Chapter 5 End
A thick cloak hid her figure as an oversized hood hid her face as she made her way through the damp streets teetering every now and then into a wall. Emotions bounced through her body like a ball in an empty room, yet her eyes only shown with the madness that consumed her mind. Breaking out in a dead run she sped across the streets blindly jumping up into the air her shredded wings guiding her higher as she landed perfectly on the corner roof of a house the had an alley behind it. Running with her arms out her cloak going back like a cape and her hood falling off revealing her blonde hair and dull broken wings to all, it didn’t matter to her though she had some where to be. It took many nights not yet a moon passing to get any leads of a tracking but she got a swift lace of a trail and she was tracking it to the T. Jumping from roof to roof the sirens of the guards fading the farther she went, her wings useless for nothing more then guiding her jumps and landings much like the cloak that hid them. Ny-yan moved deeper into the Twill Lands where the light was gone and darker creatures roamed it was the last place she was seen as of late.
Dropping back to the streets she pulled her hood securely in place, skidding around corners and hopping over fences she raced to a mansion that grew bigger in the distance. Growing bolder she ran down the sidewalk not bothering to keep her shredded appendages hidden from view, it was a mistake to do that, a dark creature such as demons or vampires can breed with a fae. To breed with a fae would secure a beast that was purely dark in its ways; light can only compromise so much while darkness can go many more directions in its power course. Mere feet from the gates of her destination and damnation, Ny-yan reached out and was yanked back before even touching the gates. Spun on her feet she came eye to eye with silver eyes and elongated canines, a snarling breath brought the smell of decay wafting over her senses causing a heated feeling to throw her stomach contents to the dirt road below. “You are the winged one that let a pixie defile.” Ny-yan stared back at him with hard eyes knowing it wasn’t a question and refusing to be lowered mentally or physically by any thing or one. “Who I am is none of your concern I need to speak to someone in that mansion.” Her tone startled him a few seconds before he let out a hefty laugh, taking a step back he showed her through an opening that wasn’t there before. “Then I suggest you take this route then Madame, or you won’t live to see that person you need speak with. My name is Lucian, yes I am a wolf. I do know why you’re here; we have heard of your travels and seeking even down here.” Lucian led the way down a tunnel and through a few dingy waterways before making it back up into a nice looking house.
Ny-yan didn’t jump at any noises or turn around even if something fell behind her; she welcomed the sounds and awaited her death without fear or haste of it. She of course had noticed his clothes were ripped in very odd places that almost made your eyes have to scan his body to look for more of them and yet tricking you into checking him out. She followed the older male quietly taking in whatever needed to be the words of her care takers rang softly through her mind, with that the need to be at least a tad careful kept her to keep on following him. They came into a room and it struck a cord inside Ny-yan so deep that it almost had her screaming in a rage to attack the thing in front of her. It was the head guard of her father’s, or rather once father’s ship, he laid sprawled on a table top his wings spread open with knives through them like the humans did to bugs. Blood dripped in slow plops to the ground draining down a sewage drain and yet if you listened carefully the sound of groaning could be heard within so maybe it led to a dungeon of blood eaters. “You” Shaking uncontrollably Ny-yan walked around the table staring at the bloody bruised body of the guard wanting to torture his life away. “Do it then! I should of killed you too when I had the chance I knew something was off when you weren’t bruised up.”
Picking up a knife Ny-yan’s eyes died as her emotions became locked away and all that ran through her was revenge for Chaser, it never felt strong as of now, to avenge Chaser for what had to be this man’s fault. “You killed him. You killed my reason for living.” Her emerald eyes were gray and lifeless as she raised the knife above her head aiming it for the man’s throat. “Ny-yan STOP!” Yanked back away from the spitting guard who let out an electric flicker that bounced around his body defending it, Ny-yan’s eyes harden back to emerald as she looked up into the vampire’s eyes that started all this, “Skimp…” He let out a chuckle shaking his brown hair, his blue eyes dancing with dark power. “No my dear, my name is Ashley. It was fate that you met Chaser. It was destiny that made him die but he was the one who dealt the unneeded blow…why not kill him the way he killed Chaser.” Ripping the man off the table his wings tore off the knives that held him down like paper forcing horrid screams to rip out his mouth, he stumbled in front of Ny-yan who was given a sword by Lucian who then left on his own accord. “Do you know Evillynn?” Whispered Ny-yan her eyes dimmed thinking back on that day…the last moments she had with him. “I do, Evillynn dearest.” The guard took those moments to start sputtering out curses toward all of them as even more blood flowed to the dirty floor. He wobbled starting to drag his right leg and stumble out the door clutching his shoulder.
Evillynn took that as her cue to walk in her smile aimed directly at Ny-yan, while pushing the guard back and into a wall harshly. “The answers to your questions Ny-yan are as followed. I was partially part of the plan, I knew what was going to happen, I did not see that creature attack you though and there was nothing that could change it when I had found out. I do owe you and therefore that is why he is there. To set your soul at ease, do it fae, for it will set you free in the only way possible.” Nodding tears fell down in streams as Ny-yan turned and raised the sword shakily. “I hope you’re soul rots and festers like a disease ridden rodent.” Muttering it more to herself them him she thrust the sword into the man’s chest causing him to sputter in mid-curse. She watched morbidly fascinated as he died by her own hands, Evillynn was right her soul felt as if it was flying right now, far away from the pain where no one could touch it again she chanced a small smile as the body began to wither in on itself. Her smile didn’t last long as the darkness seemed to loom back through her making her emotions bounce around again. “My heart is still decaying inside its tomb.” Ny-yan placed the hand that was holding the sword onto her chest and sighed slowly her eyes dying back into their lifeless gray.
Looking at both vampires Ny-yan then looked down at her hands and was pleasantly shocked to see the knife she pulled out one of the wings still in her other hand. “I’m sorry I can not walk amongst the living any more.” Looking at Ashley and then Evillynn she gave a half hearted smile. “Good bye vampires.” Quicker then the vampire’s themselves she drove the knife into her heart and twisted dropping to her knees her wings grew black as a widow fae’s spider silk wings, her eyes melted into a sea of black as her skin grew pale and sickly as dust itself. “Chaser I’m coming baby.” Ny-yan’s blood stopped as both vampires’s stared upon the fallen fae. “It’s a shame she never found out why you were still here.” Evillynn smiled sadly at Ashley who shook his head sadly. “Her heart was too broke and her mind too far gone to bring back, it’s better this way.”
