Chapter Five:
Little Red
At that moment her heart halted in its beating. Her feet rooted itself into the tiled floor beneath her, refusing the urge to turn around to face him. Her lower lip quivering in a violent manner while her eyes stung from the tears that threatened to trickle down her rosy cheeks. Is was the asshole that tormented her that night? Was he the one who invaded her thoughts and dreams?
“I know you can hear me, Raven.” He replied in amusement.
A cord of patience snapped within her body at the statement. All sense flew out of her ear and into the stale air while she swirled around and stomped over to the cashier counter.
While her mind was in a blur of red, her hand had a mind of its own. It snapped out and slapped the man causing his head to violently snap to the side from the force of the blow. Immediately, her mind became clear again and regret clouded her eyes when he centered his head, his grey eyes narrowing into deadly slits. Raven took several steps back in caution, gulping down hard as he moved from behind the counter and towards her.
“You will regret that, little one.” He growled softly, moving closer to her in which she took a few more steps back.
“You deserved it. And I hope you're prepared for ass-fucking because you will be someone's jail bitch for a long time when the police find out what you did to me!” She hissed, her face flush from anger.
“If I recall correctly, you enjoyed every single second of it,” His voice lowered. “You wanted me to suckle on that little clit of yours, you wanted me to fuck that hot little snatch.” He continued on as he moved closer and closer to her.
“N-no.” She whispered helplessly, shaking her head. “You're wrong.”
“Keep denying it, baby.”
Finally, her back bumped into a shelf positioned on the back wall of the general store. Her breath caught in her throat as he closed in on her, cornering her like a predator would it's prey but this beast had no intention of harming.
“You aren't going anywhere, Raven. I marked you as mine. The pup within you is mine as well.” He breathed in her ear, his hot breath sending waves of shivers down her spine.
Raven opened her mouth to speak in protest but the bell chimed as the entrance door opened. “Mason, you got any bullets in storage?” An older man called. The two separated which was a blessing in Raven's case. Walking down the aisles, she saw her guardian angel.
“Why hello there.” The older man greeted with a warm, caring smile.
“Um, hi.” Raven cleared her throat nervously, her eyes glancing from the man to the door and then over her shoulder to Mason in which he was eyeing her carefully.
“You must be new to the area, right?”
“Yessir.” Raven quickly nodded her head as she carefully made her way to the entrance door.
“Oh okay. Well have a nice day, young lady. Be careful on the roads.” He waved to her as she pushed over the glass door, bell chiming in unison.
“You too.” She called before rushing to her car. In a hurry, she started the ignition to her car before shifting the car into reverse, jamming her foot on the gas pedal. She sped backwards before shifting the gear into drive and drove down the icy road like a bat out of hell.
She had to get out of here before he found her. Grandma's house was no longer her haven.

“I see you didn't wait in marking her as your mate.” Nathaniel narrowed his eyes at Mason as the young man walked down the aisle and towards his father.
“If you hadn't of interrupted me, I would have marked her again.” Mason snorted as he made his way to the counter, slipping behind it.
“She isn't ready for our kind, our way of life. Do you what happen if the Elders find out about you taking a human as your mate, you will only have two choices, Mason. Kill her or be changed into one of us in a ritual performed by an Elder within a time period of the next full moon.” Nathaniel warned.
Mason clenched his jaw at his father's warning as he walked towards the entrance door. “Where are you going?” His father demanded to know.
“Just watch the store while I am gone, dad. I have things to attend to.” Mason merely stated before exiting the store. Mason knew exactly what she was going to do and he had to stop her before it was too late.

Raven stuffed as many clothes as she could into her suitcase. She didn't have any time to neatly fold them and arrange them by the color like she normally did. With shaky hands, she zipped the suitcase up before lifting it off of the bed and plopping it onto the floor, dragging it down the stairs and into the living room. Rushing into the kitchen, she grabbed her laptop and carefully placed it in its case before grabbing her can of coffee.
Finally, she opened the door but the sight before her caused her to drop the can of coffee onto the floor. The wolf was back. Her eyes widened in shock as it stood before her and when it took a step forward, she throw her laptop at it which lead the creature to yelp in pain. She rushed to her car and unlocked the doors. Throwing her cargo in the backseat, she then started the car but didn't drive away. For one, her grandmother's house door was widen open and two, the wolf laid on its torso, licking its leg in which the heavy laptop collided with.
She felt guilty. Raven sighed heavily as she exited the car and carefully, walked onto the wooden porch, rounding the wounded creature and closed the front door, her back turned to the wolf. “You naughty, naughty girl.” A familiar voice chuckled.
Raven quickly turned around to see him . . . the wolf was just there and . . . “What are you doing here?” She snapped before her eyes trailed down his body and realized he was naked as the day he was born.
“I am here to take what is rightfully mine.” He said. “Where is the wolf?” She demanded to know. Raven hoped she wasn't crazy, she had seen a wolf.
Mason leaned in very close until his lips were mere millimeters from her ear. “I am the Big, Bad Wolf. And you are my Little Red.”
“Please don't.” She squeezed her eyes shut, her body quivering but not from the icy cold weather. He chuckled darkly. “Sh, let me take care of you. Let me make it all better.”
But that's what Raven feared.
