Chapter 4



The next morning I was woken up as soon as the sun started rising over the eastern horizon. A brunette came in a dragged me out of my hut while I was still trying to wipe the sleep out of my eyes. I was taken up to the Amazon Queen, who was waiting in the middle of the village. “Good morning sleepyhead, from now on you will be expected to be up at sunrise. That will be when your day will start. Your first task will build your endurance, you will fill up the well using this bucket. The river is on the east side of the village. You have 7 days and nights to complete this task.” Oh gods… I have to fill up a well using that bucket , and get the water from the river. What has Artemis gotten me into?

“I understand.” I took the bucket from the Amazon Queen, Coletta, and began my task. I’ll show the Amazons that I can take what they give me. I continued my task throughout the day. Not taking any breaks and eating while carrying the bucket. I didn’t sleep for 2 days. I’m sure the sound of my boots and the sloshing of water in the bucket kept more than a few Amazons awake. I’d run down to the river, fill up the bucket, and walk back quickly so I did not splash a ton of water out of the bucket. By the third day I was extremely tired. The day passed and I kept up the tiring pace that I had set for myself. When night began to fall, the well had finally been filled to the brim. I collapsed by the side of the well and leaned back against it. One of the Amazon girls came over and saw that the well had been completely filled. She ran and retrieved Coletta, who came with a shocked look on her face.

“I see you’ve filled up the well. Good job. Tomorrow, you have the day to do as you please. The day after we will begin to train you in the art of fighting with and without weapons. Go back to your hut and rest.” She walked away, and I stood slowly and made my way back to my hut. I slept through the whole next day. I woke up at sunrise the next day, and met everyone in the middle of the village. A ring had been set up. That day they tested my skills with the sword, dagger, spear, fist, and many other things. The next few months consisted of training me in the ways of fighting and war. I got kicked, scratched, and bloodied up those first few months. Artemis would come down and spend some time with me at night. By the end of the first years, my fighting skills had excelled everyone’s in the village. The only person who I had not beaten was Coletta, the Amazon Queen.

That morning, all the Amazons were gathered in the middle of the village around the fighting ring. Coletta was waiting inside, and I stepped inside to meet her. “What weapon shall we use?” I asked her. She sized me up and down. I was smaller than her. I was smaller than many of the Amazons.

“We will fight in hand-to-hand combat. Take your position and we will begin.” We circled each other for a little while, and the other Amazons watched and cheered from the sidelines. I finally rushed at her, and we ended up in a pushing content. I went to sweep out her legs from underneath her, but she jumped and flipped me over her head as we fell to the ground. We punched and hit, but the hits were all blocked. If she got on top of me, I knew she would be able to overpower me. I decided to do the only thing that I knew would throw her off her feet and give me a chance to take her down. I grabbed her head and kissed her. She looked stunned and stood there shocked. I took the opportunity and hit her with my left and finished her off with an uppercut from my right. She went down on the ground, her nose bleeding. I had taken down the Amazon Queen. She stood up and pulled me to her, hugging me. “Good job, it seems we’ve taught you well.” She whispered into my ear.

That’s when a girl I had never seen before approached the roped off ring. “I want a chance to fight this girl. A sword fight, first to give up loses.” She had brunette hair and almost purple eyes. I nodded my head in agreement to her challenge. One of the Amazons threw a sword to me as the strange girl climbed into the ring. She ran at me as soon as she entered and our swords came together with a clang. The odds went back and forth between us, until she got a sudden burst of energy out of nowhere. Her sword hammering into mine and driving me back. I dodge rolled to the side and came back up blocking another hit from her. I swung my sword at her, and she jumped onto my sword and stood on my sword blade. A grin showing on her face as I looked up at her in shock. She flipped behind me and brought her sword to my neck. “Do you give?” She whispers into my ear. I did not have a choice. She had the sword blade pressed against the sensitive skin of my neck.

“I give, you win.” I said to the girl holding the blade to my throat. Suddenly I was turned around and the girl kissed me. When I pulled away from her, it was no longer the girl standing there. It was Artemis. She smiled at me and gave me a wink. That is when I heard everyone hit the ground. All the Amazons were bowing down to Artemis.

“Why do they insist on eating dirt? It can’t taste very good. Faith, I want you to go grab your things. You’ve finished your training here. A year early too. I’m so proud of you.” I ran out of the ring and over the backs of the bowing Amazons. I grabbed my things and came back with a knapsack. Running back over the tops of the Amazons backs. “Is that all you have after staying here for this long?”

“Yeah, this is all that I’m bringing with me.” She looked back around at the bowing Amazons and shook her head in irritation.

“No matter how many times I tell them to not eat dirt, they decide to do it anyway.” She took me in her arms and we were back in Olympus at Artemis’ home. We both made our way to the bath to get the grime and sweat off from where we had fought. We both relaxed into the warm water. After we had gotten out and dried off, she came up behind me and wrapped her arms around me. “I’ve missed you so very much. I bet you’re a bit sore. If you want, I’ll give you a massage.”

“I’d love that.” She told me to go wait on the bed and that she would be there in a minute. She came back out with a bowl of scented oil. It smelled heavenly, like strawberries.

“Lay on your stomach.” I rolled over and I felt her climb on top of me taking a seat on my ass. I felt her spread the oil over my back, and then her fingers started to knead into the tight muscles of my back. “Your body has developed nicely. It’s toned and defined now.”

“I guess that’s what happens when all you do is fight and do chores all the time.” Artemis laughs at my response and continues to erase all the knots and tightness from my back. I feel her slide down and massage my legs, then my butt, and then back up to my back again. Then her fingers slide over my breasts and I can not help but let a moan escape my lips. Artemis and I hadn’t slept together since before I went to train with the Amazons. Feeling her touching me was almost more than I could take. I’ve missed her touch, the feeling of her hands, and having her hold me. Her lips press against the back of my neck and trail their way down my back. I roll over, pull her up to me, and kiss her lips. She grabs both of my hands and pins them over my head.

“I want to show you how much I missed you. Let me do this.” She looks into my eyes and I nod. She kisses me and the passion behind the kiss is undeniable. Her hands run up and down my sides. She kisses her way down my jaw line, and at my neck she stops and sucks at my pulse point. Her mouth kisses, licks, and nips her way down to my breast. She takes my nipple in her mouth. She sucks and nips at it while her hand tweaks the nipple on my other breast until it has hardened under her touch. She switches and repeats this process on the other breast. She sits up and trails both her hands down my stomach, watching the muscles ripple under her touch. She continues down, spreads my legs, and situates herself between them. She kisses her way up my thighs, and I can feel her hot breath against my mound. She spreads my lips open and takes a long lick up my slit and then plunges her tongue into my hole. My body arches up off the bed, and Artemis uses one of her hands to hold my hips in place while the other circles my clit. My walls are clenching faster and faster around her tongue. She switches up, and suddenly I have two fingers pumping in and out of me and a tongue flicking my clit. I am right on the edge of release. Her name escapes my mouth between moans and gasps. She bites down slightly and sucks my clit. It sends me tumbling over that precipice. When I come back to myself, I find Artemis holding me close. I kiss her. “Go to sleep and I have a surprise for you tomorrow.” She says as she caresses my face. I fall back into unconsciousness as soon as my eyes close.
