Chapter Four
~Las Vegas, NV
The nightlight in Sin City was in full swing as a tall, black and purple haired young woman walked along the Vegas Strip in search of a place for a good time. Argona Dracos wasn't the average Were-Huntress, in fact, she was only half. Born to a were-drakos and a druid high priestess, Argona's lot in life was far more difficult than anyone could imagine for she was a guardian drakos. However, that was an aspect of her life that she never cared much to discuss.
Dressed in a black sheer top with a black camisole underneath, black leather hipster pants and combat boots Argona was a gothic beauty that was the envy of human goth crowds that ran around the city after dark. A dragon tattoo encircled her entire left arm, end at the back of her left hand and she had another smaller dragon tattoo that began underneath her right eyebrow and ended under the bottom lash line. If her flawless ivory skin wasn't enough to turn heads, then it was her stunning six-two height complete with curves that would rival that of any goddess. A pair of black wrap-around sunglasses hide her bi-colored eyes from view since she hated the looks she often received from strangers when they saw that she had one blue eye and one green eye.
Argona soon came to a stop in front of one of Vegas's hot spots, a club called `Club Surreal'. A smile played across her full lips for it definitely looked like her kind of place for a night of fun…and fun was something she could use at the moment.

Inside the club, Dallas Daniels sat alone at the bar sipping on a highball while watching the scene. At six feet tall, hair the color of garnets, and curves that were reminiscent of old Hollywood starlets Dallas was a true stunner in everyway. She wore a black leather 3/4 sleeve top with a cut out lace up back, black leather hip hugger boot leg pants, and black stiletto boots. She practically caught the eye of every male, both human and non-human, in the club from the moment she walked in. Her thick scarlet locks were twisted up into a sultry updo, loose curls softly framing her angelic face.
As she nursed her drink, she immediately noticed a black and purple haired woman sitting not far from her and two human males who were trying to hit on her. And from the look on the woman's face, Dallas knew that the woman was becoming more and more annoyed with the men's antics and unwanted attentions. Grabbing her drink as she got up from her seat, the she-wolf made her way over to where the drakos' was sitting then draped her arm around the woman's shoulders in a provocative way, which got the attention of both the men and Argona.
"These blokes giving ye a hard time, luv?" Dallas asked, resting her cheek against Argona's. `Jest play along,' she said through a telepathic link to the other woman.
Argona turned her head slightly and looked at her rescuer and smiled. "Aye, they won't take a hint and leave me alone."
Looking up at the two men, Dallas gave them both a smirk then said, "Why doona ye lads go find something else better ta do other than bother me lady. She ainnae interested in ye're games."
One man worked his jaw in an effort to speak but nothing would come out while his friend stood there slack jawed. The she-dragon wrapped her arms around Dallas 's waist and pulled her into her lap then ran a hand along her thigh. "Well, we are a couple and don't care much for men," Argona said. "Besides, we're perfectly happy together."
Both men immediately took off as the women busted out laughing. Dallas then moved to a seat next to that of Argona's and extended a hand. "Dallas Daniels, at ya service, lass."
"Argona Dracos," the she-dragon replied as she shook Dallas 's hand. "Thanks for the bail out, those two were really beginning to piss me off."
"Human males ken be real pigs. And by the way, I don't swing that way. I just did that ta get them ta stop bugging ya."
"I know, and I don't swing that way either but that was a lot of fun."
"Ken I get ye a drink?" Dallas asked her.
"A Dr. Pepper would be good." After ordering a DP for Argona and another highball for herself, Dallas and her new friend sat and talked at the bar until it was nearly two in the morning.
"Do ya need a ride somewhere, lass?" Dallas asked as she got up to leave. "I ken drop ya off wherever."
Argona sighed sadly for this was her first night in Las Vegas and she had absolutely no place to go. All she had to rely on was the nearest sanctuary. "A sanctuary if you know of one."
"Tell ya what, ye ken crash at my place. It's jest me, my three sisters and two male cousins," said Dallas . "Blaine, Jules, and Mia are very nice as is Tiernan. Aisling is the only one ye will have to watch oot fer."
"You don't have to do that, Dallas ; I mean you hardly know me."
"Nonsense, Argona. We are friends. Now come on and let's go home and ye can meet the family."
