Chapter 5

Blayne didn't know how much time had passed when she woke feeling the most comfortable she could ever remember being, and the most trapped. She felt like the guy on each side of her was trying to cuddle the other, despite her being right between them. A heavy leg was across her waist, and another from the other side was over her leg. An arm was across her neck, nearly strangling her as it was literally was curled around her head. Another arm from the other side was across her chest, the weight of the huge limb only bearable because it was also on the man on the other side, allowing her that little bit of room to breath.

She wanted to never move. She wanted to stay that way forever. She needed to pee!!

Using several well placed jabs of her elbows, a lot of pushing and lifting, and loads of wiggling, she finally managed to free herself. She about fell to the floor as she pulled free of the last obstacle and scowled down at the men lying on her bed. Her mind called them several names that were synonymous with large and stupid, but as she started to calm she couldn't help but to just stand and stare. She abruptly disregarded her painfully swollen bladder and her heavy breathing from the effort to free herself from her own bed.

Individually they were each comparable to the most beautiful men she'd ever seen. Together they were breath-taking. Their noses were almost touching as they lay facing each other. Even unconscious they seemed to be reaching for each other. They each had one leg bent and pressing against the other, and with her out of the way their free arms had returned to make contact with the other. Had she been in that little space in between them? Damn! She was surprised she wasn’t dead. They were a twisted grasping pile of muscle and male flesh, probably more than five hundred pounds altogether, and she had been buried in there!

She allowed a shiver of pleasure to slide down her spine. Inner muscles that hurt from overly hard use flexed on themselves, causing an uncomfortable yet enjoyable ache. Her gaze drifted over muscle and flesh, literally feasting on the spectacle before her for long minutes. She shifted from foot to foot, her aching bladder trying to make itself known.

With a mischievous grin and a furtive glance at them she went through the connecting door to her office and lifted her digital camera from its base. She made sure to turn off the flash and proceeded to circle the bed and take pictures. After a dozen or so pictures the clicking of the camera was starting to make Levi stir. She stilled and waited, watching them carefully to make sure neither man was waking. Then she rolled the chair from her office quietly into the bedroom and up to the bed. She carefully climbed up onto it and took several pictures looking down at them.

As she returned the chair and the camera back to the office she felt very naughty and very pleased with herself. Back in the bedroom she got some shorts and a t-shirt for herself. A moment of insight had her laying out two pairs of sleep pants and extra large t-shirts for them. Then with a last long look at them asleep on her bed she left to finally go relieve the pressure of her bladder and take a shower.

A half an hour later Blayne was standing in the kitchen drinking a can of Diet Dr. Pepper with her hair wrapped up in a towel. A magazine was open before her on the counter, and coffee was brewing nearby.

“What’s for breakfast?”

She looked up to see Levi standing in the doorway. He was wearing the cotton pants she had set out, and no shirt. The pants were big, she usually bought them big, and they actually fit him. The soft material hugged his ass and legs perfectly, without looking too tight, and she vowed that when he took them off she'd keep them forever. His hair was defying gravity, standing on end so well it appeared he'd styled it that way.

Blayne smiled hesitantly at him, feeling suddenly nervous. “Breakfast? Never touch the stuff," she said, trying to sound more nonchalant than she felt.

He smiled sleepily at her and came forward, and she somehow forced her eyes back to his face.

He stopped several feet from her and leaned a hip against the counter to face her. “Coffee?”

Blayne glanced at the steaming pot just reaching its fullest. “Never touch that either.”

He took one of the cups she’d set out and preceded to fill it. “Smells damn good not to be touchin’ it.”

Blayne shrugged and drank from her soda as he carefully sipped from his steaming mug, their eyes holding each other over their drinks for a long moment.

Blayne smiled as she set her can down. “I make coffee every morning. Just love the smell. Can’t stand it though.”

He gave her that little smirk of his, “You make coffee everyday and then just throw it away?”

Blayne flipped her magazine closed and pushed it away, her eyes never leaving him. “Call me stupid. Caffeine is caffeine and I’d rather have mine cold.” Grabbing her can she moved past him.

“What about breakfast?” he asked.

When she turned back at the doorway he had turned to face her. “It's more like lunch time.”

He shrugged on thick shoulder. "Whatever."

Blayne held his gaze, her brows lifting. "I never promised food."

The reminder of what she had promised sent her body into overdrive. Her libido instantly turned a simple conversation into a sexual experience.

As though he could sense her reaction, Levi stepped toward her. The coffee mug was set aside on the counter as he approached her. His look was hooded, his lids lowered into a suggestive gaze that sent her already heightened senses into a raging spiral. Her chest nearly heaved in an attempt to get enough oxygen, her heart hammered, her skin flushed with heat.

She had to raise her head to continue to look at him as he got closer, invading her space. The doorframe bumped against her back, though she didn't remember moving.

Those brown eyes pinned her, stole her breath, held her immobile. Then his hands were around her neck, cupping her head, holding her. His mouth was on hers an instant later. Demanding a response, he pressed her back further, his entire body working to keep her from moving, or even giving her that option.

He tasted of coffee and sleep. The roughness of his tongue swept into her, dominating her, and she loved it.

She lifted her hands, feeling adrift, needing to touch something. Warm hard flesh was her reward and she moaned at the feel of him. Her fingertips gripped at him as her legs began to weaken. His assault was steady and thorough, stealing her ability to think, to function. Her nails dragged across his skin, making him shift, forcing her into the wall, and they both groaned at the new points of contact.

His mouth pulled away from hers. Teeth grazed roughly along her jaw, scraping against her skin. His hold on her wasn't gentle. She could feel the tenseness in him, his strength held in check, but just barely.

"Who in the hell are you?"

His rasped words fanned the nipping bites he was giving her jaw and neck and throat. She held still beneath his ravaging mouth, not wanting to push him any further, already on the verge of being in pain.

"All I want to do is fuck you."

Blayne smiled at his complaining tone, relaxing slightly at his words, and then even more as his mouth stopped.

He groaned low in what seemed like frustration, and then just leaned his cheek against hers, his panting breath fanning her ear. For long seconds they stood without moving, almost holding each other, pressed to the solid wood doorframe. Finally he took a deep breath and pulled back, shifting his feet away from her so that his lower body was no longer pinning her.

"I can't keep going without food, woman."

The smirk was back. His control was back.

Blayne was nearly ecstatic to think that she'd almost caused him to lose it. The thought of this virtual stranger in her home nearly threatening her didn't scare her at all. Maybe it should have. She was alone. Would have no way to defend herself. And most likely her body wouldn't be found for weeks, if not months. But she wasn't afraid. She was excited.

"So what you're saying is that you want me to spread my legs for you and cook for you?"

His brows lifted, and then he was smiling. "Yeah."

Blayne rolled her eyes. "You don't ask much." She made to move and he was instantly out of her way, stepping to the side. The towel that was wrapped around her hair had loosened and had only been being held in place by the wall at her back. When she moved it slid free and she caught it and tossed it over the back of a kitchen chair, moving back into the kitchen. "Did anyone ever tell you that you're rather high-maintenance?" she asked with a smile as she pulled a hair-tie from her pocket to hold her hair back.

"I can help," he offered as he lifted his coffee cup again, settling against the counter to drink.

Blayne turned with an impish smile. "That's good. Cuz I can't cook."

Forty minutes later Blayne finished setting the table and turned to Levi. "Done?"

"Done." He lifted the pan from the stove and served the eggs out onto the three plates.

Blayne was actually impressed. She hadn't been lying, she could not cook. Levi had taken pity on her after the first few minutes of fumbling around. Either that or he was trying to impress her or show her up. Either way, breakfast was cooked, and Blayne was impressed.

He'd found a package of steaks she hadn't known she had and after a quick thawing trip through the microwave, he'd cooked them up. She'd been in charge of toast, which was relatively easy, and she knew she could make toast.

They'd heard the shower upstairs turn on and then shut off. That had been minutes ago, and with the smell of the food, they had both joked that it would only be minutes before Craig showed.

Craig appeared just as they were finishing. Blayne did a stuttering double take on him. Bare-chested and wearing only the other pair of sleep pants. She felt particularly overdressed, the only one wearing a shirt. She thought of setting the tee's out with the pants and wondered why she'd bothered.

"Coffee?" she asked Craig after ogling him for a few moments. He nodded in answer and she moved to get him a cup. Levi nudged his own cup as he was returning the pan to the stove and she gave him a haughty look, but then filled his cup anyway.

Craig sat and picked up the mug she set before him as soon as her hand was clear. She and Levi sat. For a span of thirty seconds or so no one said anything. They just looked at each other.

Blayne grinned, the discomfort they both felt was nearly palpable. After a moment she took pity on them. "Guys, eat. There's nothing left to feel awkward about."

They looked at each other and then both smiled, Levi giving his usual smirk, and they picked up their forks.

Within minutes they were absorbed only in their food. Blayne picked at her eggs. The steak took up more than half her plate, its greasy juice running everywhere, spoiling most of her eggs.

"That's a nice computer you have."

Blayne lifted her head, on high alert. Not only had she just 'stolen' pictures of them, but her computer was her baby. Her last boyfriend had made the mistake of turning it on to type up some stupid thing he needed and she'd been livid. She'd yelled at him for an hour, and then not spoken to him for a good day. No one touched her computer.

"You were in my office?"

Her carefully precise words caused both men to still and look at her. Levi's eyes swept Craig in a nearly accusatory gaze, but Craig didn't flinch.

"Yeah," he said in answer to her question, and then continued, "Did you mod the case yourself?"

Her tower was huge and she'd added glowing green lights inside just for the hell of it. A clear window in the side allowed the light to spill out, and the contents of the tower to be seen.

"Yes."

Craig nodded and resumed munching on his toast. "I'm impressed."

Levi hesitated for a moment longer before he continued eating as well. Blayne never took her eyes off of Craig.

"I wish you . . ." She paused, trying to think. She really didn't want to cause any animosity over something so stupid, but she needed them to understand that she could welcome them into her home, but that did not include her office. "My office is . . ." She stopped again, not liking the way that was going to sound.

Craig smiled at her. "No problem. I'll stay the fuck away from your computer."

Blayne met his smile with a grin of her own. "I'm sorry. I'm just a bit overprotective."

"Are you going to eat that?"

Levi's question startled her. She pulled her elbows from the table, revealing the food on her plate that had barely been touched.

She shrugged at Levi. "Sorry. I told you I don't touch the stuff."

He reached for her plate, but Craig cut him off. "Hey! Who says you get seconds?"

Blayne rolled her eyes. Did men only think about food and sex? She picked up her steak knife and cut the greasy thing on her plate right down the middle. Lifting the plate towards Levi's she asked, "More eggs?"

He shook his head and smiled. She shoved one half the steak off onto his plate and then plopped her whole plate done in front of Craig. "There."

They both watched her sit back with her can of soda.

"You sure?" Craig asked, his hand poised over his fork.

Her brow wrinkled as she stared at the food in question in near disgust. "Yes."

Neither waited for further invitation, digging in as if it were the first plate, rather than the second.

"So what do you do?" Craig asked around a mouthful of food.

"I'm an editor."

"You work at home?" he asked.

Blayne nodded in answer, allowing her eyes to roam him freely, not caring that he was watching her check him out.

"So you never leave your house?" Levi asked, his disbelief apparent.

She shrugged, setting her soda can aside. "I do occasionally. I did last night," she reminded him.

He rolled his eyes and continued eating.

Craig set his fork down, the second plate now as empty as the first. "Mmmm, thanks."

Blayne smiled, "Don't thank me. Levi cooked."

Craig's head cocked to the side as he looked at her. "You don't leave the house and you can't cook. How do you survive?"

"Take out."

He just smiled tolerantly, as if he really didn't believe her.

Levi sat back and patted his stomach, triggering a loud burp that had him grinning at his own rudeness. "Excuse me."

Blayne stood, pushing her chair in. "Well, this conversation is rather stimulating, but I have to go potty."

Ten minutes later she emerged from the bathroom, having spent an extra couple of minutes brushing her hair out. Stopping in the downstairs hall she listened. Nothing. She frowned. She'd expected them to still be in the kitchen chatting or doing whatever guys did. She smiled to herself as she walked to the kitchen, thinking of what these two did in their free time.

The kitchen was empty. The table was exactly as it had been when she left, dirty plates and all. They were gone.
