gaining oh so much… and then losing it all.

Snowflake was alone… Completely alone. Even her thoughts and memories left her. Despite the countless tears that she had already lost, more salty water was added to the world.

“Heavens above… if there is a reason… any reason at all… please let the powers that be show me. I can not carry on in this realm if there is not.” As she looked at the sky, for just a heartbeat, the mother swore she heard her sons laugh. The Healer looked around franticly. No one was there but her… Where had the sound come from… Was she going crazy? Looking down at her still swollen ankle Snowflake continued to cry into the river and to think of things that would never again be…

A long ways off can be so close when you think of someone you love. And it can feel even further away then it is when you think of someone you love and have lost.

So while a mother felt like she was a world apart from her lost son, that same son was feeling like his mother was there next to him as he spoke. “And mama, OH she was so mad! Everyone who took the medicine came back panicking over why their tongues all turned blue! Hahahahahaha I made a dash for Uncle Trappers home but Mama got a hold of my ears before I was half way there. Hehe Mama grounded me for a whole week for that. It was sooo borning while I was grounded  but just the thought of the look at Counsel Member Echo’s face made it worth every second.”

All and all Saddle looked rather comfy, curled up on a section of the bed that he and his captor were sharing as story after story was told. It had taken many hours and tales before Saddle had relaxed enough to really laugh. But the more he spoke the more clear his mothers face became and the more at ease he felt.

The wolf next to him looked so much less frightening now as he spoke, “You. Are a rotten little trouble maker, Thumper.” Saddle blushed a lovely shade of red and looked away with a pout. “I’m not a troublemaker. I was just… bored.”

“Oh would you look at that pout… Gonna get it.” Koga leaned in with a little growl and Saddle froze at the sound. Which gave our wolf plenty of time to steal a rather deep kiss. Feeling rather satisfied Koga leaned back and smiled. “What a tasty little treat I’ve got.”

Pulling on a long ear, Saddle wore an annoyed pout as he looked away from his captor. “Why do you have to do that? I thought you said you were going to be ok for a few more hours before your heat thing kicked up again.” A clawed hand reached up and pat the same ear that Saddle has been abusing. “Ah trust me thumper… When you have your first heat, your first natural heat, you’ll get it.” The roguish grin that was flashed set Saddle’s cheeks aflame.

The wolf sat up chuckling. “Well it’s getting late. I guess we should get set for bed. Now be good and sit. Right. Here.”

Saddle drew his arms and legs closer to his body and mumbled, “Like I’m stupid enough to try running again after how well it worked out last time.” Pointed ears caught the words perfectly and Koga called back, “The boy can be taught.” Causing the leaf eater to childishly stick out his little tongue.

Though Saddle did not move from his spot, he did keep sharp eyes on the wolves actions. The canine was messing with oddly flat rock sheets that were near the caves opening. And from the huffing he was doing they must have been heaver then they looked. Even before Koga had them in place Saddle understood the idea behind it. Koga was setting up a door. He was locking his captive in for the night. If the thought alone wasn’t confining enough, the darkness that was growing with every inch that the slate covered sure set the feeling of confinement in place. True the rocks around the area did glow more brightly the darkened it got, and some candles were still lit… but the feeling was still there.

Once the two large rocks were in place Koga went about unrolling a large leather flap that Saddle had completely missed that was attached to the ceiling just over the makeshift doorway. More leather straps were used to tie the flap down to the cave wall. Saddle jumped a bit when Koga suddenly started talking. “Now that the door is all done, it’s on to the fun part.” The dark wolf walked over to a pile of supplies he had to one side of the den. Picking up a long length of rope he then headed towards his rabbit. “Ok thumper. Time to strip for bed.” The Fanged smile would have been sexy if it hadn’t made Saddle’s heart sink.

“W-why do I need to strip for bed? I can just sleep in my clothes!” Saddle felt like cursing himself as he stuttered. Koga leaned in and tapped the twitchy little nose with his pointer finger. “Sorry cutie. But that’s the only thing you have to wear since none of my stuff will ever fit you. So we have to have you wear it as little as possible so we don’t end up over washing it before we get you something else to wear. But I tell you what… How about I sleep in the buff too? Make it a little more fare for you. That sound good to you, thumper?”

Saddle shoved his hands out in front of himself as if they could work as a shield. “NO! No-no! That’s ok. I’m the prisoner. Not you. No need for you to be uncomfortable. I’ll just be good and take off my loincloth.” The boy scooted his butt to the edge of the bed and stood just a short distance away from the wolf as he turned his back. His inner voice was yelling that it was a mistake to ever turn his back to the meat eater but really what was the harm? He had already been kidnapped. He was already trapped. He had already been rapped. And from what the rogue had told him would be again… Saddle could at least try to save some of his dignity by being able to undress himself.

Moving at a snails pace Saddle undressed. Starting with his wrist and ankle furs. He then sat his hands at his waste and froze. Koga’s nose had detected the growing fear before it had frozen the rabbits actions. Taking pity on his little toy Koga asked a question. “Hey Thumper, I’ve been wondering about something. If you high and mighty little leaf eaters are so against killing fellow living creatures, where do you get the furs that I see you all wearing? Bit hypocritical wouldn’t you say?”

Saddle looked down at his hands and began fiddling with the waist of his wrap as he answered. “Leave it to a meat eater to try and dirty an act of respect and honor. The furs we wear are from our fellow fallen creatures. In death they help those of us who are not as strong as them, by keeping us safe and warm. We thank them every time we dawn there protection. No one is ever killed for the furs. There is nothing hypocritical about it.” The cloth had fallen to the ground sometime during Saddles words. The wolf smiled at how perfectly his little plan had worked. His little cottontail did tend to do things better when he wasn’t overly focused on the act at hand.

Koga slid up behind Saddle and wrapped an arm around his waste, pulling the smaller male against him. “Hu, wouldn’t have guessed that was the reason. Ok Bed time. Arm’s out, hands together.” Wait, he was to be tied back up? Again?

Saddles arms twitched as of they wanted to obey but his mouth had its two cent to add. “I have to use the bathroom!” The wolf cocked his head to the side and then huffed. “Fine. Go right down the tunnel. Turn into the little nich to the left. Use the bucket. You have five minutes.”

The young one bolted from the lose embrace and went right to where it he had been instructed. He used the bathroom in what felt like less then two minutes. So he crouched down and counted to sixty three times and then slowly started to walk back out. Saddle had hoped an idea would pop into his head as he counted, but the only things in his head had been the moving numbers and the worry over being tied back down with his rapist. Just because the predator had been being nice to him didn’t make him less of a threat. The sight he found when he rounded the corner of the tunnel increased his worry.

Koga smiled up at Saddle form his spot crouched down by his makeshift bed. He had unwound the rope and cut a section which has been set it to the side. And more importantly Koga had completely stripped. Even the decorative tooth necklace and knife sheaths had been removed. For some reason Saddle could not stop his hand from shoot up and grasping the tigers eye necklace he wore. Feeling it still hanging around his neck gave him a moment of calm before the older male spoke.

“Ready for beddy-by, baby?” The wolf picked up the cut part of the rope and started walking to his little one. “Since you’re being pretty good tonight lets see how you do with just being a bit bound.”

Saddles ears twisted around and he twitch his nose to the side at Koga’s comment. “How do you bind someone only a bit?” Koga stopped a foot away and looked down into his eyes as he answered. “By only binding their hands and feet together. And not binding them to the bed in a very uncomfortable spot on top of it.” The last sentence hung in the air like a subtle threat. Koga held out the rope and waited. Saddle chewed his bottom lip with his nearly buckteeth… Slowly he interlocked his fingers and held out his hands with his head hanging.

The wolf was swift with his knots. Once he was sure the boy’s arms were secure he pulled Saddle around and pushed him onto the bed. “Since you’re being so good I think we’ll stop at your hands. See how it goes tonight. Now move over. I don’t wanna roll over and fall off the damn bed tonight.”

Saddle squished himself as far over to the wall as he humanly could. And Koga followed him all the way over. Saddle turned over and tried to burry his face into the crack between the bed and the wall. So Koga cuddled up and pressed himself right against the perfectly presented backside. Saddle tensed, which caused his hips to move. The low growl that the one behind him made cause Saddle to tense up again and that time the shift cause Koga’s hips to thrust up. The growl kept a steady rumble in the background as Koga spoke. “Keep doing that thumper and my eyes won’t be the only things turning red tonight.”

Saddles gulp sounded far to loud in his own ears. Far to many ideas of thing’s that could be turned red on his body came to mind. The only thing that was clear in his mind was that he would not be sleeping at all this night.
