This chapter is a bit longer. Any and all reviews welcome.
Daisuike entered the bar feeling more nervous than he could ever remember being. He glanced around, hoping no one thought he was weird for wearing make-up. If this backfired on him he wasn't going to be very happy with Reiko.
Taking a few deep breaths to calm himself he headed for the bar. He spotted Ruka leaning against the bar and his heart seemed to leap up into his throat and he had to force himself to calm down. Why did Ruka have to be so amazingly good looking? Over the course of the week he’d managed to convince himself that the overwhelming attraction he’d felt toward the man had been the work of alcohol and the drug that woman had put in his drink. He had no such excuse now and wasn’t sure if he should just
leave or risk it.
He could already see several people eyeing the dazzling blond. It was intimidating. He was surprised to find himself anxiously wondering if he was any competition for anyone else who might be interested. He had been shocked when Ruka had invited him out and had said yes on impulse. He hoped it wasn’t a mistake. He’d had a week to think about what had happened and had decided that he couldn’t let his emotional response to Ruka dictate all his actions. He had to be smart about this.
Searching the crowd, Ruka sighed playing with his barely touched drink. He had the feeling that Suke had ditched him. Maybe he had been too pushy and Suke thought he was too straight forward and disgusting. It wouldn't be the first time, unfortunately. Shaking his head he took a gulp of his drink then looked around again.
He spotted a drop dead gorgeous man walking in the front and his breath hitched in his throat. It was Suke, looking so deliciously sexy that he instantly felt himself longing to touch that smooth skin peaking out through the shirt. Watching as he slowly made his way towards the bar Ruka felt nervous. Nervous like he had never been in his life. Why did this absolutely stunning man want anything to do with him?
When Suke approached the words left Ruka’s mouth before he could stop himself, "Are you trying to torture me?"
He licked his lips able to get a better view of him and found himself longing to shove him against a wall and do things he really shouldn't be doing on a first- well not even date. He wasn't sure what this was. But he knew he shouldn't want to be doing those kinds of things so soon.
Daisuike blinked at him and glanced down at his watch instantly feeling bad.
"A-ano . . . I'm really sorry. I didn't think I was that late, it's just that Reiko insisted I change clothes and then she wanted to do my hair and . . . what?" He caught something in the way Ruka was looking at him and stopped unsure of himself.
"Wait- what?" Ruka blinked shaking himself out of his fantasy and then he pouted. Now that was a fantasy he wanted to become reality. Realizing Suke was talking to him he felt bad and his cheeks tinted pink. "Um. . . Oh! No, that's not it. I wasn't waiting long at all. I meant how you look. You look amazing." He smirked drawing Suke closer to him enjoying how the other blushed, his manner suddenly hesitant.
"You look too damn good and I find it hard to contain myself is what I meant. . ." Instantly his fingers trailed down Suke's sides to his waist pulling him even closer and Ruka knew that he was a goner. Suke was just too amazingly beautiful and hadn’t pulled away from his touch like he’d been afraid he might.
Unable to control himself he cupped the side of Suke's face leaning close and kissing him wanting even more but limiting himself to just a kiss. And maybe copping a feel or two. Or three. Or whatever he was able to get away with.
Daisuike found himself at a loss for words and then it didn't matter since Ruka was kissing him again. He was instantly light headed and dizzy from the sensation, the music and people around them faded into nothingness. Those warm soft lips seemed to divest him of all his fears and uncertainties. Before he realized what he was doing he'd reached up his fingers finding Ruka's hair. It was so soft he could barely feel it between his fingers. He shivered the sensation of Ruka against him making him feel weak but in an entirely enjoyable way.
Ruka moaned into the kiss, Suke running his fingers through his hair snapping his ability to control himself. He really shouldn't be encouraging him, he really shouldn't be, here Suke was touching him and kissing him back and he could feel the slight shiver go through him. He had to stop though. He just had to.
Breaking the kiss he whined surprised to hear a soft one from Suke as well. Panting lightly he stared at Suke resting his forehead against his.
"You're making it entirely too difficult for me to be the good guy here." He shivered pulling Suke just a bit closer, "You're driving me insane you realize this right?"
Daisuike shuddered trying to catch his breath. He drew back needing a moment to gather his thoughts. How could something as simple as a kiss make his whole body run hot and cold and make him loose all ability to think straight. He blinked a few times trying to get himself under control. Hadn’t he told himself that he needed to be rational about this and not let his emotions get the better of him? Easier said than done now that he was actually confronted with the captivating manner and stunning looks.
"Sorry." Daisuike smiled softly glancing up at him.
"God stop looking at me like that!" Ruka didn't stop himself from kissing Suke again his grip tightening for a second before stepping back a good two feet. "You're too damn tempting Ouji-sama!"
Reaching for his drink, refusing to get closer to Suke again, he smiled at Suke. He couldn't reach the glass.
"Could you. . . Ano. . . Push the glass to me?" There was the playful smile on his lips again and he eyed Suke a bit. He really wanted to kiss him again and it was hard to resist grabbing him. Dancing was going to be very interesting.
Daisuike slid the drink over wondering what he'd done wrong, but Ruka didn't seem upset. Not with that irresistible smile on his face. Daisuike found himself smiling in response. He was still trying to get used to Ruka's playfulness. It was hard for him relax though. Something about Ruka made him feel both excited and very nervous, almost to the point of being scared. There were just so many unknowns. He'd never had a romantic relationship and really had no idea what he was supposed to do. Compared to him Ruka seemed much more experienced. He ordered himself a rum and coke hoping it would help with his nerves a bit.
He took a sip of is drink, letting the cool liquid burn its way down. He glanced over at Ruka feeling that slight blush already starting.
"Did you want to go dance or did you have something else in mind?"
Ruka smirked sipping his drink then moved back next to Suke laughing, "You shouldn't say that Ouji-sama. There are quite a lot of things I have in mind involving you other than dancing but I don't think you'd accept my offer." He smirked over the rim of his glass taking another gulp.
"Would you like to dance though?"
Daisuike frowned slightly not sure he understood what Ruka was getting at. Shrugging it off he downed the last of his drink and turned to face him.
"Dancing sounds like fun."
Setting his glass aside Ruka reached for Suke taking him to the dance floor. The crowd was a nice size and there was a spot perfect for them. Definitely a good opportunity to get nice and close; exactly how Ruka wanted to be with Suke. Sliding his arms around Suke he pulled him close but not flushing their bodies together, yet. He wanted to just savor this experience first. It was like getting used to the way a new car handled. You didn’t take a new car racing the first time out, you learned how best to drive it first, then you could see what it could really do with it.
The music was good and he got into the beat easily swaying to it and trying not to think how he wanted to find a nice clean wall to do some very dirty things to Suke against.
Daisuike could feel himself starting to relax. The music was good and the feel of Ruka's arms around him was sending little shocks through him. It was a little odd to be dancing so close with someone even if they weren't completely touching. The fact that the person happened to be someone who was so incredibly gorgeous and made him actually feel as though he mattered made all the difference in the world.
He looked up at Ruka, just studying his face and realized he must wear contacts. He liked the green but was curious now as to what his true eye color was. He was so very curious about anything involving this beautiful man.
Catching Suke staring at him he grinned, leaning close letting his breath tickle his ear, "Find something you like?"
Leaning closer he brushed his lips against Suke's neck feeling the racing pulse just under the skin. For some reason it excited him. He couldn't help it as he moved closer flushing their bodies together, swaying against Suke wanting to get even closer if it was physically possible. His whole body was burning and there was a desire building in him he was losing his grip on. It had been so long since he taken things this slow with someone, but he could tell it was going to be entirely worth it.
Daisuike shuddered gasping softly as Ruka pulled him closer. He wasn't prepared for the rush of heat that seared through him at the feel of Ruka pressing against him. How could this man affect him so thoroughly? It terrified him in a way he’d never been in his life. Should he risk it, to abandon his caution and hesitancy and just let himself be swept away?
Part of him desperately wanted to. To forget what he was supposed to be and just be himself, though that thought scared him, a tight spiral of fear lacing through him. What would his brothers think, not to mention the guys he worked with? Was he deluding himself thinking that this person really held anything more than a passing fancy for him? He purposely avoided any close contact with other people because he knew that once they got to know him they were gone. It wasn’t just what he did or what he was, he knew those things would scare off most of people. No, it was who he was.
The way their bodies were moving against each other was causing Ruka some interesting problems and he was having a difficult time thinking clearly. The slow burning heat throughout his body was making him dizzy and his grip on Suke tightened for a moment before bringing his lips up to his ear.
"We- . . .We need to take a break for a bit or else I'm going to be very ungentlemanly and drag you off and do some very lewd things to you. . ." His voice was husky his lust thinly veiled.
Daisuike stopped dancing to look up at Ruka feeling his cheeks warming again. Why did just looking at him make him feel all weird inside and that voice! It was sending chills through him. He'd do anything Ruka said and that thought alarmed him and excited him. "A-ano . . . that's fine with me."
Ruka blinked stopping for a moment. Wait, what did Suke just agree to. Shifting his eyes part of wondered if Suke had meant the ungentlemanly like things, but he had to guess he meant to not dance anymore. Though he'd try his luck. It never hurt to ask, right?
Licking his slips slowly he smiled at Suke, "Ne. . . What's fine with you? Not dancing or. . . going somewhere a bit less. . . public?"
Ruka's question kind of threw Daisuike and it took him a moment to gather his thoughts. "I . . . ano . . . I wouldn't mind going somewhere a bit less crowded. Did you want to go find a table or something?"
This man was going to kill him. Either he was completely clueless as to what he was really asking or playing along and going to make him beg to make them find somewhere very private. Though Ruka was beginning to settle on even a not so private place.
"Sure. . ." Quickly he led him to a booth finding an empty and somewhat secluded one. His hands were itching to move under the shirt and to peel it off and he was getting desperate. Never had he been this desperate.
Sliding in he brought Suke with him letting his fingers trail across his arms.
"Ne. . . Do you realize how stunning you are? The make-up only seems to enhance it." Leaning close he nuzzled his neck some, "You should let Reiko-chan do it more often. . ."
Daisuike chuckled at his remark. "She insisted that I wear it, but I'm glad she did. Especially if you like it."
He glanced over at Ruka a small smile on his lips. It felt nice to be out of the heat and press of bodies on the dance floor. At least here they could actually talk to each other.
"Like it? I love it. Though you look fine normally." Reaching out he started to play with some of Suke's hair mesmerized by the texture of the silky strands. Letting his fingers trail from his hair down to his cheek and then neck he stroked the soft skin he felt leaning closer. Suke's lips looked so damn kissable and he just wanted nothing more than to devour him.
"Ouji-sama. . . May I kiss you? But before you answer know this, if you let me kiss you I don't know if I'll be able to stop myself just at kissing alone. . ."
Daisuike shivered, both from the way Ruka's fingers were caressing him and his words. It sent another wave of heat rushing through him and he glanced away unable to take the look in his eyes. Did he want to go that far? What would happen if he did? It was like trying to decide which knife he wanted to use in an interrogation. He wanted both but could only use one.
"Ano . . ."
Seeing the hesitation in Suke's eyes Ruka smiled, "Don't worry about it." He gently kissed his lips once before parting and moving away stretching. He didn't want to push Suke further than he wanted to go. Ruka had to remind himself that not everyone was like him, loving the way someone felt even if they had just met. It was just so hard with Suke. He had been caught by this beauty and it was hard for him to go slow.
Normally if someone like had caught his attention like Suke had he would've already had them. Several times. In many places probably. Running a hand through his hair shook it some then gripped it, resting his elbow on the backrest of the booth staring at Suke.
"So Ouji-sama, what do you do for fun?"
Daisuike glanced up at him. What did he do for fun? He had to think for a moment and found that kind of sad. He didn't get to have fun much. Although being with Ruka was definitely in that category. "Well . . . I like to cook and sometimes I go to a local bar with my . . . coworkers. Other than that I'm pretty boring. Why, what do you do?"
"Hmm. . . What do I do?" Ruka tilted his head some thinking, "Well I like to go to clubs and drink. I had some other things but I stopped them." He smiled at Suke not wanting to tell him that he'd go around finding people to hook up with if they caught his eye. That and he didn't want to tell him he was searching for someone to take the void away that was inside him, even if he was beginning to think he had found it with the man before him.
Smiling even more he leaned a bit closer moving so he was nearer to Suke again, "So what do you do for a living? You said co-workers? You're friends with the people you work with?" It was a very strange concept to Ruka. He'd normally never go out for drinks with the staff at his shoots.
Daisuike looked away realizing he'd messed up. He couldn't tell Ruka who he was, he 'd never want to see him again. No one wants to be around a yakuza thug.
"Ano . . . my brother owns a bar and sometimes we hang out after work. We are all pretty close really. What do you do for work?"
Ruka let the fact that Suke didn't answer his question slide; some people were embarrassed by what they did. Though it made him curious and he couldn't help but ask. Hell Suke was beautiful enough to do it.
Leaning close to his ear he whispered into it, "Ne. . . Are you an AV actor? Cause you're beautiful enough to do it and most people wouldn't tell people they did it." He looked at Suke quite seriously as he spoke.
Daisuike jerked back looking at Ruka shocked. "Wh-what! No! No I'm not! That's not . . ." Stopping Daisuike rubbed his forehead, letting the shock wear off a bit. "That's not it at all . . . I'm in a family business but, I don't really like to tell people since they tend to get the wrong idea about who I am because of it."
He looked back up at Ruka not sure why he would think that he would be involved in that type of industry.
"Oh. . ." Ruka just shrugged, "Sorry I have a few people I know in the industry and they're pretty embarrassed to tell people they do it for a living so I figured. . . You know." Ruka laughed a bit as he realized what Suke had said.
"I don't think my opinion of you would change even if you told me you were Yakuza." Stretching he smiled at Suke, "I don't care what people do for a living, it's a way to a means and everyone has to do something to live. Some don't like it other's do, it's a toss of the coin and you go where it tells you. Especially with a family business, you don't get much choice usually."
He leaned forward ordering himself a drink from the passing waiter getting Suke another rum and coke as well.
Daisuike nodded, agreeing with Ruka although he had no desire to test out whether he really would think any differently of him if he knew he was Yakuza. He looked out at the dance floor watching the crowd.
"So . . . you never did tell me what you do." Daisuike turned back to him smiling.
Ruka smiled at Suke stretching again. "I model sometimes. If I'm in the mood. My agent wants me to take all these jobs but it's not really like I need the money and I do it because I find the jobs interesting."
He waved his hand a bit. "Anyways, it's pretty boring."
Daisuike wasn't entirely shocked to hear Ruka was a model. He looked like one. It still amazed him that he was sitting next to this person who so obviously could be with anyone he chose. He didn't feel as though he should be sitting there, like he was an impostor or something.
He shifted in the seat picking up the new drink the waiter brought over. He took a quick gulp of it trying not to think about how Ruka would react to knowing who he really was.
Reaching our Ruka stopped him from drinking anymore making him set it down. It bothered him to see Suke obviously upset. Something about the way he was changed and he didn't like it. This was exactly why he didn't tell people he was model or anything about himself, they changed and it seemed Suke didn't think he was 'worthy' or something. Seeming to shrink in on himself some.
Taking hold of Suke's face Ruka made him look at him. Without thinking he moved closer cupping his face and crushing his lips against his. Ruka had always felt actions spoke louder than words and at that moment he really believed it. He wanted Suke to know that he wanted him and no one else.
It took Daisuike a moment too catch his breath once Ruka pulled back from the kiss. His mind was reeling. He’d never realized a kiss could make you feel like that. He was about to say something when his phone buzzed and he was almost grateful for the distraction. He needed something normal and mundane to ground him and get him thinking clearly again.
"Ano, sorry." He checked the ID frowning as he saw Hayate's name flashing on the screen. He'd told everyone not to bother him tonight. It must be something important for Hayate to go ahead and call. "I'm sorry, business call. I'll be right back."
He opened the phone trying to hear as he headed for the alley to try and get to somewhere quieter.
"Wait a sec. I can't hear you." He stepped out into the alley. "What's going on Hayate?"
Ruka sighed as Suke walked away. He really was excited to being able to be with Suke and taking it slow was going to be hard, especially with the way he felt about him. He really wanted to just shove him against a wall and touch him and kiss him everywhere and anywhere he could, but he didn't want to overwhelm him nor did he want to scare him off. That was the last thing he wanted to do.
Licking his lips he took a sip of his drink watching the crowd and waiting for Suke to return. He hadn't looked pleased that someone had called him. Maybe it was work, though he really wondered what Suke did that would make him not want to tell Ruka about what it was. Did he do something illegal? Even if he did, Ruka wouldn't stop being with him even though he would be scared for him.
Sighing deeply he rested his head on his hand anxious for Suke's return.
"Where are you?" Hayate sounded upset and Daisuike frowned.
"I'm out with a friend. Why? What is going on?"
"I just found some things out. That tail that we thought was for Jiro, it isn’t. It’s for you. They are with Interpol. I’ve been keeping an eye on them for a while now."
Daisuike swore softly, leaning against the outside wall of the club. He could still feel the pulsing of the music and wished he could be back inside with Ruka.
"It gets worse. They left a little bit ago and I couldn't follow both cars, but they seemed to know where you were. You need to leave right now Suke."
"What? How the hell would they-"
"Because we are that good."
Daisuike jerked around hearing the voice but only saw two shadowy figures at the end of the alley. He narrowed his eyes.
"I'll call you back." He shut the phone on Hayate's protests. He glared at the two of them. "I assume you're not here for drinks."
There was a soft chuckle from one of them. "No, although it is very tempting. Why don't you just make this easy and tell us what we need to know."
"That greatly depends on what you want to know."
"Cut the bullshit, Kobayashi." The larger of the two advanced on him and Daisuike tensed. "How about you just tell us where your warehouse is? That's all you have to do. Tell us where the warehouse is."
"Zakennayo." Daisuike snarled as he shoved away from the wall fists clenched. He'd been having one of the nicest evenings he could ever remember and these shitheads were ruining it. He knew they didn't have anything on him or Jiro and that it was all just meaningless posturing on their part. They had no real power to do anything.
He barely had time to register the movement before he was slammed to the ground. At first he was too shocked to do anything and by the time he thought about retaliating there was a horrible searing pain coursing through him. He lay there for a moment trying to get his breath back as the weight left him. God he hated, hated being tazered. He was hauled to his feet and shoved against the wall.
"You are going to tell us what we want to know."
"No. I won't." He gasped as the man rammed a fist into his stomach. It was an expert hit, driving all the air from his lungs and immediately making him feel sick. The man let him fall to his knees gagging.
"Yes. You will.

"Yes. You will.
