Chapter 5: Arilians Attack!



Onyx and Hydra weren't at dinner. Neither were Zorion and Oberon. The crew ate at different times, so we had the ship's dinning room all to ourselves. Instead of a romantic dinner for 2, the dinner quickly turned into a conference. We needed to determine who had sold us out to the Suriuji king, and we needed to do it soon. I told him about Zorion raping Hydra and about how we saw him racing towards the throne room with that little box. Seth seemed really interested in that box. He asked all sorts of questions about it, like how big was it, what color was it, did it have buttons, did it look like it could open, etc. He finally came to a conclusion.

" It was a recording device. Zorion must have taken it from Earth when we were there last year. He used it to record me on how I tricked the guards, and then he played it to the king. He sold us out, Serpia. It was Zorion."

"Can I kill him? I wanna put his head in my father's post garden." (Yes my father had a garden of poles with the heads of the enemies we'd defeated on them.)

" No Serpia. Not yet. We have no solid proof to give to the king that it was him. We'll have to wait until we catch him doing something really bad and record it or find physical proof. Then you can find a nice pole for him, 'cause I will kill the bastard. Until then I'm demoting him and Oberon down to grunt work. We'll treat them like shit. And we'll get people, special ops, to spy on him to make sure he doesn't plot against us again."

" Alright, fine. Enough about that. We have other things to talk about. What is our plan of attack for tomorrow? We still have to kill the Arilians, remember?"

" We're going to dive bomb their capital, Turituri, and kill all the inhabitants one by one. Men, women and children. No one is to be spared. Then we go back to our ships and blow the planet up using one of your death balls."

"You make it sound so simple, Seth. Don't you think that they'll have their troops ready for our attack? I mean, it's not like it's a surprise attack. They're expecting us."

"I know, my Serpia, that they're going to have the best defense the Jeitan army has ever faced. I know we're going to lose half your soldiers. I also know, however, that you are a Chaos Jeitan. You and I have a mission of our own. We are going to pay the Arilian king a nice little visit. I hope we're in time for tea…"

I smacked him. "Don't be an idiot."

He rubbed his now tender cheek. " Who said I was joking…" Then glancing at the hand I just raised to hit him again, " Ok, Ok… I was joking. Please don't hit me…"

I was just about to smack him again when he pulled out his best defense. He gave me the puppy dog look. Teary eyes, lower lip stuck out and all. He was quite good at it. I lowered my hand. He was my weakness and capitalized. He pushed me back into my chair and started to bite my neck. I bit him back. We continued our play until we heard someone cough behind us. Seth turned, blushing, ready to kill the poor soul who interrupted us. Thank god it was Onyx. He had a huge grin on his face.

"Finished, Commander?"

Seth gritted his teeth. Onyx was the ONLY man alive who could get away with teasing him.

"Finished what, exactly?" Onyx just grinned.



"Jeez, I've never seen you so red before… you look like a tomato."

Seth smartly tried to change the subject. "You and Hydra mates yet? I mean, it's only been 4 hours… Guess you have problems with certain things, eh, Onyx?"

" Who said we only did it once, commander? 4 times, before you ask. And yes, it was excellent."

" You know me well, don't you? There's some food left over. Serpia didn't eat it all for once." Seth said jokingly. I punched him in the arm.

" Hey! Don't be meanie, Seth. We all know you're the one who shovels it in faster than you can swallow." I turned to Onyx, "Where's Hydra?"

"She should be in our quarters. She should be dressed by now…"

I stood up quickly "Thanks. See ya!"

Seth looked at me in surprise as I dashed off. " Where are you going?"

"Away from you and your sharp teeth…" And then I whisked out the door and ran down the hall to Onyx and Hydra's room. I could hear Seth swearing and Onyx laughing all the way. I knocked on the door and let myself in when I heard Hydra ask who it was.

" Hey girl! What's it like to have a mate? Onyx just strolled into the dinning hall, looking all pleased with himself. He and Seth are having a bit of a teasing match. You know, the usual… Seth saying Onyx has problems, Onyx laughing in his face. It's kinda funny if you ask me."



" Yeah… man am I ever sore, though. He and I… we did it 4 times… at least I wasn't a virgin. That would've killed. Hey, check out how deep the bite is where he marked me… I think I'm gonna need stitches…"

She had a point. The bite mark was really deep, not to mention bloody. Even with all her pain, I could see she was just plain delighted, especially when she asked me if I thought it would scar. I said of course. I mean, what cut that deep wouldn't?

"Hey, Serpia? How come you had red hair and gray eyes when you came back to the ship today? You never got a chance to tell me what happened…"

" Well, I went into the throne room and they were just about to slit Onyx and Seth's throats. I got really, really angry and I… well, I turned Chaos Jeitan. My hair went all light colored and my eyes turned green. Anyways, I killed all the soldiers around me, then the king and then the soldiers holding Seth and Onyx. Then we went up to the ships."

" Cool. I just can't believe it… I mean you, my best friend in the whole world, a legendary Chaos Jeitan. That is beyond cool."

"Well, I just came to see how you were doing, Hydra. I better get back to the main control room… Seth's probably missing me… enjoy your new mate! Don't forget to get lots of rest; we've got battle tomorrow. Good night."

I left the room just as Onyx went back in. He winked at me as I passed. I didn't go to the main control room, though. Instead I headed for the training room. I had used it on the odd occasion, but more often than not I trained in the bedroom or the dinning room when they were empty. Today was different somehow. I felt that, as a soldier, I needed to train. I started with a light warm-up and proceeded to heavy kicking and punching combos. Then came the ki attacks. I trained for nearly 3 hours before my body felt tired and beaten. I needed a break. For 15 minutes or so I argued with myself. My body won and I agreed to take a break. A short one. I was just about to resume training when Seth walked in. He looked at me wearing my leather armor and cape instead of my usual soldier's garb and grinned.

" I thought I'd find you here. It's nearly 9. You need sleep."

I was in no mood to be told to go to bed.

" Either stop your bitching and train with me or get out."

He did his little half smile, the smirk that made him look incredibly hot. He picked up two staffs and threw one to me. I caught it and twirled it in front of me. It dawned on me that he'd never seen me staff fight. Heh, well he'd sure see it now. I ran towards him, staff twirling at my side, and forced him to take a couple steps back. That was all I needed. While he was stepping back I took the staff and smacked him in the back of the knees. I followed through with the motion, tripping him. When he was on his knees I sat behind him and held my staff to his neck, whispering into his ear, " You picked the wrong weapon, now didn't you?" He just gulped in reply.

We didn't go to bed until after midnight. When we did we had no energy left to do anything. I just kissed him and went to sleep. My bruised body was the first thing I noticed in the morning. I knew I shouldn't have spent 3 hours sparring with Seth. I knew he was feeling it even more than I was. We woke at around the same time and were facing each other. I woke up looking into his deep, multi-colored eyes. I smiled. So did he. A guard suddenly rushed into our room.

" Commander Serpia! Arilia is in sight! Get dressed quickly. We'll land in 20 minutes."



Then he left. Seth and I leaped out of bed and were both dressed in full war armor in less than two minutes. We reported to the deck just in time to see one of the other large ships explode after being hit with a laser beam. They were ready for us. Just as the ship exploded a ton of bug fighters raced up at us out of the Arilian atmosphere. Small laser beams shot by our ship. I turned to the weapons operative.

" Those bastards are firing at us! Take them out NOW! Locate the laser on the planet and annihilate it! I SAID NOW!!!!!"

The soldier got right to it and soon bug fighters were exploding around us. We were having trouble steering our ship through the debris field. I told the communicative operative to give the order to invade the planet. Seth and I watched as thousands of space pods raced past our ship towards the planet below. Seth and I left Onyx and Hydra in command of the ship and joined the speeding space pods in two of our own. We landed on the surface of the planet several minutes later. The Arilian atmosphere was extremely thin, but was very high over the planet. It was no good for cover. I radioed this back to Hydra and she opted to stay in he current position several hundred feet above the atmosphere. Hydra was definitely a smart girl. Seth and I landed with the other soldiers right outside the city. It didn't take long to group the soldiers together. Turituri wasn't a very big city, but it was densely populated. We knew Arilian soldiers were patrolling the streets right now. I chose a sector of the city and gave them a little gift.

"From Novajita with love." I said as I blasted a 5th of the city away using the infamous Super Spark Attack. It gave away our position, but who cared. I gave the order to destroy everything in the city, including all Arilians, regardless of age. When the city was gone, we would met at the city's edge and get back in our spaceships. Once we cleared the atmosphere I would destroy the planet.



My troops charged forwards, meeting a squadron of Arilian soldiers rushing towards us. Dodging the ki blasts and leaping over the bodies, Seth and I made our way into Turituri. We killed any civilians or soldiers we saw on our way to the palace. The guards at the palace wouldn't let us in so we simply just blasted them and the door and carried on. We went through the halls of the palace killing whatever members of the court we could find. We found the young princess in her chamber. She begged us for mercy. I was about to spare her when Seth snapped her neck. I felt so guilty. God damned soft spot for kids.

We continued to the chamber outside the throne room. I was just thinking about how I was going to kill the king when the doors were thrown open. The king stepped forwards.
