The sun was shining and a soft cooling breeze was blowing threw his fur as he laid here and closed his eyes. Enjoying the moment of peace and quiet.

She looked out and saw he was asleep, so she gathered a bowl and herbs. She mixed and crushed them into the bowl added water then spoke the spell dropping the hair into the bowl. She stared at the bowl, slowly a light started to glow around the hair. It started faintly then grew brighter, turning a bright purple.

"Shifter."

She washed the bowl out and set it down. She decided to wait.

He was awoken from his light sleep by her coming out on the porch. So he decided that maybe a dip in the pond would be something he could enjoy. She seemed to be busy with her own stuff so it would be safe to shift to his human shape for a little while. He stood up and strutted towards the pond and made sure she couldn't see him before turning o his human form and slipped in to the water.

She saw him move towards the pond and continued her work until he was well out of sight. Once he was out of sight she put down her sewing, stood and sneaked towards the pond. She hid behind some rocks and peaked at him. He was in his human form and he looked amazing. Tall, handsome, muscular and tanned skin. She couldn’t help but stare.

He held up his arms in front of him. His shape shifting abilities had been able to hide the royal tattoos, ancient symbols of kings and spiritual leaders and now... He was the only one left, he missed his family so much and he had failed his people. He shifted away the outer layer of skin that hid the tattoos. His arms, legs chest and back was full of them.

She was impressed by this tat's they swirled around his body in different shapes and patterns. "So you are more than you seem to be?"

He heard something; his head sharply moved at her direction and listened. Moments later he shifted back to the K9 form.

She kicked herself for saying it out loud. She moved from behind the rock and made her way back to the porch.

After taking a little dip he came back all wet, leaving paw prints on the wood.

She continued her sewing, putting on the last square. She looked at him. "Enjoy your swim?"
He didn't show any sign of confirmation, he simply kept going inside.

She tied off her last stitch, her mind going over what she now knew about her guest. Her hands stilled as she remembered how many time she had dressed in front of him or bathed. She turned bright red. "Bad boy."

He looked at her as if he had no idea what she was talking about.

She put her sewing down and went to stand near him. "I know your secret so quit pretending. I can’t believe you watched me naked. I am so embarrassed."

The K9 looked at her again; he shook the wetness out of his fur. She could be bluffing, if she knew who he was, he had to leave. He couldn't allow anyone know who he was and what he was.
She turned slightly away from the water.

"I understand why you don’t trust and why you hide, but you have such a wonderful blessing. I don’t care why those men were chasing you." she knelt down to his level. "You can be who you are here. You don’t have to hide."

She did know, he headed for the door. Even if she said it was safe, he could not allow it to happen. Once outside the door, he took off in to a sprint.

She ran after him. "WAIT! Please." She saw him disappear into the woods. "I only wanted to help." She sighed and returned to the cabin. She dug into her supplies finding a white candle, taking a piece of his fur; she wrapped it around it, pressing it into the candle itself. She placed it in a special holder and lit it. She said a special spell and blessing on it for him. That it would burn for his safety and peace.
