Part four
A/N: Here are a few things to know about this chapter:
(name) = the person that sings the lyrics.
No name in front of the lyrics means that Tsunami is singing.
All songs are in Japanese.
Avenge the Gods is a band that I created for this story and all songs are written by me.
Part four
Avenge the Gods
Tsunami sat up awake in bed. Her arms circled her legs, pulling her knees to her chest. She sighed softly and looked at the sleeping form of her husband beside her. He was on his stomach with one arm wrapped under the pillow and the other placed beside his head with an open hand. His body rose slightly as he took shallow breaths. The soft cream white hair fell delicately over his handsome face. Framing his features and covering his neck, the shoulder length hair slid down slightly as he turned in his sleep.
Another sigh escaped Tsunami’s lips as she got out of bed and walked to the balcony. The rays of light that shone over the mountains in the early morning touched her pale, bare, naked form. Her long hair fell over her breast and swayed slightly as her graceful footsteps brought her to the balcony. She crossed her arms and leaned on the railing. Today was the day, she thought. When night falls we’ll see if I can really save you, Zaine.
“What are you thinking about?” Kyusai walked up behind the demon and wrapped his arms and wings around her, pulling her body close to his.
“If I told you that then they would no longer be my thoughts. Because then you’d start thinking about them.” The red head closed her eyes and lay her head against his chest, wrapping her long black tail around Kyusai’s waist.
“Maybe that’s what you need,” Kyusai said softly.
“What do you mean?” Tsunami asked in a tone that indicated that the answer was already hers.
“I know that you’re worried. We’ve done this many times before but this is different.” Kyusai lowered his head to rest his chin on her head. He took in a deep breath and savored the scent of her sweet smelling hair. “We have never had to go up against one of our own, one that has been around long enough to learn the way we think. Also, you’re worried about disappointing Ryu.”
Silence filled the air for a moment. Then Tsunami let out a small laugh that confused her husband. “You actually think that it matters to me what Ryu thinks?” Her yellow eyes opened and gleamed with a challenging fire. “And you can believe that Zaine doesn’t know me as well as people think. I’m not concerned. Everything will go according to plan.” A weak emotionless smile spread across her face.
Kyusai hugged his wife tighter and kissed her neck. She wasn’t lying. She wasn’t telling the truth though. Regardless of what you say though, he thought, your heart will always be there arguing with your mind. In the end, you do push aside your emotions and manage to remain heartless in order to be successful. But does that mean that one day you will completely swallow all emotion to return to the way you once were? “I worry about you.”
“Don’t. I’ll be fine.” Tsunami turned in Kyusai’s arms so that she was now facing him.
“Maybe right now, but you can’t keep this up forever.” Green eyes gazed at yellow ones. A silent understanding shone in them, letting the mage know that no matter what he said she would not listen.
“I won’t have to.”
Kyusai closed his eyes and sighed softly. After tonight she wouldn’t be able to do this any longer.
~A founded secret never told…forgotten memories unfold~
Ryu sat with his eyes closed and his arms folded over his chest. He couldn’t get the sight of his innocent and frail lover, now a vicious beast of legend, out of his head. He didn’t know what to do. He wanted to save the boy at any cost but could not go against his orders. If he disobeyed Tsunami’s commands many people could get hurt. But if he did as he was told there was a chance that he could lose his koi forever.
“What’s the matter, Ryu-chan?” Kokaku walked into the room and took a seat beside the blonde. “Thinking about your lover? Or maybe you’re thinking about the Emperor.” Ryu’s eyes shot open and he glared at the older man. “Wouldn’t blame you. God himself would have dropped to his knees at the mere sight of such a beautiful man.”
A slight blush crept up to the sorcerer’s face at the memory of the day before. That perfect body, flawless light skin, creamy soft hair, delectable frame, tight muscles, and the glimpse of the man’s beautiful passion. It was true that he couldn’t stop thinking about Tsunami’s husband. He was trying though. The blonde had finally succeeded until that asshole Kokaku brought him up again. There was a feeling of guilt that washed over him. Thoughts of his wonderful lover could be pushed aside so easily to think of another man—one that he didn’t even know that well. Was that supposed to signify something? He wanted to be completely devoted to Zaine, but how could he be sure that he could remain faithful with such thoughts? He didn’t want to hurt the boy. Yet he knew that if—no—when Zaine found out about this he would be devastated. Zaine would find out. He couldn’t lie to the boy and not telling him would just tear the blonde apart from the inside. What could he do…?
Ryu felt a strong hand push him gently back onto the bed, which they were sitting on, so that he was now laying down. Instinctively his arms relaxed to rest at his sides. He looked up to be met with kind green eyes. They were not filled with lust or desire but sadness and understanding. He moved to sit up but was pinned down by strong arms on his shoulders. “You look sad,” Kokaku’s voice was soft as his grip relaxed.
“Yeah,” Ryu’s voice was also soft as all his anger vanished to be replaced with emptiness, “well so are you. Why are helping us? Zaine is my lover. You are not one of Tsunami’s subjects. You may be one of the colony’s bounty hunters but you have no allegiance to the Council, so why?” The blonde grabbed one of the vampire’s hands that was placed on his shoulder.
Kokaku turned away for a moment without speaking. It almost seemed as though he would start crying. Then the blue-haired man turned back to meet the blue eyes that stared at him. “You’re right,” he began, “but you have no idea what this means to me.”
Ryu lifted his hand and ran his fingers down the side of the older man’s face. Whatever it was that troubled him, he thought, must be worth going against the beast that can kill him. As much as he does annoy me, and the fact that he jacked me off without finishing, I hope that whatever he has to prove doesn’t cost him his life. His thoughts were interrupted as a chaste kiss was placed on his lips.
Kokaku did not deepen the kiss but waited for a response. It took Ryu a few moments to decide whether he wanted this to stop or encourage the man on top of him. Finally he kissed back and was surprised when the older man pulled back and laid his head on the sorcerer’s shoulder. Kokaku wrapped strong arms around Ryu’s waist and nuzzled his nose slightly into the blonde’s clothes, taking in his scent. Surprised by the lack of aggression, the younger man did not push him away. Instead he remained still and allowed the form beside him to seek whatever comfort he thought he would find.
~A fragment spark that bores…a world of many storms and wars~
Kai sat with his thoughts to himself, tuning his synthesizer and running through all the recorded beats. His fingers pressed each key while his ears paid special attention to the sound and the rhythm that could be started. It was going to be a long day. He and Tsunami had only five hours to write four songs, create a beat, create an arrangement, and then improve on the arrangement. After that, the band only had five hours to learn to play and sing these songs perfectly by heart. It was nothing new though. Avenge the Gods had always worked like this: slack off and then finish everything at the last minute. It worked out well enough.
“Kai?” The blonde looked up at the Empress. “Are you concerned about tonight?” Tsunami looked at him and smiled.
Blue eyes looked around the room at the emptiness. Kyusai and Tatsuyomi’s instruments were set in the room, waiting to be invoked with the power of sound. Kami-sama only knows what those two are doing. They always did this. Neither of the brothers came in until it was time to rehearse. Never actually having anything to do with the making of the songs, Kyusai and Tatsuyomi were out doing whatever they pleased until it was time to work.
“No,” Kai breathed out, “slaughtering vicious beasts that can tear off your limbs and keep you alive as they feasts on your flesh is simple. Writing these arrangements is what’s going to kill me.” With a slight pause for humor, he turned back to the task at hand—finishing his work before the concert.
The demon noted the sarcasm in his voice and resumed what she had been doing. She sat on the stool in front of the black baby grand piano and concentrated on each note that she played. Her hearing was godly and every time she tuned the piano it was exact on the sound. The quality of the vibrations that filled the air was also greater due to the materials of the instrument. The keys were made of teeth, each one with an intricate design carved on it. The body was made of bone, sanded and polished to the highest degree. Even the piano strings were unique in that the wire was woven together with fine strips of crystal that could be twisted as though they were made of thread. It had taken Tsunami months of research to find a sound amplifier. But when it hit her, construction of her piano began. Two years later she had a unique instrument that sounded like no other.
Her delicate clawed finger dropped on the finally key. Silent acknowledgement passed over her as she stood—finished tuning the piano. Yellow eyes traveled over to a black guitar case in the corner. With a small sigh and steady steps, she walked over, picked up the case, and walked to a seat near the piano. She opened the heavy case and took out her guitar. It was a polished black instrument that could be struck once and be heard for a thousand miles.
“Well, Tsunami,” Kai walked over to her and handed her a piece of paper with music written on it, “tell me what you think. If you like it, we can begin practicing so that I can get the arrangement in sync with your singing.”
Her intense yellow eyes swept across the paper, playing every note in her mind. After a few moments she gave a satisfied smile and stood. Holding her guitar close to her, she gave the paper back to Kai. “Let’s do this!”
~Forgotten wounds never really heal…a sensation of pain the heart can feel~
Kyusai and Tatsuyomi walked down the dirt streets of the colony, on their way to the studio. The mage kept a tight grip on the small object in his hand. It was a simple item but knew that it would make a great gift for his wife. Tonight was going to be a rough night and he wanted to relieve some of her stress by making her happy. There were other means of going about doing that but this was the fastest; after all they had work to do.
Both brothers stopped as they reached the building. They looked up at the structure and sighed. It was a very tall and nice building, but everyone that worked there: producers, managers, CEOs, and executives all had minds of death. They took their jobs seriously and expected perfection down to the letter. It didn’t bother Kyusai, Tsunami, and Kai as much as it did Tatsuyomi. The eldest of the brothers always insisted on slacking off and that aggravated the employees. So it was a struggle and near death war whenever they entered the building.
Against all reasoning, they opened the doors and walked in. Every head in the room turned to bow at the Emperor and glare at his brother. Kyusai dismissively nodded his head, allowing them to resume what they were doing. No one gave Tatsuyomi a second thought after that. They just went back to work. This confused the sorcerer as he and his brother proceeded up a flight of stairs to the floor on which they were scheduled to practice on.
Within moments of entering the building and beginning the climb up the stairs, both men arrived at their destination. They stepped into the room and saw that Tsunami and Kai were conducting the arrangements for the piano and synthesizer portions of the song. The Empress was gracefully swiping her fingers across the keys improving on the notes that sounded too flat. The blonde sitting beside her was recording over previous beats that did no justice to the arrangement at hand.
Tsunami’s gaze lifted as her husband approached them and leaned on the piano. She gave a soft smile while searching his face. He was waiting for something. Her yellow eyes saw the patience in his soul. That was a trait that was always there, always present within the qualities that make him who he is. “You’re late.”
Kyusai smiled kindly and nodded his head towards Tatsuyomi, who was getting set up behind the drums. “Brother wanted to see Kiyoko before practice.”
The silver haired man grinned and took hold of his sticks. He looked at the sheet of music that was already nicely prepared for him. Quickly reading through the notes and arrangement, Tatsuyomi struck the first beat and carried on to play past the first three lines. “You guys better get started! I can’t play the song alone.”
Once again the mage’s grip tightened around the object concealed in his hand. “Could,” he began softly, motioning his wife to the door, “I speak with you in private?” Kyusai’s green eyes looked at his brothers for any arguments. There were none as his gaze fell on the demon for acceptance.
Tsunami stood from her piano and nodded at the younger man. “This will only take a moment,” she said to the others and followed the Emperor as he walked out of the room.
They stepped outside and rounded a corner to make sure that Kyusai’s brothers weren’t listening in through the hall wall. Tsunami stood and looked out the big glass window that made up half of the hall wall. She looked down at all the busy people, going about their daily lives. Everyone in the colony knew to always be prepared for a mission such as tonight. Danger was not a new threat to this civilization. The inhabitants of this thriving land were all warriors—demon jackals that would take up arms, regardless of how innocent and nonviolent they lived and seemed. The Empress knew very well though that it was her duty to defend them so that they would never have to fight again. They had done more than their share of killing in the war. After that bloody time she had promised that they would have peace and would never have to dirty their hands again. She intended to keep that promise. “We don’t have time for this.”
Kyusai walked up beside the red head and also looked out the window. He too felt the same way about upholding the peace. “It’s hard to believe this has lasted for five years.”
“You wanted to talk to me about something?” she asked, turning towards the mage. Her eyes were an emotionless ocean and her face without expression.
Green eyes turned to search the features of his demon. “Are you alright, koi?”
“Why do you ask?”
“The simple well-founded concerns of a life partner,” he said softly and smiled warmly.
“You know that your concern is misplaced.” With a slight jerk of her head she moved some locks of hair that fell over her arm. “But yes, I’m fine. I’ve been thinking about Kokaku. He seems determined to find Zaine—or the thing that bit him. He’s never been serious about anything in his life and now that this happens he’s a loyal dog of the Council. Vampires are well enough liars but he can’t think that I’m so easy to fool. No, he’s hiding something.”
“You won’t ask him though. I wasn’t aware that you cared so much. I think I might feel a bit jealous.”
“You’re delusional! I don’t care about that pervert, but I can’t let the heir to the vampire empire die.” Tsunami crossed her arms and leaned on one leg so that her hip stuck out slightly.
Kyusai laughed lightly at how cute the woman looked. He walked around behind her and leaned in close to her ear to whisper. “Whatever you say, my lady.” He placed a chaste kiss on her cheek and then dangled the object he had been holding in front of her face for her to see. It was a necklace with a silver chain and a pendant that was about an inch and a half long. It depicted the figure of a black rose with blue chains falling around it. When she made no attempt to take it he unclasped the clip and put it around her neck. “This is a good luck charm for tonight.”
Tsunami looked down at the piece of jewelry and ran fingers softly over it. It was beautiful, to say the least. She turned to face the white-haired man. Her eyes were innocent and she had a slight blush as she wrapped her arms around his waist. “Arigato, Kyusai-hun.”
He continued smiling, holding his wife for a moment. Strong hands pried her from his chest and held her away. “Come on. We leave my brothers alone long enough and they might just start lusting each other.” He took hold of her hand and dragged her back to the studio.
~Obsessions and broken hearts never had reason…abandoning love is as good as treason~
“Report! Where do we stand?” Kokaku asked the smaller man.
“Sir, Sectors 5, 7, 10, and 14 have been cleared. There is no longer any present danger there but there have been sightings of the beasts heading in two different directions: 874QR2 region and the Dragon Colonies.”
Kokaku smirked at such stupidity. So, he thought, her plan worked. Oh well, she’s got her werewolves. Now what will she do with them? “Continue your patrol and report back to me if you find anything.”
“Yes, Sir!” The smaller man saluted and walked off.
Green eyes looked up at the evening sky. The sun was setting behind the mountains and coloring the clouds a beautiful shade of purple, orange, and pink. A yawn escaped his mouth as he looked down at his watch. 7:00, he better get moving. The concert was scheduled to start in an hour and there was no way he would miss this for the world. He mounted his bike, put his helmet on, and started the engine. With a cloud of dust he drove off in the direction of the stadium.
~A yielding power thought so great…ripped from the soul with endless hate~
It was dark when they finally opened the doors to the stadium. Thousands of people flooded in, fighting to find the closest place to the stage to stand. People of every species and different race congregated all about the empty room that was the stadium to behold the performance of the century. Among the crowd that was making its way in were the special guests that had been expected to be there.
Backstage…
Kyusai pulled on his boots and looked at himself in the mirror. He and all of the others in the band were wearing their bounty hunter clothes, with a few additions to make them look like stage outfits. His black clothes hugged his skin tightly and left nothing to the imagination. The long sleeve leather shirt had three buckles going down his chest, one on each upper arm, and one on each cuff of the sleeves. His matching leather pants had three buckles on each thigh and one around the waist. His boots also had a row of buckles that fastened the whole shoe. A small smile tugged at his lips, remembering many nights in which Tsunami had lusted for him while he wore this uniform. She had said that black suited him quite nicely and the way that it outlined his body was sexy. “Tonight might be more interested than we had hoped for.”
“Hey!” Tatsuyomi stepped into the room, the chains clipped onto his own leather pants clinging together. “We’re on in five. Come on.”
8:00 P.M.
The stadium was full and all the entrances secured. All the lights that had been on were turned off, leaving everyone in the dark. In moments, the stadium ceiling began to open and reveal the night sky so full of stars. When the retraction of the ceiling was complete an announcer walked onto the runway that was connected to the stage. Two spotlights turned on and aimed at him as he began to speak, the audience already calling out for the band. “Welcome to the Black Dome! Tonight we have a very special presentation of a band that is both well known and loved. It’s been two years since there last appearance and now they return to play a concert that will go down in history. Please—show how much love you have—give a warm welcome to the band that rose from the ashes, Avenge the Gods!” The announcer walked off and the crowd erupted into howls, whistles, and cheering. Both spotlights were turned off, again shrouding everything in the dark. Through the shadows the announcer’s voice cut in again, “Now, starting things off, the song that made them famous. S.M.S.!”
In the blackness that covered the stage, Kyusai opened his eyes and brought down a mighty hand that struck the cord heard around the country. That one sound echoed from his guitar and carried for a thousand miles. Blue and purple lights lit up and illuminated the stage as Kokaku joined in with the drums and Kai with his synthesizer.
High above the stage Tsunami hung suspended in the night sky. She wore all black leather. Buckle boots and gloves, a big leather headband that had a buckle across it, a short shirt cut off just under her breasts, and a loincloth that connected to a belt. It showed her upper thighs and was long enough to reach her ankles. Slowly she fell backwards. Plunging head first to the ground, she reached up and touched the necklace Kyusai had given her. Yellow eyes opened. Turning the mic on her headset on, she flipped backwards in midair and landed on the runway of the stage, shattering the platform. Her back was to the crowd that was cheering louder than ever. She smiled at Kyusai before turning around and unleashing her mighty voice.

Tsunami walked to the stage and lifted her right hand into the air. As soon as the music ended, the runway began to sink into the shadows of the floor. It disappeared and flames erupted around the Empress. They burned off her clothes and manifested new ones. Her arm came down in a quick motion and the flames vanished. She was now dressed in accordance to bounty hunting. She still had the headband, gloves, and boots. Now she also wore a leather one-piece swimsuit with buckles on her neck, chest, over her breasts, and across her waist. Black jeans that were cut off at the knee accommodated her hips, along with two belts. And finally, a short sleeve coat hung from her shoulders. The only accessories given to her uniform were pieces of barbwire that wound around her waist, neck, and tail.
The announcer’s voice came again, “Alright, beautifully done. We’ll be moving on now with no interruptions. Let’s hear it for Saigo no Sasageru Koto!”
The Empress grabbed her guitar from the floor and started the song with a mighty note.

Kyusai’s guitar was the last to be heard as the sound faded away in the distance. “Shibararete-iru nai Genkai!”

Tatsuyomi struck his drum one last time and it hummed out the end. The crowd erupted in screams of joy. Kai put down his guitar and walked over to the piano that was set up beside his synthesizer. “Omoide Shinfoni,” his soft voice said, silencing the crowd. Kokaku watched the blonde from backstage as his fingers began to glide over the keys.

Both Kyusai and Tsunami’s guitars rang loudly for the longest time. When the sound ceased to carry, the audience cheered and screamed. People held up signs and threw flowers. Security had some difficulty maintaining the order as some over zealous fans tried to climb up on stage. Among the crowd that cheered were the beasts that had been expected. They blended and waited for the signal.
Kokaku clapped from behind stage. This had been the greatest piece of concert he had ever heard them sing. Alas, it was going to be cut short. The Empress had been positive that they would wait until the end of that song. Kokaku had never questioned Tsunami due to the fact that she had always been right. Even now that she was going up against creatures unknown to the present, her instincts could always be trusted. “Are you ready for this, Ryu?” Kokaku turned to the blonde that was standing beside him. Ryu’s blue eyes were directed elsewhere amongst the crowd. “Hey! You okay?” Kokaku looked to see what was so interesting that the blonde had a horrid look on his face. There, in front of the stage, was Zaine. He had an evil grin on his face and the distant darkness that glowed in his eyes was disgusting. A testing smile spread across the vampire’s face. “Right on time.”
Zaine’s orchid eyes looked at the man standing beside him. He nodded his head in silent agreement. With quick movements, the aqua green-haired man leapt at the stage. His body changed and his clothes tore. By the time he landed in front of Tsunami he was completely transformed into a werewolf. With his eyes glowing a blood red, he threw his head back and howled. The sound from his voice cut through the cheering and silenced the audience. His howl reached out towards the sky and called to the moon itself.
Ryu ran on stage and drew his sword, Kozaki. “Nice to see you again, lover. What brings you here?” His voice was forced steady. Staying calm and acting as planned was difficult. All he wanted to do was drop to his knees and cry. That part of him was fighting the sanity. Another piece of him wished for the strength to slaughter the vile beasts, especially the one that attacked Zaine, in one vicious attack. But he remained still, awaiting his orders.
Zaine’s head jerked towards his soul mate. His eyes narrowed in an inaudible emotion. Behind him, from within the crowd, four others jumped up on stage—transforming like the sorcerer had. The crowd began to scream and panic while the guards tried to evacuate the stadium. The werewolves looked around at the panic and then their eyes fell on the royals. Like Zaine, one of them stuck out amongst the rest. He was the tallest of all five and had a silver coat with black stripes on his arms. His eyes seemed to gaze upon Ryu with lust.
Tsunami and the others put down their instruments and took up arms. They all picked up their swords and tore off their headsets. The bounty hunters gazed at the animals, trying to decide how strong they each were. Three of them looked quite weak and inexperienced at fighting. Zaine, of course, was well trained and street smart. He had the instincts to survive and the power to be destructive. The other—the one with a silver coat—looked as though he too could be a threat. Of course that was yet to be seen, but anything was possible.
“Kosuke!” Kokaku’s voice came from behind the stage and they all turned to see what the vampire was up to. The blue-haired man, seeming without fear, walked to stand in front of the bounty hunters. He stopped and held his ground within a straight line of the silver werewolf. Kokaku’s calm façade seemed to turn to anger and sadness beholding the sight in front of him. “What are you doing here? Why have you broken your promise?”
The werewolf looked at him. Its eyes softened a bit but his expression showed no intention of answering.
“Kosuke, don’t just stand there like a mute! Tell me why,” Kokaku stepped towards the silver beast once. His green eyes were focused on only one person. Everything and everyone else was insignificant and dead to his ears and thoughts. “I want to know…”
The eyes of the werewolf seemed to falter as he stepped back. Zaine took his opportunity to attack and lunged at Tsunami. She jumped to the side, avoiding his assault, and thrust her sword into the ground. She had no intention on killing him. And as such, there was no need to use a weapon that had the power to destroy the entire planet. “You want my life, Zaine? Try and take it!”
Kyusai watched the three remaining werewolves. Their eyes gleamed and their chests heaved up and down. Green eyes swept over their bodies, watching for any sudden change in posture that could indicate an assault. They were restless, the mage could tell. Appearing as though they were ordered not to attack, they stood there and looked at possible victims with annoyance. “What are you waiting for?” Kyusai asked. “Could it be that someone has a firm hold on your leash?” A wide grin played across his face and compelled his hand to tighten around his sword.
One of the werewolves grunted and rushed towards the mage in anger. His claws opened and his mouth dropped to show his sharp teeth. “No! Don’t!” came a voice from behind the werewolves. Kosuke ran forward but was stopped by a strong hand on his arm.
It was too late. Several guards dropped from the ceiling, draping a silver net on the three smaller werewolves. On contact the net flared up with pulses of electricity. The creatures inside screamed and howled for the longest minutes. Then they fell to the floor in a pool of their own blood. Their lifeless bodies were still being shocked, even after their lives had ended.
“Leave,” Kokaku looked at Kosuke with worried eyes. “Get out of here now!” His voice carried a tone of concern.
“Thank you,” he whispered. Kosuke jumped onto the stage and grabbed Zaine around the waist. “We’re leaving.”
Zaine looked from the werewolf to Tsunami and then Ryu. He had no choice but to retreat. He turned to leave but was stopped by his blonde lover. “You can’t go!” His voice was forced angry, as he wanted to fall and cry—beg his koi not to go.
“Out of the way!” Kosuke dragged Zaine and pushed Ryu out of the way. Ryu fell and watched as the two werewolves ran out of the stadium and into the night.
“No! Come back!” Ryu stood and ran out after them. He pursued them into the forest and stopped at a clearing. They were gone and left no trace. Yet somehow his feet had carried him to this place. How fitting, he was standing next to the hot spring he and Zaine had first been intimate in. He glanced at the moon and allowed tears to fall freely. “Zaine!”
A/N: Here are the translated versions of the songs:
“S.M.S”
I know that the world doesn't turn without the pain of living
But we can stand again
Hold your head up
Don't let the weight of memories destroy your soul
If you can forgive me I know that my life can serve to save you all
Let the rain fall down on you
Wash away the sorrow
Clean the blood from your hands
Allow light to close your wounds
I know we will make it through
Our souls will be saved
Am I a failure
Because I have lost my innocence
I thought the world should be the same
Only now do I realize that my strength comes from all of you
My hopes to sleep
A home in my heart
Fighting might not have been the answer
What if I had hid in a corner to cry
Would we be here right now
Our home in rubble
But buildings can be rebuilt
A life taken can never be given
We will hide the doubt when we turn back the pages
Because now we are strong enough
It is not too late
Let the rain fall down on you
Wash away the sorrow
Clean the blood from your hands
Allow light to close your wounds
I know we will make it through
Our souls will be saved
Let the rain fall down on you
Wash away the sorrow
Clean the blood from your hands
Allow light to close your wounds
I know we will make it through
Our souls will be saved
Let the rain fall down on you
Wash away the sorrow
Clean the blood from your hands
Allow light to close your wounds
I know we will make it through
Our souls will be saved
“Saigo no Sasageru koto” (Last Devotion)
I remember loneliness that seeped into my soul
Crushing hope and belief that I would survive
Living on in an image of salvation looking through darkness
Crying forever like shadows that can't see passed broken glass
Without light to show me my way
~I roam blindly
I can't see you
Although I know pain surrounded me
Time won't stand still
Rain won't fall as blood
Anguished tears will release hate I feel
Beyond the reach of commotion
Motionless sorrows will run to escape my love
~I roam blindly
I can't see you
Looking to forever
Suspended on falling winds
Transcending to eternity
~I roam blindly
I can't see you
Countless confessions are searching to answer unspoken by lives yet to behold
Sounds I hear are far away
Hiding emotions that can show
Until I'm strong enough to stand
~I roam blindly
I can't see you
Looking to forever
Suspended on falling winds
Transcending to eternity
~I roam blindly
I can't see you
Looking to forever
Suspended on falling winds
Transcending to eternity
Transcending to eternity
~I can't see you
"Shibararete-iru nai Genkai" (Boundless Limit)
Emotions flow passed empty spaces
Circling shadows to lead them to their Heaven
Now is a time to be consumed by lasting madness
Forsaken for not knowing how to see the light
Sinking beyond help and out of reach to others
Still dreaming of breaking the chains that bind
~Shatter boundaries
Stay in place and see through eyes not your own
Stop your tears
Face the world standing tall
Now's the chance to change your destiny
Never look back
It'll carry you away
Healing wounds turn into burning scars
And words echo for some time
~Shatter boundaries
The year old blood spills to stain in red
Dust flies away carrying all memories
Cold is left behind
Dreams can't change that easily
~Shatter boundaries
A life can grow
Leaving behind no traces
Whispers call out
Reaching for happiness
Threads of fate coil around so slowly
Gripping on tight
They'll hold you forever
You battle on to find a place where you belong
Seeing past what is there
You finally find yourself
~Shatter boundaries
Flying so high up
Wings spread across the sky
A burning sun will fall
To ignite the stars above
Look into reflection
Frozen motion
Until you can carry on
Boundaries are reaching you
Flying high
Look into reflection
It will hold you there
~Shatter boundaries
Boundaries are reaching you
“Omoide Shinfoni” (Memory Symphony)
For years I have lived with my sadness
It became so strong
Now it consumes the memories to which I have become accustomed to living in
But people are not listening
I do not care to explain
Even then,
My memories cannot keep me happy
Over time those images turn to anger
I cry for the scenes I used to see
That which I now know I can't have
To feel sad and lonely for what I lost
~A thousand knives, cutting my soul up
Carry the sounding
I know they're reaching you
Asking forgiveness
They'll hold you forever
~Into the dark
A cry of anguish
Hoping to grasp your heart
Only the soul can tell
I'll sleep forever
~A thousand knives, cutting my soul up
Carry the sounding
I know they're reaching you
Asking forgiveness
They'll hold you forever
~Into the dark
A cry of anguish
Hoping to grasp your heart
Only the soul can tell
I'll sleep forever
~A thousand knives, cutting my soul up
Carry the sounding
I know they're reaching you
Asking forgiveness
They'll hold you forever
~A thousand knives, cutting my soul up
Carry the sounding
I know they're reaching you
Asking forgiveness
They'll hold you forever

A cry of anguish
Hoping to grasp your heart
Only the soul can tell
I'll sleep forever

Kai quickly stepped away from his synthesizer, picked up his own guitar, and started them off.

Hoping to grasp your heart
