Tim got dressed into a pair of jeans and a shirt and walked out of his room closing the door. Krista’s door was closed so he knocked on it. “Krista, I’m leaving now, I’ll be back in a little bit.” He waited for her to come out of her room. Alyssa heard his voice and she peaked out her door to see what was going on. Krista came out of her room and smiled at him. He walked up to her and stood right in front of her. “Don’t be gone too long; you know how much I hate waiting.” Tim laughed. “Yes I do know. Oh, I almost forgot I want you and Alyssa to start packing tonight and to tell Eric as well, we are leaving tomorrow to go to my parent’s house and then to the beach.” “But, I thought we weren’t leaving until Monday morning?” “Well I wanted to take my vacation early and extend my vacation longer.” “How long are we going to be gone?” “Let’s see, tomorrow and Sunday, then another 2 weeks after that.” “Really?” “I want to spend as long as I can with you.” He smiled at her, then leaned in and kissed her lightly on her lips and then again with more force. As he went to move away he sucked on her bottom lip lightly. “God I love you so much.” Tim said smiling. “I love you too.” Alyssa watched in total disbelief, she was in total shock at what she had just seen and heard. Alyssa closed her door quietly, picked up the phone and called Eric.

Eric and Scott were in the car driving home from work, when Eric’s cell phone rang. Eric looked at his cell phone. “It’s Alyssa.” Eric told Scott. “Hey baby.” “Hey, what are you doing?” “I’m just driving home from work. What are you doing?” “Nothing, Tim said we are going to leave tomorrow morning to go to his parent’s house and we are staying for 2 more weeks after this Sunday. He said I needed to call and tell you.” “Well I will call my boss and ask him to extend our vacation. So I will call you back in a little while, and tell you what he says ok?” “Ok, I love you.” “I love you too baby.”

Tim backed away from Krista and turned to walk down the hall. “Tim?” He turned to look at her. “Hmm?” “You need to wear jeans more often you have a really nice ass in them.” Krista smiled at him. Tim shook his head, and laughed. “I’ll make sure of that.” Tim turned and walked down the hall and downstairs while Krista stood there staring at his ass. Krista walked over to Alyssa’s door and opened it just as Alyssa put the phone down.

Tim walked downstairs and into his secretary’s office. “Nancy?” “Hello Father, your 1:00 appointment was here and I called up to your room several times but you didn’t answer. So they left and said they would come back tomorrow and your 2:30 appointment is waiting for you in your office.” “Cancel all my appointments for today, tomorrow, Sunday and the week after next week, I’m taking my vacation early and extending it. I am on my way out but I’ll be back soon and I’ll tell you what else I need you to do.” Nancy nodded her head as he walked out of her office and out to his car.

As soon as he got into his car he pulled out his cell phone and dialed his friend’s number. “Hey, I need a favor, is there anyway you could make me a necklace with a heart made of diamonds and engraved in the gold says I Love You Always?” “No problem Tim, it shouldn’t take me too long. If you leave now and come down here it should be done by the time you get here.” “Thank you Keith, I’ll see you in a little bit.” Tim drove to Rite Aid and bought a pregnancy test, but he was so worried about Krista being pregnant he forgot to buy condoms. Tim got in his car and drove to Keith’s store to pick up Krista’s necklace.

“Who was on the phone?” Krista asked Alyssa. “I was just talking to Eric and telling him that Tim is taking his vacation early and that we are leaving tomorrow to go to his parents and then down the ocean.” “You were listening to us talk?” “Yeah, I can’t believe he told you he loved you, I never thought he would tell you.” “He told you he loved me? Why didn’t you tell me?” “He never told me I figured it out and he confirmed it. He didn’t want me to tell you. He said he would never tell you because he couldn’t let his feelings be known, but apparently that’s not the case anymore.” “I didn’t believe him at first when he told me.” “Krista, I don’t want to see you get hurt. You need to protect your heart Krista.” “Why? He told me he loved me.” “Do you remember watching The Thornbirds?” “Yeah, of course I do.” “Do, you remember what Ralph told Maggie?” Krista just stared at her. “Ralph told Maggie that he loved her but he loved God more.” “Alyssa, that was in a movie, this is real. Tim loves me. I mean he truly loves me.” Alyssa’s phone rang it was probably Eric; before she picked it up she looked over to Krista. “Just keep that in mind Krista.”

Alyssa picked up the phone. “Hello?” “Hey baby.” “Hey, what did your boss say?” “He said I can have off 1 week because he needs me to finish a project we are working on the 2nd week, but he needs me to work this weekend and Monday, possibly Tuesday. The same goes for Scott but we will be meeting you down the ocean either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.” Alyssa’s almost died when he said Scott was going with them. “Oh…that’s great, I’ll tell Tim and I guess we will see you then?” “Yeah, I will meet you at Tim’s parent’s beach house right?” “Yeah, you have the directions right?” “Yeah, so I’ll see you soon.” “Ok, see you in a few days. I love you.” “I love you too baby.” Alyssa hung up the phone and looked at Krista.

“We have a problem; or rather you and Tim have a problem.” “What do you mean?” “Scott is coming.” “WHAT!?!?!?!” “Yeah, Eric and Scott are going to meet up with us down the ocean either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. I only told Eric but he must have told Scott.” Alyssa explained “I’m going to kill your boyfriend. What am I going to do?” “At least you have a few days together.” “Yeah a few days aren’t enough. This is great, he finally tells me he loves me and now I can’t even be with him for the entire fucking vacation.” “Think about it though, how are you going to be with Tim when we’re going to be around his family? Either way with or without Scott there how are you going to be with him while you are with his family? “Oh, I’d find a way trust me I would find a way.” “Krista, are you seriously starting to consider fucking the man in a closet?” Krista looked at her and thought about it. “You know that isn’t a bad idea.”

Tim drove to Keith’s jewelry shop, which was in Glen Burnie and walked into the little jewelry shop. Tim walked up to the counter, when Keith turned around with a red velvet case. He placed it in front of Tim on the counter. Tim’s eyes glanced quickly to the small box, which he opened up to reveal Keith’s magnificent work. The necklace was exactly what he had asked for. Krista would love it; he could already envision the expression on her face as he would lay it upon her fragile neck. “Keith you are a miracle worker.” Keith laughed. “I am just good at what I do my friend.” Tim smiled at him. “There’s no doubt about that. So how are you, Becky and the kids doing? “ “Well Becky is pregnant again, so Summer and Bryan are really excited.” “Keith that’s great, congratulations!” Tim said shaking his hand. “Thank you. We just hope we aren’t surprised with twins like we were with Summer and Bryan. That was a big shock.” They both laughed. “Summer and Bryan are great kids, you and Becky are very lucky.” “Yeah we are very lucky. They already love the baby and its not even here yet. They sit there and talk to Becky’s stomach, it’s so sweet.” “How far along is she?” “Almost 7 months, her due date is August 16.” “Do you know what you’re having?” “No we want it to be a surprise.” “It seems like you are doing good these days.” Keith nodded his head. “Yeah, better than ever.” “Well it’s good to hear that. So how much do I owe you for this?” Tim asked pulling out his check book. “$250” Tim looked up at Keith with a questioning look. “You don’t have to do that.” “Tim, just write the check for $250 it’s the least I could do. I’ve known you since grade school and we’ve been through many things together.” Tim wrote a check for $250 and made it out to Keith’s Jewelry and handed it to Keith. “Are you going to visit your parents for your birthday?” “Yes, I’m actually leaving tomorrow morning with Krista and Alyssa.” “Oh, yes how are those girls doing? I haven’t seen then since Christmas.” “They are doing great. They’ll be Seniors at Seton Keough this fall.” “It’s good to know they are doing better. What happened to there mother was horrible.” “Yes, it was very hard for them, but they are doing very good now.” “We’ll have to get together when you get back from visiting your parents to celebrate your birthday.” “Ok, I’ll give you a call when we get back.” “Alright, have a safe trip.” Keith shook Tim’s hand and Tim quickly left the shop.

As Tim approached his car his cell phone rang. Looking at the number he realized it was Krista. “Hey, what are up to? “Nothing, but I’m afraid I have some bad news.” Tim got into his car. Looking at the bag that contained the pregnancy test. “What is it?” “Well, Alyssa called Eric and told him about the trip. Well apparently Eric told Scott, I guess because he figured it was also an invitation for Scott too. So Eric called there boss and asked him if they could take off and his boss said yeah but that they both had to work this weekend and Monday, possibly Tuesday. So they are going to meet up with us either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning down the ocean. Isn’t this just great?” Krista said sarcastically. “Hey, don’t worry about it; at least we’ll have a couple of days together.” “Tim that isn’t enough! A couple of days won’t cover it.” “Krista calm down, we’ll figure someway to be together trust me, we can figure something out.” “And what if he sees us or he finds out?” “We can talk about it on the ride to my parent’s house.” Tim sighed and ran his hand through his hair. “Listen to me you and Alyssa finish packing and be ready when I get there to leave, if we leave tonight we’ll have more time together. Ok? I will be there in a little bit.”

Krista hung up the phone and went to find Alyssa who was sitting in her room staring at a picture of her parents. Who had left her a good 5 years or so ago. A small tear fell down her face, now realizing Krista was standing in the doorway she brushed it away with her index finger quickly. Krista walked over to her best friend and implied “You miss them don’t you?” “Yes, and I always will, but that will not bring them back. So tears are simply just a waste of water that my body could use else wear.” “Its ok to cry you know, I cried for what seemed like forever when I finally realized I was alone except for Carey, Robin, you and Tim.” “I know I heard you. I know how much you grieved. Now we must get moving Tim will be back at anytime to pick us up.” “You’re right. Are you taking your car? Or are we just riding up with him?” “You are riding with him. For it may be one of the only times you have alone with him. So I shall take my car.” “You really don’t have to.” Krista said with a sad look on her face. She did not want her friend to feel as if she was not welcome in her company with Tim. But convincing Alyssa otherwise was always like talking to a wall. So Krista gave up her thoughts and left the room.
