Chapter Five: Too Much Heat


Felix awoke and made an annoyed grumble, and looked around having forgotten where he was. Dragging his body out of the water, he placed hand on his forehead, feeling a sharp pain rush through his skull. "Ugh..headache," the hybrid mumbled, as he walked down the stairs lazily.

The large tank had no visible sign of the mermaid though it’s concluded the experiment must be resting in the bed of the tank where many many exotic sea plants reside. The weeds moved ever so slightly in the water, as if it was in a breeze.

Inside all of those plants, Sui was curled up with his breathtaking shimmering violet tail to his chest with his arms as it’s cage. He looked very pale though it must be from the darkness of the tank as his light bluish-white hair floated in the water. Eyes closed shut, he looked very much like a lost and hurt child as the pains in his body was healed every moment, though apparently not fast or good enough for him to awaken.

Felix went down the stairs in a lazy fashion, his muscles aching. "I need a cup of coffee...no make that a pot of coffee, ugh," the hybrid grumbled as he reached the bottom off the stairs. Walking to the bed, he picked up his pants and slipped them on lazily before walking off to get some coffee in the kitchen. Felix brewed a pot of coffee and took the whole thing with him, not bothering to serve it in a cup. He looked into Sui's tank and sighed softly.

Dreams… were places in which a person’s dreams come true, where anything can happen, where a fantasy is truly a fantasy. It was the one place that he could escape from the pain and the discomfort of the probing of the scientists, the lifeless and obsessed eyes of that scientist who owned him and did nothing but sat there and stared at him. Even the wild sea jungle that was built for him couldn’t keep him away from that scientist’s eerie gaze and the only place he could feel free and clean was when he was asleep. And now, he was, he was free from the scientist who passed away.

But now his dreams were taken over… by a pair of piercing gaze that sent shivers down his body. It was of fear and pain and the instinct to want to run away… but it was also of something. It attracted him like a fly to a light, even though he knew he shouldn’t want to go near it, he did. And he wanted… more.

Those thoughts ran through his mind as he continued to rest inside his tank.

Felix finished the pot of coffee and placed it down on one of the steps. Walking forward, his eyes glowed a eerie blood red as he placed his hand on the glass tank. His wings stretched then folded back in, as he gazed into the clear water, filled with exotic plants and knowing the mermaid was sleeping in there. Just the thought of the other male sent his incubi blood running but, he managed to coax it down as he gasped softly shaking his head, "No...I already hurt him. No more." The hybrid sighed as he ran a long sharp black nail over the glass.

He didn’t know how long he slept but seemed like forever though he really couldn’t tell in his tank and inside the feared building that had no windows as his light bluish-white lashes began to flutter open. He began to uncurl himself as he woke but whimpered in the water when pain shot through his body. Wincing in pain, his eyes shut tightly as his gills moved to bring in water and air into his body. At his awakening, the plants seem to push his floating body up as he craved for some air.

"Hmm?" Felix noticed the plants moving, and saw a glimps of the mermaid. Lazily, he went up the stairs to see if he could spot Sui. His crimson eyes shimmering in the dim light, as he stopped at the first step and looked down into the water.

Like a whale, Sui’s body needed air even though it could live in the water. It was one of his failures as a perfect specimen. He could only stay in the air for so long and the same for the water. Uncurling his long slender form, his scales shimmered beautifully as he forced them to move to bring him to the surface. Little fishes scattered as he broke the smooth water to breath, his hair clung to him as he flung it back and floated on the water with his eyes closed.

"Morning," the hybrid said in his deep voice. His ebony black hair was still a bit soggy from being in the water over night, as it hung low grazing his shoulders slightly covering one of his blood scarlet eyes which shone like gems. He was feeling a bit cranky because his muscles ached and still being in heat put him in a bit of a moody state.

His eyes snapped open as his peace was disrupted and the simply overpowering deadly presence of the other practically made him cringe as he sat up in the water. Turning, looked at the other as he backed away a little, the pain pulsing through his body was a reminder to /keep away from predators/! _______________________________________________________________________
Felix sat down on the edge of the water as he kept his eyes on the mermaid. The hybrid's blood was rushing in his veins but he was able to suppress it better than the night before. Sighing, he closed his eyes and placed a hand on his face as he lay beside the water. Brushing back his mid length midnight black hair, he glanced over at Sui and grunted softly.

But like his dream, he didn’t know what or why but something deep inside him brushed away all those warnings and screams to swim away. Stopping, he paused as he looked at the other with his violet eyes before ducking inside the water so his head was submerged underneath. Quietly, the water of the surface broke again as he appeared though this time much closer to the hybrid but not close enough to touch. Only the top of his head and his eyes could be seen as he cautiously looked at the other.

The hybrid simply looked at Sui with his deadly eyes. His expression was unchanging as he let out a tired sigh, stretching his wings and bringing them back in lazily, as one of them grazed the water's surface. His breathing came slowly as he lay there beside the mermaid's tank, his pale skin contrasting with his black hair and dark leathery wings.

It was that feeling again… the one that told him to simply run and hide though he firmly stayed. Though he was a little scared of that look, he felt that he got use to it as he looked at Felix. He moved a little when the surface of the water had ripples from the wings before coming up a little more so that his head and pearly shoulders were revealed. He came a little closer but not enough as he looked as if he wanted to nuzzle the other’s wing but remembered that the last time he touched it, the other growled at him so he stopped.

"Sui," the hybrid finally said in his deep dark voice, "don't come to close unless you want the same thing to happen as last night. I'm still in heat, and I can't always control myself." Felix grunted, as he moved trying to get into a more comfortable position.

Knowing that and remember what happened last night, he hide himself deeper into the water as his tail swished in the water to keep him afloat. He didn’t know why, but he felt that his body long to be with the other, even in pain and that completely confused him. But that aside for now, he dove into the water and came up again with some dark green thing in his hand in which he nibbled on before offering it to the other silently.

Felix snorted as the mermaid offered him the green substance. He didn't feel like eating anything, and he felt too cranky to want to take anything, especially something that came from under the water. The hybrid groaned as he turned slightly, his muscles aching.

The water moved lightly as his offered hand descended and brought back for him to nibble on. He really wanted to help the other and make him feel better but had no idea what to do. Lost and helpless, he looked around before realizing what he was in.

"I-if you want…" he whispered. "Y-you can drink some of my tank water… I-it’s suppose to have h-healing chemicals.."

"I'm fine.." Felix answered gruffly as he scratched his head, "Sui I'm just..warning you, if I do anything like last night again, try to get away." The hybrid grumbled as he closed his eyes for a bit then opened them again to look at the mermaid.

He listened quietly before whispering, "Why?"

"Sui!" The hybrid snapped at him, almost growling, "do you know what incubi do to their none incubi or succubi mates? They kill them, and I don't want to end up doing that by mistake. And I don't want to hurt you." Felix now sat up, his crimson eyes shining dangerously in the dim light.

The words ’and I don’t want to hurt you’ filled his void heart with warmth as he gave a small smile to the other that many has never seen. Only for the other. Swimming a little closer, he whispered, "I-if you don’t want to hurt me then you won’t…"

"No!" Felix snapped, as he folded a wing in front of himself. His blood rushed, as his heart began to beat faster knowing the other was closer and probably within reach. The hybrid growled a bit, as he kept the mermaid out of his view with his large leathery wing.

Hearing the other snap, he stopped and stared at the other. He really didn’t know what to do. He wanted to comfort the other and touch the other, just one little touch but the hybrid wouldn’t let him. Casting his eyes down and slightly hanging his head, he turned around and looked away.

The hybrid couldn't help it anymore, as his instinct began to flood his mind. Folding back his wing,his lips formed a smug smirk as he reached toward the mermaid and grazed his shoulder gently, "Don't be so sad, Sui. Come.." Felix's deep voice was sensual, almost mesmerizing as he spoke, being a musician he had a fairly lovely and masculine voice.

Turning around at the request, he smiles lightly as his tail brought him closer to the other so that when he reached out, his fingers brushed the other’s arm.

Grinning, the hybrid bared his deadly fangs but not in a menacing fashion as the boy came closer. His hand gripped Sui's arm roughly as he pulled him close, "Didn't anyone ever teach you not to trust predators?" Smirking, Felix pulled him up and licked his cheek, than warm saliva dripping off his tongue.

A small gasped escaped when he was pulled forward and roughly towards the other’s direction. At the other’s question, he only whispered, "I-I know I should run away from y-you…b-but I can’t…"The tongue on his cheek made him blush prettily as he leaned forward very shyly to plant a chaste peck on the other’s lip.

Felix pulled the boy close, gripping him with his sharp claws. "I hope you're ready, cause I won't go easy on you," the hybrid said in a sensual yet almost threatening manner, "You'll want to cry in pain." He grinned viciously as he placed a rough kiss on the mermaid's lips, drawing blood and drinking it. His tongue ran over Sui's lips then his own as he drank the blood.

He gasped again and winced slightly from the pain of being gripped so hard but found that he didn’t mind before his mouth was suddenly kissed so hard that he could feel his blood being drank.
